  Chapter Thirty-Seven

  Blaze

I reach for Ella, but she’s not there, and I look up not seeing her anywhere “Ella” I call out with no reply. “Damn it” I get up and dress fast and head down to the kitchen where I find her makin’ breakfast

“Ohhh, Ella you look like you’re in trouble,” Cookie says, and she turns around, I crook my finger at her, calling her to me and she puts the bowl down and walks over to me, and I pull her out of the room. I wanted to talk to her to make sure she was okay about what we did last night, and I pull her into one of the empty rooms and push her up against the door lookin’ down at my shirt.

“I like this on you,” I tell her and she smiles

  “You do,” I nod

“I’d prefer you naked, but this is just as good.”

“Naked” she blushes, and I smile

“Fuck yes baby, naked is always better,” she laughs, but I stare at her holding her face in my hands so she can look at me and tell me the truth. “Did you like what we did last night?” I ask her, and she bites her lip nodding her head “Words baby.”

“Yes, I liked what we did last night” I lean in and lick her lips

“I liked fuckin’ your ass,” I tell her and the blush spreads up her chest to her neck

“I liked it too,” she tells me, and the worry I had disappears

  “You did?” she nods

“I did” not wanting to embarrass her anymore, I change the subject now that I know she was ok with it

“You weren’t in bed this morning?”

“I was going to bring you breakfast in bed,” she tells me, and I lean down and suck her neck

  “You were makin’ me breakfast?”

“Yeah, but then Cookie wanted breakfast too, and Widow was sick,” she tells me

“Widow was sick?” she nods. “She ok?” I ask her, and she nods again

  “Yeah, she’s fine.”

  “She’s fine,” she nods

“Yes,” I look down at her my dick gettin’ hard

“Fuck, I want you so much,” I tell her and she smiles

“Well, it can wait until after breakfast” I kiss her on the nose and open the door and follow her back to the kitchen, as we walk back in she goes to the stove, and I slap Cookie on the back of the head

“Ow, what the fuck was that for?”

“Get your own fuckin’ women to cook you breakfast,” I tell him for the second time

  “She offered,” he tells me

“After you begged like a bitch,” Widow says, and I look at her noticing her pink blouse, and she frowns at me. “Don’t say a word,” she says, and I smile

“You ok?” I ask her, and she looks at Ella

  “I’m good.”

“Nervous about today?” I ask her, and she frowns

“Why the fuck would I be nervous, it’s not like it’s a real fuckin’ job I’m undercover.”

  “I know, it’s just”

“I’m fine,” she tells me, and Scythe looks at me than Widow

“What the fuck is going on?” he asks, and I look at her, and she shrugs her shoulders

“Nothing,” she says as Ella passes me a coffee

“Scythe, do you want some breakfast?” Ella asks him, and I growl, but she pushes me

“No darlin’ I ate already, but thanks,” he stands up pulling Widow out the door with him

“What the fuck was that about?” Cookie asks, and I look at Ella

“No idea,” she says going back over to the stove.

After breakfast Widow gets ready to leave and I watch her and Ella talkin’, I turn and look at Scythe “she ok?” I ask him, and he smiles

  “Yep, she’s fine.”

“Why was she sick?” I ask

“Morning sickness,” he says, and I look at him than Widow

“She’s pregnant?” he nods, smiling “You happy?”

“Man, I plan on knocking that woman up for the next ten years,” he tells me, and I laugh

  “You want another ten kids.”

“Fuck man, I’d have fifty kids with her,” he says, and I look at Ella, the amount of unprotected sex we’ve been having maybe she could be pregnant.

