She sat up and stretched, her beautiful breasts bouncing. “Nope. I mean, there aren’t a lot of us, but we’ve gotten good at hiding ourselves in these awkward, lumpy, human bodies.”
He and his brothers exchanged glances.
“So, we can touch you as much as we want.”
She raised a brow. “Clearly.”
“I think I love you.”
She looked at Golgoth and threw back her head, laughing. “Whoa, whoa, I know we just had a fun night, but can't you at least buy me coffee first?”
Golgoth felt his stomach drop. “We can’t go out in the day light where humans can see us.”
She flashed that smile that made his heart melt. “With a good glamour, you three can go anywhere you want. Now, how about that coffee?”
Golgoth just stared. The idea that he had more than one night with this beautiful woman, and that he might be able to give her normal things... like dates, like kisses... it made him imagine a whole new life. One where he was finally part of the world.
And where I can have a kind wife. And children.
But they’d have to start small, so he forced the words past his lips. “Coffee sounds perfect.”
And we’ll have to wear our costumes to prevent humans from accidentally touching us. Perhaps she can ‘glamour’ that too?
As he dressed and pretended not to watch her, he decided something. He wouldn’t just give this woman one perfect night. He’d give her a lifetime of perfect nights.
She deserved it.
