He smirked at me, looking at me a little questioningly. “I’m thirty-two,” he said.
I knew he was telling the truth, because of his aforementioned terrible job at lying. I looked into his glowing eyes and laughed, feeling slightly embarrassed.
“What?” he asked, chuckling a little. “Too old?”
He obviously knew that I was just finishing up high school. But it wasn’t really that. I shook my head. “It’s just that I thought you might be more like three hundred and two years old.”
Now it was Garen’s turn to throw his head back and guffaw at me. He shook his head, smiling his perfect and perfectly menacing smile. “I’m a dragon, not a vampire,” he said in a voice which indicated that he was far amused than he was offended.
I shrugged my shoulders, leaning my chin against my hand as I stood near the breakfast counter. “It’s not like you come with any kind of manual.”
“You don’t either,” he cooed back at me.
The pizza arrived soon after our little age discussion. I honestly felt much better now that I knew he wasn’t some super ancient being. Thirty-two was quite a bit older than eighteen, but I was of legal age, and he hadn’t done anything against my wishes… Well, not exactly. Really it had been his goons, Brock and Ash, who’d done things I didn’t want, without explaining why until way after. But I chalked that up to them just doing their jobs.
Garen brought the huge pizza boxes into the living room and placed them onto the large, stone coffee table. He surprised me by sitting on the floor beside it instead of on the leather couch that seemed much more comfortable. Not wanting to seem rude, I sat on the floor next to him. He opened the pizza boxes and we dug in, cuddling together as the pizza filled our bellies and the fireplace warmed our skin.
Before long, we’d closed the pizza boxes and we were making out there on the rug by the fire. His large hands roamed around my arms and over my shoulders to my back, where he kneaded me as his tongue cautiously explored the inside of my mouth. He massaged muscle aches that I didn’t even know I had, and I wondered if this afternoon, he was planning to give me more where those came from.
“Do you want to,” he asked me breathlessly between lingering kisses, “go back to bed with me?”
I nodded my head eagerly, knowing with absolute certainty that this time was going to be much better than the last… and that time had turned out quite well in the end, too. I wanted this. I wanted him!
Garen took me by the hand and helped me up from the floor. Then he did me one further and lifted me into his arms, carrying me off with him like a groom on his wedding night. He obviously couldn’t wait for our second bedding. There wasn’t any doubt in my mind that this time he wasn’t only in it for the dragon upgrades either. He wanted me for me. He loves me for me.
He ascended the stairs quite quickly, which was impressive, considering he was carrying me. His feet almost seemed to have wings on them. Maybe a piece of the dragon remained within him even when he was in his human form, ready to assist whenever called upon. I held my arms loosely around his neck, recalling the last time I’d held him in this way. When he was a big, threatening dragon. As much as I appreciated him rescuing me, I did prefer him when he was being seductive with me.
Continuing to seemingly float, Garen brought me down the hallway and into our master bedroom. He brought me right to the obsidian bed, threw back its curtain and gently laid me down on the matching blankets beneath. Right away, he was on top of me, kissing me deeply and letting his fingertips delicately stroke and tap at my clitoris and lower lips.
I reached down and deftly unfastened my jeans, wriggling out of them and letting them fall to the floor. Soon enough, my panties joined them thanks to Garen. He lowered his head down to the crevice between my legs and he put his tongue to good use again. I bit my lip and moaned his name.
He literally ate it up. His dress pants did nothing to hide his erection. I reached to his waist and undid his black leather belt, tossing it aside and beginning my fumbling assault on his zipper.
Coming up for some air and satisfied by my wetness, Garen helped me free him from his suit pants and then his tight, black boxer briefs. He pulled his dress shirt and jacket off so fast that I wondered if he might have lost a few buttons, but he didn’t care about it, so neither did I.
I pulled the green peasant top off me and then he leaned in and kissed both of my breasts, reaching around at once to free them from their purple silk encasement. The new bras that I had been given were nice even if it felt strange to accept bras from Ash. He’s my servant, I reminded myself. He’s going to do my bidding. Mmm, and so is this one if I have my way.
