And I’m insane, too, I thought, biting my lip at the thought that had sunk in and stuck, worming its way into my addled mind.
“So, hey, fellas. New plan?” My hands clapped together and I smiled slyly when Zhuii and Noyel’s heads jerked up.
“New plan?” there was a note of reservation in my Zhu-man’s voice.
More than likely it had to do with the root vegetable carving incident that one time when we were snowed in at his place. But he’d shown me the picture in the book, and he had wanted to try it… on me. But what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
Zhuii shifted in his seat, his hands going protectively towards his bum.
“Oh, nothing like that,” I assured him, “nothing is going up our asses.”
“What?!” Now I had my healer’s attention, who gaped as his gaze swung from the Zhu monster to me.
“Nothing. Nothing. Boredom, a naughty book, too much free time. It’s a long story, and not nearly as fun as it sounds,” I muttered, waving his reaction and the whole thing away.
“Noyel has time,” the beast muttered, his curious look making me giggle.
“Zhuii not have time. Zhuii not think butt vegetables fun.” The beast shuddered at the memory.
“Hey,” I held my hands up and out, “if I recall, it wasn’t exactly my idea.”
“Not what Zhuii was thinking… Zhuii not want to wear a- a-”
“Veg carved like a butt plug?” I stated bluntly, savoring Noyel’s maidenly gasp. His laughter, following, had me snorting along with him.
Oh, I’d known what Zhuii’d been thinking, and it wasn’t happening then, if possibly ever. Going to go with never ever. With how fat that male’s cock was…? Erm, hard pass.
Tokre came storming in then, cocked, locked, and totally loaded. His snarl as he slammed the door shut behind him had my smile widening.
Yeah, I’d gotten way too used to being with these guys over the last few weeks, feeling more in my element right now than ever before.
“Good, we’re all here.” Walking over to Tokre, I confused the shit out of him by signing a Hello and I missed you, and you fill my heart—which to him was the same as I love you—several of a handful of signs I’d managed to slowly pick up with Zhuii’s patient teaching—taking Tokre’s hand, I dragged him towards the table. I wasn’t the greatest at signing and remembering, but I tried really hard.
“So… I thought, since we’re all feeling a little frustrated, I’d like to try something.”
“No.” Zhuii shook his head at the look in my eyes. “Zhuii know,” the big beast shook a finger at me and stood. “Zhuii no want do… do this thing, whatever thing my Lindy-mine think.”
“Are you sure?” I pouted slightly. “I haven’t even told you what it is yet.”
“No.” He was dead set. “Zhuii go while food cook,” he waved towards the meat roasting over a spit set in the fireplace, “work on Zhuii den, but be back. Zhuii want no thing. No thing for Zhuii. Tokre and Noyel play Lindy-mine’s game.” He was out the door, ignoring my tinkling laughter, before I could call him back.
When I turned back to the males left present, I crooked a finger, beckoning Noyel to move closer.
Noyel glanced to the door, then Tokre, sparing the dark-eyed male’s monster erection a brief frown, before glancing to me.
His own cock was still at half-mast, jerking when I stared at it at a tad too long.
“My idea.” Standing on tiptoe, I waited for Noyel and then Tokre to lean in for a kiss each.
Twin purrs rumbled as I took each by the hand and led them to the bed.
CHAPTER 22
Iheard a sound, but it didn’t register that it was the door opening or closing, not with Noyel’s enthusiastic groans and Tokre’s growls drowning out everything else. Our happy, very happy, trio was a little preoccupied.
“Rosie,” Noyel cried out as I worked Noyel Jr. with my mouth. I was bent over the bed, his pelvis in my face, his long, bendy frame bowed, leaning over my right shoulder. Thick thighs shifting, his cock jerked, once, twice, twitching as I sucked and licked more than a mouthful. He came a moment later, spilling his seed down the back of my throat.
Tokre groaned, hunched over my back, his hands on my breasts, tweaking, pinching, tugging, his mouth at my nape on my left side, biting down but not hard enough to break the skin. Noyel’s hand, two of his thick fingers wrapped around Tokre’s cock for him, my blue-eyed mate’s tall frame flexible and long enough to reach around and lend my snarling first husband a hand when I explained exactly why I wanted both of my hands free. One hand kneaded Noyel’s testicles, the other pumping the healer’s cock along with my mouth on him as I sucked him dry.
