Almost all of the mages of the Tower of Dusk were injured, and Gavin's c.h.e.s.t was oozing with blood that stained his bandage. However, he was still holding onto the magic staff and waving it around without any expression, casting spell after spell on the enemies. The pharmacist Wilkinson's magic robe was stained with blood, but instead of healing potions, he ingested potions that had been infused with mana. Gerian, whose arm was crippled, scurried out and cast spells while wielding his magic staff.
Even Gavin, the commander who stood in the center, was attacked and deeply wounded by an assassin of the Dark Blade. However, he could not be bothered to put on a bandage, and simply used magic to freeze his wound, after which he continued to command the mages to get them to proceed with the attack.
"If you must blame someone, blame your President. This is the disaster he brought on you! One day, some of you will become Undead creatures. Greet him on my behalf when you have the opportunity to do so." Borg laughed maniacally, sending a cold chill down their spines.
However, at this moment, a massive mana wave suddenly erupted in the sky, sweeping the entire battlefield like a storm. In the battlefield, the two sides paused in unison as fear made them tremble uncontrollably.
As the terrifying mana appeared, they realized that there were only two colors they could see. Be it on the ground beneath them or the sky above, everything turned black and white. It was so oppressive that they were on the verge of despair, as if it was almost the end of the world.
The blurry figure in the white sky seemed extremely gigantic to them, just as if they were just insignificant ants. The suffocating mana wave seemed so extremely overbearing that none of them dared to retaliate.
Lin Li floated quietly over the top of the Tower of Dusk, looking down at the battlefield where a battle between the Dark Blade and the Tower of Dusk was taking place. When he saw the corpses of the mages of the Tower of Dusk, an icy cold gaze filled his eyes.
"Dark Blade, you asked for your own death!" Lin Li barked while keeping a straight face and raising the Helios' Scepter in his hand. The streams of light weaved around the scepter all the way to the top, while the huge gemstone instantly burst into a dazzling ray of light.
The huge mana waves that flooded the heavens and earth immediately surged upwards, creating a destructive Mana Storm. Hundreds of Angels of Light and Dark appeared, holding spears and shuttling through the sky. They continuously rushed to the ground without stopping.
With a loud roar, the hundreds of Angels of Light and Dark darted towards the people in the battlefield like lightning. Everyone watched in horror with a look of hopelessness in their eyes. They wanted to flee, but could not move their feeble legs. They wanted to retaliate, but could not seem to hold their weapons up.
On the battlefield, the shrilling yells sounded for a brief moment before silence was restored again.
The mages of the Tower of Dusk were surprised to find that the members of the Dark Blade who had just fought against them had vanished in the blink of an eye. Even till now, they still dared not believe that the terrifying figure in the sky was actually there to help the Tower of Dusk.
"It's President. President is back!" Gavin shouted excitedly. When encircling and suppressing the Syer Bandits in the Dragon Mountains, he had personally witnessed the President, Lin Li, exhibiting his Magical Domain of frost, light, and darkness. Even though there were no laws of ice in this Magical Domain, he was sure that Lin Li was the only one who could create the Angels of Light and Dark.
Upon hearing Gavin's yell of excitement, the mages of the Tower of Dusk burst into cheers after a moment of silence. The attack of the Dark Blade had been getting more and more intense and menacing. Even with the help of the mages from the Malfa Family, the future of the Tower of Dusk still had been gloomy and bleak. Everyone had said that the President would not come back and wavered. In fact, they'd also got ready to go all out and give up everything they had.
However, not only did their President return, he even effortlessly destroyed the hundreds of elites of the Dark Blade. His power was definitely not weaker than that of the Legendary-mage of the Dark Blade. All the mages in the Tower of Dusk got their hopes up again. Although they knew that there were two Legendary leaders in the Dark Blade, they still believed that under the leadership of the President, they would be able to defeat the Dark Blade this time.
Lin Li descended from the sky and quietly floated towards Borg.
"F-Felic!" Borg grimaced when he saw the enemy in front of him. He gritted his teeth, and bitterly exclaimed, "I didn't expect you to make it out alive, but great, I finally have an opportunity to take revenge!"
