War of Fangs (The Unseen Book 1) Page 19

by L. A. Boruff

Before my orgasm was completely finished, he pulled the pillow off of my face and pushed himself into me. My favorite thing had always been the feel of Michael’s head as my body stretched to accommodate him, and it was no less wonderful and intense with Elias.

He thrust in and out shallowly a few times, wetting his shaft, before he was able to completely fill me. If he’d been half an inch longer, it would’ve been painful for him to sink all the way inside, but as it was, he was perfect.

He collapsed on top of me, slowly pumping his hips. “You’re amazing, Riley. It’s like your body was made for mine.”

I laughed, remembering Michael uttering those exact same words many times over the years. “I think it must’ve been.”

Unable to go slow for long, his speed built, and he moved his weight onto one hand while wrapping the other around me. He lifted me in a way I wouldn’t have thought possible, so that I was sort of sitting on his hips at an angle. Shifting onto his knees, he grabbed my hips, partially holding me up with his arms so that he could thrust into me.

The unique angle gave him the best spot to thrust, pushing me into another orgasm quicker than I would’ve thought possible. When he saw me throw my head back and moan, his thrusts became pounds.

His hips and arms worked together, and I just rode the wave of pleasure, bouncing on his dick. Once I grew quiet, he slowed and moved us so that I was on my knees, ass up.

Without any wait, he entered me again, pulling on my hips so that I matched his thrusts. I was so sated, I didn’t know if I could have moved myself anyway.

Every time his hips met mine, a jolt of pleasure washed over me, until I found myself up on all fours, pushing back against him as hard as I could.

He reached up and grabbed my hair again, making my moans turn into throaty yells, and my orgasm exploded, my pussy tightening around his dick.

He wasn’t far behind me. He let go of my hair and curled his body around mine, hugging me close as he climaxed. I pushed my body up and into his as his hips slowed and his arm moved up to clutch my breasts as they swung under me, nipples hard.

He kept his arm around me and pulled me sideways with him onto the bed, cock softening inside me. Once we were on our sides, I felt it slide out, along with the unpleasant feeling of leaking liquid. “I need to run to the bathroom,” I said. “I don’t like feeling wet after sex.”

He pulled me tight. “In a minute Riley, geez. Haven’t you ever heard of cuddling?”

“Cuddling is awesome, but it can wait until I’m clean and won’t get more fluids all over this bedspread.” This bedspread that we don’t have any idea whose fluids might already be on it. I really tried not to think about that part.

He squeezed me again. “I’ll leave more money since they’ll need to clean this room too. Use the pillowcase.”

I shook my head at his stubbornness and awkwardly grabbed the spare pillow—he and I shared one—to tug the case off.

Once it was off, I tucked it between my legs to catch anything leaking. “That’ll do,” I said.

I wiggled in his tight grip until I faced him.

“That was pretty great,” he said.

“Yes, it was.” Michael’s face popped into my head. “I didn’t think twice about it, either.”

“I think he’s made it pretty clear that he’s open to us having a relationship. And he was gone for a long time, Ri. He has to expect that your wants and needs have changed.”

“They have. I don’t think I’d feel complete any more without you in my life. You’re my best friend.” He had become my rock, my buddy, my trainer. He was a huge part of my life.

  “And Anthony?” he asked.

“Anthony was a curve ball, that’s for sure, but…” I didn’t know how to explain it. “I don’t want him to leave.”

“I know he doesn’t want to leave. He can’t get enough of you.” Elias grinned. “He’s gonna be so pissed when he finds out we didn’t wake him up.”

“I guess we’ll have to make it up to him,” I mused.

“You will! I’m not apologizing.” He popped a kiss on my nose. “Come on, let’s get back to bed before we’re missed.”

I cleaned myself as best I could with the pillow case, and then put my shirt and undies back on. We left the case wadded up, wet part inside, in the corner with another large wad of bills. “Are you going to run out of money?”

