A Selfish Kind of Love Page 7

She quivered underneath his torture. “Shit,” she hissed, feeling her juices coat her thigh.

“Cum for me,” he coached her, applying deeper pressure on her clit as he slid in and out of her to a rhythm snatching all her strength. “I feel that shit. Cum for me now!”

She growled and gave into her release, coating the condom.

“Shit.” He slapped her ass, and she collapsed on the bed. “Nah,” he chuckled, “bring it back.”

She wanted to tap out, but he deserved all of her and she needed to make sure she thoroughly fucked him the way only she could.

He drew her hips to him and she sucked his dick deep inside her core before bouncing it back.

“Yeah,” he growled as he pressed on her back. “Fuck me baby.”

“Mmhmm,” she choked out as he took over.

“Right there. Don’t move.” He held her hips taunt enough she didn’t have a choice. “Don’t move.”

He doubled his pace, and she cried out his name.

  “Shit, I’m finna nut.”

  “Nut for me baby!”

  “Got damn I’m finna nut!”

“Cum for me baby,” she begged while gripping the sheets without mercy.

“Ah shit.” His grip loosened on her and he let out the most satisfying animalistic noise to her ears as he released.

Tessah laid in a daze when he returned with a wash cloth and cleaned between her legs. He placed a soft kiss on her lower lips before slapping her thigh and falling beside her in the bed.

“Dinner?” he asked with a knowing smirk. Their dinner date was the furthest thing from her mind at this point. The thought of walking, frightened her.

“I’m looking at dinner,” she responded with her eyes on the birthday cake he’d placed on the dresser.

  “Cake for dinner?”

  “Cake for dinner.”

Tessah’s eyes didn’t open until after twelve in the afternoon the next day. After they ate half her birthday cake, they’d spent the rest of the night putting each other to sleep or waking each other up. It wasn’t until their fifth sex session, Tessah’s vagina bowed out.

However as her eyes landed on him sound asleep, she’d give in to another round if he initiated it. Sex with him differed from any man she’d ever been with. His deadly stroke game and their explosive chemistry had Tessah ready to risk her limbs.

She crept out of bed, grabbed one of his shirts from his closet, and trudged to the kitchen.

  ❖❖❖

  She was his.

Tessah Dasia Jones had captured him and there was no way he’d let anyone else experience her the way he had. She absorbed him into her body as if he belonged - and he did. He wanted nothing more than for her to wrap him in her warmth while they fell for each other. And he was falling. Fast.

The sex was one thing but their connection had him seeing the whole galaxy with each thrust.

He stretched, rolled out of his bed, completed his morning hygiene, and went to find his queen. “Afternoon,” he said as she popped two bagels into his conventional oven. On the counter set a large bowl with strawberries, pineapples, and melon.

“Hey babe.” They shared a smile, warming his soul better than hot chocolate could.

He gave her a kiss, and they engaged in small talk until climbing back in his bed with their stomachs full from the mini brunch.

“You gon’ open your gifts?” He turned on his TV.

Tessah nodded and forced the covers back. “I can’t believe you did this. You said my gift was helping with my party.”

He shrugged. “It’s not much. Most of it is little shit. I had to get you something tangible.” She balled up her face to stifle her smile. “And I can’t take all the credit. Shay executed it.”

Tessah kissed her teeth as she eyed him. Her seductive big eyes made blood rush to his core on impact. “So, I should’ve been giving your cousin my goodies.”

Kyree laughed. “It was my idea. I didn’t have time to do it. Her ass was more than happy to help. She can’t wait to meet you.”

“I’ll be sure to thank her. So,” Tessah sang, eyeing the gift bags, “which should I open last?”

“That one.” Kyree pointed at an all gold gift bag. The others were black or white.

Tessah opened her gifts which included her favorite snacks, gift cards to her favorite Thai place and Victoria Secret, and other cute trinkets. When she lifted the gold bag and shook it, he laughed. It wasn’t much, but he hoped she liked it.