Staring at Borg whose hair was all white, Lin Li was stunned because he couldn't recognize him at all. He wondered, Is this the same person who stepped into the Malfa Family's campground and asked to cooperate with Cheyenne? It had only been half a year, yet the Legendary powerhouse of the Dark Blade seemed to have aged 10 years at once.
Although he and Stephen had fought each other, Stephen had already been dead in a sense. However, Lin Li did not intend to explain this to Borg. Although he sympathized with Borg, the damage that the Dark Blade had brought the Tower of Dusk was absolutely unforgivable.
"I will make you regret coming back!" Borg suddenly raised his staff, after which the gemstone on his staff suddenly emitted an infinite ray of black light. In a flash, a Magical Domain that was covered in blazing black flames extended to the surroundings.
The black flames derived from the Darkness Laws and Flame Energy contained the power to burn everything in the world. Rather than melting, any metal would be burned to ashes in an instant, and light wouldn't fare any better.
Seeing that Borg's Black Flames domain was about to engulf him soon, Lin Li quickly raised the Helios' Scepter and gently pointed it forward.
Borg suddenly felt a huge force above his head, and he looked up to see that a Light and Darkness Sword had somehow condensed above him. It was then slashing down with infinite power.
"Bang!" A loud noise exploded and two strong forces collided together, making it almost impossible for everyone to stand up properly.
The newly formed Black Flames Domain had already disappeared, and Borg turned as pale as a sheet, after which he spat out a large mouthful of blood and fell to the ground like a shooting star.
Chapter 693 - Level-23
Everyone was stunned. Even the mages of the Tower of Dusk couldn't believe it and rubbed their eyes hard. The Legendary-mage Borg from the Dark Blade was a powerful man who was famous and formidable in the Breezy Plains, yet he was defeated in just one blow by the President of the Tower of Dusk!
Everyone knew that Lin Li was already a Legendary-mage, regardless of whether they had met him before. However, they felt that he was absurdly strong because he could not be defeated even by Borg from the Dark Blade who was also a Legendary-mage!
The Sword Sage Baldela leaped forward and grabbed Borg who fell to the ground before looking at Lin Li fearfully. "Borg, we…"
Borg wiped the blood off the corner of his lips and stared at Lin Li who was in the sky before exclaiming, "Let's go together!" Before Baldela even agreed, Borg darted towards Lin Li.
Baldela sighed and followed Borg to dash towards Lin Li while exerting explosive Combat Energy.
"Damn it, what kind of world is this? That rascal Felic is becoming more and more incredible!" Gerian cursed while staring at the battle between the three Legendary powerhouses, though he was actually filled with satisfaction and p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. After all, he was from the Jarrosus Guild of Magic.
Watching the battle between Legendary powerhouses had always been the best way to gain experience. The people of the Dark Blade were too horrified to even move, so the mages of the Tower of Dusk stared at the sky with concentration, hoping to gain more experience from the battle.
However, to the shock of the mages of the Tower of Dusk, the two Legendary leaders of the Dark Blade did not manage to endure that long.

bsp; After fighting for a while, Lin Li quickly chanted a magic spell in the language of the High Elves. In the Light and Darkness Domain, countless black and white silk threads suddenly appeared and intertwined like a large net that shrouded the two Legendary leaders of the Dark Blade.
Baldela's double-edged sword glowed menacingly, and he used it to cut into the large net made of black and white silk threads. Of course, he knew that black and white silk threads were not made of real silk but mana instead. However, a sword attack made of condensed Combat Energy could also be used to cut magic apart. However, he did not expect the sword to have no effect on the black and white silk threads, as if he had cut through a shadow.
Before Baldela could react, he was already covered by the large net made of black and white silk. Besides, as soon as the black and white silk threads touched his body, they seemed to have come to life and penetrated into his body. None of his Combat Energy or clothing could prevent the attacks from landing.
After being invaded by the black and white silk threads, Baldela's Combat Energy seemed to vanish, and he fell straight to the ground. When he fell, he saw Borg falling from the sky together with him.
