Further inquiries were made by the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, and on 16 January 1963, Geoffrey Reis wrote to acknowledge their queries, stating that the circumstances of Graham’s case were ‘very distressing’. He had spoken about it previously to the Society’s Inspector, describing Graham as ‘a keen, intelligent boy, and one who I thought was fit to be in charge of the poisons sold to him’. No further action was taken.
