Disorderly Page 26

A makeup brush hits my face, and I saunter back away from it.

“Hold still, girl. That bruise needs to be covered up.” Fuck the bruise. I’d rather keep it to stay away from the group of wild hyenas outside.

The two girls in front of me are pushed onto the stage, literally, and the horde of men goes wild. Cheering and whistles fill the air while a man on a microphone starts talking about them. Describing their weight, breast size, where they came from. He starts the bidding at $10,000, and to my surprise, the bunch goes wild. I couldn’t see the commotion yet; the makeup brush is in my face, but the noise is enough.

When I’m done being powdered, my body is shoved onto the stage. Bright lights blind my vision, and I stumble on my own feet. Catching myself, I stand straight, and my heart skids on its brakes. At the edge of the stage are men gawking at me, some with lust and curiosity in their eyes. My stomach drops in response, and I start to feel something—hatred.

  Hatred for Wyatt.

I’m at a loss for what to do as I stand still hearing a male voice utter out numbers. Deep, urgent voices ring through my ears. I’m going to be sold and made a sex slave for the rest of my life. I wouldn’t know the first thing on how to get out, with no money or anyone that would now be looking for me. I’m beyond the phrase fucked.

“$200,000 going once.” My heart halts in place. “Going twice.” I inhale a deep breath.

“$500 grand,” exclaims a male voice.

  “Sold!”
