  Fowler, Lisa: Arlene’s daughter loves her “aunt” Sookie, a frequent babysitter. She is intrigued when she meets Bill, questioning his paleness, but gives tacit approval to his courtship of Sookie. As Sookie and Arlene go their increasingly separate ways, Arlene cuts off the children’s contact with Sookie. Freyda is the Queen of Oklahoma ; it’s possible that she sent Felicia to spy on Eric prior to the Nevada takeover and kept her there to continue to report on both Eric and the new king.   Fullenwilder, Jimmy: Baptist minister Fullenwilder joins the search for the missing Jason and is put in a group with Sookie, Calvin Norris, Crystal Norris, and Felton Norris, as the rifleman. He is able to shoot and kill the feral pig that attacks Crystal. (DTTW)

  Furnan, Libby (wolf): Patrick’s wife, Libby, fully supports her husband in his bid to become packmaster, even accepting his ceremonial mating with a willing female pack member after he wins the title, knowing he will return to being a faithful husband after the ritual. When she goes missing, Furnan suspects Alcide. The men discover that Priscilla Hebert, widow of the St. Catherine Parish packmaster, has killed Libby, Maria-Star Cooper, and Christine Larrabee in an effort to start a war between them.   Furnan, Patrick (wolf): After the death of Shreveport packmaster Colonel Flood, Harley-Davidson dealership owner Patrick vies with Jackson Herveaux for the job. Both men begin their campaigns in their eulogies for Colonel Flood. Patrick emphasizes Jackson’s weakness for gambling to cast doubt on his rival’s suitability for the position. The packmaster contest consists of three tests taken in wolf form; although Patrick cheats, forfeiting the first and second tests, the pack votes to allow him to continue. He wins the third test, a test of battle, decisively and opts to kill his rival. His methods are not appreciated by the entire pack, and they remain split even after he takes his place as packmaster.

  When Maria-Star Cooper is killed, Alcide immediately suspects Patrick. Patrick’s wife, Libby, is missing, and he immediately suspects Alcide. They call upon Sookie to help them find the truth. Priscilla Hebert reveals herself and her pack, announcing that she is behind the loss of Maria-Star and Libby, as well as Christine Larrabee. The pack unites to fight Priscilla and her Weres. Patrick dies bravely, surrounded by the dead bodies of his enemies, and the pack howls the loss of their packmaster before celebrating their victory. (DAAD; mentioned DD; dies FDTW)

  Furnan children (wolf and human): No names given. Patrick and Libby Furnan have two children, a boy who will be a Were and a girl who will remain human. After the deaths of their parents, the children go to live with Libby’s sister, who is told that Patrick was a member of a secret society to explain why members of the pack will continue to be in the son’s life.   G:

  Gabe: No last name given. A member of the Dallas Fellowship of the Sun, Gabe keeps Farrell imprisoned in the cellar of the church. He happily locks Hugo and Sookie up as well. Having already badly injured Sookie when she tried to escape, Gabe is willing to continue the abuse. After shutting Hugo in with Farrell, Gabe attempts to molest Sookie. He is stopped by Godfrey, who unintentionally kills him. (Dies LDID)

  Garfield, Mrs.: No first name given. Mrs. Garfield, the wife of a Methodist-Episcopal minister, is the principal of Betty Ford Elementary School when Cody Cleary goes missing. She happily attends the wedding shower of Halleigh, one of her teachers. (DAAD, ATD)

  Garza, Luna (bat): Petite werebat Luna successfully infiltrates the Fellowship of the Sun in Dallas to gather information for the local shifter groups. When she realizes that Sookie knows she is a shifter and sees that she is in trouble, Luna blows her cover helping Sookie escape the church, which is locked down for the night. After getting rear-ended by Sarah Newlin and Polly Blythe, Luna contacts a shifter doctor at the hospital Sookie is taken to, has all traces of her treatment erased, and arranges a ride back to the hotel.

