Hate to Forget Page 19

by L V Chase

“Good,” he says, the word coming out hoarse. “Next, you’ll need to form your own experiments. You’ll need to be able to conduct yourself in a way that is rigorous and exploratory.”

I slip off the counter, my legs sliding against his legs. As I get onto my knees, he takes a small step backward, but his hard length still bumps against the silk of my robe. He closes his eyes, his lips moving in a quick prayer as I graze my cheek against him again.

  “Goddamn, Sadie,” he mutters.

I love how easily I unravel him. I love how easily he unravels me.

My mouth moves to his groin. His hand settles on top of my head. As I take him in my mouth, he inhales sharply. I roll my tongue underneath him. He doesn’t have his usual salty taste, but the way he’s tensing and his hand is gripping onto my hair now, it’s more than enough for me. My hand reaches back down between my legs, rubbing and circling.

I slide my mouth off him. I slide my finger up and down his shaft, then lower and further back. My tongue follows the same pattern. I hear him reciting the Society’s rules in an attempt to remain in control. When I take him in my mouth again, his hand slides back to the crown of my head. He doesn’t push, but the pressure is more than before. I take him in as far as I can before I pull back, the tip of my tongue teasing the head with small circles.

Both of his hands grasp the sides of my head. He guides me back onto my feet. His lips are pressed together.

“I don’t need to pretend about anything with you,” he says. “You’re a goddamn wonder woman.”

He scoops me up, holding me tight to his chest, and carries me to our bedroom. The pulse between my legs is nearly a nuisance now. He drops me onto my feet and strips the robe off of me. As I stand naked in front of him, he kisses me, rough and hurried as his hands grip onto my waist. I barely recover from the kiss before he tosses me onto the bed. He joins me, pushing my knees outward. He settles between my legs and we’re face-to-face. His weight is on his elbows.

“I bet you enjoyed making me almost lose control,” he says.

I smile up at him. “I enjoy everything about you.”

He kisses me. He shifts his weight, raising himself up a few inches. He drags himself across my entrance. I squirm. He pulls himself up higher, then rests against my opening. I grip onto his waist, trying to guide him back down. My legs spread wider.

He lowers himself back down, pressing himself against me with more urgency. I take in a deep breath as he thrusts forward.

I fold around him, my hands locked behind his neck and my ankles hooked behind his back. With every thrust, my ankles fall apart, but I’m desperate to be close to him. His thrusts are wild, coming down so hard on me that my hip bones feel like they’re vibrating.

He slows down just as I’m about to reach the peak.

“Come on,” I groan. “You’re such a tease.”

He laughs, then kisses me. “I wanted to make the moment last.”

He rotates his hips, causing enough friction to send heat flooding into my face. I pull him into another kiss as our bodies continue to grind against each other. In the back of my mind, I can feel the newly born bruises on my hips and his leg hair brushing against my legs, but it’s barely noticeable compared to his hand squeezing my breast, his mouth pressed hard against my mouth, his groin against mine, his length bumping against the most sensitive parts inside my body, and the growing pressure, threatening to explode in the deepest part of me.

  “I love you,” I say.

“I love you and always will,” he says.

His hands move down to my ass, gripping onto both cheeks before thrusting into me in quick bursts. The sudden change is all I need.

My body tenses and his name comes out like a curse. I’m clenching onto him with all of me as sunlight dawns in my veins. It’s more than pleasure. It’s a cure for all the worst parts of life. It consumes me so completely that I’m paralyzed by it until Klay comes inside me, the warmth flooding in me, and a spark of that euphoria starts again, tucking me in its pocket, where everything is pure bliss.

Klay collapses down beside me. After a minute, he pulls my arm out from under him, kissing my fingers before holding it between the two of us.

“Not a bad end to our high school career,” he says.

I turn toward him. Despite everything, he’s right. After everything fell apart, I thought the Society had won, but we’ve rebuilt our lives to keep the Society happy while not becoming fully mired in their world. Klay does his best, sharing the brunt of the burden. We shook hands with the devil, but the devil doesn’t share our moments like this, where Heaven is cascading in my body and lingering on his skin.

The devil lives in the Society, but here, we’re naked in Eden.

  We’re in paradise.

  About the Author

I love stories that are fast, twisted, heart-wrenching, and alive, because the happiest ending can only take place after the most delicious struggle.

After years of being a bookworm, I finally got around to writing down all the things tumbling in my head. I have plenty of more contemporary, dark, and new adult stories planned!

I swear nothing in these books is remotely related to my actual life, which mostly involves mundane suburbia interrupted by the antics of a growing toddler.