Now that Garen had me naked exactly like he wanted, he pinned me down to the bed by holding tightly onto my wrists over my head. He brought himself down against me and pushed his big, erect cock inside me. Ohh, how I loved the dragon that he kept in his pants. This dragon had two heads and they both pleased me quite nicely.
I wrapped my legs around his waist and grabbed hold of his ass with one of my hands, willing him to go deep inside of me, as deep as he could. “Mmmph, I love the way you feel, big guy,” I murmured, licking my lips as he slowly began to thrust in and out of me.
He grunted softly, looking into my eyes with equal parts lust and adoration. Garen moved within me as if he wanted me to feel every inch of him and enjoy it. He held me down and fucked me hard, but he was careful not to hurt me. After a great ten minutes of him being on top of me, thrusting into me with ever-growing intensity, Garen pulled out and lightly slapped my stomach.
“Roll over,” he said in a gruff, husky voice. “I want to get you from behind.”
I knew to do as he told me, so I quickly rolled onto my stomach and then got onto my knees, digging my fingernails into the soft pillow beneath my chest. He inserted his long, hard rod into my pussy with new found intensity, not even pausing to start up slowly again.
“Oh!” I shouted, my eyes and mouth widening as I felt myself come hard against his shaft. I’d never known before how much I liked a man who was bossy and powerful, but it really did turn me on. He had this cocky confidence about him that was never mean, but I could still feel it. There was a fire inside him, and I was getting a taste of it right then.
“Yeah, come for me, you little slut,” he practically purred at me, taking me by the throat and feeling my pulse there as I gasped and spluttered. Somehow, the dirty language turned me on more. He raised me up so I was sitting against him, bouncing on his cock. “Do you like having a dragon inside of you?” he asked me.
I nodded rapidly. “Yes! Yes!” I was going to affirm anything he said or did to me. In this moment, I was there to do whatever he wanted and love every minute of it.
In a flash, he turned me around and lied back so I was straddling him, bouncing up and down on his member. He smiled up at me, licking his lips, his eyes occasionally glazing over a little as he felt the new sensations from this change in position. I reached back slightly and stroked his balls, feeling an instant reaction from his cock.
“Oh GOD, Tatyana!” he yelled out, reaching up and stroking my boobs and belly as he came thunderously inside of me. Garen closed his eyes tightly and puffs of smoke came out of his nostrils.
He was literally smoking hot. He was the sexiest goddamn thing I’d ever seen.
When he opened his eyes to look up at me again, I was grinning down at him. “Did you like that?” I asked him. “Did I pass your test?”
He reached up and pulled me down into a hug against his chest. I carefully pulled myself off his penis so we could cuddle more comfortably. He petted my long, black hair as our cheeks nuzzled against each other.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do tomorrow,” I said to him softly. “When you go away again to who knows where.”
Garen hummed a little bit. I could feel his chest vibrate against mine. “I’ll try to come back early like I did today, but you know that I can make no promises.”
I looked him in the e
yes. “I can promise you something, though,” I told him sincerely. “I promise you that I am going to stay right here with you and do my best to fulfill whatever is asked of me in this role. I may not always understand it or find it easy to believe, but I really am trying. You and your dragons have put a lot of faith in me and I swear that it hasn’t been misplaced. I will take my place entirely and do whatever you command me to do. I hope that I won’t let you down.”
Garen smiled as he looked back at me. “I have no doubt that you are the one that the prophecy foretold. I know that it’s been quite an adjustment for you, but you’ve done such a great job so far. You saw the way I last transformed. That’s all because of you and our destiny together. You’ve only just been told about all of this and you’re already a natural.”
I smiled at him, blushing. “I don’t think I’ve ever been called a natural for anything I’ve tried to do. I’ve never been remarkable.”
