Rock eased his finger out of her, and she felt him move then heard the sound of a door opening.
“Where’d he go?” she whispered to River, not wanting to ruin the moment, but wanting all of the men with her.
“He’s going to clean up and be right back,” River told her quietly.
Rock returned with a warm cloth. “I’m going to wipe the lube off now,” he said into her ear as he moved her hair and placed a biting kiss on the nape of her neck.
Angie leaned back against his warm hard chest and looked up at him. “Thank you for taking care of me.”
“It’s our pleasure. This is just the beginning. We want more. When you’re ready we all want you, together.”
“I’d like that,” Angie answered softly.
Chapter Six
Angela thought she heard a knock on the door. There it is again. “Wait! Wait! There’s someone at the door,” she said, frantically grabbing for her clothes. Shit!
“Calm down, honey. No one will come in. We locked the door.” Hunter grabbed his shirt and pulled it over his head, then stood up and walked over to the door. The others helped Angela get her clothes straight and moved her down to sit on the couch beside River.
“Hunter will deal with them. Relax. He won’t let anyone in.” River and Rock started buttoning up their shirts, and Sawyer was turning his right side out before putting it on.
“Do you want a drink of water or something? Dad usually keeps the fridge in here stocked. He doesn’t use it very often anymore, but when we are all home sometimes someone will sneak in here for some privacy.” Sawyer walked over to a small fridge and grabbed a couple of waters and some cans of soda.
He handed the sodas to River and Rock and opened a bottle of water before handing it to Angela. “Thank you,” Angela said and took a long drink from the bottle.
Hunter shut the door and walked over to Angela. “Todd was playing in the barn with the other kids and fell out of the loft. He landed in a pile of hay and isn’t hurt as far as Felicia and Evelyn could tell, but he’s very upset and they can’t calm him down. I told them you would be out in a few minutes.”
Rock reached for her hand and pulled her to a little room off to the side. “You can clean up in here. I think the girls have some brushes and stuff for your hair. We’ll be waiting. Don’t rush.”
“He’s upset, but not hurt. The girls and other kids are with him. He’ll be fine until you’re ready,” Hunter reassured her.
“Okay.” Angela was trying to process everything and get her body under control.
“Wait,” she called to Rock, “my panties. I need my underwear.”
Rock strode back to the door she was peeking out of. “No one will know but you and us. I think I’ll keep them as a memory of this afternoon.” And then he walked away.
Angie didn’t know whether to be infuriated, laugh, or smile because he wanted to keep them. A part of her wondered how much further things would have gone if they hadn’t been interrupted. She found a hairbrush and ran it through her hair and held a cold wet cloth to her face for a minute until she felt a little calmer. One final check in the mirror and things looked as good as they could. She still had the look of a well-fucked woman, but she couldn’t do anything to change that or the smile that came to her face as she thought about what had just happened.
She was sure everyone would know what had been happening and was embarrassed but needed to get to Todd. He had panic attacks, and sometimes it was hard to calm him down.
She opened the door and stepped out into the main room. “I’m ready.”
Rock walked up to her first and pulled her into his arms. “Hold up a minute. We all want to talk. Are you okay with what was happening here?”
“I liked it,” Angela answered shyly.
“Would you be comfortable maybe going further another time?” Hunter had walked over and joined them, and began trailing his fingers over the bare skin of her back.
“Yeah, I would. I’d like that,” Angela answered with a blush. She really wasn’t comfortable talking about things like that.
“Good. River and Sawyer went on out to the barn to check on Todd. Let’s go join them.” Rock took her hand and led her out of the building.
Angela expected to see some of the family standing outside the door waiting for them, but there was no one around. There was a group of children playing in the yard and a few people sitting and watching them. Rock continued to hold her hand and led her around another building.
“Todd’s in here.” He led her into a huge building. It wasn’t what Angela expected a barn to be. It was more like an indoor playground. There were several areas filled with toys, swings, a climbing wall that led to the loft, and several other things for the children to play with.
“Mom and Dad set this up when we were younger. They keep it updated and add more every time a grandchild is born. It’s a great place for the kids to play. They make it as safe as they can.”
She saw a couple of women kneeling on the ground. She’d seen them earlier, but there were so many people she didn’t remember their names.
“This is Felicia and Evelyn,” River said. Rock and Hunter were standing with them.
Evelyn stood and pulled Angie in for a hug. “He was on the climbing wall and did great. When he got to the top he lost his balance while he was standing in the loft. He landed in this pile of hay. Dad has a six-inch foam cushion under the layer of hay, so he didn’t get hurt, just scared. My Dustin was the same way the first time he fell. Now he jumps off.” She let Angie go and turned her to Todd.
“Angie,” Todd cried, his voice breaking.
Angie ran the few steps between her and the young boy. “I’m here, honey.” She dropped to her knees and pulled Todd into her arms. “Tell me what happened.”
Felicia and Evelyn moved away and were talking softly to River, Rock, Hunter, and Sawyer. They all moved a few steps farther away but stayed close enough that if Angela or Todd needed them they would hear them.
