He cupped my face staring into my gray eyes. “Baby, it’s important business. It can’t wait. I need the keys to your condo.”
“The keys are on the small table by the front door.”
He leaned over ferociously kissing my lips. “Trust me, baby, I don’t want to leave. Tomorrow night, once we are home back in good old Cole Mountain, I will fuck you all night.”
I smiled, rubbing my legs together like a cricket. “You better.”
Fifteen minutes later Christian was gone. I stared at the ceiling, emptiness quaked in my belly. I barely made it a week without Christian. I believed my mountain man would return. The second we were alone I was his to please. Those powerful hands gripped my waist and thighs tight. The pleasurable thoughts sent tingles down my back. I bit my lower lip, rubbing my pussy, longing to be filled again by my mountain man.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
CHRISTIAN
I pounded my heavy fist against the thick apartment door.
“Who is it?”
I stepped back from the peephole not lifting the dark baseball cap above my brow.
“Christian.” My deep voice bounced off the hallway walls.
The door swung open. He looked me up and down. “What do you want?”
“To talk.”
“About what?”
“I won’t repeat myself,” I snarled.
I stepped forward, pushing past the little shit.
“By all means come in,” he huffed closing the door behind me.
“Have a seat, Ross.” I roamed throughout the living room, peaking into the kitchen then the bedroom.
“I don’t want to sit down,” he yelled from behind.
I removed my Glock, resting against the small of my back underneath the black sweatshirt.
Pointing the gun, I grimaced, stalking toward him. “No, you don’t want to sit down?”
He gawked at me and threw his hands in the air. “What the fuck man?” Ross fell into one of the two beige chairs.
“Put your fucking hands down. I’m surprised your little play thing isn’t here.”
He ran his hands tightly over his head. “I left her alone.”
“Oh, you did?” I cocked my head to the side, sitting on the sofa across from him.
“What the fuck do you care? You have my woman.”
I jumped to my feet, grabbing him up by his gray T-shirt with one hand.
“Oh, I care you lying piece of shit,” I growled.
“I’m a very rich man. My driver captured pictures of you arriving at Carla’s apartment at night and leaving in the morning a few times last week. But you love Emily so much.”
I slammed the butt of my Glock against his head. He doubled over.
“You mistreated Emily. No one takes advantage of what’s mine. My foot slammed into his stomach.”
I crouched down, sliding my Glock into my jeans against the small of my back.
Gripping his jaw, I forced his gaze to meet mine. “What was it about Emily Santer that would make you want to use her? Was it her family’s money?”
I slapped his jaw twice. “Answer me. I bet she didn’t know you came from nothing and you’ve maxed out your credit cards. You planned to marry Emily and live off of her family’s fortune. Isn’t that right?” I roared.
“Yes, yes!” he cried.
I retrieved my Glock again, holding the muzzle against his forehead.
His eyes widened and his chest heaved. “Please don’t kill me!”
“Tomorrow morning, you will call Mr. Santer. Thank him for allowing you to work at his company. Inform him you have to resign.”
“Shit, come on, man. I need that job.”
“No, not that one. It’s over. Walk away from the Santer’s. If you can’t make it in New York City then move back to fucking Indiana. By the time I arrive at Mr. Santer’s office in the morning you better have carried out the order. If not, I’ll return when you least expect it and I will wipe you from existence,” I snarled.
“You know, better yet. I’ll end you right now,” I chuckled.
His eyes slammed shut. “Please no!” he pleaded.
“I will cut my ties with the Santer’s first thing in the morning.”
“Good.” I punched him in his throat.
He flopped around on the floor like a fish in need of water, trying to catch his breath.
I stood, glancing at my watch. “You’ll be just fine in oh say two minutes.”
My hysterical laughter filled the room as I secured my weapon, then vacated his apartment.

Her hair was swept up into a bun while she slept. I’ll never tire of staring at her beautiful, angelic face for the rest of my life. I peeled off my clothes, pressed the button on the nightstand lamp, the room darkened. I climbed into bed, pulling the comforter over Emily and me. Nuzzling her black hair brought a smile to my lips. The tranquil smell of lavender filled my nostrils. I wrapped her in my big strong arms, circling my cock against her tight ass. She purred brushing her hands over my arms.
“Christian, you’re back?”
“Yes, baby, I’m here.” The street lights cascaded through the bedroom window. Sirens and horns from the busy city streets flooded my ears.
“I don’t miss the sounds of the traffic every night.”
She turned her head and those big gray eyes studied my face in the shadows. The largest smile spread across those pretty lips. “And I miss the quiet in the mountains.”
“Tomorrow night, I’ll set up a tent on the balcony off our bedroom. We’ll sleep outside. You’ll only hear the sounds of deer and rabbits prancing through the woods.”
