Broken Angel: The Complete Collection: A Dark Omegaverse Romance Page 14

by Penelope Woods

“I can give us everything we’ve ever wanted,” she whispers.

She is their tree of life. All they have to do is bite her apple.

Brawny hands prop her pelvis into the air. They gorge on her until she is spread with the glaze of rich sap. Impatient, the alphas bark and nibble their teeth against the tender curves of her thighs.

The men scent her as her body trembles. Her clit is so sensitive that one swift touch could set her off.

Killian lifts his dripping jaw, baring his teeth. “Nobody tastes sweeter than you, Precious,” he moans.

  “Oh fuck,” Rae whispers.

Lurching forward, she sways, struggling to move on her own accord. The swelling flood of emotion and bodily pleasure fills her core until she begs for the final outcome.

  “Please, make me come.”

With the forceful exhumation of deep-rooted trauma, she takes hold of Killian’s husky, shaved head and forces his mouth to close on her. The other alphas kiss, bite, and tease her asshole as her muscles gave way to bursting energy.

Falling into the sea of their hands and twining limbs, Rae’s body quakes with quick eruption. The satisfaction shackles her, and the men consume.

Bathed in the core of her pleasure, she lets out a deep and raw moan, the moan of all mothers.

She does not stop, though she stutters through the convulsions. “Take me. Now.”

The men twist and thread their fingers through her hair. Coiling and pulling, they plant her knees and set her ankles at the correct angle. With the old set of chains they left behind, they lock her in place.

“I will adore you,” Vash says, kissing up her neck and down her shoulders.

“I will worship you,” Killian promises as he bites her plump ass cheek.

“I will take care of you,” Lucas says.

The alphas pry open her blossom to find her budding hole.

Lucas’ thick and bunched foreskin rolls back into a stiff display of masculine power, and Rae rolls her head back to watch as each unsheathes, every inch growing to fill her.

The heat melts over her like butter, but Lucas seems to need this. Every fold pulls him in to milk. Pearls of lubricant sway from her peaking hole. Fluids mixing, he sways into her and moans, hollow and dark.

“She feels like a mother should,” he whispers, wagging his head sharply.

Vash and Killian nudge their thick shafts into their palms. Rocking their wrists with carnal fervor, the alphas nurturing their meaty organs like obsessive pillars of sifting seed.

The pain and ache from the weight inside their sacs tears at them until they can no longer take it.

Standing behind Lucas, Killian parts her thighs more abrasively. Rae braces for the tight pull of girth, and when it comes, she let out a tense whimper.

“Fucking omega…” Killian winces with satisfaction.

She wonders if the soft spots between her thighs feel like home. As he buries herself into her overwrought cunt, she understands that they are each other’s home.

Vash watches with an eager expression as the two alphas spread her hole aside for him. He strokes until the pleasure sifts toward the edge. Then, letting go, he gathers in air, growling.

Vash fights to speak, breath hinged by the arch of his palate. Gripping against the underside of her voluptuous waist, he glides his hand against the diamond of her muff, easing her into a light purr.

He rolls the hood of her clit and massages with the bed of his wet thumb. Again, her muscles turn rigid. Her toes curl and lock in place.

“I will breed you, omega,” Vash says.

“G-g-g…” Garbled noises fell from Rae’s mouth.

  It is a suitable answer.

Mind lost in heated orgasm, she feels her sensitive flesh open and take him. Her sweat-slicked skin mixes with the viscous waterfall of fluids. Pumping toward her stomach, the three cocks struggle to hold their place, but they pin her well enough.

Her nature begs to gape and store.

This is payment. Payment for Cassian’s sins. Payment for locking her up. Payment for the world’s fallen state.

She is ready to serve a purpose. Poor Cassian will never get to touch her as a pure being ever again.

Her mind no longer directs toward the past or present. Locked in their hold, the future pulls her into blissful uncertainty. She closes her eyes and feels the gruesome tearing of their knots as they twine like searching serpents.

She spills, gushing, more perfect than any alpha could invent. The fluids slosh, an impeccable white paste.

  “More,” she cries.

Her legs clamp to the perspiring, husky bodies. The virile scent of the alphas invade and waft in her nostrils.

  “More!”

  “Take her,” Lucas says.

Hands everywhere. The rough scratch of fingernails. Lips caught against their rough and matted tufts of hair, Rae dips into consummation.

Their knots spread further into her gut like parasites. Their extending fang-like prongs bear into her ovaries.

  “Yes,” Rae cries.

An image flashes in her mind. Her belly houses three. She is chained to a bed, sweat pouring down her cheeks. Helpless. Afraid.

After this, she will depend on them.

The realization tears into her heart, but the alphas thrust in deeper.

  “Feel her, yes,” Lucas grunts.

One by one, the alphas expel their thick seed.

Pain wrecks the tangled mass of hair and flesh. She can’t make it stop. It’s too late.

Unrelenting, their fluid courses inside her. Her walls seem to collapse, leaking the sappy blend down her thighs.