Elias laughed. “That will never be a problem for you again, Riley. We have money, Michael has money, by extension as his legal wife, you now have money, and lots of it.”

I shook my head, unable to comprehend not worrying about bills. “If you say so.”

We crept back to the room we shared with Anthony and Michael and found them still lying in the same positions we’d left them. I climbed into the bed beside Anthony. Elias joined us on my other side.

Anthony grumbled and pulled me close, and sleep suddenly sounded like the best thing I could do. I closed my eyes with Elias pressed to my front, Anthony pressed to my back, and Michael asleep in the corner, hopefully dream-free.

Only three hours passed before we were woken by a banging on our door. “It’s five in the morning, children. Time to get up!” Mama Pacha cackled and we heard the bathroom door slam.

I observed my men sleepily. “Coffee.” Michael jumped up and slipped on his jeans to go search the lobby area for a pot of coffee before I could open my mouth to protest that I didn’t mind going myself. I hoped he remembered how I liked it as he slipped out the door. Thank gods for a man that wants to spoil his lady by going on coffee runs.

I took a long shower. The water pressure and temperature at the hostel was phenomenal. I knew we needed to get moving, but if it was going to be my last shower, it was going to be a good one. I shaved and conditioned the tips of my hair. I’d actually thrown in the travel size microdermabrasion set I loved to use at home, so I went ahead and smoothed my skin so my makeup would go on easier. I took my time with my face, covering the few zits that cropped up overnight and making my eyes pop with some carefully placed eyeliner. All in all, I cleaned up pretty nice when I was finished.

My Gigi would roll over in her grave if her granddaughter waltzed into a whole new world without a face on. Oh, Gigi. I wish I could talk to you now. You’d love me having three boyfriends, you dirty old bird.

I’d never be a great beauty, but my self-esteem was fairly balanced. Everyone worried about body issues, and I was no exception. My view of my attractiveness was realistic. I was rather medium. Certainly not ugly, yet I was also not someone to write home about. I’d never understand how three men with the faces and physiques of my guys fell in love with me. They could have any celebrity or beauty queen in the world.

Once I was as good as it got, I made my way to our room where they sat patiently waiting on me. I filled another blood bag and took my vitamins while the boys drank their cups of blood. Michael took his to the bathroom to get ready. Is he going to drink while he brushes his teeth? Yuck. Fucking vampires.

I said up straightener, excited by my musings. Good lord, if I have Unseen relatives that can help me, I might not have to drink blood.

The thought of not drinking blood made me want to sprint to wherever the hell the portal was located, barrel through, and demand immortality from my ancestors.

I jumped up when the blood bag was full, and started bouncing on my toes. “Let’s go!”

Mama Pacha shushed me. “Pack some snacks, girl, we'll get hungry. It’s about a two-hour walk. When I’m not out in the world, I generally stay somewhere here on the island to be near the connection to my home. I don’t need a map.”

We packed up a couple of backpacks that the men insisted on carrying, and went on our way. “Mama Pacha, is there anything you can tell me about the world I might be going to?”

She huffed at me as we climbed the hill to the side of the hostel. “I’ll talk to you on the way down the hill, girl.” I tried to be patient and hold my questions until we crested the hill,
and she rewarded my patience with all the information she was willing to give me, which was a big fat nothing.

“I’ve told you, girl, it isn't my story to tell. To be honest, I don’t really know much. I understand what you are, but your people were almost extinct by the time I entered this world. No more of your ancestors were willing to cross the portal into this world. The ones that were here adored living here and were unwilling to leave. That scared those that were left behind in their home world.” She shrugged and continued. “I suppose they were afraid of losing their heritage, I don’t know. Maybe one of them came through and had a bad experience and frightened the others. For all I know, maybe they all already came through, then died, and you’ll be going to an empty dimension.” She cackled. “I guess we'll test your mettle today, young ’un.” She continued to laugh as we trudged down the path.

“Whatever the case, I’ve never heard anything about the world you are entering. I never even met one of your people in person. I heard stories, but like I said, when the last one died, the portals closed.”

