The Story of How the Ocean Got its Currents
By Toren
One foggy day when the sun was rising on a sky blue boat in the middle of the Atlantic ocean Fred, George, and Poseidon or And were fishing on the deck of the boat they caught tons of fish because their is nothing to startle them and that is how they make a living. A few hours later their bucket was full of fish and the smell of fish was in the air.The hard part was deciding which to keep or which to threw back into the calm ocean once they had their fun they decided to name some of the fish while they made breakfast of off toast and eggs from their pet chicken that they named Larry only after he lay four eggs and they all hatched into tiny yellow fluff balls that were named Gary, Fed, Kary, and Clumsy. They loved to sprint around the hen house except Clumsy which rather watch while he carefully navigating his way to the door without knocking something over. At the door sat Fred,George, and And watching the cool animals in the water which included their personal favorite the octopus an eight legged animal with a beck for a mouth that eat clams and oysters. Poseidon was fascinated that they all liked fish but that was not why he was sent to do sadly.
He closely watched them from a distance as Fred and George were drawing a stingray in that they saw in the water. Then he walked over to them and scared the stingray away from them.
‘’What did you do that for And?” said Fred and George at the same time.
Poseidon said nothing. They were so mad that Poseidon was thrown overboard into the water with the chum bucket hoping he would become shark food. Poseidon was so mad that even his fellow gods were laughing. Then Poseidon decided they needed to be a punishment and from the deep came a sea monster that grabbed them and dragged them under to be trapped in the water until they learned their lesson but he quietly climbed back onto the boat. He showed Fred and George a bottle that looked like it had some sort of paper in it when they finally yanked it out they figured out that it was the map of the world unlike what he had planned.
He said,’’you must not tell anyone of this map or I will be very displeased.”
Little did they know they were given the best thing in the world there and then but instead decided they did not know that this map was real so they decided to go down stairs and secretly tell their parents but Poseidon was very, very disappointed Zeus was fascinated that Poseidon had actually became friends with two human boys but little did they realize the map was stolen for Mount Olympus itself nor did he know that this was a plan to spoil Zeus's fun and put him in the water forever.
The battle later to come would end all the gods including Poseidon himself. This was not just any fight but the battle of many began the long war between people later to be called arguing but this is how evil took over. One day the two boys accidently blurted that they had a map of the world which led to great disaster and the boys ran outside to see that sea monsters were popping up everywhere. Just then a sea monster grabbed the boat and gave it a vicious tug then slowly it was being pulled under they scrambled to the top of the boat the monster shook the boat viciously . George fell into the water and was pulled under as for the boat now had a hole in it luckily the sea monster left or they would have been done for but this was just the beginning a giant whirlpool sprang up out of nowhere and the boat was sucked under the water were poseidon traped them under water and where they would wandered aimlessly trying to find a way out that created currents behind them. Searching high and low for an exit. As soon as Zeus heard of this was he was furious and he rallied an army of gods and prepared for battle they fought hard but poseidon's army was too strong even for Zeus. They were too weak and the sea monsters pulled them all under including poseidon ending the gods rule of the earth.
How the Hump Formed
By Chris P. Bacon
Once upon a time, there lived a very simple man who lived a very simple life. He owned the title of a merchant, and he lived in the Sahara Desert in Ancient Egypt.
He owned a “horse” that looked very ugly, deformed, and weak that he rarely used it. He found it abandoned in the middle of the desert. One day, he decided to ride it to town to go to bargain some spices to trade.
As soon as he stepped into the gates of the city, instantly everyone shamed the poor man.
“Get a real horse,” said a wealthy nobleman.
“Get something that can at least be looked at without gagging!” expressed the sheep herder.
So many terrible comments he heard. He started to just keep moving quickly, ignoring everything that he heard.
He saw the spice merchant's stand when he was suddenly startled by the king of the city, riding on a majestic elephant.
He exclaimed to the innocent man, “If you cannot fix that...thing...then you will never come back to your home. From now until you can deal with that, you are banished from the city!”
The guards kicked him out of the city with his ugly horse and told him never to come back until he got it fixed. He knew that his horse needed to be fixed as soon as possible.
