  They came first. Not any moral obligation to fix something they had so little to do with. It was time to heal the wounds of these past months and to work on mending the even older ones, ones brought on by years of loneliness, by years of lies. It was time to move on.

  Dom also hoped moving on with their lives would send a message. Not to the Den, but to other bears in the world. Dom and his family showed that the Den wasn’t the only option. They could survive on their own, fall in love on their own, and raise families on their own.