“But Christian, the freezing elements will keep me shivering through the night.”
“Not a chance baby, the sub-zero tent will keep you nice and toasty. What you should worry about is me. The big bad wolf will keep you awake. I’ll fuck that sweet little pussy all night long.”
She laughed hysterically, turning completely, wrapping her arms around my neck.
“I can’t wait until tomorrow night. I love the big bad wolf. He’s a savage.”
“Yeah, I am sweetness. I’ll savagely fuck that tight cunt until your screams fill the mountain air and your cumming hard on my cock.”
“Um,” she moaned biting her bottom lip.
“Emily, you know better than to bite that lip.”
My dick was hard as a rock.
“Beautiful, I will give you what you want, then we’ll get some rest.”
∞
I knocked on the open door of the oversized office with floor to ceiling windows. The view of New York City from this angle was beautiful. That I do remember from staring out my office window so many times. I wouldn’t give up Cole mountain again for this view. I’d only been away for a day and already missed the sounds of nature on Cole mountain.
“Come in.”
Clutching Emily’s hand tight, I stepped inside wearing a custom black silk suit, black dress shirt, and black tie. The form-fitting gray dress my woman wore brought out her eyes. The large bow tied around the side of her neck spoke elegance.
I stretched out my right hand. “Christian Cole sir.”
His smile widened as he glanced at Emily shaking my hand. “I see you brought Mr. Cole to meet me.”
“Yes.”
He glanced at me. “Mr. Eric Santer it’s a pleasure. Thank you for saving my daughter's life. Have a seat.”
We sat on the black sleek leather sofa. Mr. Santer sat in a black leather chair across from us.
“Mr. Santer, rescuing Emily has changed my life,” I stated staring into her eyes.
“How is business?” I returned my attention to her father.
“It’s better than ever. I received the best call this morning from Emily’s ex-fiancé Ross.”
I sat listening eagerly.
“He resigned. I was so relieved. Last week Emily and my wife Erica persuaded me not to kill him.”
“Well hello.” We heard from our rig
ht.
Emily hopped up, embracing the woman. “Mom.”
I stood. Emily introduced us. Mrs. Santer sat next to her husband, wrapping her arm around his.
“Dear, did you say Ross quit?”
He smiled at her. “Yes, darling.”
“I wonder what brought that on.”
Emily squeezed my hand. I take it she had a clue.
Good thing that little shit saw things my way. If not, I would’ve buried his ass at the bottom of Cole mountain.
Mrs. Santer waved her hands. “Actually, I don’t. Good riddance. I hate how he hurt our Emily.”
“Mr. and Mrs. Santer, I love your daughter. She’s the sweetest woman I’ve ever met. I believe everything happens for a reason. Rescuing Emily from the burning wreckage opened my eyes and my heart to love. What I’m trying to say is…I would like to ask for your daughter’s hand in marriage.”
Her parents gasped.
“If you know anything about the Cole family, you know we are hard workers and take care of our own. Emily has met my family. They love her. Being away from her for only a short time was one of the most difficult times in my life. I won’t be without her another day. She is moving to Cole mountain with me today.”
“What?” Her father’s eyes widened.
“Mr. Cole…”
“Please call me Christian.”
“Christian, she was just engaged to another man.”
“You are right, sir she was. She was engaged to the wrong man.”
“I must agree with you there.”
“Emily can fly back by helicopter or jet. By any means of transportation to visit you both.”
Her mother stared into Emily’s eyes. “Is this what you want?”
Emily wrapped her arm around mine, staring at me with those warm eyes. “Absolutely, I love Christian. I want to be his wife.” She kissed my cheek.
This woman has stolen my heart. Emily made me the happiest man alive the moment she came into my life.
“I’ll visit. Mom and Dad, you are welcome to visit us. Christian and I are having a winter wedding.”
A smile grew on my face as wide as the Hudson River.
Her father exhaled. “Well if this is what my daughter wants…” He stood.
“You have our blessing.”
I stood shaking her parent’s hands. “Thank you, both.”
“There was something different about Emily the day after her accident. There was a calmness in her voice. This time I do believe Christian, our Emily is in love with the right man,” Mrs. Santer stated.
We laughed.
Emily and I had brunch with her parents. Mr. Santer asked for a few stock tips. I offered to look over his stock portfolio and make sure he’s investing in the right growth markets.

Later that night, Emily stood on the deck gazing at the stars above Cole mountain, wrapped in my arms.
“Feels good to have you home, sweetness.”
“It feels good to be home.”
She sighed. “I love the view of the snow-capped mountain, the fluffy snow, and this big beautiful log cabin. Do you hear that?”
My eyebrows rose. “Hear what?”
“Peace and quiet,” she giggled.
