“You’re right,” he agreed. “We do. That’s why I want to make this as painless as I can.”

Molly grinned at him sardonically. “Painless, huh?”

Ignoring her quip, Connor lifted his hand slowly to the back of her head, drawing her gently toward his face. He had to kiss her again before the burning in his body detonated. “Something funny, Miss Clary?” he whispered as he inched closer in the direction of that delicious mouth.

Her grin faded at once, her expression morphing into something hot and urgent. “No, Master,” she gasped as his lips skimmed over the edge of her mouth. “Painless just doesn’t sound like the man I know.”

Connor paused, allowing his lips to graze her jaw as he considered her words. Molly had a point. He hadn’t exactly been merciful to her in the past, and the sadist in him could hardly swear he would always be going forward either. “Right again,” he murmured, finally permitting his lips to plant a trail of hot caresses that began at her ear and wandered back to her mouth. “I am first and foremost a sadist, but whatever is left of my heart belongs to you, kitten.”

He hesitated for a moment, allowing that sentiment to settle over her. Molly’s eyes widened, her lips parting of their own accord as his mouth neared them again. “It’s yours, Molly. It yearns for you like nothing else. Like no one else. You have captured it.”

A small groan escaped her lips, the noise making Connor hard. “Master, please,” she begged.

“What is it?” he asked, shifting his attention from the flawless skin at her neck to her yearning eyes. “What do you need, kitten?”

“You, Master,” Molly croaked. “I need you.”

  Chapter Twenty-Five

Connor smoldered at her admission, his breathtaking expression making her want to cry out in desperation. Molly knew it was irrational and fucked up, just like all their story to date, but she didn’t care. She did need him, and she had to have him. Soon.

“If you’re happy to come with me, then I can take you back to The Syndicate now,” he purred. “And once we’re there, I can take care of all your debauched demands, kitten.”

She gazed into those mesmerizing eyes, trying to recall a time that they hadn’t dominated her very conscious thought, but she couldn’t. Hell, Connor was more powerful than even that. Images of him also haunted her dreams these days. It was like he was with her every hour of every day. “But, I don’t have anything with me, Master,” she panted, relishing the way his fingers gripped her hair as she tried to move away.

It was only a small gesture, but it reminded her who was in control, and it sent moisture pooling to her desperate pussy.

“I have everything you’ll need for the day,” he told her, watching her responses carefully as his words resounded.

For the day? Is that what he’d just said? Molly had assumed he’d meant to keep her for a lot longer than that, and she couldn’t fight the disappointment which flooded her system at the idea that he might let her go. That he might not want her at all.

“Oh, kitten,” he murmured, gleefully. “Did you expect me to say longer than that? Did you want me to take you forever?”

Molly could barely pull in another breath. As normal, Connor had been able to read her like an open book, because, yes, that was exactly what she had expected. “That’s what usually happens, Master,” she whispered, although she knew her voice was barely audible.

Connor’s face broke into a wide grin at her answer, and then, as though he couldn’t resist the temptation any longer, his lips claimed her. There was a longing in those hot lips as they met hers, his need every bit as obvious as hers felt. The lust between them was a craving, an addiction, that neither one of them could get enough of, and as Molly opened for his tongue, she was finally replete again.

He kissed her, taking possession of what was already his in the most skilful and mind-blowing way. It was truly a Connor kiss, and as she yielded, Molly couldn’t ever remember a time anyone else had ever kissed her the same way. More than that though, she knew she never wanted anyone else to ever try.

“Is that what you want?” he demanded as his lips drew away. To be without his caress was almost painful, and Molly felt bereft as he gazed into her eyes. “Do you want to me keep you, kitten?”

Her nipples beaded at even the mere mention of him keeping her, and Molly knew if he was to reach down between her legs now, Connor would not be disappointed with what he found.

“I don’t know,” she told him, but that was a lie, and she reckoned they both knew it.

Connor’s hand tightened in her hair. “Don’t lie to me, little pet,” he growled. “If you want to be mine. Truly mine. Mine because it’s what you want and not because it’s what has been forced on you, then you need to be honest with me. Today, and always.”

The severity of his tone made her rueful at once. “I’m sorry, Master,” she gasped. “It’s just hard to admit these things. Especially here…”

Her eyes flitted around them for a brief second, returning his attention to where they were, rather than just how they felt. Connor’s expression relaxed in response.

“I get that,” he conceded after a moment, “but still. My assertion still stands. Tell me the truth, Molly. And not my truth. I want to hear yours.”

She gulped, blinking into his face. “Yes, Master,” she breathed. “I want you to keep me.”

All it took was one text to Morgan, and her fate was sealed. Or at least, that’s what he told himself as he swept them from the pub and out onto the busy London street to find the waiting car. In reality, Connor knew this was different. Yes, he wanted her. He probably wanted her more desperately now than he had when he’d swept her from the rainy street a year ago, but this time was not the same at all. Now, his kitten wanted to be with him, now she chose to be his; now she wanted it. She wanted him. She actually wanted to be with him after everything he had done. The thought nearly took his breath away.