Then, with his horse, He started to venture along the vast desert. His horse walked so slow that he thought that he would never find hope.
He had been traveling for almost one day, and was about to find somewhere to settle down, when he found a small shack outside of a town. After he checked that his ugly horse has stable in place, he studied it for a moment taking in all the terrible features that it possessed. He knocked on the old clay door. A strange lady opened the door and he realized that she was a gypsy. He told her his story and the lady said that there is no possible way that his horse will ever become better.
She then told them there is another solution. She says that if he goes to town, all his problems will be solved. The man thanked the gypsy and then headed toward the town to find a place to rest for the night.
He found a small motel to spend the night in. He mounted the ugly horse on the outside of the motel.
While he was sleeping, the gods watched the horse. they were all ashamed of this creature, but the most ashamed was the god of brick and stone. He decides that nobody else should have to see this creature anymore. He makes a decision to make a brick fall from the motel’s wall. The god made a miscalculation and the brick fell out of the wall and hit the horse’s back and made a huge lump on it.
The next day, being as refreshed as newly watered grass, the man decided to head back across the desert, not finding any luck in the town.
As soon as he stepped out of the motel, he noticed this creature with a bump on its back. He looks closer at it and realizes that it is his horse! he did not know how this hump came to be, but did realize its fact of being so interesting that this creature stood out as beautiful. There was no other creature in the world like it. He thanked the gods a billion times, jumped on the hump of his horse, and then rushed back to city to be accepted back in as an honorable man.
He goes through the village gates and rushes straight to the palace. The king gratefully accepts him back in with his new interesting creature. All the people in the city now respect him and his beautiful horse. The king rewarded the man with riches.
They decided that they needed a new name for this new creature, so they decided to call it a camel. Also, the gods decided that this creature was already beautiful enough, so they had to add something disgusting to balance it out. That is why they decided to make its method of defense spitting.
All in all, the man and everyone else lived happily ever after.

Fillia and the Boys
Once upon a time in ancient Greece there lived a lovely young girl, named Fillia. Fillia turned heads everywhere she went. There wasn’t anyone who did not marvel at her beauty. She had long red hair, striking blue eyes and rosy cheeks.
On
e day when she was returning home from the library, two men happened to gaze upon her. One of the men was a scrawny, unsightly boy with small beady eyes and a nose and teeth that stuck out of his thin pale face. The other was a strong man, with bulging muscles and a handlebar mustache. Both men approached her at once, tripping over each other clumsily to get to her as fast as the could. When the beautiful Fillia saw the two men walking like ducks towards her she quickly turned the other way and started walking as fast as she could away.
The scrawny boy approached her, however, before she could slip away. “Why, hello there,” he said smirking and leaning clumsily against a pillar, “you are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.” he said with a scratchy voice that sounded like nails on a chalkboard. Fillia thanked him quickly and started walking at twice her normal speed, but by the time she reached the end of the street the second man had caught up to her.
“Did it hurt,” he said in a fake, deep masculine voice. “When you fell from heaven?” He puffed out his chest with every word. Fillia only rolled her eyes. The scrawny boy finally caught up to them.
“Who are you?” He panted.
“I am Achillios,” said Achillios, placing his hands proudly on his hips. “And who are you?”
“I,” said the scrawny boy, out of breath, “am Costa.”
Now that the young men had met each other, they only sat and glared at each other, hardly noticing that Fillia had slipped away. Noticing this, both of them began to yell at eachother, blaming one another for letting this beautiful girl out of their sight. They both did this until they were both tired and so they agreed to settle this like men. And so it was decided that they would meet in front of Filia's home the next morning and fight, well until the other one gave up.
Well, with such a decision being made, the Gods could not help but interfere. Both Ares and Athena heard this agreement and decided to show up to the fight the next day. Ares was inspired by Achillios’ size and strength while Athena respected Costa’s courage and bravery against his superior oponent.
The next day, Costa and Achillios met outside of Fillia’s home, where they called up to her to see her next husband. The Gods were watching fromthe clouds and the men cricled around each other bearing wimpyfloppy fencing swords.Costa and Achillios fought until they were to weak to even stand. The gods apalled by this went down to FIllia and asked her to make a dicision.