“Angie, I fell.” Todd was still sniffling, and his face was covered with tears. A wad of tissues was pressed into her hand, and she wiped his face.
“I heard. Does anything hurt, honey?” Angela was running her hands over Todd’s little body.
“Not really. I was more scared than anything.” Todd was starting to calm down. As his panic attacks went, this had been a mild one.
“Here,” a voice said over her shoulder, and a bottle of water appeared in her vision.
“Thank you,” Angie said. She took the pre-loosened lid off the bottle and held it to Todd’s mouth, letting him drink some. Then she poured a little on the wad of tissues and cleansed his face and hands. “Does that feel better, honey?”
“Uhuh,” Todd answered and nodded his little head yes.
“Good. Do you want to stay and play some more, or would you like to go home?” Angela asked, holding him tight on her lap and rocking him.
Someone had brought the puppies into the area, and they were crawling all over her and Todd, licking his face and making him smile.
“Can we go home?” he asked his voice very quiet.
“Yes. We can go home.” Angie pulled him closer and tried to stand while holding him.
“Here, let me help. Okay if I hold you while Angela gets up?” Rock asked, reaching his arms for Todd.
Todd looked at Angie and nodded then put his arms around Rock’s neck. “Can I come back another day?”
Angie looked at the nodding men and answered, “Sure. We’ll come back another time.”
A little boy about Todd’s age ran up to them. “Is he all better now?”
“This is Felicia’s son, Dustin,” Hunter said as he walked up behind the boy and put his hands over his shoulders.
“Are you better, Todd?” Dustin asked again.
Felicia came up and knelt down to Dustin’s level. “Honey, he’s not feeling so good right now. I’m sure he can come play another time. I’ll get Angie’s number, and maybe you and Todd can have a sle
epover next weekend. Would that be okay?” Felicia was speaking with Dustin, but her gaze met Angie’s and she smiled at Angie’s slight nod.
Dustin told his mom okay, and Felicia led him off. Rock held Todd with one hand and held the other out to help Angie up. “Come on, let’s get you two home.”
River took Angela’s other hand, and Sawyer and Hunter followed behind them. They stopped long enough for Angela to thank their parents and say good-bye to everyone. Then the men helped them get in the car. Angela sat in the back so she could be close to Todd, and Rock sat with them.
She noticed they were taking a different route home, but didn’t say anything until they pulled up in front of a large house. Sawyer had been driving. He turned the car into the long driveway that was lined with trees. As they got closer to the house Angela could see it was similar in design to her house, only on a larger scale.
“Where are we?” Todd asked, looking around. Rock had picked him up and was waiting for Angela to come around to their side of the car
“This is our house,” Rock said and opened his door, then turned to help Todd out of the booster seat. River was at Angela’s door helping her.
“We built it,” Hunter said proudly.
“You did! Wow!” Todd said, wiggling to get down. He grabbed the puppies’ leads and started off to the steps of the house.
River took Angela by the hand and led her behind Todd. “Come on, beautiful. We want to show you inside.”
“But Todd…” Angela started to protest.
“Todd is doing fine,” Hunter said.
“We won’t stay long. We just want to show you around a little, and then we’ll take you home. If Todd starts to get tired, we’ll leave, but he’s doing fine right now.”
It was true. Todd had dozed on the way to the house, and he was acting fine now, running and playing with the pups. There was no reason she couldn’t go look at the house with the men. And she wanted to. She really did. She hoped seeing the inside of their house would give her a little insight into their personalities, and she could learn a little more about them.
Angie let River lead her into the house. She could hear Todd running from room to room with the puppies at his heels. “Todd, slow down,” she called automatically when she heard him.
“He’s fine. He can’t hurt anything in this house. Four big clumsy men live here, and one little boy can’t be any worse than the four of us,” Rock said from behind her.
Angie gave a little laugh and continued walking into the house. “I guess you’re right, but you haven’t seen him at his worst.”
“Don’t worry about it. If he would happen to break something, we’ll replace it. Come on. I want to show you upstairs first, then we’ll show you down here.” Hunter slid one arm around her and rested his hand in the small of her back, leading her up the stairs with Rock and River behind them. At the top of the stairs, the hall led left and right.
“We’ll go this way first,” Rock said, moving around in front of her.
“Todd?” Angie said, looking down the stairs.
“Sawyer will stay with him and the puppies. We won’t be up here long,” River said from behind her.
Rock led the way down the hall, passing several doors as he went. “These are all guest rooms right now. Eventually, we would like to marry and have children, but they can stay guest rooms if that doesn’t happen.” He opened a couple of doors so she could see inside. The rooms were fully furnished with beds and everything a bedroom needed. It must have cost a fortune. Angie remembered how much it cost just getting beds for her and Todd, let alone guest rooms. Not that they had room for any guests in the small house she’d bought.
“Down here is the mistress suite and our rooms,” Hunter said, leading the way down the other hall.
“Mistress suite?” Angie asked. “I’ve heard of master suites, but not a mistress.”
Rock went ahead of them again and started opening doors. Each room was decorated a little different some with dark woods and some lighter.
