Jaivon smiled. “You’re adorable,” he cooed, then pushed Mario’s hotel room open stepping around him. “Buona notte.”
“What is he doing?” Mario asked Bryce to turn to look at Jaivon over his right shoulder.
“If you don’t want to go out, little omega, then we’ll eat in. Until you realize we’re mates, we are not going to let you out of our sight.” Jaivon strolled over to the nightstand and picked up the hotel phone.
“So I’m a fucking hostage?” Mario spun around to look at Bryce.
“Is that something you’re into?” Bryce asked, stepping closer to him and invading all of his personal space. “Would you like to be our hostage for the night? Being tied to the bed while Jai…”
“Do not say another fucking word,” Mario snapped and pointed his finger in his face.
Don’t get turned on, don’t get turned on. They can smell your arousal, you idiot.
“I think you like the sound of that little omega,” Bryce taunted. “Maybe if you’re a good little mate we’ll tie you up and take you to heaven.”
“Tell him to put the phone down. We’ll eat out.” Mario growled. He turned and walked out of the room praying to every deity that he wasn’t making a fucking mistake.
Why do I let his words get to me?
Because he’s already figured out your kinky game. A voice whispered in the back of his head.
Jaivon smiled as he hung up the phone. “You’re having way too much fun,” Bryce said to his brother.
“I can’t help it. I like seeing him blush.”
“He’s going to be a fucking handful, once he realizes how much of a hold he has on us already.” Jaivon shoved his hands in his pockets.
“Are you scared?” Bryce asked.
“Hell no, I welcome the challenge.” Jaivon walked over and stood in front of Bryce. “What else were you going to say before he stopped you?”
Bryce smirked and circled an arm around Jaivon pressing their lips together. “I think I’ll keep that gem to myself and maybe one day I’ll let you in on it.”
He walked out of the room leaving Jaivon to imagine all the things he could do to the two men once they ironed things out. Jaivon didn’t want to admit that he was also afraid the omega would’ve left the country the first chance he got. The more he thought about their conversation earlier, Jaivon was thankful and a bit disappointed that the alpha who had hurt his mate was dead. Even after hearing what happened, he remained angry.
Jaivon and Bryce discussed things over in their room. While they were cautiously optimistic that Mario would come around, they weren’t convinced it would happen quickly.
Although they agreed to give Mario some space they didn’t want to give him too much.
“It’s a double edged sword,” Bryce said to him.
“What do you mean?”
“If we give him too much space, he’ll think we were only saying we’re mates to get in his pants,” he explained. “But if we crowd him we might run the risk of pushing him away.”
“So what do we do?”
“We let him lead, for a bit.”
Jaivon snorted. “You realize he’s carrying a big ass bolder on his shoulders, right?”
“Hell yeah,” Bryce answered. “I’m not saying we give up all control, just enough to where he can see and feel a part of us instead of two alphas bossing around the little omega.”
“So instead we let the omega boss us around.”
“In some instances, yes.”
“Aright, I’ll go along with this, for a bit only because I think you’re right about him needing to feel he is a part of us.”
“I’m glad you can agree with me on this. Let’s get cleaned up and go get him. I have a feeling he’s going to try and run.”
“He wouldn’t dare.”
“Are you coming?” Jaivon looked at Bryce who stood at the door entrance. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, just thinking.” Bryce said, going over to him.
“About what?” Jaivon gazed into his brother’s eyes seeing the heated storm brewing in them. Just like omegas, alphas experienced their own mating heat. It was taking everything in them to not feed into their animalistic need to claim the feisty omega.
“Hey. Are we having dinner or what?” Mario said, standing at the doorway. “We should’ve stuck to the original plan and met in the lobby.”
“Hold on, little omega. Give me and my brother a few minutes,” Bryce told him.
Mario shrugged and left.
“Jaivon?” Bryce asked again.
“Nothing important.”
Jaivon wasn’t being truthful. For the first time in a while Jaivon feared losing his first love if things didn’t work out with Mario. He hadn’t expected Bryce’s feelings to change as quickly as they did throughout the short moments they’d spent with Mario. He knew they needed an omega but Jaivon thought it would’ve taken time for them to connect.
Funny, how I was in a rush to mate. Now I’m the one running scared?
“Is something bothering you? You know you can talk to me.” Bryce cupped one of his cheeks.
Jaivon lightly touched the hand on his cheek and kissed it. “I know. Come on let’s go eat. I'm starving.” He went to move but Bryce stopped him.
“Nope, not so fast. I can tell when you’re lying,” Bryce said to him. Jaivon went to speak but words failed him. “I won’t ask what you’re hiding from me, but…” Bryce suddenly stopped and sighed. “You’re not alone in what you’re feeling.”
“What do you think I’m feeling?”
“If this doesn’t work out with Mario, I’ll lose you. I know how much you’ve been waiting for our mate Jai, but it’s going to work out.”
Jaivon wasn’t surprised at what Bryce said. “How are you so sure?”
“The fates had a reason for allowing us to get together before meeting Mario and they’ll allow us to fall in love with him also. Will we all live happily ever after? I don’t know, but things will work out between us.”
