Emery smiled brightly too, nodding her head in agreement.
It was all a part of her plan.

Eris turned around when Em’s eyes wandered off.
“Ooooooh!” Brendan yelled, imitating Reggie Wright from All About The Benjamins. “Wassup, Maverick?! It’s been a lil’ minute.”
“What up, mane. Man, you growing up on me. Ain’t you like six-feet now?” he joked while standing next to him to do some fake measurements.
“Almost! Aye, my mama moving to Arizona, yo’! You still gon’ be around with us no longer being in St. Louis?”
Maverick smiled, flashing his hypnotizing mouth filled with golds.
“I’mma always be around, Lil’ Man. Just know that.”
