“You don’t look so good,” he said adjusting his glasses.

“It’s all my fault,” Natasha began blaming herself.

“What’s your fault,” he asked her clueless.

“I tried to intervene, I should have just let them beat him up that jerk won’t even listen to me now,” she said angrily.

“You did the right thing they were thugs don’t forget that, Mathew would have beaten them anyway…..he is so cool!” he said remembering the fight. “I was there you know,” he added.

“And he is in prison for that while those thugs got out,” she said suddenly.

“Wait what? No wonder no one saw him for days…. everyone was worried where he disappeared,” Rithesh said taking out his phone.

“Is he still in prison? Did no one bail him out?” he asked her.

“My dad froze my accounts while Sakshi and Sachin turned their backs on me,” she said fuming. “And now he is suffering in that cold dark prison because of me,” she began to sob. “Its always the same thing, someone else suffers because of my stupidity……I am such an idiot,” she said amid tears.

“Hmm…I think I can help you,” he said thinking.

“What! Really you…. you can bail him out?” she asked grabbing his shirt.

“Not really,” he said freeing himself from her grasp.

“I knew it……. no one wants to help me,” and she cried so loudly that the librarian had to come to take a look.

“Wait that’s not what I meant calm down okay?” he said trying to console her.

“Lair!” she screamed and began beating him with the book he borrowed from the library.

“Wait…..I meant…..we all…….Ah! Will help ouch! That hurt!” he said amidst the beatings.

“What's going on here,” the librarian came running.

“Don’t worry she is fine its nothing,” he said taking the book from her.

“Give me that…no more books for you till the end of this year,” said the librarian grabbing the book.

  “Bu…bu…bu….but,” he stammered.

“Forget that how can you guys help?” she asked turning his face towards her.

“Well….we can all contribute together I mean he is a hero now among the students after what he did, I mean do you know how famous he is now?” he asked.

“Really? You mean it?” she asked in disbelief.

“Yup do you know how many students there are here in this college? If we all donate we can bail him out easy,” he assured her.

  “Then do it,” she commanded.

“Give me a 2 days and we will collect the money,” he told her and she hugged him tightly with all her strength.

“We’ll get you out Mathew,” she thought feeling relieved.

Sakshi was sitting in the class worried what to do. “Damn! What if Sunil calls me again what am I gonna do?” she wondered.

Getting him out on bail and then handing him over to Sunil would mean she will have some explaining to do if he disappears suddenly the cops would come after her. If she ignored his request then Sunil will come after her with his gang of thugs, she was being squashed in the middle.

Just then Rithesh came in the class “Excuse me can I have everyone’s attention please?” he said shouting at the top of his voice in the noisy classroom.

“Hello! I have an important announcement to make!” he shouted again still no one listened. “I forgot I don’t exist to them,” he thought disappointed.

  Natasha taped his shoulder.

“It will be a bit difficult this way maybe we should do this using social media,” he said to her.

“We will later, but right now lets do it the old fashioned way!” she said and gave out a shriek.

The piercing cry cut through the noise and everyone suddenly stopped and stared at them in surprise.

“Hey are you okay?” one of the guys asked.

“I just needed your attention,” Natasha told him.

“Natasha? What’s going on,” Sakshi asked coming forward.

“Mathew is in prison and I need your help to bail him out,” Natasha said.

“In prison for what? Saving you from those thugs? That’s outrageous,” said a girl.

“You know what’s more outrageous? Those thugs are roaming free on bail! While he got abandoned by his own friend,” she said looking at Sakshi.

“Wait aren’t you his friend?” someone asked.

“Well ya kind of but….I don’t have any money to bail him so I came to you guys for help, I mean that’s not abandoning someone right?” she said trying to tackle the question.

“Didn’t your parents offer help? I mean he saved you after all,” asked one of her classmates.

“We’ll lets not get distracted, Sakshi are you ready to help him out?” she asked Sakshi trying to avoid an answer.

“Ya yeah!” said Sakshi feeling awkward and everyone cheered.

“Phew! They almost got me….nosy people,” Natasha thought.

“Do you know what you just did?” Sakshi asked after everyone left the room to spread the news.

“I found a way to bail him out! At least I didn’t abandon him like you did,” Natasha said glaring at Sakshi.

“There is a group of armed gang members looking for him right now and they will come after him now once he comes out of prison,” Sakshi explained to her.

She didn’t wanna tell her that, but had now she had no choice.

  “What!” Natasha asked in shock.

“Did he call gangsters now?” she asked referring to Vijay.

“Nope its something else,” Sakshi replied.

“What happened? Tell me,” she urged Sakshi.

“You won’t like it,” Sakshi warned her.

  “I don’t care,” Natasha said.

And so Sakshi explained to her in detail all she heard from Sunil.

“It’s not true,” Natasha said in disbelief.

She felt a pain in her chest and held her hand against it.

“Well believe it or not they will come for him,” Sakshi said.

“Well its all your fault,” Natasha said pointing her finger at Sakshi’s nose.

“My fault how’s that!” she asked outraged.

“If you hadn’t been sniffing around Rahil wouldn’t have contacted them in the first place and they wouldn’t have come,” Natasha explained.