Jaivon smiled and pressed their foreheads together. “I love you.”
Bryce returned the grin. “You drive me crazy, but I love you, too.”
Bryce leaned in and kissed Jaivon putting some of his fears and doubts to rest. They separated when they heard a gasp looking in the direction of the door.
“I’ve seen you guys kiss a few times today and each time I keep thinking why the hell you want me? You two are so connected. What can I add to your happy world? It’s never going to work.” Mario sounded annoyed.
“Are you rejecting us?” Bryce asked.
Mario looked away. “I don’t know. How would I fit into all of this?”
“You won’t,” Bryce said.
“So, now you’re the ones rejecting me?” Mario shook his head and laughed. “Why the hell are you in my room then?” His eyebrows furrowed.
“Let me finish, dammit. Stop jumping to fucking conculsions.” Bryce scoffed.
“All right, then finish what you have to say so I can go fucking eat!” Mario countered.
Jaivon looked between them, knowing this would be akin to another world war. Getting Mario on par with them would be a fucking miracle.
“You won’t fit with us in the sense that Jai and I have built a portion of our old lives together. But it’s time for us to start something new, with you.”
“So you’re just going to forget what you had and start all over again? That doesn’t make any damn sense.” Mario crossed his arms.
“Why are you being so damn thick headed?” Bryce yelled. “Of course, we’re not going to forget what we have. But we can’t keep living in the damn past when our fucking future is standing right in front of us!”
Jaivon covered his mouth to hide his smile. It was a serious moment and he shouldn’t be laughing at the two men glaring at each other, but he was looking at his future. He was in love with a man who was stubborn as hell and could see himself falling in love with another who would never back down from a fight.
<
br /> Yup, my life will never be boring.
Without saying a word, Jaivon walked out of the room and headed towards the elevator that was only a couple of doors down from Mario’s room. He pressed the button for down and waited for the other two.
“Where the hell is he going?” He heard Mario ask.
“That’s his way of ending a fight,” Bryce answered.
“So he just walks away, not saying anything?”
“You’ll learn to live with it. I’ve done it my whole life.”
Jaivon turned around and shook his head at the two of them.
“That’s just…” Mario started then stopped.
“Yeah, I know,” Bryce answered. “He hates fighting.”
Jaivon got on the elevator and stopped the door from closing. “You two can keep discussing to fight or not to fight, but I’m going to go eat.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Bryce said, stepping on. “We can fight more later, or do other things.”
“Don’t push it,” Mario said, joining them. “I’m still not convinced we’re an equal match.”
“Before this trip is over, you will,” Jaivon said.
Jaivon looked at his two men smiling. Although he had doubts, Bryce was right. Things would work out.
Chapter Ten
Riding the elevator with the two alphas made things even more difficult. Mario began to sweat profusely, his mouth went dry, and he could barely breathe.
I should’ve nixed the tie. Is it going to be like this the whole night?
If it was, Mario would be in trouble. He would have to sneak off to take his suppressants. Why was he keeping it from the two alphas? It wasn’t as if they weren’t aware he needed to keep his heat from raging.
Admittedly, Mario was embarrassed. Keeping up with his heat and suppressants was his responsibility. But if he didn’t take them soon he was bound to go crazy and probably hump one of their legs or both before the night was over.
Why did I agree to this shit?
Mario tugged on his collar and glanced at Bryce and Jaivon. Only Jaivon grinned at him, then looked back at his brother.
What the fuck? Why am I here again?
Mario mentally kicked himself for not declining their invite. Although he fully understood what Bryce explained upstairs, he still wasn’t totally onboard. What kind of relationship would they have with the brothers being so hot for each other?
I already feel like a fucking third wheel, how am I supposed to be myself in an already established relationship? Most looking in on their relationship would think Mario’s big issue was that Jaivon and Bryce were twin brothers, but he didn’t care. He had no cause to judge who others fall in love with. Mario’s main concern was not getting his heart broken, again.
Why the fuck do they have to be so damn good looking? If they were unattractive it might have been easy for me to reject them.
Mario looked at the brothers and even though they were twins, they seemed different in many ways. And although Mario hated to admit it he was charmed by both men. Jaivon had a smile that made his insides flutter while Bryce, who seemed to be more serious, held him with such passion it made his knees weak.
Why the fuck is this elevator taking so damn long? I need to get away from them just for a second.
Mario gasped when his vision was blocked by Jaivon who backed him into the corner of the elevator.
“You have no idea what you’re doing to me right now.”
“W...what?” Mario swallowed and tried to figure out if he blurted out something like fuck me now without realizing it.
“Whatever you’re thinking about has your pheromones filling up this tiny space.” He leaned in close and nuzzled Mario’s cheek. “If you don’t want me to claim you now think of something else.”
“How the hell am I supposed to think with you so damn close?” Mario griped.
“He’s right, little omega.” Bryce was next to him.
Mario couldn’t figure out how they moved so damn fast.
“I…” Mario was saved when the elevator doors opened. He pushed Jaivon away from him and rushed out. He made his way outside, not stopping in the lobby. When the cool summer breeze hit Mario’s face he was able to somewhat get himself under control.