"Turns out the Light and Darkness Seal works unexpectedly well," Lin Li said while floating in the air, watching Baldela and Borg fall to the ground one after another. He was extremely satisfied with the magic spell that he had learned in the chaos of time and space.
It was a magic spell that Lin Li saw in the book of magic belonging to the High Elves, which was used by the High Elves to take prisoners in the Dark Age. The magic spell would cause everything to be frozen forever, be it mana or Combat Energy. Lin Li named it the Light and Darkness Seal, but in fact, the same effects could be achieved even if other Elemental Power was used.
Baldela and Borg who were in the Light and Darkness Seal could no longer activate their Legendary power, hence becoming mortals. Sometimes, death was not terrifying. The feeling of falling from the clouds to the ground was the greatest punishment to them.
Seeing his two Legendary leaders being defeated by the young President of the Tower of Disk effortlessly, the members of the Dark Blade, who had just been fearless, were now full of panic, which was written all over their faces. They were all ready to run away.
However, Lin Li did not plan to just let them off easily. Although only less than 20 mages of the Tower of Dusk had died, each one's demise was agonizing to him because they were all potential future Legendary-mages.
"You guys go ahead and heal yourselves. Someone else will take care of this." Lin Li landed on the ground and spoke to the mages of the Tower of Dusk who were waiting to retaliate. He then touched the Dream Garden that was on his finger to release the petite Xiao Hua.
Xiao Hua, which had long received Lin Li's instructions through mental strength, turned around and dashed towards the Dark Blade. Seeing that it was a tiny creature charging towards them, the remaining members of the Dark Blade could not help but find it extremely absurd. However, when they were bombarded with the Magic Storm that was made up of countless spells, they finally realized that Xiao Hua was adorable but terrifying.
For half a year in the chaos of time and space, the Elemental Wyrm Xiao Hua was completely unrestricted, and continuously drew mana from the magical crystal of the Seed of Eternity without restraint. Its growth rate was almost the same every day, and it had now successfully reached the Legendary level, not inferior to the Elemental Wyrm projection that had caused Lin Li huge trouble back then.
Although Xiao Hua was powerful enough to deal with the members of the Dark Blade and destroy them, Lin Li did not stop at that. Instead, he continued to summon the 20 Alchemy Puppets from the Ring of Endless Storm.
Lin Li was extremely learned and proficient in Alchemy. Although the Alchemy Puppets were from the Immortal King, altering the control core of the alchemy puppets was not too difficult for Lin Li, because he had done some research. The only thing he lacked was a strong soul that had to be fused with the Alchemy Puppets in order to fully exert their power. Besides, Lin Li had only nabbed some considerably powerful magical beasts and got Ujfalusi to extract its power and induce it into the Alchemy Puppets. That was the reason the Alchemy Puppets only had level-18 and level-19 power.
However, the 20 Shadow Assassins that were made from shadow iron were an absolute threat and horror to the enemies even though they were only level-18 and level-19. The members of the Dark Blade who were running around were consecutively sliced apart by the black shadows that constantly appeared by their side.
Under the siege of the 20 Shadow Assassins and the Elemental Wyrm Xiao Hua, none of the members of the Dark Blade who had attacked the Tower of Dusk could escape. In the blink of an eye, the ground around the Tower of Dusk was covered with corpses and blood. Although the mages of the Tower of Dusk were satisfied, they could not help but feel a little scared.
"Those who are uninjured or lightly injured, clean up this place and bury the corpses," Lin Li said to Gavin, who was walking towards him, as he turned around.
"Yes, Sir. I'll arrange for it to be done now," Gavin said respectfully. Even now, he still felt like he was dreaming. The two Legendary powerhouses of the Dark Blade that had already been famous for years actually couldn't withstand the attacks by Lin Li. He could not help but wonder how strong Lin Li had become.
Gavin instructed his subordinates to clean up the battlefield, while Lin Li turned and walked towards Gerian, the chubby old man. Extremely amused, he asked, "Old fogy, how have you become like this!?"