This is her true nature. Open and inviting. Patient and starved for security. Numb…

She thought she was strong. But how can she be sure?

The men dig their teeth into her back, sinking their jaws against her flesh. Leaving the brand of their imprint, they hatch their jaws back and huff.

Like scorned apes, they pump, dispelling the last of their cum.

  “Take it gently.”

  “Precious.”

  “Incubate her.”

  And then it’s all over.

The men remove the chains from around her limbs. Rocking her hips back, they hold her thighs in the air, cupping her pussy closed.

  “None wasted,” Killian says.

The throb of pain from their knots still aches inside her. She starts to weep.

“Precious, why are you crying?” Vash asks.

“Because now I am pregnant,” she says, mouth full of tears and excess mucus. “I fear the worst.”

“We will take care of you,” he says. “Come. We will make you a nest in the other room.”

Eyeing the revolver she’d used just days ago in the barracks, she lets her dreams of being independent drift away. She’d gotten a taste, and maybe, that was all she’ll ever get.

Sinking her head back, Rae swallows before nodding. “I will be a good mother,” she says. “I promise.”

  Chapter Fourteen

“Precious, what the fuck are you doing out here?” Killian asks.

It has been 133 days of pregnancy, 133 days of rest, 133 days of creating something bigger than herself.

A warm hand caresses her shoulder before she can realize where she is standing. Blinking her eyes, she sees the fall color leaves across the earth floor.

In the distance, the haze of the city glows. She has been sleepwalking again.

“I’m sorry,” she says, too stunned to say anything else.

The alphas stare at each other before nodding. As Killian kneels in front of her, he removes a strand of hair from her eyes. “We aren’t angry, but we need you to be careful,” he says.

He holds a pair of cuffs.

Rae nods her head and bites the inside of her cheek. “I understand. I’m a liability.”

“It’s not your fault,” he says. “But we can’t take any chances.”

The alphas cuff her, leading her back to that dreadfu
l house. Once inside her room, the men retrieve plates of food, cups of liquids, and fruit. Then, they cuff her a second time to a chain lock.

She isn’t their prisoner, but they can’t have her walking into the city. It is, as they have told her many times, for her own good.

  “Eat,” Killian says.

Setting the plates in front of her bedding, the men sit and watch intently. Rae’s stomach shifts. She hasn’t been vomiting, but she hasn’t gotten used to the strict regimen of eating for four.

“I’m not hungry,” she says, flexing her tongue.

Lucas fists a piece of egg and presents it to her lips. “Eat.”

Reluctantly, Rae parts her mouth to let the egg prop against her front teeth. She bites down and chews, grimacing the entire time.

  “Disgusting,” she whispers.

“She’s still not herself,” Vash groans.

Rae’s eyes flash with wrath. “I know who I am,” she yells, reaching for him. Luck for him, her chains stop her from getting any closer. She falls, deeply exhausted.

  “Just be good,” Killian says.

“I want out of these chains,” Rae whines. “I want to go on a walk.”

The clicking from the clock on the wall’s hands sends shivers down Rae’s spine. “It’s not time for your walk,” Vash says.

Rae would cry, had she any tears left. Pregnancy has been a nightmare.

Unable to make any decisions, she feels lost again. Yes, once she gives birth to her children, she can be free. But they have to stay hidden from Cassian for her nesting period. That is the only rule they give her.

Nothing is safe or sacred. The revelations Rae experiences are constantly undermined by her alphas’ logic. Though they tend to her with love and care, she cannot even go to the bathroom without them collecting a sample.

“I won’t leave the house,” she whispers. “I’ll stay in the room. Just let me be free.”

The men give a look to each other. “You won’t run?” Vash asks.

Rae twists her head and exhales. “I promise.”

To her surprise, they remove her bindings, though they each look skeptical.

  “We’ll see,” Vash says.

When they leave her, they do not forget to lock the heavy door behind them.

Glancing at the plates of unappetizing food, she feels her salivary glands swell against her tongue. Her stomach soon follows.

Chunks of thick liquid and mucus spring out of her like a fire hydrant. She thought the sickness was over, but it comes and goes in waves.

She is weak, and her body weighs as much as a truck. Swollen and alert, she closes her eyes and places her palms across her rounded belly.

She is going to be a mother. A good mother. She could fail at everything else, but she will not fail at that.

But as Rae lies tucked into her bedding, she can’t imagine bringing three innocent children into a world as heinous as hers. Even if Cassian and his slave traders are killed, she’ll never see a less painful landscape.

Days pass, and Rae calendars the time as best she can. When she sees a new sun, she scratches the angle of her nail into her belly. Swiveling for minutes, she waits until the flesh breaks. She is left with a calendar of scars across her stomach.

She is getting closer. Only a few more weeks left until the big day.

She is in a state of flux. The molecules in her body bend for the others inside her womb. Alpha to alpha. Cell to cell. She will not let herself whine about her incessant emotions and triggers that seem to come out of nowhere.

She will hold on for the ride.

Not much later, the alphas ease the door open. They gather the plates and place a small tub next to her bedding. “Your bath,” Vash says.