“How could the last of my ancestors be dead, yet here I am, one of their descendants?”

“Part of the story I won’t tell, but I’ll make you a deal. If you go through and you do find an empty world, I will then tell you what I know. But you’ll have to send one of the boys in after me, because once I make it home, I’ll never return. I’ll write it out if it comes to that.”

Elias slowed to walk beside me and Mama Pacha. “I will go in and get any information I can find. Maybe some of the other gods in your world learned more.”

“I told you kids, we aren't gods. Our society and knowledge was more advanced than this world’s. I wonder how much more advanced they might be now?” she mused out loud.

The view was once again spectacular. I breathed deep, my altitude sickness almost gone since spending the night on the island. Focusing on the scenery helped me ignore the increasing anxiety in my gut.

Before getting in the shower, I’d managed to have a nice poop while two whole doors and a hallway separated me from the master noses. I had a clean colon, and I was on my way to my destiny.

I snickered, thinking about fart jokes. “Michael?”

“Yeah, Baby?” He stopped and waited for me to catch up.

“I didn’t fart. My butt blew you a kiss,” I said. He laughed uncertainly, unable to remember when he’d heard that joke before.

Elias saved him having to admit he didn’t remember. “Is that some inside joke?”

“When David was three, he tooted in my lap. I sort of scolded him about it being rude to pass gas in front of someone else. He replied with that, about blowing a kiss with his butt. It was so funny, Michael and I burst out laughing. So of course, he had to say that same joke every five minutes for the next six months, hoping to get another laugh out of us.”

Everyone chuckled at the memory of our little David, but Michael looked somber, unable to remember. I took his hand and squeezed it. “It’s okay, my love. We’ll make new memories and we'll go through my recollections until you know them so well you’ll swear you can remember them yourself.” He pulled our hands up to his mouth and kissed my knuckles. My anxiety took a back seat to my libido waking up for the day. Not the time, Hoo-Ha. Not the time.

Hand in hand with Michael, I once again tried to focus on the view as there was still a long walk ahead of us and I didn’t want to be thinking with my vagina the entire way.

“Mama Pacha?” asked Elias. “You haven’t mentioned anything about Viracocha, who was supposed to have created you and Supay and Inti. Was he from your world?”

“Oh, no, we made him up. We needed someone to flesh out our stories a bit. We told everyone that he created us on this island, and then Inti and Supay in turn created the human Inti and the Supay species.”

“Well then, okay. Everything we’ve learned our entire lives is made up,” said Anthony.

  “Pretty much, kid.”

We soon came upon a tiny village. A hut was set up along the walking trail with a fire pit outside. Delicious smells came from the little flame. My stomach growled loudly.

“Coya, allow me to buy you some lunch,” said Anthony.

“Gladly!” Mama Pacha replied for me. “Hey, handsome, why do you call her Coya?”

“Because if I have my way, she'll be my queen for the rest of my life.” My heart skipped a beat and I stared at him, this beautiful, romantic man I was growing to absolutely adore.

“How long have you known each other?” asked Mama Pacha.

“I’ve known her since before her husband was taken from her. I’ve watched over her for nearly nine years.” He stared at me lovingly. “I watched her break down when Michael was killed, and I almost went to her then. I only stopped out of fear that she might reject me, given how recent her grief was. Then Elias wormed his way into her life, and I couldn’t come up with a good excuse to worm my own way in. So I watched from afar.”

“Huh. Well, in my native tongue, Coya means toenail.” She smiled wanly.

Ignoring her, he turned and told the man at the hut he wanted two burritos and handed over several bills. I was too hungry to really care what they were. After handing me the wraps, he paid our toll to be able to get onto the north side of the island.

I bit into my lunch and moaned at the flavor explosion in my mouth. We continued on the path and I ate my burrito, savoring it. I gazed at several beaches as we walked past. It was far too chilly to swim, but I still yearned to jump into the blue water. We passed several cacti with interesting flowers, but vegetation was sparse otherwise.