Zhuii stepped inside, his arrival barely noticed, walking up to our little threesome to stand there, his hands on his hips, until someone, anyone, acknowledged him.
“This not what Zhuii think him Lindy-mine be thinking.”
Noyel pulled away from my mouth with a groan. He stumbled, shuffling a few steps to collapse beside us, kneeling next to me. Muttering my name on a sigh, his head rested on my sweaty shoulder. Tokre didn’t protest, oblivious to all else but our current engagement.
“Sensitive,” Noyel panted out. “Too sensitive.” His free hand cupped over his manhood protectively as my hands fell away. “Can’t handle anymore right now.”
“Sorry,” I mumbled, then cried out, my eyes about rolling back into my head as Tokre grunted, swiveling his hips, and pressed against that sweet little spot he liked to rub so damned much. “Okay. Okay. Don’t let go of him, though,” I pleaded.
My hands crumpled the bedding, my fingers alternating between curling into it and clawing at it. My hips bucked, Tokre’s bucking back in response. My mouth opened in a silent shout.
Tokre snarled his pleasure into my shoulder. Hunching in even closer, his hips jerked and he ground against the obstruction Noyel’s hand made.
Noyel grimaced but then sighed, muttering next to us, a joking tease in his voice, “If anyone else asks, this never happened.” The beastie didn’t give one iota about helping Tokre. He simply couldn’t resist teasing at every turn.
I laughed, even as I came, clamping down around Tokre’s massive cock to shoot over with him.
“Remind me to tell you how much I appreciate it later,” I panted out, brushing my sweat soaked hair out of my face to toss him a wink.
Noyel’s hand left his own cock and he pointed a finger at me. “I’m going to hold you to that.”
“Mnnn.” Tokre’s hand came up and he clapped it over my eyes. A snarl rent the air, Tokre’s, and Noyel and I laughed.
“We know… We know,” Noyel muttered. “Yeah, yeah. Me, me, mine, mine. Tokre, Tokre. Grr. Grrr. Rosie’s yours. Snarl, snarl. Well, guess what, she’s ours, too.”
I felt Noyel’s hand give Tokre’s dick a not so subtle squeeze and Tokre’s hand fell away. As Tokre slowly withdrew from my body, Noyel’s hand fell away.
“That’s right,” Noyel rolled to his feet with a huff, “just remember who’s willing to give a beastie a hand, huh.” He gestured between the three of us, then signed at Tokre. “Not everyone is willing to hold a male’s penis, alright, purely to help him and his, our, female out.”
Zhuii grunted his agreement, finally drawing notice.
“My Lindy-mine have fun?” My big Zhubeast’s deep orange eyes glowed with amusement, dancing when I turned at the sound of his voice. Rolling over, I flopped back on the bed, spreading out like a contented, well fed kitty cat. “Tons,” I purred, grinning.
Zhuii’s lips pulled up into a wide smile. “Good.” He held up a huge chunk of roasted meat. “Now we eat. Who hungry?”
CHAPTER 23
“Alright, I give up, where are you taking me?”
Noyel’s smile was small and secretive, fleeting. Our hands swung back and forth as we walked side by side. It was nice, cold but still comfortable. Tokre and Zhuii’s mating pelts kept me toasty warm, but I kept eyeing the bag over Noyel’
s shoulder.
He’d disappeared briefly after dinner, to come back with a pep in his step, requesting my presence for the rest of the evening.
Tokre and Zhuii, engaged in some strange game with shiny gems, like marbles, chess, and Chinese checkers had a baby, put up a minimal fuss, mostly to tease Noyel on Zhuii’s part, and that bit of possessiveness that would probably always linger in my first mate, on Tokre’s part. I secretly loved Tokre’s grumpiness about sharing, though share indeed he did, and rather well for such a grumbly beastie.