Gerian did not feel embarrassed at all. He pouted, and said, "Do you think I wanted to be like this? If you'd come back earlier, I wouldn't have ended up in this state. I was initially planning to retire here, yet I still had to take part in the battle even though I'm now a bag of old bones."
"Yeah, it's all my fault. Let's go in," Lin Li said while holding onto Gerian and walking towards the hall of the Tower of Dusk. Along the way, he asked, "When did the people from the Dark Blade arrive? Are the people in Black Clouds Town alright?"
"The Black Clouds Town is alright. The people from the Dark Blade headed straight here. They might have decided to come after hearing that you didn't return with Cheyenne. The battle lasted for a full six months. Fortunately, you left some powerful weapons and items behind in the Tower of Dusk. Otherwise, we might not have been able to endure until now." Gerian suddenly saw Baldela and Borg who were being held down. He then turned to look at Lin Li, and said, "I know of those two Legendary powerhouses. They've been famous for a long time. You actually managed to destroy both of them easily! What level are you now? 22? 23?"
Lin Li smiled and raised three fingers.
"Three? Twenty… three?" Gerian stood rooted to the ground in shock while his eyes and mouth widened. Deep down, he cursed, Damn it, how is this reasonable? That rascal was so weak when he first arrived in Jarrosus. It has only been a short period of time. When he left, he was only level-21, yet he's level-23 now!? All he did was visit the Haiga Mountain Range!
During the six months he'd spent in the chaos of time and space, Lin Li did not procrastinate at all. The epiphany he had in the Seven-Realm Spiral and the Endless Labyrinth, as well as the knowledge he gained from studying the Book of Eternity, coupled with the assistance of the controlling magical crystal and the Tree of Eternity's seed, helped Lin Li reach level-23 quickly. When he left, he even pushed himself to the peak of level-23.
Although Baldela and Borg were strong, they were still far inferior compared to Lin Li. Their loss this time wasn't undeserved.
Upon returning to the hall, Lin Li saw the few mages who were sent by the Malfa Family to support them. Staring at the Dark Moon Staffs that they were holding and the Faro's Robes that they were wearing, he deduced that they were the elites of the Malfa Family.
Lin Li nodded slightly. He thought that Cheyenne could send someone to help when he was stuck in the Sky Castle; it seemed that it was worth cooperating with the Malfa Family. Of course, that did no
t rule out the possibility of the Malfa Family harboring designs on the Tower of Dusk, but Lin Li did not harp on it. After all, it was normal for Cheyenne to think that Lin Li wouldn't be able to make it out again.
Chapter 694 - One by One
Lin Li could totally guess that all of the prominent forces in the Breezy Plains were thinking of attacking the Tower of Dusk during the six months that he was away. He reckoned that perhaps even the Supreme Council had already gotten ready to select a candidate to take over after Lin Li. After all, the Tower of Dusk was still an official Guild of Magic of the Tower of Dusk.
The Tower of Dusk which had just been established less than two years ago brought them too much surprise in this short period of time. At the beginning, everyone had just been wondering if the Tower of Dusk could gain a strong footing in the Breezy Plains, but as they developed, everyone started to wonder if the Tower of Dusk would become the third major force alongside the Dark Blade and the Malfa Family. Upon hearing that Lin Li did not leave the Haiga Mountain Range, everyone naturally began to covet the Tower of Dusk.
However, most people might not know where the true value of the Tower of Dusk lay. If Lin Li were absent, many of the original advantages of the Tower of Dusk would disappear with time.
It was not that there was anything wrong with the development that Lin Li had planned for the Tower of Dusk, but rather mainly that the Tower of Dusk had been established only for a short period of time. Although the mages of the Tower of Dusk were extremely talented, Lin Li had yet to nurture talents who were powerful enough to support the Tower of Dusk.
The simplest example was the pharmaceutical team that continuously brought huge benefits to the Tower of Dusk. Without Lin Li, pharmacists like Wilkinson would not continue to stay there. How could a few inexperienced disciples be able to sustain the business? If anyone were to really get their hands on the Tower of Dusk, they would realize that they obtained only a beautiful but empty shell.