“Yup, it’s just me and you out here on ten-acres. Not another neighbor for miles. Nobody will hear you screaming tonight.” I tossed her over my shoulder, slapping her on her ass.
She shrieked.
The moment we arrived home we traded in our fancy clothes for jeans and sweaters.
Once inside the house, I lowered Emily on her feet. “I’ll set up the tent.”
“And I’ll prepare two glasses of whiskey.”
My lips curled at both ends. “I love the sound of that. Nothing like a smooth glass of whiskey and my beautiful woman in my arms.”
My heart has turned from stone to mush for Emily Santer. I pulled the tent from the closet next to the front door. My cock stirred as I caught a glimpse of her lushes’ curves. I stepped behind her, trailing wet kisses down her neck while she prepared our drinks.
“Not sure we will make it inside the tent.” I circled my hard cock against her ass.
She turned her head, pressing her lips against mine. “Fuck me on the counter, then outside,” she purred.
“Now you're talking.”
Emily pushed our drinks aside. I hoisted her up onto the counter. She wrapped her legs around my waist. I devoured her lips. She moaned as I deepened our kiss. I planned to live the rest of my days pleasing this woman. Emily was mine, all mine.
EPILOGUE
EMILY
Living on Cole Mountain was an absolute dream. Cole town at Christmas was full of holiday cheer. I enjoyed strolling down the street, peeping into the vibrant store windows. Some mornings I’d help Oliver by managing payroll for the clinic and hospital. Christian brought his laptop, and he’d work on his client’s stock portfolios. I loved working side by side with Christian.
On New Year’s Day, I walked down the aisle to marry the man of my dreams. My mountain man Christian Cole. My parents and aunt Meme were there. Christian's father Grant sat in the front row next to Anastasia. She waved at me, beaming with joy. Her copper locks fell over her shoulders.
I glanced at Alex and Asher standing next to Christian at the altar. They grinned from ear to ear. Anastasia was sweet and made those big burly mountain men happy. I looked forward to our future lunches together. I bet she had steamy stories to share. I winked at Asher and Alex and they winked back. They deserved happiness.
Now if grouchy Oliver could find a woman, he’d smile a little more. I snickered inside. Justin had a heart of gold. The woman who’d steal his heart would be one lucky woman. Once Nicholas is no longer playing the field, I bet he’ll be surprised how happy one woman could make him. Grant was a big teddy bear who deserved to find love again too.
Christian stretched his hand out for mine as I approached the altar. I glanced over my shoulder. The church pews were tipping over with townspeople. They were there to see Christian Cole tie the knot with a New York City woman. Who would have thought my car accident would have led me to fall for my real true love?
Every day wasn’t a cake walk. We argued like any other couple. By the end of the day, we discussed the issue, ensuring we didn’t go to bed angry with one another.
Christian was thrilled to learn we were having a baby. I didn’t know who was happier, him or his father, and brothers. The Cole men vowed that one of them would be at our house in my last trimester if Christian needed to rush back to New York on business.
Christian and his brothers planned to build an addition on our house to accommodate all our future babies. I told Christian no more than four children.
We exchanged vows and said our I do’s. I couldn’t believe the man I’d given myself to was now my husband. He captured my lips with passion, revealing all of his love for me in that one kiss. I held his muscled back tight in the charcoal gray custom tuxedo. We stared into each other’s eyes. I ran my fingers along his neatly groomed brown hair.
“I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you, Mrs. Emily Cole.”
I pecked his lips. “I too look forward to living the rest of my days with you Mr. Christian Cole, the man who makes my heart flutter and my toes curl.” I flashed a wicked smile.
Christian’s face flushed over as he laughed.
He didn’t plan on ever letting me go and neither did I.

“Let me go!”
He wrapped his big, meaty hand around my neck. The giant of a man slammed my body against the dirty wall in the men’s truck stop restroom. My legs dangled in the air.
“Not a chance in hell Little Red Riding Ho
od.” He grinned and flashed his yellow teeth. His boisterous laugh bounced off the walls of the empty restroom.
I closed my eyes and turned my head to my right. His putrid breath singed my nose hairs.
He squeezed my neck tighter. His eyes grew larger and he pulled his bottom lip into his mouth as he began to choke the life out of me.
My eyes fluttered open and closed. I had to fight. This couldn’t be the way my life ended at the hands of a sadistic killer.
“I said, let…me…go!” I huffed.
I jabbed my knee into his crotch. Hopefully, I crushed his pea-sized cock and balls. Earlier, I sat on a bench waiting for the bus leaving Charleston, SC. This disgusting, maggot stood on the side of his eighteen-wheeler, pumping gas. He smiled at me, undid his pants, and flashed his tiny cock. I placed my hand over my mouth and burst into laughter. That, of course, pissed him off. And that’s how I ended up in here with this psycho.