“Well……how would I know that he was gonna call them I just asked him to gather information,” Sakshi said defending her actions.

“You shouldn’t have bothered, it was none of your business what he did in the past doesn’t matter anymore,” Natasha scolded her.

“He is a murderer!” Sakshi said louder.

“That guy’s lying Mathew would never do something like that,” Natasha said having full faith in him.

“Well lets ask him ourselves then,” Sakshi said angrily.

“Fine!” Natasha replied and they agreed grudgingly.

  Meet The Bad Guys

Sakshi and Natasha were waiting along with some students as he got out of prison, they even planned a party to celebrate his return.

“You missed me already?” he asked Natasha.

“I am so sorry you had to suffer so much because of me,” Natasha said.

“Sakshi you never met me in prison not once,” Mathew said looking at her.

“Do I look like your girlfriend? I couldn’t care less,” Sakshi said grumpy.

  “What’s wrong?” he asked Sakshi.

“I met your criminal friends, they are waiting for you,” Sakshi replied.

“Don’t listen to her we will figure it out later,” Natasha said intervening.

“I can’t keep running forever,” Mathew said.

“Don’t go they have guns?” Natasha pleaded.

“They wont kill me,” Mathew assured her.

“But what if they—” Natasha was looking worried.

“They would have killed me a long time ago if they wanted to,” Mathew explain
ed.

“Then I’m coming with you,” Natasha told him firmly.

“No your not,” Mathew said firmly.

“You cant stop me,” she said.

“Its my life and my problem I have to do this alone,” he explained.

“Your not alone anymore we are all into this,” she said.

“Fine! Just promise me you wont do anything stupid,” he advised her.

“Pinky promise!” she said showing her pinky finger and Mathew chuckled at that.

“Sakshi take me to them,” he said to her.

“I’ll let them know your coming and your driving,” Sakshi replied taking out her phone.

Mathew along with Sakshi and Natasha arrived at the construction site.

“Well I thought you would never come,” Sunil said removing his sunglasses.

“You haven’t changed a bit have you?” he asked Sunil.

“This time you aren’t gonna run away your coming with us,” he said gesturing his armed men forward.

“I am not coming I can’t spend my life like this…….killing and ruining other people’s lives,” said Mathew looking down.

“Since when did you care so much about them?” he asked.

“Since the day I killed Marvin…..then Suhas….then,” he began counting with his fingers.

“Who the heck are they?” Sunil asked him.

“They were cage fighters all of them…..they had lives, lives that I ended with a stroke,” he said looking at his hands.

“So what? That’s our job its what we do….you know how we work,” Sunil reminded him.

“Then what about Venus?” he asked.

“What about her?” he asked looking serious.

“He killed her!” Mathew said getting enraged.

“She was a whore,” he said without much care for his choice of words.

“I loved her!” he screamed “and don’t you dare call her a whore,” he added pointing his finger at Sunil.

“Is that what all this is about? Your doing this because of her?” he asked Mathew.

“I can’t forgive him for that,” he said.

“She was poisoning your mind!” Sunil said.

“She was right you know, now I see it sometimes I wonder if my parents died at the hands of people like you,” he said wondering to himself how they might have looked.

“You are an orphan that’s all there is to it, now come with us you have a life to live,” Sunil said opening the car door.

“I don’t want to waste my life like this becoming a drug lord and killing people for once I want to do something that my own heart desires,” he explained.

“Like what? Becoming an engineer and building bloody houses?” Sunil asked not looking amused.

“I want to be a singer,” Mathew said.

There was silence and then Sunil and his boys burst into laughter.

“Bahahaha! Are you serious?” he asked as he roared in laughter.

“I am serious,” he said firmly.

“Take him,” he said and the men tried to grab him.

He knocked two of them out cold in a single sweep.

“I want him alive,” Sunil screamed as they pointed their guns at him.

“You killed my boys I won’t forgive you for that,” he said taking out his gun. “I don’t think the boss would mind if you have a few bullet holes,” he said as he took aim at his legs.

“Wait stop it both of you!” Natasha screamed as she got in the middle of them.

  “Move!” yelled Sunil.

“My dad’s rich we’ll pay you lots of money,” she said.

“I don’t need it,” he said.

“Don’t shoot her!” Mathew said pulling her away.

“I will! If you don’t come with us,” he said now aiming for her.

“She’s Cornello’s daughter,” Mathew informed her.

  “What! Who?” he asked confused.

“Boss I think he meant Rodriguez Cornello,” said one of his boys.

“Oh fuck!” Sunil cursed lowering his gun.

“I am gonna have to talk to your daddy, I’ll let him know what a bad girl you have become this ain’t over you hear me!” he said turning to leave.

“Just remember this if I don’t come back you become the boss,” Mathew yelled from behind.

Sunil stopped and looked back “Hell! That’s better than serving under you,” and he left.

“Congratulations Natasha your screwed up now for good,” Mathew said.

“You should have just listened to Mathew and stayed out of this mess,” Sakshi said.

But Natasha simply hugged Mathew and said “I am just happy that your okay”.