Well, he was working on it, I thought with a grin, thinking about his butting in on me and Noyel earlier. “Speaking of…”
“Later,” Noyel whispered, watching the myriad of emotions rushing across my face tellingly. His arm wrapped around my waist and he pulled me in close.
“I know you really want to know where we’re going, but I want it to be a surprise.”
Glancing around, there were huts off some ways in the distance, thick smokestacks still visible, stars twinkling overhead in the dark, night sky.
“Okay, but soon?”
He chuckled at my childlike excitement. I was giddy with it, bouncing around, uncaring who saw.
I was… dare I say it? Happy.
“Almost there,” he promised. “You’ll see.”
“Is this better than when Zhuii admitted you’ve been teaching him how to read using my romance books.” Then, because I could, I added, “From my ginormous library.”
“Nooo,” he teased right back good-naturedly, “but I think, well, I’m hoping, you’ll understand, and you’ll like it.”
That gave me pause, my smile faltering slightly, but I kept going.
Noyel stopped as we came to a strange rock formation. It looked familiar, but I couldn’t figure out from where. Zhuii and Tokre had yet to take me to any rock form- “Oh.” My breath caught. My hand slipped to my lips as my eyes widened. “Oh… Noyel,” I mumbled. Eyes widening, I took a few giant steps back.
“Do you know where we are?” Noyel asked uncertainly.
I nodded once, but I still couldn’t believe it. The rock formation, the portal… Wow, the portal. It was just up ahead. I remembered it all.
“Noyel…” I stared at him, bewildered. “I don’t… I don’t… Why?”
Noyel’s smile was slight, unsure—nervous, even. “Mama says when you really love somebody, really love them, you’d do anything for them, anything, so long as it made them happy.” Glancing over his shoulder, he grimaced, trying for a smile. “I want you to be happy, Rosalinda…”
I blinked at the use of my full name. I couldn’t help but keep glancing between him and the portal.
He was giving me a choice: them, or go back. He wanted, needed me to choose, to be completely sure.
I’d assume this was some kind of test, but I knew it wasn’t. My mates needed me to pick them, to want them and feel that want, to know I needed them as badly as they’ve made obvious they want, need, to spend the rest of their lives with me.
“You want me to choose.” I stepped up to Noyel, until I had to tip my chin to stare up, up, into a nervous set of wide blue peepers.
Noyel swallowed, unsure, at a loss for words for once, and gave a curt nod. “Yes. Mama says sometimes, when you love someone, you have to let them go.”’
My lips quirked in a half-smile. “Your mama says a lot.”
He gave me a half-smile in return, murmuring on a chuckle, “That she does.”
“She’s right, though.”
“She is?” My blue-eyed jolly fur was starting to sweat this whole thing, fidgeting, swallowing convulsively. He looked like he wanted nothing more than to throw me over his shoulder and take off, forget he’d ever brought me here in the first place.
“Yup.” I made the word pop. “Wanna know why?”
“I-I-I- I’m afraid to ask.” His voice was tremulous. He kept licking his lips. My third mate—though he was technically no lower in the lineup than the others in my eyes—was scared.
“You,” gripping his furry pelt, I tugged him down to me, “have given me the best gift, better than anything anyone else could ever offer.”
“I- Wait, I did?” Noyel blinked. “Oh, uhm, yes, of course.” His gaze whipped behind him and then back to me. He was still afraid I’d choose going home over him.
“Not a chance,” I murmured, tugging on his fur harder until he was close enough his lips were right there, mere centimeters separating us. “I’ve already made my choice, and I choose- chose you all.”
Noyel blinked rapidly, clearing his throat. His lips tried to form a smile, but it was like he just couldn’t believe it. “You mean it?”
“Haven’t you figured it out, Not-Neal?” I teased. My lips pressed to his in a scorching smooch that had his purr rumbling to life. “You’re mine. You, Tokre, Zhuii, you’re all mine, and no one, none of us, are going anywhere.”
Noyel let out a whoop, scooping me up to spin me around. “Good!” he cheered, “because if you were going to leave, I was going to go with you.”
“What?! Are you nuts?!”