“How long do you have to wait until you find out a women’s pregnant?” I ask him, and he looks at me

“You been fuckin’ Ella with a rubber?” I shake my head, and he laughs. “Man she could be knocked up to” at the thought, I smile, and Scythe laughs. “Fuck man, it’s that serious?” he asks me, and I look at him again

“She consumes me, man, I think about her night and day,” he laughs slappin’ me on the back

“You tell her you love her yet” I nod. “Fuck, were droppin’ like flies,” he says, and we both laugh as Cookie comes walkin’ in with Bliss and Lila

“Hi Blaze,” Bliss says, and I notice Ella and Widow staring at us (if looks could kill)

“Ok, Widow is going to give me a lift to work,” she says, and I notice tension in her stance

“You ok?” I ask her, and she smiles

“Yep see you later,” she says and walks off, and I frown at her coldness as Widow comes up and kisses Scythe

“Be good and safe,” he tells her, and she smiles, pullin’ a gun out of her bag

“Always,” she says walkin’ off, but I stop her, and she looks at my arm, and I pull away fast

“Sorry,” I tell her, and she smiles

“All good brother” she goes to walk off, but I stop her this time without touching her

“Widow” she turns and looks at me “What’s up with Ella?” I ask her, and she looks at Bliss

“Ask your whore,” she says, walking off and I turn back and look at Lila and Bliss

“What the fuck is she talkin’ about?” I ask both women, and both step back, but Lila holds her hands up

“Don’t look at me, I like Ella,” and I look at Bliss

“Well?” I ask her, she shrugs her shoulder

  “Nothing,” she says

“Talk now bitch,” I tell her standin’ up gettin’ fucked off

“It’s nothing” I go to reach for her, and she screams as Razor comes out and looks at us all

“What the fuck is goin’ on?”

“Razor, Blaze was gonna hurt me,” she says holdin’ onto his arm

“Why?” he asks me my hand itchin’ to kill the bitch

“Ask her,” I tell him and he looks at Bliss

  “Well?”

“I just warned her that’s all.”

  “Who?”

“Ella” Razor’s face darkens as he looks at Bliss grabbin’ her by the neck and pullin’ her to him and he whispers something in her ear, and she nods looking scared and he lets her go, and she rubs her neck, tears in her eyes

“Go to your room,” he tells her and she walks off down the hall. “Aren’t you fuckers supposed to be finding a motherfucking imposter, NOW MOVE YOUR ASSSES, NO ONE MAKES A FOOL OUT OF THE DEVILS SOLDIERS, FUCKIN’ NO ONE!” he yells slamming his door

“Damn, haven’t seen that side of boss man in years,” Cookie says, and we look at him

“Yeah, let’s move before he gets Bella Mae out,” I tell them and we all head out to our bikes.

  Chapter Thirty-Eight

  Ella

The moment I saw that bitch staring at Blaze like she wanted to eat him I knew I had to get out of there, the hurt in his eyes as I closed down was for me not him. The years living with an abusive person tearing you down at every turn, making you feel worthless takes its toll, you never really recovering just learning to cope with it. Something that has been hard for me and with the stress of losing Brayden, just compiling onto the shit heap, I burst into tears as we drive to the florist shop and Widow pulls over, and I feel stupid for crying

“Hey,” she says, and I look at her “don’t let those bitches get to you” I nod, knowing in truth that Blaze didn’t do anything but knowing he’s been with her still stings a little

  “It’s not just
the whores, it's just everything you know.”

  “Like what?”

“Brayden, my ex, life, just everything,” I tell her

“Aren’t you going to stay?” I look at her (I could never leave now Brayden’s here) I shake my head, and she frowns

“No, I mean I’m staying, I’m just so frigging emotional, and it’s just getting to me.”

“You sound pregnant too,” she says, and I look at her. “You’re not are you?” she asks me, and I shake my head, but a little doubt creeps in

“We have been having a lot, and I mean a lot of unprotected sex,” I tell her, and she laughs

“That’s how Mason was born,” she tells me, and I smile

“He’s so cute,” I tell her, and she smiles even more

“He’s deafeningly a light, so do you think you're pregnant?” she asks, and I shrug

  “I don’t know.”