Morgan had been on stand-by for the last hour, and Connor knew his sleek black sedan wouldn’t be far away. He held Molly close as they waited on the corner of the tiny street, his eyes searching the lines of moving vehicles for the one he recognized.

“Is it far?” she asked, her voice betraying some of the trepidation his kitten was obviously feeling now that they were out in the light of day.

Connor glanced down at her anxious face. “Not so far,” he told her soothingly. “But in London traffic, it can still take an age.”

She nodded, snuggling into his body in what seemed like an instinctive way. Her proximity made his cock ache wonderfully.

“You’re sure this is what you want?” he asked all of a sudden. “I mean, I know you said yes, but still. I’m not used to this whole concept of consent.”

Molly giggled against him. “Is this my last chance to get away, Master?” Her tone was playful, but her eyes flashed wickedly, promising him more of what was to come.

He gazed down at the naughty little minx at his side. “If you want it to be,” he murmured into her ear. “I know the thought excites you, kitten, so, yes. This is your last chance to back away, and to say no. If you come with me now, then it’s a life on the end of my leash for you, pet.”

She panted next to him, the idea evidently as tantalizing to Molly as it was to him. “What about my things?” she asked. “I have a couple of bags at the hotel, and I still need to check out and pay for—”

He pressed a large finger against her soft lips. “You don’t need to worry about that,” he told her firmly. “I will settle your account and have your things brought to us. I’ll take care of anything else you require, too. Remember how it is with me, kitten. Your Master will take care of everything now.”

Connor could see her mind quiet at his words, the questions in her eyes fading as he removed the digit from her tempting lips.

“Of course, I’ll have to blindfold you,” he said matter-of-factly. “So you don’t know where we’re going, or where we are when we arrive. That way, if you do
change your mind, you won’t be able to track us down.”

That was bullshit. Once she got into that car, there really was no way back for little Miss Clary, and deep down, Connor suspected she knew that. But this little game was going to make the whole journey a hell of a lot more fun…

Molly’s eyes widened like saucers. “Really?” she asked in a gasp. “Blindfolded?”

He smiled, aware at once that she understood, and was playing along, just as he’d hoped. Molly really was a smart pet. “Yes,” he told her in a husky tone. “Sensory deprivation isn’t really one of my things, but it is a good trust exercise, kitten.”

She balked at his answer. “And leaving your life on another continent, and flying all the way to England to meet with the man who snatched you from a street isn’t a trust exercise, Master?” she quipped.

Connor laughed. He really was going to adore having her around him permanently. “You have me there,” he murmured as his arm twisted around her slim body, and pulled her hard against his body. “Yes, I think that already constitutes quite a test of trust.”

Just then, Morgan’s sedan came into view, and instinctively, his heart began to race. This was it. The moment he had dreamt about since his arrest forced them apart last year. This was the moment his kitten consented to be with him.

“Here we are,” he told her as the vehicle approached. “Here’s our car.”

Connor guided her forward, weaving through the throng of London sightseers as the sedan pulled up to the curb. There was practically nowhere legal to stop in the capital, so they wouldn’t have long before this one, small gesture ended up attracting unwelcome attention.

“The car looks familiar,” she mumbled as he finally reached the back door. “Is it yours?”

He hesitated for a second, resisting the urge to smile. Of course the car seemed familiar to Molly. It was exactly the same make and model he’d rented before; the same car he had taken her in.

“It’s not mine,” he replied, whispering directly into her ear. “But we all drive the same type of car, so, yes, kitten. It’s the same sort that I took you in last year.”

He saw her gulp, those dark blue eyes blinking in rapid succession as her brain tried to absorb the information.

“Molly,” Connor’s voice was like a low purr. “Is this okay? Do you still want to do this?”

It wasn’t like he wanted to give her the option, but still, Connor knew if they were going to do this, then they had to do it right. Molly had to be given the choice he’d deprived her of the first time. She had to choose.

There was a moment when nothing happened. They both just stood there on the busy street, his arm around her body, and the low thrum of the idling engine almost entirely drowned out by the chatter of the passing crowd. Connor’s heart was in his throat by the time she met his gaze again, and if there had ever been any doubt in his mind about who really had the power in this relationship, then this moment made it crystal clear to him. It was Molly, or at least, it was Molly now. She could walk away, she could say no, and with everything she knew about his life, she could potentially bring down the entire Syndicate at the same time.

“I want this,” she whispered up into his face. “It’s just a little unnerving getting into the same car with you.”

Connor chuckled, the relief palpable as he smiled down at her. “I understand,” he answered. “No drugs and binds this time. Just the blindfold, if you want it?”

Molly’s eyes flashed with salacious need, and she bit her lower lip as she replied. “Oh, I want it, Master,” she told him firmly. “I want it.”