“Must be,” he crowed, setting me on my feet to slap at the pack resting on his hip. “Now come on.” Making a happy noise in his throat, he scooped my hand up, entwining his fingers with mine. “Come see Noyel’s place and, oh!” Swinging his pack around, he pulled his mating pelt from the bag. Shaking it out, he held the dark blue and purple swirling pelt out to me. “For Noyel’s Rosie.”
“It’s beautiful.” My fingers brushed over it. Bits of gold and shades of white sprinkled throughout made the silky soft pelt look like an animal once walked around wearing the midnight sky.
Grinning, I turned, glancing at him from over my shoulder. “Could you- Would you put it on me?”
Circling me once, he walked up to me, bringing the silky soft material around my back, draping it over my shoulders. Clasping the ends together at my neck, he bent down, leaning in, and placed a smacking kiss to my lips. “Thought you’d never ask.”
“Took you long enough,” I quipped. My hands encircled his neck, pulling him back to me to kiss him back thoroughly when he would have pulled away.
Noyel sighed, utterly contented. Standing, he brought me with him, my feet dangling as he gripped my hips and lifted me up off the ground.
“Love you,” he murmured against my lips. “I know humans can find it strange, to fall so fast, but what I feel-” Noyel paused, burying his face in my nape, suddenly overwhelmed. “The things I feel for you,” he murmured into my skin, his arms wrapping around me tight, cuddling me closer.
My fingers ran up the back of his neck, sifting through his hair, to the top of his scalp, were I brushed my fingers down the fluffy down soothingly. “I know,” I whispered, grinning when he pulled back to blink down at me.
“You know?” he blurted, aghast. “You know?” His mouth flopped open, gums flapping. Nothing came out. I’d stunned my sarcastic other half stupid.
Continuing to pet his head, stroking through the silky strands, I nodded, doing my damndest to keep a straight face. “Yes. You said you love me. And I said, I know.”
“Yes!” Plucking me off of him to plunk me down, his hands slapped to his hips and he glowered down at me. “Female.”
“Yes, darling?” Smiling up at him, trying for an innocent expression, I blinked slowly.
Noyel scowled, grunting, glancing at me to look away, then glance at me again. With a huffing chuff, he stepped back to pace in front of me.
Me thinks someone be troubled, I thought with an inward smirk.
My fingers gingerly curled around my new mating pelt and I watched, counting the trips back and forth, as my blue-eyed healer made muddy tracks in the snow.
“Just told you I love you,” he muttered. “You chose me, us. Give you my pelt… You like it. No, love it.” He kept stealing peeks at me, a puzzle he just couldn’t figure out. That made two of us. If he ever found the key to, well, me, he’d have to fill me in.
Sashaying
right up to my mate, letting my hips do the talking, pretending I didn’t trip twice on the way over, I smiled when he paused in his pacing to stare at me. Hooking my arm through his, I started back towards the village.
“I’m going to tell you a little story, about a man from a galaxy far, far away. He has a friend, a furry dude like you, but that’s not the part I want to talk about.”
“Does this have to do with your response?” he guessed.
“Are you going to take me to your bachelor digs so I can show you my answer?”
Noyel’s purr rumbled to life and he grinned. His right hand clasped over mine. “You were saying something about a man and his furry friend?”
“Yes, but that’s not the good part.”
“No?”
“No.” Reaching over, I gave his thick arm a gentle pat. “The good parts have to do with a princess on a mission, love in the stars. We’ll skim over the part about- ah, the… well, the brother thing, but-”
“What?” Noyel paused to stare down at me.
“Long story, but it doesn’t detract from anything.”
Noyel made a disgruntled noise. “We get to my place, we kiss, you tell me you love me.” He stilled to shoot a pointed glower my way. “Then you can tell your story, while I undress you.”
“Sounds like a list,” I murmured coyly.
“My mate, couldn’t even begin to count the ways, the things I wish to do to you.” Then he added for good measure, covering all his bases, “Just not the thing with the vegetables Zhuii kept mumbling about.”
Losing it, I burst out into a crazed fit of witch cackles. I was laughing so hard Noyel gave up on me, scooping me up to carry me the rest of the way.
“You sure? He’s a bit of a drama beast. It’s wasn’t that bad. And it was his idea in the first place to begin with!”