“Do you want to go to the pharmacy?” I shake my head at her terrified, and she laughs. “Alright, well let’s get to work,” she pulls back out into the traffic and stops in front of the florist shop “This place really needs a new coat of paint,” she tells me, and I look up at the faded sign and nod

“I’ll suggest it to Gladis,” I tell her, and she nods

“You need a ride home?” she asks, and I shake my head

  “No, I’ll be good.”

“Ok, see ya later,” she tells me

“You have a good day to Widow and remember to have small snacks, plenty of water and don’t skip lunch” she laughs

  “Yes, mom, I will.”

  *

The day goes by pretty fast, and I decide to walk home, as I get to the end of the road I should be going left, but I find myself turning right. I walk really with no destination in mind, but end up at the cemetery, as I walk through the graveyard I see a figure in the private area and make my way over. As I get closer I see a guy standing in front of a grave, and I walk in through the gates, and he turns looking at me his dark almost black eyes turn and look at me.

“Hi,” I say, but he just stares at me, I feel uneasy as he walks past me the smell of weed following his trail and he walks out not saying one word, and I notice a beat up old car. I watch him drive away a creepy feeling coming over me, and I turn back to my brother’s grave and notice fresh flowers on both Brayden and Gunner’s graves and a seat under the tree. I look around for anyone else but don’t see anyone, not even Mac so I go and sit on the seat staring up at the sky.

“I really miss you Bray, you and Grammy, I hope you're both happy where ever you both are” tears come to my eyes again, but I hold them back, I watch as the sky slowly darkens, and I look at my watch. “Shit,” I scold myself not realizing that it’s almost eight “Damn summer nights” the rumble of pipes has me sitting up straighter as Blaze comes walking up a relieved look on his face

“Jesus fuckin’ christ Ella, you’ve had me so fuckin’ worried,” he tells me, and I look at him sheepishly biting my lip

“I’m sorry, I didn’t realize the time,” he sits down next to me pulling me to him

“You like the seat?” he says, and I look at him

  “You did this?” he nods

“Yeah baby, I knew you liked comin’ here to see Chance, and I wanted you to be comfortable.”

“You did this for me?” I ask him, and he smiles

“Only for you,” he says, and I look up at him and pull him to me

“Kiss me,” I tell him and he smiles

“Forever,” he says, and he holds me to him kissing me so softly, and I feel it in my soul (this is the man for me my other half).

“Marry me,” I ask him, and he looks at me confused

  “What?”

“Marry me,” I ask him again, and he laughs lifting me up, so I’m straddling his legs

  “When?” he asks me

“Now,” I tell him not wanting to waste another minute, and he stands up fast, and I squeal, but he holds me tight walking to his bike. “Where are we going?” I ask him

“To get married,” he tells me, and I smile

He rides to the nearest airport, and I look at him “Where are we going now?”

“Las Vegas,” he says, and I laugh

  “Right now,”

“Yep, there’s no fuckin’ chance in hell I’m lettin’ you change your mind,” he tells me as he pulls out his wallet and pays for two tickets to Vegas.

  *

It takes just under six hours to fly to Vegas, and by the time we arrive its early in the morning, but it’s still busy. As we walk through the terminal a loud whistle can be heard, and Blaze nods his head “Come on baby,” he says, pulling me with him and I watch as three huge bikers all stand there, and they hug Blaze

“So, this your women?” one of them asks, and I remember him, and Julia pops into my head, and then it comes to me, he was the one that cheated at the wake for Brayden

“Boys you all met Ella, Chance’s sister,” he introduces me and they all nod

“How ya been darlin’?” he asks me, and I nod

“Good, how’s Julia?” I ask him, and the two behind him laugh, and he spins around growling at them but turns back to look at us

“She’s good,” he says through gritted teeth and the other two laughs

“What’s so funny?” Blaze asks them, and one of them comes up and places his arm over the guy's shoulders

“Little Julia was all sweet and shit when we got home, then when this fucker fell asleep, she superglued his dick and balls to his leg, was in the hospital for two days” they all laugh as he growls

“Fuckin’ hurt like shit,” he tells us, and I bite my lip, trying not to laugh but Blaze doesn’t

“Yeah, but you love the crazy bitch, and she forgave you for cheatin’ on her,” one of them says, and he smiles lookin’ at me

“She’s good darlin’ all good,” he tells me

“So, take me to the nearest chapel boys were getting married,” Blaze tells them and they all smile

“What? Right now, thought we’d go for a drink first.”