Her top teeth dug into her bottom lip as she opened the jewelry box to reveal a simple yet beautiful gold necklace. The pendant was a sun. Below it the words ‘you brighten up my day’ were written.

She smiled his way. Her cheekbones high as her appreciation shone through her eyes. “This is beautiful and sweet.”

“Go head and say a little corny.”

She cackled. “A smidge but no judgment zone. I love it.” She leaned into his space and kissed him before he put it around her neck.

“So,” she said, snuggling back against him. “Am I supposed to assume now I’m your girl?”

“Forever my ladyyy,” he sang, making her throw her head back in laughter. He cleared his throat rubbing it with his pointer and middle finger. “You need me to break it down with my Jodeci impression?”

She dropped her chin. “Please do,” she outstretched her arm, “the floor is yours.”

Kyree jumped out the bed and turned on his speaker. “You ain’t ready but I’ma give it to you anyway.” He pressed play on his streaming app and “Forever My Lady” by Jodeci flowed into the air.

As the beat dropped, he started two stepping and snapping his fingers to the beat and Tessah fell over on the bed laughing. When he fake harmonized the intro she screamed, “You better do it!!”

Kyree zoned out as he lip sync’d the words to the song while giving Tessah a true 90s R&B video vibe. He did his 360 turns, snapped his fingers, and outstretched his arms at all the best moments as he put on a show for her.

Tessah wiped away tears from her eyes, as he fell back beside her in bed. “Does that answer your question?” he asked, while she still snickered at his antics.

“Mmhmm.” Her soft lips covered his before her thighs held him in place. “I would’ve thrown my panties if I were wearing any.” She winked and his best friend twitched beneath her. “Down boy.” She sniggered.

“Stop playing with his emotions.” Kyree pushed her off him and she stuck out her tongue. He pulled her to him and they shared a kiss. He could love on her all damn day.

“On a serious note,” she said leaning back against the headboard. “This relationship life is new to me and it might take some getting used to. The whole being a girlfriend thing.”

“All you gotta get used to is being honest, loyal, and committed to us and we’ll be good.”

The afternoon continued with them getting sucked into the show Black Summer on Netflix. When his doorbell rang, Tessah jumped.

“This why I don’t watch zombie ish,” Tessah said, snickering as Kyree checked his phone.

“Shit.” His Ring app showed Chandra standing outside his front door with his daughter. Fuck.

“What?” He showed her the app. He’d text Chandra earlier, and she said she wouldn’t drop Cherry off until five. It was pushing four and after the episode he’d plan to drop Tessah home. “Oh.”

  “I’ll be right back.”

Kyree didn’t want or need Chandra to show her ass in front of their daughter. He didn’t think she’d take him dating someone else well. He would damn near put his life on it.

“Hey,” Chandra said as he opened the door. Cherry was asleep in her arms. “Her appointment finished early, so I figured I’d bring her now.”

“Why you ain’t let me know?” he asked as she walked inside.

“You said you were home.” Without his consent - which wasn’t an issue prior to today - Chandra continued through the house and to Cherry’s bedroom. He followed behind her h
oping she ain’t peep Tessah was in the house. “Make sure you send me pictures once she is dressed,” she said as they strolled back to the living room.

  “I will.”

Chandra paused when they reached his door and he saw her head lower to something. “Um whose shoes are those?” Shit. “You got someone else in here? Who?”

It crossed his mind to lie but it wouldn’t get them anywhere. “None of your business.”

“It is if my daughter is here too. You can’t have her meeting a random bitch.”

“I wouldn’t have her meet a random bitch.”

“Then who’s in your room because you must got the hoe hiding in there.”

“Chan look… I have company but you weren’t supposed to come until five. She’s about to go.”

“She better be about to go and you better not let Cherry see her.” Chandra wagged her finger in his face.

“Ay calm the fuck down, aight?” His eyes narrowed at her.

