“Oh, really?” Derek wasn’t one for theatrics, so I wondered what had him so hyped up.
“The loan went through for the Boulder shop.”
My eyes grew big. “You’re shi—, I mean, kidding me.” I still struggled to not swear in front of our toddler. “I thought we wouldn’t have an answer until next week.”
“The bank came through,” he said.
My cupcakes had become so popular, I couldn’t keep up with the demand from a single shop. If the Boulder store worked out, which I had no reason to believe it wouldn’t, I planned to expand even further along the front range.
“Just think,” Derek said. “We’re here today because you brought me some cupcakes.”
I rubbed up onto his hot, muscular body. With a whisper, I said, “I’ll give you my cupcakes again today.” I winked and rubbed my tits on him.
“Now? What about the little one over there?”
“Hey Em,” I said.
“Mom?”
“After we ice the cinnamon rolls, you can have a nap,” I said.
“Okay, mommy.”
She was easy.
But not as easy as Derek. I let him believe he was the one in control. In truth, my curves had him by the balls.