  Chapter Twenty-Six

Within moments, they were in the car. Connor slammed the door shut, and gave a few directions to the waiting driver. Molly eyed him nervously, trying to ignore the knotted anxiety which twisted in her belly. She had no real idea what she’d just agreed to. All she knew with any certainty was that being with Connor felt right. She didn’t always agree with him, and she sure as hell hadn’t always liked him, but regardless, the connection between them was a real, perceptible entity. Molly needed him; she knew that now. Life in America after the trial had taught her that lesson time and time again. She needed him to write, and she needed him to feel. Connor’s darkness gave her world bright, unmistakable color, and now that he’d found it, there was no going back to the shades of gray.

“Okay?” he asked as the car pulled away.

Molly turned to meet his eye. Was she okay? Was choosing a life with your ex-captor, okay? She didn’t know anymore, and she’d spent far too much of her life musing on the damn concept. What mattered now was the choice had been made. The life had begun, and she wanted to live it.

“Yes, Master,” she whispered, but her voice sounded tiny in the huge backseat.

Somehow, Molly had forgotten just how large the leather interiors of these cars were. Stupid really, when you consider she’d been trussed up in one on more than one occasion.

“Come here, kitten,” he ordered, the index finger of his right hand rising to beckon her across the leather seat.

Molly’s heart was thundering inside her chest as she obeyed the command, but obey she did. She had no desire to resist Connor now, and anyway, she wanted to close the distance between them. Somehow, he seemed far too far away, all of a sudden.

Connor’s arm slid around her shoulder as she neared, and she permitted him to slide her even closer toward his body. “You look a little nervous,” he told her with a smile. “Though I can’t imagine why that would be.”

She flashed him a sardonic smile. “Right,” she agreed. “What would be nerve-wracking about this? It’s ridiculous.”

He snorted at her response, lowering his lips to plant a firm kiss on her forehead. “You’re safe,” he continued. “You’re safe, and we’re together. No one is ever going to hurt you again, pet.”

Molly twisted her body to look up into his face. “Except you, Master?” she breathed, vocalizing the words which popped into her head at his assertion.

Connor gazed down at her, his expression serious. “That’s right, kitten,” he murmured. “No one except me.”

Though her heart was racing at the erotic threat, Molly’s body came alive beside him. She could feel the heat as it coursed around her body, pooling at her core, and she knew her pussy would be slick with arousal. There had never been any doubt about the effect Connor Reilly had on her, but this moment shone a spotlight on the fact. His mastery of her made her horny, virtually all the time, and the delicious debauchery of his deeds sent ideas flooding to her brain like a tsunami. For the first time in months, Molly felt a real urge to write. And not just a few thousand words, but more than that. She actually wanted to sit down at a laptop and just bleed, allowing the words to come and form sentences as they desired.

“Do you have a laptop I can use, Master?” she asked suddenly. “I feel the need to write again.”

Connor smirked at her. “Of course, kitten” he answered. “But I can’t promise they’ll be any writing in your immediate future. First, I’ll have to have you over, and over again until we’re both completely spent. And then I’ll have to introduce you to some important people in The Syndicate.”

She sighed against his body. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to do all those things—of course she did—but somehow, the ideas in her head felt like they were going to burst if she didn’t at least get them down on paper.

“What about paper?” she asked, almost breathless at the thought.

  His expression looked blank.

“Do you have a pen and some paper I could use, right now?”

“I thought you wanted to be blindfolded?” he countered wryly. As he spoke, that dark brow arched over his dazzling eyes, sending a bolt of electricity straight to Molly’s clit.

“Oh, I do,” she insisted. “I’ll be quick. But, please, Master. Can I just get these ideas down, before I forget them all?”

For a moment he didn’t answer, and the trepidation in Molly grew. So
mehow, the idea that he could say no to such a simple request became the center of her entire world, far more important than where they were going, what would happen when they got there, or perhaps more worryingly, how she was going to reconcile any of this with her old life in America. And then, Connor’s gaze softened, and he leaned forward toward the driver.

“Morgan, do you have a pen and paper here?”

The guy in the charcoal suit and dark glasses turned momentarily toward Connor’s direction. Molly couldn’t see his eyes, but the expression on his face told her that he thought Connor had finally lost it. “Try the glove compartment,” he muttered. “There’s usually a variety of shit in there.”

Connor nodded, gesturing for Molly to sit back as he pulled his tall frame across the middle of the moving vehicle, and leapt lithely into the passenger seat. Molly had seen him move with grace and efficiency many times before, but his agility never failed to impress her. How such a large man could move so fast, was truly mind-blowing, but the fact that he had done so—and for her—made her smile to herself in the back of the car.

“Here,” he called, thrusting a small pad of paper and a black ballpoint pen in Molly’s direction. “Get writing.”

Molly reached for the items at once, the feeling of the paper between her fingers as exhilarating as she’d known for a long time. “Thank you, Master,” she replied, and she knew she was beaming. All of a sudden, these simple items had become paramount to her happiness and well-being.

She looked up to find Connor crouched on the seat ahead.

“Shift over,” he commanded. “I don’t want to land on you… yet.”

Connor smirked at her knowingly, and laughed at the blush that immediately engulfed her face. Obediently, she slid right, allowing him ample room to dart back into his original place, before he opened his arm out to her. A simple gesture that Molly knew meant he wanted her back against him. A place she was glad to be.