“No! This is why you’ve been acting funny. You’ve been curving me and not even giving up the dick anymore because you’re out here fucking other chicks instead of fixing us!”

Kyree clenched his teeth. He refused to show his ass. “Chandra I cut you off because you couldn’t separate fucking from wanting more. Let’s do what we need to do as parents and leave it at that.”

“You not about to have another bitch around our child.” She stormed off, and he seized her by the elbow, swinging her back near the door.

  “What the fuck you doing?”

  “Getting my daughter!”

“Chan go somewhere with the bullshit fareal. I already said my company about to leave. You’re not taking my daughter.”

“I’m tired of you playing me!”

“You’re playing your damn self. You wanna hear what you want to. I’m not about to do this with you so you need to go.” He opened the front door.

She glowered at him as if she wanted to push her luck but she turned on her heels and left. “Fuck,” Kyree groaned out loud. He checked on Cherry before heading to his bedroom. When he entered, Tessah was slipping on clothes from her overnight bag.

“I’m going to go,” she said in an even tone.

“My bad about Chandra. I’m not sure what you heard but—”

Tessah waved her hands. “I’m not bothered by what happened out there. I’m leaving because your daughter is here and I’m not sure I’m ready to meet her yet and I don’t think you’re ready either. Don’t feel bad about kicking me out.”

He smirked. “You’re kicking yourself out.”

  “Same difference.”

He eyed her as she stuffed her smaller gifts and things into her bag. “You sure we good? I don’t wanna be blocked tomorrow.”

She gave him a genuine smile, slowing down his heart rate. “I promise we’re good. I’ll see you tomorrow, right?”

“Yeah. I’ll be over around three.”

“Cool.” He pulled her into a kiss as she came into his space. He sucked on her tongue and ran his fingers down her back before cupping her ass. “See you’re trying to start something,” Tessah said, pulling back.

He damn sure wouldn’t have minded a quickie before she left. But no telling how much longer his baby girl would be sleep. “Here,” he handed her the keys to his mustang since he planned on using his truck later.

She pulled her mouth to the side. “Oh. I was gonna get an Uber.”

“Take the keys. I’ll get it back from you tomorrow. Be careful with my baby though.”

Tessah grinned. “I’ma dog her out.” He narrowed his eyes at her. “Kidding!”

TESSAH WAS IN AWE when she pulled into her driveway after returning from class. An all white Range Rover set parked in front of her house with a large red bow on the hood. Excitement coursed through her before reality set in. Only one person would gift her such an elaborate gift.

The card attached to the windshield confirmed it: Caiden.

I couldn’t let your birthday go by without getting you something. I know I said it would be a graduation gift, but I figured why not now? Baby, I miss you and I fucked up but this should makeup for it. Call me.

  -Cai

Tessah read the card a few more times before fetching her phone and sending Caiden a text.

Tessah: WTF. I don’t want it. We’re done.

Caiden: Let’s have dinner. We can discuss things.

Tessah: There isn’t anything else to discuss Cai. Leave me alone. I’m getting a restraining order.

  Caiden: Tessah don’t threaten me.

Tessah: Then leave me alone. Come get this car before I have it towed.

Caiden: Think about what you’re giving up baby. I always get what I want.

Tessah: Not from me. I’m dating someone Cai.

  Caiden: And I’m married.

Tessah: Be with your wife. Stop contacting me.

Tessah blocked him as she trotted to her house. She hadn’t heard from Caiden in weeks and figured he had moved on. But this takes the cake. He’d lost his mind but damn did she not want to go for a joy ride in that beautiful masterpiece of a car.

Leave it to a man to come bopping his ass back into your space when you assume you’ve gotten rid of them. Caiden had been the furthest thing from her mind because Kyree didn’t give her room to think about much else besides him.

The way he’d owned her body consumed her thoughts. She couldn’t wait to see him in a couple of hours. She’d soaked in Epsom salt yesterday once she got home and was ready for him to beat it up all over again.