He kissed me softly and hugged me close again. “You’re remarkable to me. And to all the rest of us. I promise you that, no matter what, I will protect you and give you the happiest life imaginable. You are my queen and all who serve me know that now. Also, please know, the prophecy brought us together, but it is love and mutual respect that keeps us together.”
This sounded like a proposal to me, and I was going to take it that way. Being his queen was better than being some regular old wife anyway. I was young and still had a lot to learn about the ways of the dragons and the looming threat that was awaiting us, but for now I was content simply to be with him and know that I didn’t have to go through any of this alone.
The future was certainly thrilling even if it was scary and stressful. I’d had to let go of my goals for going to college, but becoming the Chosen One of a dragon faction was going to put enough on my plate as it was.
In the morning, I knew that Garen would be gone from my room once more, but now I knew to keep the balcony door unlocked so that he could return to me as soon as possible. My protector would always look out for me. And that was what held me together during these trying times.
Abducted by the Dragons - Book 2
I never knew before how boring living in a mansion could be.
I’m stuck inside all day every day, and I can barely even focus on my schoolwork, because the dragon factions have splintered even more. I don’t just have to worry about those who want me dead.
I also need to worry about the ones who want to sleep with me. They say I’ll give them powers.
Garen swears that he will take me away someplace where I’ll be safe and free to go out when I want, but enemies seem to be waiting everywhere we go.
I didn’t know what my life would be like as the dragons’ Chosen One, but I’m learning that it’s certainly not all that it’s cracked up to be.
If I don’t leave Garen’s mansion, I just might go insane.
Chapter 1: Jealousy
Now that I’d agreed to this crazy life as The Chosen One, I knew that my life wasn’t going to be normal again. Hell, it wasn’t even going to make a lot of sense most of the time. But the good thing was that I had Garen with me, protecting me and treating me like a princess, so I knew that this new life wasn’t going to be all bad. Living in the castle-like mansion was downright cushy, and now that I had my phone back and unlimited access to the internet, I could breathe much easier.
I allowed myself to relax and enjoy things for a while after committing to all of this, but after about a week of lounging around the house, I decided that it was go time. Time to get back to my studies and my pursuit of a degree. Garen didn’t want me to continue going to school. ‘What’s the point?’ he’d basically said. It’s hard to be a journalist when you have to be in constant hiding. But I refused to give up on all of my dreams if I didn’t one hundred percent have to. It was going to be a challenge, but that didn’t mean I had to throw it all away.
“Have a good day at work,” I said to Garen in the morning, kissing his mouth as his lips smiled against mine.
“Stay out of trouble,” he said back to me, in his gravely growl of a voice. After fighting it for so long, I could finally admit it to myself: he was dead sexy.
As soon as he left for work—work that I still wasn’t entirely clear on—I got out of bed and went down to the den. This was probably my favorite room in his house outside of the bedroom. It had a nice, sunken-in feeling that made it really feel like a den. It was a few steps down, with dark stone features and dark leather furniture. It was a dragon’s version of a man cave. A man cave that I was allowed in.
It helped that there was a TV and a computer in there.
I plopped down in front of the desktop and turned it on, waiting as the blue loading screen did its thing and thinking about all of the things I could accomplish at this desk. It was quiet in Garen’s mansion. There weren’t ever any guests there. His servants, Ash and Brock pretty much left me to my own devices, now that they knew I wasn’t going to threaten to run away at every turn. They were good company when I needed it, too. Well, at least Brock was. Ash was much icier than his name made it seem.
Once the computer was fully booted up, I went onto Columbia’s website and clicked around some of the links. Classes started in August for on-campus students, but things were a little more lenient for us digital students. For one thing, I was only taking three classes this semester. For another thing, I could come to these class sessions in my pajamas or naked if I wanted to.
I did the reading for my first class until my eyes started to glaze over a bit. I checked my phone in case there were any messages from Garen.
There weren’t.
There never were.
