A FILTHY Marriage (Filthy Line Book 4) Page 21

by Jaxson Kidman

  He swallowed hard.

“We ran down the street, dancing on our feet, flirting with time, trying to make it all rhyme. Working the night like a boxer in a fight, only thing that matters is making this thing right. And I just…”

  Jay stopped strumming the guitar.

“I just want to fucking be with you, Wren.”

  “Jay…”

“It’s crazy. It’s all done wrong. But look what we’ve been through. You’ve seen the darkest of the rock star life with Mitchy. The drugs and women and how bad it can get. And I’ve seen you grieving and in pain. I don’t want to regret not having more time with you.”

“Jay, I was wrong,” I said. “I have to admit it. I was wrong. Grams knew how she wanted to go. She was waiting for me to be happy enough to let go. And if I’m going to listen to Grams… she was right. I was happy with you.”

Jay took the guitar from around his neck and stepped into the house.

He tossed it toward the couch and touched my waist.

He pulled me close to him and we kissed.

It was short-lived as I started to laugh.

  “What?” he asked.

“Was that the show you were going to play for Grams?” I asked.

  “No. I already did that.”

  “You, what?”

“Before I came here. I went to see her again and I played for her.”

  “You played… for her…”

“Yeah. I got on one knee in front of her and played.”

  “You mean at the cemetery?”

Jay nodded. “I kept my promise to her. And I want to keep my promise to you, Wren.”

  “Which is?”

“I love you. I can’t save myself from that. I’m in love with you. And I want to be with you. I’ll even live right here if you want.”

“I’m selling the house,” I said.

  “Oh. Shit.”

  “I’m moving out today.”

  “Where?” Jay asked.

  “No idea.”

  “So you’re homeless right now?”

“I kind of am,” I said.

“That wild girl is showing through again…”

“Maybe,” I said. “I mean, I am single now. Right?”

  Jay curled his lip. “Single?”

  “We both signed the papers.”

  “You signed first.”

“You could have found me and told me I was being crazy,” I said.

“You know what? File the fucking papers.”

  “Really?”

“Yeah,” Jay said. “Want to know why?”

  “Why?”

“Because then I get to start all over from the beginning. To steal your heart once again and keep it that way forever. Knowing you can leave me in a second. Knowing you can meet someone else and break my heart.”

“You can’t live that way, Jay,” I said with a laugh. “You’ll be raging with jealousy.”

“Fucking right I will,” he said. “That just goes to prove how much I love you.”

“So you’re suggesting we file the paperwork, end our marriage, and start over?”

“That’s exactly what I’m saying,” Jay said. “Just how crazy can you get with me, Wren?”

I smiled and moved to my toes and stole a kiss.

“Fine. Consider us no longer married.”

Jay wiped his forehead. “There’s a relief.”

  “What?”

“You’re a pain to be married to,” he said. “You’re emotional and clingy. I’d rather you be my girlfriend. It’s hotter. I bet the sex is better too.”

“I guess there’s only one way to find out,” I said.

Jay picked me up. “How long until you have to move out?”

“I don’t know. A few hours. If that.”

“Good. That’s plenty of time to make you fall in love with me.”

  He winked.

I touched his face and shook my head. “Too late, Jay. I’m already in love with you.”

He growled. “You saying stuff like that makes my rock star heart weak.”

“I know,” I said. “You’re all mine, Jay.”

“So… just to clarify… I’m about to fuck my ex-wife, right?”

“I’m about to fuck my ex-husband,” I said.

“Why does that turn us on so much?” Jay asked.

I smiled. I put my mouth to his ear and hit at him. “It’s simple… we’re just that filthy, Jay… and I love it.”

  Epilogue

  SAB

I sat on the floor and stuck my hand into the pool of Jell-O and licked my fingers.

  Red Jell-O… had no taste.

  No Jell-O has a taste.

I put my head back and laughed.

The two victors - both completely naked - were on the leather couch together.

Arms and legs wrapped all up in each other.

They were purring sweetly as they slept.

The rest of the band had already gone back to the hotel.

I stayed to watch more of the Jell-O fun.

It was Jay’s idea. I had nothing to do with it.

Only until the women wanted to fight one of us.

I was technically the only single guy in the band so I dove head first into the Jell-O and had a little fun.

And when the Jell-O wrestling was over… that’s when the couch and cock wrestling began.

I let the two women pin me down.

  They took turns with me.

  I took turns with them.

I blew them a kiss and reached up for a drink and my phone.

It was after three in the morning.

  The room was quiet.

  The world was quiet.

“Don’t do it, Sab,” I whispered to myself. “Don’t fucking do it.”

I had a rule that I needed to be loud or passed out by three.

There was something about the hours of three to five in the morning when the worst came out in me.

And even right then… two naked women on the couch… all I had to do was stand up and wake them up. They’d be on their knees in a second. I could have both again. It was all there for the taking.

  It was limitless…

But my fingers went to work on my phone.

My brain screamed for me to stop.

  I didn’t stop.

I know it’s late. I know it’s really fucking late. Girl, I… I just want to see you again.

  I sent the text.

“And I love you,” I said. “Fuck, I love you so much.”

My heart twisted and I started to climb to my feet.

I stumbled forward and almost went face first into the Jell-O.

  I froze and laughed.

“Saved it,” I said to nobody.

I reached for the door and it opened on its own.

“Sab,” Nash said. “What the fuck…”

“What are you doing here?” I asked. “Where’s Liv?”

“She’s at the hotel,” Nash said. “We have to go. We have to talk.”

  “About what?”

“Come on,” Nash said. “The rest of us are waiting out here. Fuck, you smell like sugar, pussy, and booze.”

  “It’s my new cologne.”

Nash slapped my face. “Sab. Sober up.”

“What the hell is your problem?” I growled.

Nash grabbed my face. “I don’t even know how to say this…”

  “Say what?” I asked.

  “Mitchy is dead.”

  Meet Sab

  The boy next door.

  My best guy friend.

  The rock star on stage.

I’ll always know Sab as Sebastian.

And no matter what happens in life he’s always there.

  My amazing friend.

When my mother passes away unexpectedly he’s the first person I call.

Without hesitation he’s on a plane to see me.

  He takes care of everything.

Then he comes up with a wild idea.

  H
e wants me to go on tour with him and the band.

It’s an easy way to get my mind off things.

And as long as Sab is watching over me nothing can go wrong.

But... me and him on a tour bus.

  Alone.

  Sharing hotel rooms.

Seeing him in a towel to and from the shower.

The sudden sting of jealousy as groupies throw themselves at him.

Before I know it my little ‘sneak peeks’ aren’t enough.

  I want him.

  I crave him.

  My best friend is Sebastian.

But the man touching me is Sab.

  Rock star drummer.

One night turns into two... and then some…

  And now I’m slipping.

  Falling for the rock star.

  Falling for my best friend.

But the road is calling him.

That’s always been his first love.

And I won’t be second best.

Even if it breaks my heart.
