HER EYES WENT WIDE after reading that line and a tear escaped. She swiped it away. Seeing her mother’s prophecy of her being joined to Eli, and the Protectors made her belief in her Oracle powers even more real. The date on the letter indicated it was written only a few weeks before her mother’s death. What was she doing in Greece? She continued reading the letter.

something Killian wants besides you. He’s
also searching for The Book Of Prophecy.

of each Oracle. Some of which haven’t
happened yet. It was lost to us,
but now you must find it before he does.
You hold the key.
She looked up from the letter. What did her mother mean, ‘She held the key?’ A literal key? Or did she mean it figuratively? All she knew right now was that answers were waiting for her in Greece. Now she just had to convince the Protectors to take her there. Either way, with or without them she would find this book before Killian did and get some answers.