  “Thank you,” Rae whispers.

Killian runs a hose into the plastic container, releasing the water valve. Vash lathers a sponge.

“We need to discuss something,” Lucas says, eyeing them.

Rae watches the flowing, steamy water. It calms her nerves.

“What would that be?” she asks.

Vash stops soaping the sponge. Something is up.

  “Vash?” she asks, throat parched.

He lowers his eyes. “I’m leaving the pack. For now,” he says. “It’s only temporary.”

Rae’s heart jumps with a tremor. Sharp distress holds down her body. “Help me up, so I can slap you,” Rae exclaims.

“He needs to go,” Lucas interrupts. “The two of us will guard the nest, but Vash is the only one who can find Cassian.”

Fear wrecks her body. Her shoulders throb, and her neck bends forward.

“He kept me alive for a reason,” Vash says. “I need to know why.”

“It’s a trick,” Rae says. “Don’t give into his traps.”

Vash lowers his forehead and remembers the moment he first left his brother. Cassian told him he would keep Vash’s misery visible.

At the time, Vash didn’t know what to make of his words. Now, he thinks he understands what he wants from him.

“If he wanted me dead, he would have killed me before I left him. He would have cut my heart out and kept it on display,” Vash says.

Rae jerks forward, crying out, “You can’t leave me alone like this.”

Vash focuses on the fractured tiled floor. Nothing is going to stop him. He is going back to those barracks despite the omega’s tears.

  He has to do this.

“Lucas and Killian will take care of you,” Vash explains.

Rae’s pupils shrink into thin and infinite pricks. “I have done everything for you,” she snarls.

A twinkle runs across the white of his eye. “What is it you really want?” Vash asks.

Rae opens her mouth, but the words catch on the edge of her vocal cords. Does she want freedom? No.

  She wants power.

“I want to take over Cassian’s operations,” she admits.

The words fall from her mouth unexpectedly, but she realizes their truth.

“You have done so much, Precious,” Killian says. “There is a limit to what someone can accomplish.”

Rae envisions the inside of the Omega Unlimited nightclub. “I think I’d like to walk into his establishment and tear out the throats of all the alphas,” she says.

Vash removes the chains from her sore wrists. He notes to loosen the hold for her after the bath. “You will not go into his establishments.”

Rae steps inside the warm water. Eyes closed, she sinks and reappears in her happy place, her father’s garden.

That man was not her father. Just another false memory.

She blows out against the steam rising from the surface of the water.

“You worry too much about the pregnancy. It will go as planned. You will have three daring alphas to carry your legacy,” Vash says.

She feels them. The babies. They are kicking inside her.

“I have no doubt you could kill every alpha in that building,” he says.

“Then why won’t you let me go? I can feel it. I’m connected to that place somehow,” she says.

The men roll the sponges over her naked body, and clean. They remain silent.

“Tell me the truth,” she says. “I want to know what’s inside.”

Vash clears his throat. “You know the truth. The women inside that place are your copies. Does knowing make you feel any better?”

Rae sinks deeper into the water. “I don’t know.”

“You’ve never seen your duplicates before,” Killian says. “Not sure it would be easy to handle.”

  “I handled you,” she argues.

Yes, she knows Cassian made other clones. That’s why she wants to see them.

  She could build an army.

“If you want to change the system, you’ll have to kill them,” Lucas says.

Rae winces at the thought. “Kill them?”

Vash nods and drops the sponge. “The omegas in the clubs, in the test facilities, in the barracks… If you want things t
o change, you have to be willing to annihilate what’s wrong with the present.”

She hadn’t thought about that. “Do they feel?”

  “Do you?” he asks.

Rae’s heart pounds. “More than you.”

Vash repeats the matter at hand. “I have to go, Rae.”

Rae nods, but doesn’t want to fall into the trap of hoping that he’ll stay. “Fine. Go.”

“I was going to leave tomorrow,” he says.

Rae stands, water collecting over her belly. “If you’re going to leave, you might as well do it now.”

Nodding, he leans over her glistening body. Scenting her one last time, he cups his lips around the crook of her neck.

“Goodbye, Precious,” he says. “I love you. All three of us do.”

Worst of all, Rae loves him too.

  Chapter Fifteen

Cassian steps over the mash of cracked bone and oozing tendrils of mind matter. He breathes, infuriated.

Things are going to plan, but his brother is moving too fast. One wrong move, and he’ll lose everything.

A soldier nearby looks down at his partner’s lifeless body and swallows feverishly. “I don’t know anything,” he says.

“Do not lie to me,” Cassian growls.

The soldier sucks in his cheek and shivers. “They’ve been spotted outside of Dagon in the Minx Province,” the man says.

Shivering with abjuration, Cassian can’t believe what he is hearing. “What are they doing over there?”

“They’re nesting the omega,” the soldier says.

Cassian can’t hear any more of this trash. Unsheathing his blade, he drives it into the idiot’s youthful heart, chest blossoming into a blackened mess of red, a bitter lake for the man to choke on.
