Ryan snorted. “And tomorrow we can start repairing the house, starting with the hole in the wall the size of a vampire.”
“I guess I’ll have to dust off my carpenter skills,” Ash teased as he scooped Warren into his arms and cradled him against his chest. They looked perfect together, and Ryan was the luckiest man alive that they were his.
* * * *
It had been three months since all that shit had happened. Ash was glad it was behind them. They were getting along a lot better, although he and Ryan still went at each other’s throat from time to time. That was what happened when two dominant males lived together. Warren was constantly chewing them out, too.
At the moment Ash was in the kitchen, putting together lunch. Ryan was at the table on his tablet, and Warren was somewhere in the house, his belly big making him waddle everywhere.
It was the cutest sight Ash had ever seen. He was so freaking glad he hadn’t thrown all this way and cheated on his mates that night at Pump. He would’ve missed out on the best thing to ever happen to him.
While Ash waited on the coffee to percolate, someone knocked on the back door. He looked at Ryan, who looked at him.
“I ain’t getting up,” Ryan said. “I’m in the middle of a game.”
With a roll of his eyes, Ash walked to the door and opened it. You’ve got to be kidding me. A growl rumbled in his chest as he stared at Warren’s uncle. He hadn’t seen the guy since he’d grabbed Warren, and Ash was seconds away from slamming the door in his face.
If he didn’t, he just might kill the asshole. “What do you want?”
Morgan sneered at him, looking Ash up and down with a withering glare. “I came to see my nephew. I see you’re still around.”
Ash was seconds away from killing the idiot. God how he was tempted, how he wanted to teach the jerk a lesson. “You don’t get to see jackshit after what you did to him. Considering yourself lucky I didn’t put a hurting on you.”
Ryan appeared at Ash’s side, a similar growl erupting in his throat. Only Ryan bared his fangs. Fucking show-off. “You’ve got some nerve coming back here.”
“You two can’t tell me who I can and can’t see. Warren is my nephew, and if I want to talk to him, I will!” Morgan stared closely at Ryan’s mouth. “What the fuck are you?”
“I got this,” Ryan said. “Let me take care of him.”
“Not if you’re going to kill him. Warren is already emotional enough. I don’t need him crying for days on end.”
They’d been waiting on Warren hand and foot, catering to his every need. Warren might’ve complained about being smothered, but Ash knew he enjoyed every second of it.
And now Morgan was here to disrupt their lives? Hell no. Not if Ash and Ryan had anything to say about it.
“I’ll bedazzle him.” Ryan winked at Ash. “No killing involved.”
“You’ll do what to me?” Morgan swayed, and his breath smelled like straight booze.
“I just need his full attention,” Ryan said. He moved a step closer and stared right into Morgan’s eyes. Ash had heard of vampires doing this, but he was fascinated to see it up close.
“You didn’t stop by Warren’s house today. You didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. In fact, you’re going to stop by tomorrow afternoon and apologize for your wretched behavior. You accept that your nephew is gay, happy he found two men to love him. You’re also going to stop drinking.”
Warren moved in behind them. Ash cursed, hoping his mate didn’t stop Ryan from what he was doing.
“And gambling,” Warren said under his breath.
“And gambling,” Ryan repeated out loud. He looked at Warren. “Anything else?”
Warren shook his head.
Ryan turned back to Morgan. “Now go home and sleep it off. Come back tomorrow with a happier fucking disposition.”
Morgan spun around and walked away. Ryan closed the door, a happy smile on his face.
Ash scowled. “Have you ever done that to me?”
“Nope.” Ryan went back to the table and sat down. Why didn’t Ash believe him? He’d started to grill Ryan when Warren cried out, clutching his stomach.
“Oh my fuck this hurts!” Warren went to his knees, and Ash jumped into action. He helped Warren up as Ryan reached for his phone, calling Dr. Bjord. The guy looked ready to freak out. Ash already had Warren to worry about. He didn’t need Ryan being of no use.
He got Warren to the bedroom and lay him down, stripping his clothes off and covering him with a sheet.
Ash was shocked he was being so calm when internally he was freaking out. Warren grabbed his wrist and yanked Ash to him. “If Ryan ever gets me pregnant again, we’re neutering him.”
Ash had learned to just agree with Warren. He nodded, although he was never going to go through with that. “Just breathe, baby. We’re going to get through this.” He kissed Warren’s forehead. “Have I told you how much I love you?”
“I love you, too,” Warren wailed. “Now get this baby out of me!”
An hour later and Ash was smiling down at their daughter. She was perfect in every way, just as his mates were. She had Ryan’s dark hair but Warren’s jade-green eyes.
Ash already knew he would be keeping a loaded shotgun in the house for when the boys started noticing her, because she was their princess and no one would ever be good enough for her.
“You did amazing.” Ash kissed Warren’s cheek. “So damn amazing.”
“Better than I did,” Ryan chuckled. “I nearly passed out twice. I would’ve been tied with you, shrimp.” Ryan gave Warren a quick but thorough kiss. “I love you.”
Warren smiled, holding their baby girl to his chest. He had tears in his eyes as he looked at her with such love and pride. “I love you both. Now let me get some rest. Giving birth is grueling.”
Their family was finally complete, and Ash felt as if he were on cloud nine. Three men and a baby girl. Or more accurately, a wolf, a vampire, and a spitfire human, who would protect and love her as well as each other.