  Christmas with the Rodriguez’s

It was Christmas season and Natasha and Sakshi could finally come home and enjoy a blissful week.

“7 days of fun, here I come!” declared Sakshi as she kept the phone.

“My dad will be upset though,” Natasha said looking worried.

“Hmm maybe but its Christmas so he might go easy on you this time I think,” Sakshi tried to cheer her up. “Besides your dad says he is interested in meeting Mathew,” she added.

“Wow really so we can bring with us?” she asked and Sakshi nodded.

“This is great na?” Natasha asked.

“Still I don’t like him he lied to us about everything,” Sakshi said.

“He must have had his reason’s besides you lied to me too remember?” She reminded Sakshi.

“Well….well that was different, I was trying to protect you,” Sakshi said defensively.

“A lie is a lie,” Natasha said.

“Whatever!” Sakshi tried to end that topic.

“Anyway you better tell Mathew and drag him if he doesn’t agree to come,” she commanded Sakshi.

“That will be difficult for skinny girls like us since he is as big as a bull,” Sakshi answered.

Sakshi called Mathew on his phone they were supposed to give back some books before they left for their vacation and told him about the request from Mr Rodriguez.

“I’ll fill you on the details one the way to the library….ok bye,” and she kept the phone.

“Do you think he’ll be okay with all of those bad people after him?” Natasha asked again.

“Will you stop that he will be fine trust me,” Sakshi said sternly.

As they arrived they found a big and handsome man waiting at the entrance to the library he had a clean shaven face, as soon as he saw them he smiled and waved at them.

“Natasha there’s a handsome guy waving at us,” Sakshi said pointing at him.

“Wow! You must be pretty popular Sakshi! He looks familiar did we meet him somewhere?” Natasha asked.

“I don’t know,” Sakshi said as they approached him.

“Hi! How do I look,” he asked them.

“You look sexy baby! Oh she already has a boyfriend,” Sakshi said pushing Natasha behind her.

  “Hey! That’s cheating,” Natasha said.

“What’s gotten into you guys all of a sudden?” he asked them.

“Oh nothing its just that you stole my heart,” Sakshi said hugging him without warning.

“Hey get off! It’s me Mathew,” he said trying to push her away.

“Eeeks!” Sakshi squeaked pushing him away.

  “Whaat!” Natasha said in surprise.

“I thought it would be nice to meet your dad with a clean face so I shaved,” he said running his fingers on his chin.

“Wow I never knew you had such a handsome face,” Natasha said. “Okay lets pretend this never happened,” Sakshi said embarrassed.

“Your such a sucker,” Mathew said laughing.

“Damn I feel like an idiot!” Sakshi thought biting her teeth.

“She has a weakness for good looking guys,” Natasha informed him.

  “No I don’t,” Sakshi countered.

“So you still think I am evil?” Mathew asked.

  “Shut up!” she said and
went in.

As they went in one of the girl’s asked Natasha “Is he your friend?”

“Forget it! He is too good for you,” Sakshi said and chased her off.

“Now now Sakshi you shouldn’t be mean to them!” Natasha said teasingly.

“Shut up okay! I haven’t fallen for him….yet,” Sakshi said.

“Ow! But your blushing,” Natasha said giggling.

“Nice try! But I have brown skin you won’t know even if I blush,” she retorted.

  “Oh really!” Natasha asked.

“Ha! Having a darker shade of skin is useful sometimes, your skin is so white that when you blush you become as red as a tomato…...no wonder your so easy to read,” Sakshi said laughing.

  “That’s a lie,” Natasha said.

“Oh common you turn red even when you lie,” Sakshi said making fun of her.

“Whatever! It’s getting late, where’s Mathew?” Natasha asked trying to change the subject.

As they came out the three of them decided to visit a restaurant before leaving.

As they were walking a lady in her scooty passed by them she kept starring at Mathew so intently that she crashed strait at a tree.

“Are you okay ma’am?” Sakshi asked as the three of them came to help her.

But she ignored Sakshi and grabbed hold of Mathew “I think I sprained my ankle!” she whined looking at Mathew and pulling him closer.

“She’s being dramatic,” Natasha thought annoyed. “Let’s call an ambulance or something,” she said.

“Ya we don’t have time for this,” Sakshi said glaring at her angrily.

Mathew examined her ankle “She looks fine,” he thought.

Some other people also came by then to have a look.

“Hey you can you take her to the hospital?” he asked a couple.

“Sure thing,” they said and came to help her up.

She was almost crying in disappointment looking back at him as they took her.

“Drama queen,” Sakshi said seething in anger.

“She barely had a scratch on her,” Natasha added.

And so they both grumbled all the way to the restaurant. While Mathew decided it was the last time he was gonna shave again.

By the end of the evening they finally reached Natasha’s place. It was in a remote location surrounded by forests on all directions, a large estate in itself nearly 4000 acres. The house was just as impressive nearly 4 storeys tall and spread over an area of 90,000 square feet. There were two helipads and two chopper, one would be on stand by at all times. Not to mentions nearly a hundred security guards armed with all kinds of weapons that along with tall and thick walls made it look like a fortified stronghold.