“No fuckin’ way am I givin’ her a chance to change her mind,” he tells them and they all smile

“Well then, let’s go.” As we walk out of the airport, four huge bikes sit there and a skinny guy watching them, when he sees us he nods walking off to a van

“Hop on baby” Blaze tells me, and I climb on behind him and hold on tight as Blaze takes off after the other three.

  Chapter Thirty-Nine

  Blaze

When she didn’t come by five and Widow walked in I waited for her to walk in but she didn’t, I rang her phone, but it went straight to voicemail “God dammit Ella” I whisper to myself and start to pace when Widow comes out of Razor’s office

“You not pick Ella up?” I ask her, and she shakes her head

“No, said she didn’t need the lift” I walk out to my bike and take off to the florist. As I walk in the old women is standin’ behind the counter, and she smiles up at me

“Good evening what can I get for you?” she asks

“Ella in,” I ask her, and she shakes her head

“No, I’m sorry she left a few hours ago,” she tells me and panic sets in

“Hours,” I ask her, and she looks at the clock

  “Yes, she left at five.”

“Thanks,” I head back out to my bike and look down the road, Chance pops into my mind, and I make my way to the cemetery for the second time today. A few of the boys and I come out and cleaned up, and I’d brought a chair for Ella whenever she comes to see Chance. As I pull up, I see her sittin’ on the seat, and I smile but feel angry. “Jesus fuckin’ christ Ella, you’ve had me so fuckin’ worried,” she looks up at me biting her lip

“I’m sorry I didn’t realize the time,” she tells me, and I sit next to her pullin’ her to me, taking in her floral scent and it calms me all the worry ebbing away

“You like the seat?” I ask her, and she looks at me

“You did this?” she asks, and I nod

“Yeah baby, I knew you liked comin’ here to see Chance, and I wanted you to be comfortable,” I tell her hatin’ her layin’ on the ground lookin’ up like a dead person, creeps me the fuck out

“You did this for me?” she asks me, and I smile (I’d do anything for her)

“Only for you,” I tell her meaning every fuckin’ word

“Kiss me,” she says, and I smile more (fuck I love this woman)

“Forever,” I tell her and mean it, she’s mine until I take my last breath and they lay me to rest with the rest of the brothers

“Marry me,” she says, and I’m not sure I heard her correctly

  “What?”

“Marry me,” she says again, and I lift her up, so she’s straddling my legs

  “When?” I ask her

“Now,” she says, and I stand, and she squeals as I walk to my bike. “Where are we going?” she asks me

“To get married,” I tell her needin' to do it before she changes her mind. I ride to the nearest airport and buy two tickets to Vegas “where are we going?” she asks me confused

“Las Vegas,” I tell her, and she laughs

  “Right now,”

“Yep, there’s no fuckin’ chance in hell I’m lettin’ you change your mind.” As we sit and wait, I head to the bathroom and call the boys in Vegas lettin’ them know we're comin’ and I need picked up, I also call Razor tellin’ him what I was doing so he doesn’t shoot me for goin’ AWOL.

  *

I hold her hand the whole time never wanting to let her go. As the plane lands my heart is pounding, never thought in a million years I’d be rushin’ to a chapel to marry a woman. As we walk through the terminal, a loud whistle has me turnin’, and I see Black Jack, Pappy, and King all standin’ there.

“Come on baby,” I tell her holding her hand still, the boys all give me a hug and look at Ella

“So, this your women?” Black Jack asks me, and I nod

“Boys, you all met Ella, Chance’s sister,” I tell them and they all nod

“How ya been darlin’?” Black Jack asks her

“Good, how’s Julia?” she asks him, and King and Pappy laugh, and he spins around growlin’ at them