Fillia laughed at this whole expeirence and replied, “I choose no one!”
The Underworld
By Sam Whitcomb
Jack, a retired American soldier, has no clue what test is about to be upon him.
“Man this storm is crazy,” Jack said. As he turned up the radio.
“We are reporting a tornado warning please stay indoors,” the weather man said. I heard a crack then a huge lightning bolt zoomed across the sky and hit the Mount Olympus size hill above him.
“Wow,” Jack said. Then in the blink of an eye a boulder came crashing down. “It’s going to hit me!,” he cried out. “Bam!” a boulder smashes his door in as he tries to open, but it won't budge. He looks down, a cliff and his car starts to spin off it. Everything went dark. He woke with a sudden startle. He then turned his head to noticed that his car was hanging from vines.“Ah, I got to get out of here now,” Jack muttered. He then climbed through the back of his car put his hand on a vine that his car was hanging by. He slid down and turned on his phone and touched the Google Maps app. He looked at it for a second and realized that he was know where on the map, he dropped his phone. Took a deep breath and stood there for a second. “I need to find a way out of here,” he said. He still did not know that he was in the layer of Hades. He looked up with a sudden jerk and saw smoke in the air.
“I can go there. hey will hopefully help me,” he said. He started running and wasn’t watching where he was going, and took a wrong step into what looked like a ditch . He fell and his knee went one way, his leg went the other. “Ah,” he shrieked. He put his hand on the injured leg and the bone had broken. Jack still had to get to the fire. “Maybe they have supplies,” he said. He started to pick a figure out in the distance.“Hey” he said. The person turned around stared at him for a second, reached for a big wooden stick. Put its foot back like it was ready to charge like a bull, he ran back and ducked behind a log. He started to see its hair wave in the wind and she turned. Jack snapped a stick, she turned her feet first then the rest of her body, he tried to get under the log, but she was too quick. She raised her arms up and swung her arms down with the stick. He felt woozy for a second, and then he closed his eyes, and everything went dark. He woke with a startle, she had tied ropes around his arms and legs. “Get me out of here,” he yelled.
“Shh you're going to wake them,” she said. Jack stared for a second.
“What's your name,” Jack said with a stern voice.
“Lily,” she said rudely. “What’s yours.”
“Jack,” he said. After that she turned and started to walk out.
“Wait before you go,” he said, “Where am I.”
“The underworld,” Lily said with a stutter. Jack shut his lips and stared at the ground. Lily turned and walked out.
“This is crazy,” Jack sighed. He saw a shiny thing, that was sharp with a long blade, that was in Lilies
hand. For a second Jack thought that she was going to use it on him.
“Turn around,” Lily whispered.
“Why,” Jack whispered
“I’m gonna cut you free,”she said, “there here.” Jack dug his heels into the ground and grabbed on to the wooden pole for momentum to turn.
“Who’s here?” he snarled.
“Hades army,”Lily said. “Grab a spear,” she said in a rush. Jack grabbed a spear. He looked for a second and hopped into the ditch, that lily was already in. Lily reached down into a bin of sticks with string, she picked one and grabbed a handful of arrows. She started to jog step by step. He turned and saw thing running in the forest.
“That must be Hades army,” he whispered
“Ya,” she said. “Put these in your quiver.” As she pointed to it.
“Here’s your bow,” she said, “shoot straight.” Jack turned put his hand to his back, and grabbed an arrow, strung it, pulled it back, and let go. Direct hit. While Jack was shooting Lily was out of the ditch using her spear.
“There’s Hades,” Lily yelled. She charged, but Hades out of nowhere made a fireball, and threw it at Lily. She was thrown back to the ditch.
“We’ve got to get out of here,” Jack yelled. He strung his bow again, wiped sweat from his head, pulled back, and released. The arrow Hit Hades.
“Retreat,” Hades army said.
“Does he have transport?” he said.
“Ya,” Lily sighed. They both ran towards the flying canoe that Hades brought. They both stepped into the raggedy old wooden canoe, and started to go up to the Hollywood sign.
“I guess this is bye,” Jack said.
“Yeah,” She said