“When we built the house we each designed our own room,” River said, stepping inside one of the rooms. “This is mine. Rock is across the hall, Hunter is next door, and Sawyer is across from him.”
Rock and Hunter each stood just inside their rooms. River walked out of his room and down to the end of the hall. “This is the mistress suite for our wife. We wanted a place we could all share with her if that was what she wanted or she could spend some time alone if she needed. That’s why we call it the mistress suite.”
“We hope she likes it when we find her. We let Mom pick out most of the furnishings for now, but they can be changed to suit our wife when the time comes,” Sawyer said behind her.
“Where’s Todd?” Angie asked when she saw Sawyer was alone.
“He and the puppies are watching a movie in the media room for now. He’ll be fine for a few minutes,” Sawyer answered and followed Angie.
Angie walked into the huge room. It was as big as all of her house. The first thing she saw was the huge bed. It had to be as big as two king-size beds put together. She’d never seen a bed that big in her life. There was a small sitting area facing two french doors that led out to a huge balcony with a small table and chairs. On one wall was a huge fireplace under a television mounted on the wall. There was a small fridge along one wall and another table with a coffee maker, a hot water pot, and a small cabinet which Rock opened to show several varieties of tea, coffee, and a few snacks. Someone could hide up here for days if they wanted to.
River was standing inside the biggest bathroom she had ever seen. It was easily half the size of the bedroom. There was a large sunken tub, a room-sized shower enclosure, a wall with five sinks and cabinets below. A huge floor-to-ceiling mirror took up most of one wall. There were plants everywhere, and the room had a tropical feel.
“This is amazing!” Angie looked around, not sure what she liked the best. “You have everything a woman could want in here.”
“We tried.” Hunter sat on the edge of the bed and patted the space next to him for Angie to sit beside him. “Everything in this room can be changed if our lady doesn’t like it. We’ve been looking, and we even found a bigger bed we can put in here if she wants it.”
“Why would she want a bigger bed?” Angie sat on the side of the bed, and there was no way she’d be able to reach the other side without crawling across or getting up and walking around.
“When we all lie down, it gets a little crowded, and we thought she might want more room,” River said, and the guys all lay side by side on the bed, showing Angie how crowded it could get.
“Oh. I see. Well, maybe she’ll like cuddling.” She didn’t want them to think she would want something bigger if it ever came to the point where she might move in.
“That’s nothing we have to decide now,” Rock said, sitting on the other side of her. He laid one hand on her thigh and squeezed. “I’m really sorry we didn’t have more time to spend with you today.”
“I am, too,” Angela replied softly. “Maybe we can plan another time. If I can find someone Todd can stay with.”
“I think we can arrange that. Before he got tired and fell, he was doing fine with Felicia’s and Evelyn’s boys. I’m sure he could stay with either of them if you liked,” Hunter said, kneeling down in front of her.
“That sounds like a good idea. I’ll have to talk to Todd and see what he thinks. He’s never spent much time away from me except for while he’s at school. I don’t know if he’d want to go or not.” Angie looked at the guys. She wanted to spend more time with them but didn’t know how to say so without sounding needy.
“That’s fine. We want Todd to be comfortable so you can focus on us and not worry about him. We want to get to know both of you better and spend time with both of you,” Sawyer said, walking toward the door. “I’m going to run down and check on Todd real fast. If he’s doing okay, I’ll come back up.”
Sawyer disappeared out the door, and she heard his feet hittin
g the stairs. River leaned over and lifted her chin with one finger. “We will always, always make sure you and Todd are taken care of. Even though it’s only been a short time, you’ve both come to mean a lot to us.”
They talked for a few minutes, and then Sawyer came, carrying Todd on his hip. “Angie, can we go home now? The puppies are tired,” Todd asked, yawning and reaching for her.
“Sure, honey. We can go anytime you want to.” She looked at the guys and smiled. She really wasn’t ready for the day to be over, but Todd had to come first.
They were all quiet on the ride home, and Angie made a decision. It was time to tell them about her and Todd’s history. Maybe then they would understand why he was so needy.
Chapter Seven
Angela was quiet on the way back to her house. Todd was leaning against her, and she had one arm around him, cuddling his little body with hers. By the time they made it to her house, he was sound asleep.
“I’ll carry him in for you, honey,” Rock said, helping Angie out and reaching in to get Todd.
“Thank you,” she said quietly. It had been a long day, and like Todd, she was ready for some rest.
Rock carried Todd while River and the others walked Angela to the house. Rock started up the steps and stopped. “You locked the door when we left, didn’t you?”
“Yes,” Angie answered, pushing around the men to get in front and see what was going on. River stopped her and handed her to Sawyer. Rock handed Todd to Hunter.
“The door’s open. I want to go in and make sure it’s safe. Take her and Todd back to the car while Hunter and I check it out.” Rock watched while Sawyer and Hunter put Angela and Todd back in the car. Once he knew they were safe he turned to River. “See how the door isn’t shut? I know we shut and locked it when we left. Here’s the plan.”
River walked loudly up the stairs, making as much noise as he could. He knew one of his brothers was in the car calling the police. He wanted to catch whoever was in the house if they were still there, and he wanted them to know he was coming.