  Divorced with no children, Luna gets out of the spy business and takes a job with a PR firm in Dallas. She hears about Sam’s brother’s wedding and travels with other two-natured to Wright to help stave off any violence. Afterward, she joins the impromptu party at Bernie’s and, while spending some quality time with a cute Chinese Were cop from Fort Worth, scents a dead body in the house next door. She and Sookie cautiously enter the house to find Sarah Newlin of the Fellowship of the Sun injured on the floor, shot by house owner Jim Collins, whom she shot and killed in return. After calling the police, explaining the situation, and seeing Sarah taken into custody, Luna and Sookie return to the party. At the end of the night, Luna hugs Sookie good-bye and leaves with her newly found Were friend. (LDID, STW)

  Genuine Magic Shop, the: Run by members of Amelia Broadway’s coven, the Genuine Magic Shop is in the French Quarter. Amelia works at the shop when she goes back to New Orleans. (Mentioned DR)

  George (wolf): No last name given. A member of the gang that kidnaps Sookie and Quinn from Hadley’s apartment, George drives the van taking them to the Pelts. He and Clete continue to the cabin the Pelts are using after the prisoners escape. As they smoke outside, Quinn (in his tiger form) pounces. (DD)

  Gerald (vampire): No last name given. Gerald, one of Pam’s nest mates, fights in and survives the Witch War. Gerald generally keeps to himself, though he puts in his time at Fangtasia. (DTTW)

  German shepherd shifter: No name given. A German shepherd stares at Sookie with luminous yellow eyes as she lies staked on the floor of Josephine’s. (CD)

  Gervaise (vampire): No other name given. After the devastation of New Orleans and Area One by Hurricane Katrina, Sheriff Gervaise hosts Sophie-Anne in his nearby Area Four. He attends the summit along with his human lover, Carla, and both perish in the hotel bombing. (Dies ATD; mentioned FDTW)

  Ginger: No last name given. Fangtasia fangbanger Ginger is accidentally killed when Hallow, in her search for Eric, casts a spell on the human Fangtasia employees that causes their leg muscles to cramp up. Ginger falls, hitting her head on a bathroom sink. (DUD; dies DTTW)

  Gladiola (half demon): No last name given. Gladiola is Diantha’s sister and Mr. Cataliades’s niece. Mr. Cataliades dispatches Gladiola with a message to Sookie, but she is intercepted and is killed by Jade Flower. Glad’s body is burned by Diantha and Mr. Cataliades on Sookie’s driveway.   Glassport, Johan: Attorney Johan is hired by Sophie-Anne to defend her against the charges brought by the Arkansas vampires for Peter Threadgill’s death. Although he preps for the case, his services prove unnecessary when the Ancient Pythoness rules in Sophie-Anne’s favor. Nonetheless, Johan manages to collect his fee from Sophie-Anne’s estate and return to Mexico, where he had previously served time for striking a prostitute. He is guilty of many worse things.   Godric/Godfrey (vampire): No last name given. Just a teenager when he was turned centuries ago, tattooed Godric—or Godfrey, as he has been known for the past century—has decided that vampires are an abomination. He himself is far too fond of children, in a very unhealthy way. Believing that only his death will stop him from continuing to sin, he has allied himself with the Fellowship of the Sun. He plans to meet the sun in a ritual. He lures Farrell into the hands of the Fellowship so Farrell will die with him. Godfrey reluctantly saves Sookie from Gabe and helps her escape. Although the Fellowship of the Sun is thrown into a panic and cancels their morning ceremony, Godfrey car
ries through with his own plans. He meets the dawn while Sookie bears witness, believing that in his repentance he will see the face of God. (Dies LDID)

  Golden, Phoebe (vampire): The Queen of Iowa, Phoebe is married to the King of Ohio, and both attend the summit at Rhodes. (ATD)

  Graham, Parfit: Shreveport police chief Graham investigates the missing people after the Were war, unaware that there are motives and actions that he will never understand and bodies that he will never find. (FDTW)

  Gray, Ashley: Ashley is the daughter of Merlotte’s waitress Danielle. (Mentioned LDID, DAAD, DD, ATD, FDTW, DAG)

  Gray, Danielle: Danielle has been Holly Cleary’s best friend all through high school. She and Holly support each other through their respective divorces and raising their children. The two begin to part ways as Holly delves deeper into the Wiccan religion and each gains a steady boyfriend. (LDID, DAAD, DD, FDTW, DR; mentioned DTTW, ATD, DAG)

