If you’ve read the prequel, you’re probably super curious about Maggie. Well, me too! Haha. I love all seven of these girls, and each one of them gets their story told. The way the timeline looks right now, hers will be book four. I know, I know. But I promise, it’ll be worth the wait.
I’ve got the first three books written, and I’m hoping they’ll be released very quickly, though editing and perfecting some of these character arcs takes a little time. I hope you understand. I’ll be working my ass off to get them to you, so don’t worry! The show must go on!
I also want to touch on another topic that is very near and dear to my heart; weak heroines. As you’ve read, Kora is a damsel in distress. She deals with mental illness, anxiety, panic attacks, and overall PTSD. But let me say this, she is not ‘weak’, at least not forever. I mean, she survived the effin’ apocalypse y’all! I know this really turns off some readers, but not everyone starts out as a sword wielding badass. I’m sorry.
Now, having said that, Kora’s story is not over. She’ll be showing her face quite often in the background, and plays quite a significant role in my female main character’s life in book two.
Lastly, I want to thank each and every person who has read this book to completion. Just reading this note is outstanding, and I want to extend my gratitude to you. Without you, this would have never been published. Also I want to give thanks to Winter (aka @notruby) and all of my amazing beta readers. You’ve all taken this book from blah to readable, and I wouldn’t have gotten here without you.