Shit. This is such a bad time to be losing it.
Mario huffed and bent over, trying to catch his breath. Just when he thought he might be calming down, a strong hand pressed on his lower back.
“Dinner is inside,” Jaivon said. “Unless you want to eat in the driveway, which I don’t think the hotel would appreciate.” He added a laugh.
Mario couldn’t help but chuckle. “No they wouldn’t. Why don’t you two meet me inside? I need a few minutes to catch my breath.
And come up with an escape route.
“Nope. One of us will wait with you. Since Jaivon is hungry, I’ll let him go ahead. We can’t leave you alone and let you run again.” Bryce said, sounding sympathetic.
Fuck! How do they know my every move?
Mario grumbled under his breath, avoiding Bryce’s gaze.
“Hold on a sec, Jaivon. Look, Mario, you keep forgetting we’re already linked. I might not know exactly what you’re thinking, but I get a feeling when you’re trying to run. When we mate you won’t be able to hide anything from me.”
“Or me.” Jaivon chimed in. “I know you’re scared and I’d be worried if you weren’t but we’re going to do this together.”
Mario sighed and shook his head. “Fine, you caught me. I… I’m totally not ready for this, okay? Even this simple dinner is freaking me out.”
“I understand, but you trying to run each and every time won’t solve things either. We will track you down and find you. That’s a guarantee.” Bryce said.
Mario huffed. “Fine. Let’s go eat. I’m having hot flashes and shit, so don’t be surprised if I drink a shit ton of water, meaning I’ll be making plenty of trips to the restroom. And don’t sit too close to me. You guys are overwhelming as it is.”
“Damn you’re demanding,” Bryce said, sounding exsaperated.
“Well, who the hell did you think you were getting as a mate, some omega you can push around? You two better be ready because I’m not going to take your I the alpha bullshit. I…”
“That’s good,” Jaivon said, cutting him off. “Come on, you two are going to drive me fucking crazy. It’s time to have dinner, then we’ll make plans on what to do afterwards.”
They walked back into the hotel with Bryce in front of him and Jaivon behind him. They were giving him room to breathe which was what he wanted but they were not going to let him out their sights.
“Buona notte, signore,” the hostess said when all three of them walked into the restaurant.
Mario couldn’t help but roll his eyes when he noticed the hostess. She batted her fake lashes at Jaivon, looking him up and down. Her tight white collared shirt with at least three of the top buttons undone showed more than just her cleavage.
She might as well walk around naked. Seriously, how many flies is she trying to catch showing off her boobs?
Mario scowled. If Jaivon was looking at her chest he was going to punch him in the face.
“Buona notte, signora,” Jaivon said. “Prenotazione per tre.”
Mario crossed his arms and ignored the conversation watching the hostess continue to make come fuck me eyes at Jaivon.
“That’s not the Italian he wants,” Bryce whispered in Mario’s ear.
“What?” Mario glanced over his shoulder at Bryce.
“You were growling, it’s pretty cute,” he said smiling.
“I was not,” Mario defended with a huff. “And I have no idea what you’re talking about. I don’t care if he shows interest in Miss two big boobs.”
“If you say so, little omega. Come on.”
Bryce grabbed his hand and followed behind Jaivon. The hostess did her best, “let me hypnotize you with my hips,” wiggle.
“Grazi,” Jaivon said, when they were shown to
their table.
“Bon appetito,” the hostess said as she walked away.
Mario looked at Jaivon and growled when he saw the man watching the woman walk off.
“Is that the kind of thing you like?” Mario snapped.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Jaivon said turning to him with confusion written all over his face.
Bryce was on the other side of Mario snickering trying to hold his laughter.
“Not ten minutes ago you wanted to hump me in the elevator and now you’re watching that thing walk away.”
“Yeah, cause I was trying to figure out if I should tell her about the toilet paper stuck on the bottom of her shoe,” Jaivon said innocently.
Bryce lost it. He laughed so hard, he doubled over and held his stomach.
Mario couldn’t believe what he just heard.
You’re an idiot.
“I… well damn.” Mario’s face heated, lips pinned.
Bryce continued to chuckle, nearly falling out of his chair.
“You really are sexy when you’re jealous,” Jaivon said to Mario. “Pick out what you want for dinner then, hmm? Spare no expense.”
Mario harrumphed. “I’ll pay for my own meal.”
“The hell you will!” Jaivon said.
A few other customers turned around, gasping and whispering.
“Shit. Now, you want to cause a scene? Is this you showing off your inner alpha?” Mario smirked. Getting an alpha all riled up was the fun part.
Bryce stopped laughing and put his hand atop Mario’s. “No, little omega. We’re only doing what we’re supposed to do as gentlemen. But if you want to pay for your meal, we’ll let you.” Bryce glared at Jaivon.
Mario looked between him and then back at the menu. “Good. I would because I can afford it. I’ve got enough money to pay for everyone.”
“Now that you won’t do,” Bryce interjected.
“Just order the damn food,” Jaivon said, sounding snippy.
“With pleasure.” Mario answered with a smile.
One point for me.