  Gray, Mark Robert: Mark Robert is the son of Merlotte’s waitress Danielle. (Mentioned LDID, DD, ATD, FDTW, DAG)

  Green, Dawn: Dawn works as a barmaid at Merlotte’s and is fairly easy with all males, both human and vampire. She does not object to being filmed during sex, and she enjoys it rough. Her body is found when Sam asks Sookie to stop by Dawn’s apartment to check on her. (Dies DUD)

  Gregory (vampire): No last name given. Gregory, known by Eric and Ocella, had to be staked after being infected by maenad Phryne’s madness at the Halloween Massacre of 1876 in St. Petersburg. (Deceased; mentioned LDID, DITF)

  Griesniki, Milos (vampire): A recent immigrant from the old country, Milos Griesniki gets a job bartending at Fangtasia and immediately begins to pry into the financial matters of Eric and the bar. When Eric calls for the Lord of Darkness to reveal himself at Fangtasia’s Dracula Night party, Milos claims to be Vlad Tepes III, aka Dracula, and announces that he plans to stay on at Fangtasia for a year, expecting not only tribute, tithe, and vampire servants but also fresh blood from the source, with Sookie being his first meal. He attempts to glamour Sookie to obey him but is tricked by her into revealing his lack of knowledge of the burial place of the real Dracula. Staked by Sookie, Milos flakes away even as Eric and Pam defend her actions to the other attending vampires, stating that, as Milos was not really Dracula, it was he who committed a crime by pretending to be their founder, not Sookie.   Gristede, Mrs.: No first name given. Mrs. Gristede’s class meets in the Pony Room at the Red Ditch kindergarten. (DR)

  Guglielmi, Antonio “Dago”: Dago works on the road crew with Catfish and Jason and frequents Merlotte’s with his friends. (DTTW, DAAD, DD)

  H:

  Hair of the Dog: Owned by Were Amanda Whatley and catering to shifters of all kinds, the Hair of the Dog is located in an old brick storefront near Centenary College, just off Kings Highway in Shreveport. The door is warded by a top-of-the-line go-away spell that causes any humans who approach to have an uncontrollable urge to turn around and leave, and only the aura of a shifter can negate the spell for a human until he or she is inside. After Quinn and Sookie are attacked by bitten Weres on their first date, Quinn takes her to the Hair of the Dog to inform the Shreveport pack. One of the employees at the club that night is Jannalynn Hopper, whom Sam eventually starts dating. When Amanda is killed in the Were war, the bar passes to Alcide, who retains Jannalynn as manager.   Hale, Bartlett: Adele’s brother, Bartlett, takes advantage of his family connections to molest Adele’s daughter, Linda; Linda’s daughter, Hadley; and Sookie. He is forbidden to come to the house after Sookie manages to tell Adele what has happened. Bartlett is killed by persons unknown shortly after Sookie tells Bill of her abuse at her great-uncle’s hands. He leaves Sookie money. (Dies DUD; mentioned DD, FDTW, DITF)

  Hallow’s coven members (shifters): Hallow’s coven is made up of shifters, all of whom also drink vampire blood. They follow her lead as she makes her play for the assets of both Eric and Area Five, and seeks to destroy the Long Tooth pack. (DTTW)

  Hanson, Mrs.: No first name given. Mrs. Hanson has had two car accidents since signing with John Robert Briscoe’s insurance agency. (L)

  Happy Cutter, the: Three blocks from the Genuine Magic Shop in the French Quarter is the Happy Cutter, a unisex hair salon where Bob Jessup gets a job when he returns to New Orleans. (Mentioned DR)

  Hardaway, Cleo: Cleo runs the high school cafeteria during the day and attends orgies with her husband at night. They are infected with maenad Callisto’s madness and die together at the lake house with Jan Fowler and Mike Spencer. (Dies LDID)

  Hardaway, Tom: Tom and his wife, Cleo, attend the orgy at the lake house, where Sookie is able to read in Tom’s mind their involvement in the death of Lafayette Reynold. Both Tom and Cleo fall victim to maenad Callisto’s madness, dying on the porch with Jan Fowler and Mike Spencer. (Dies LDID)