All in all it took us closer to three hours to begin approaching a set of ruins running up a hill—the Chincana Labyrinth.

We followed Mama Pacha up the stairs. She skipped past several entrances and took us to the top. We entered and were given no time to marvel over the stone work or the maze that she knew by heart. She took us straight to a room that held a well. “This is it. The well is the portal. We told our followers that the well contained water that gave life. It was a nod to our spring at home. In reality, the well camouflaged the portal. We made sure it was always guarded, but no one was allowed to enter the room without one of us present. It kept people from seeing us going in or out.” She walked up to the crumbling stones of the well and stroked them with a shaking hand.

“So, what do we do?” I asked.

“All you have to do is touch it with your blood. The boys found the proper legend there, but they couldn’t have known it would have to be your blood to open it.”

I pulled Elias's arm so he’d turn around so I could dig a small knife out of his pack. I knew if I left it up to them to cut my hand, I’d never spill a drop of blood. I turned to the three men and we shared a meaningful look, each more reluctant than the other to begin the process. I walked up to Anthony and clasped him in a hug.

“Be careful, my Coya. Remember your training, it'll help you. You don't know the strength of the people you'll be facing, so stay on your toes.”

I turned to Elias next. He pulled me into a tight embrace. “You’re trained. If any human could handle this, it’s you. I had a hard time deciding whether or not to send you in armed. After talking it over with Anthony and Michael, we decided you should be.” He dropped his backpack and pulled out holsters, guns, and several knives. I loaded up, and made sure my weapons were carefully concealed. I wouldn’t take them out unless absolutely necessary.

Lastly, I turned to Michael. He stood and stared at me, rather lost. I smiled at him, but the smile didn't reach my eyes. “We won’t be apart for long, Michael.”

“Even a few minutes is too long, Baby. I can’t go with you. I can’t protect you. I can’t…I can’t stand this. Please don’t go. Don’t risk this! Our children should be able to have you in their lives for another forty to sixty years. At least give them and us that.” He dropped to his knees and put his arms around my waist. “Don’t leave me, Riley. Please don’t go through that portal.” />
I stood, ramrod straight, with the love of my life begging me to stay with him. I would give him the world, but I couldn't give him the one thing he was asking of me. Tears poured down my cheeks as well as the cheeks of Elias and Anthony. Even Mama Pacha’s eyes were filled with tears.

“Get up, Michael,” I whispered. He stood, his head hanging and his arms still tight around me. “I’ve got to go. I’m so sorry.” My voice broke and I took several deep breaths before continuing. “Michael, this is my only chance to live long enough to see our children grow up. I would be dead before they were even legal adults in the Unseen world.” He squeezed me to the point of pain, too upset to realize his strength.

Anthony stepped behind Michael and put his hand on Michael’s shoulder. I assumed he was calming him.

I put my hands in his hair and massaged. “Michael, I think you’re having a PTSD attack. Please, darling, step back for a second, and let Anthony help you.”

Michael shook, but he loosened his hold on me. He turned his head and matched Anthony’s gaze without letting me go. “Breathe when Anthony breathes, Michael,” Elias said. “Match your breaths to his, it'll help the calm take hold.”

“His mind is a web of panic. I don’t understand how he’s kept an attack like this at bay.” Anthony’s voice was hushed. Michael relaxed a little, his arms going to his sides. He turned back to me, and his eyes seemed more sane.

“Michael, do you understand that I have to go?”

“I do. I hope I’ll be able to let go when the time comes.”

“I know, love. Now kiss me and stand back. I’ll be back to you soon. You won’t even have time to miss me.”

He stood and kissed my lips with reverence, a slow, emotionally charged gesture of love. Tears continued to flow as I kissed him back. I closed my eyes and the air changed as he stepped away from me.

I opened my eyes and turned to Mama Pacha. “It’s time.” I took the knife and made a small cut on my right ring finger, hissing when I cut deeper than I’d meant to. I heard a gasp from someone standing behind me. Michael.