For a boyfriend, he sure is quiet. I let him get away with a lot already. At least he could text me a few times a day.
“Hey,” I texted him. “How’s it going at the ol’ Whatever You Do factory office store center?”
Unsurprisingly, he didn’t answer me right away. I went back to my reading and before long I’d clicked onto social media. I got sucked into the vacuum there for a while, until my phone pinged with a new message.
“Business as usual,” Garen had written back. “Boring and slow. Let’s say I work in a business.”
I smiled down at my phone, wishing I could see him and see if he was smiling, too. “The business of kicking ass,” I replied. I set my phone aside then, confident that he was thinking about me, and that he was just busy. Being busy when he at work was totally fine. I got that. Plus, I really should’ve been busier than I was. Sometimes I wished that I had a job, but if Garen wouldn’t risk letting me go to school, there was no way in hell that he was going to let me go work somewhere. Even a job interview would endanger me because everyone knew who I was, and half of that everyone wanted to kill me. It sucked.
Leaning back in my chair, I stretched my arms and looked at the time on the little clock in the corner of the computer screen. It’d only been an hour. “Ugh,” I groaned aloud, knowing that no one around would come worrying about me. There was a fine line between appreciating the space and feeling lonely.
I got out of the swiveling desk chair and walked out of the den towards the kitchen. It dawned on me that I hadn’t even bothered to make myself a Pop-Tart or anything. No wonder my brain was starting to get mushy. As I came into the attractive, black kitchen—I loved the design of the room, even if I wasn’t in love with cooking or anything—I noticed that Brock was sitting there at the breakfast bar, reading a newspaper.
“Hey,” I said to him with a smile. “Good morning. I didn’t know you were here.”
He looked at me and shrugged slightly. “One of us is supposed to be around,” he pointed out. “In case.”
There was a lot of in case where I was concerned. They may not have been worried about me running away anymore, but Brock and Ash still had to worry about someone attacking me. There were plenty of stalkers around, waiting for any sight of me. Sure, I was safer there in the mansion, but that didn’t mean I was completely
safe.
“Okay,” I said resignedly. “Well, let it be known that I just came to the kitchen in search of some breakfast. Are there any Pop-Tarts in here? I just want something quick. I’m supposed to be reading ten pages about Watergate.”
The dragon shifter raised his eyebrows at me. “I don’t understand most of what you said, but I brought groceries and put them in the pantry or the refrigerator last night. Help yourself.”
“Thank you,” I chirped at him. Killing him with kindness had worked out better than trying to argue with him all the time. We got along fine, as long as we didn’t get in each other’s way too much. I went to the pantry and opened it, standing there and staring into the void of packaged snacks and all kinds of dinner items that wouldn’t appeal to me until they were the last thing I could eat. I sighed a little. I was kind of a picky eater. More like a picky chooser. Fortunately, there was a familiar blue box of what I sought. I pulled out one of the pastries and plopped it into the toaster.
“I’m guessing this is just for show,” I said to Brock, indicating the appliance. “A dragon doesn’t need a toaster.” I smirked at him but he just looked at me blankly. I cleared my throat. “Great talking with you, Brock.”
Since I wasn’t exactly finding companionship in the kitchen, I took my hot breakfast pastry and went back down into the den. There, my work awaited. As did the internet, which I currently found more appealing. I had to block social media sites for a while if I was ever going to get work done.
“I don’t exactly miss having to go to class,” I texted Garen, with a Pop-Tart hanging out of my mouth. “But there are so many distractions on the internet.”
“Why don’t you order the books you need, as if you were going to class?” he offered, wasting practically no time to respond this time. “That way, you won’t be reading over the internet and you can feel more engaged.”
This was a good idea. The lectures were still done via web videos, but I didn’t have to read over the internet. The books would be more extensive than the articles my professors sent, too. I went to multiple online sellers and found some good deals, ordering the three textbooks I’d need for the semester. Once that was done, I allowed myself a few minutes of unashamed social media checking.