  Harley-Davidson dealership: No name given. A motorcycle dealership owned by Patrick Furnan. It not only sells Harley-Davidsons but also does repairs and sells parts and accessories that bike riders need, such as saddlebags, riding leathers, helmets, and goggles, along with a stock of T-shirts and other authorized items with the H-D insignia.   Harrow, Matthew: Newscaster Matthew watches nervously as Patricia Crimmins announces the existence of shifters and changes into her werewolf form on camera. (DAG)

  Hart, Ginjer (panther): Mel Hart’s ex-wife, Ginjer, occasionally stops by Merlotte’s for a margarita. According to Mel, their marriage didn’t work out because they both had unconventional sexual interests. (DAG)

  Hart, Mel (panther): One of the rare local panthers who chooses to live outside Hotshot, Mel Hart rents a duplex from Sam and works at Bon Temps Auto Parts. When Jason’s best friend, Hoyt, becomes engaged to Holly Cleary, Mel takes his place in Jason’s life. They go to bars, work on their cars—all the things guys do when they’re hanging out. But Mel has a secret. He left Hotshot when he was unable to fulfill his duty to the pack by producing a full panther child with his now ex-wife, Ginjer. Mel is gay, and he has fallen in love with Jason. He stops by to see Jason one day, but he’s not home. Crystal arrives and taunts him sexually. He slaps her in a fit of anger. Thinking she’s dead, he tosses her into his truck and goes into Jason’s house for a drink to calm his nerves. When he returns, Crystal is gone. He is as surprised as everyone else when her body is found on the cross in Merlotte’s parking lot. Dermot knows what really happened and goes to Jason’s house later to confront Mel, but he is unable to clearly communicate what went on and throws Mel across the room, calling him a killer. Sookie realizes the implication of Dermot’s visit to Jason and his attack on Mel and confronts Mel at Jason’s house after notifying Calvin. Mel admits his guilt and accepts his fate at the hands of his packmaster, Jason, Crystal’s sister Dawn, and their first cousin Jacky. (Dies DAG)

  Harvey (unknown): No last name given. Harvey searches Bill’s house for the database but comes up empty-handed. (Mentioned CD)

  Hawk shifter: No name given. A hawk narrowly misses the ceiling fan at Josephine’s while flying away after shifting when Sookie is staked. (CD)

  Hebert, Arthur (wolf): Arthur was the packleader of the St. Catherine Parish Weres. After his death, his wife, Priscilla, looks for a new place for her pack. (Deceased; mentioned FDTW)

  Hebert, Priscilla (wolf): Widow of the St. Catherine Parish Were packmaster, Priscilla seeks a new home for her remaining pack after the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. Her attempt to instigate a war between Patrick Furnan and Alcide by killing females of the Long Tooth pack almost succeeds but is derailed when Sookie arranges a meeting between the two Weres. Even though Cal Myers, supposedly loyal to Furnan, is identified as Maria-Star Cooper’s killer, both men accept that neither ordered the deaths of Maria-Star, Libby Furnan, and Christine Larrabee. Cal is revealed as Priscilla’s half brother. As the Weres battle it out in wolf form, Priscilla kills Amanda and then is killed by Sam, who has wisely changed into a lion ins

  Heidi (vampire): No last name given. Heidi, a superior tracker, is sent to Shreveport by Victor to spy on Eric. When fairies and a body are scented by the Weres in Sookie’s woods, Heidi arrives to try to sort it all out. She informs Sookie that two fairies, many werewolves, and one vampire have been traipsing around, and that two bodies, one killed very recently, are buried on the land.

  Heidi talks of her son, now grown and drug addicted, living in Reno, and is surprisingly gentle and careful with Hunter, kneeling to speak to him on his level and spelling out words she doesn’t want him to understand. When Eric offers to allow her to move her son to Shreveport, she readily accepts and gives her loyalty to her new sheriff, taking his side against Victor in the assassination. (DITF, DR)

  Hennessy, Shirley “Catfish”: Jason’s boss, Catfish, is never called Shirley by his men. A loyal friend, Catfish protests Andy Bellefleur’s and Alcee Beck’s treatment of Sookie when Jason goes missing. He also organizes the search party for the woods around Jason’s house.