That afternoon the Range still set parked outside her house when she opened the door for Kyree. His eyes moved between her and the truck. “I’ll explain.”

“Okay.” He paused to give her a kiss. As Tessah explained the situation, Kyree sat with his arms crossed with an unreadable expression on his face. However, his rigid body told her he wasn’t pleased. “This nigga still reaching out to you after you got a restraining order?”

“I never got around to it.” She recoiled at the look he gave her. “It slipped my mind. He wasn’t bothering me anymore, so I thought he had said fuck me and continued about his life.”

“Baby, he put his hands on you.” His jaw twitched.

  “I know but—”

“Ain’t no fucking buts!” He stood. “Yo where the keys at?”

  “Still in the truck.”

“Where he work? I’m about to deliver this shit back to him.”

  “No, Kyree. I’ll handle it.”

“No,” he snapped. “You were supposed to handle it and the nigga still ain’t get the fucking hint. I’ll make sure he gets it this time.”

She held onto his elbow. “I don’t want you doing something stupid.”

Kyree tittered in annoyance. “You acting like I’m about to go end this nigga life.”

“That’s how you sound! What you gonna do then?”

“I’m about to tell him man to man to stay the fuck away from my girl.”

  ❖❖❖

Kyree checked his temper as he zoomed into the parking lot of Caiden’s practice. There were three sides to every story, but he hoped like hell Tessah hadn’t been entertaining someone who had the audacity to put their hands on her. Or anyone.

They had been dating for a month and he was invested and he got the vibe she was too. Her birthday night sealed the deal.

“Yo,” Kyree spoke into his phone.

“I’ll be there in ten minutes. What’s good?” his brother asked. He’d text him to meet him there because he needed a ride back to Tessah’s. Also, because his brother had more sense than he did.

“I’ll explain when you get here. Hurry the fuck up though because if dude says something off brand out his mouth, I can’t predict what I might do.”

Quint kissed his teeth. “Well, don’t knock niggas out without me.”

  Kyree shook his he
ad and ended the call. His baby brother was the more rational one of them but he also had trained hands. Quint had been boxing since he was a teen and introduced Kyree to it over the last year after they’d opened their boxing gym.

Kyree stood outside the car contemplating if he wanted to take the higher road and drop the keys at the front desk or confront him. However, as if God answered the question for him, Caiden strolled out of his practice. He remembered the sucker ass dude. His blood simmered.

“Caiden, right?” Kyree approached him. The moment he zoned in on Kyree, recognition flashed in his eyes. “I came to give this back.” He tossed the keys at him.

Caiden caught them and eyed them before letting off a laugh. “You’re the young nigga she’s dating, huh?”

“The same one who checked you when you put your hands on her.”

Caiden’s demeanor tensed. “No need for all the hostility. I get the pussy good but ain’t no beef between us.”

  Kyree flinched. “Watch ya mouth.”

“I ain’t gotta do anything. You brought your ass to my place of business - where my wife is - over someone who is ungrateful.” His wife? “I invested a lot in Tessah and I’m not done with her until I say.”

Kyree’s veins popped out of his neck. “Well make that shit right now because I’m going to say this once — stay the hell away from Tessah or I guarantee the next time you see me it’ll be a lot less talking.”

“I don’t enjoy being threatened. Don’t let the money fool you.”

“And I don’t like bitch ass men who put their hands on women, so I guess we’re even.”

Caiden nodded and turned the sides of his mouth down. “You know what, you can have your hoe there’s more—”

Kyree’s fist swung into his jaw, knocking Caiden into the wall. Kyree squared up, giving Caiden fair opportunity but before he could retaliate a beautiful Hispanic woman rushed out the building. Her name tag read Dr. E. Langston. The wife.

“Babe, what is going on out here?” She addressed them as Kyree spotted Quint’s truck speeding into the parking lot. “Leave before I call the cops.”
