“You want me to wait, Dominic.”
I tossed her on the sofa and hovered over her. I held her hands over her head. “Yes, I like discussing certain parts of the business with you. But what I share is shallow. Holds no weight in my world. Angelita, I am not looking for a wife now or in the near future. When I decide to settle down, it will be on my terms.” My cock was rock hard, but I’d walk out the door right now.
“You of all people should know poking the bear isn’t in your best interest.”
She leaned up licking my lips. “Stop talking and fuck me.”
I bit her neck. “I am not playing Angelita. Don’t bring it up again.”
She pushed her slick tongue into my mouth. “Fuck me good,” she moaned.
I pulled her up into my arms and stalked toward her bedroom.
Sometimes we’d fuck and I’d notice that ‘I love you face’ appear as she came. I needed to tell grandfather I would stop seeing Angelita.
If our shipping deal ended, he could strike a deal with another lot.
Because no matter what I said to Angelita about not wanting a relationship she wasn’t listening.
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
DOMINIC
Gio and I arrived in Las Vegas early Wednesday morning. No red-carpet treatment was needed. We had to remain under the radar. Gio brought me up to speed on the bullshit that was going on at the casino. My father could have put an end to this fucker Daniel Muncer earlier, but his goal was to bring down the entire ring of people who would have the nerve to betray the Magarelli’s. If they didn’t know who we were that’s their fucking mistake. No, they’d pay with their fucking lives. We climbed inside the dark colored economy car, I rented.
“Gio, can you enter Daniel’s address?”
“Yeah, sure.”
I merged into traffic. “Are you ready for the responsibilities of guarding the governor, Gio?”
He chuckled. “I am. But the security team of the former administration insist I train with one of their best men.”
I nodded. “Additional training can’t hurt.”
“Yeah, true.”
“You know your father only wants the best for you?” He slid his dark cap closer to his eyes.
To avoid sticking out like sore thumbs, we wore sneakers, T-shirts, jeans, and baseball caps.
“I know. But sometimes he takes things too far. Why is he ok with me not knowing the family business? I wouldn’t feel like a respectable Magarelli man.”
His eyebrows rose. “Do you want your sister in this life?”
“Fuck no!”
“Your grandfather didn’t give Serg and his brothers and sisters a choice. They had to learn the business. I’m sure Serg and your grandfather will agree that Alexandria doesn’t belong in this business.”
“But Gio, the men in this family have to keep our business going.”
“Sal could always bring any of your Uncle Geno’s four sons from Rhode Island to run the business. Not that he would want to?” He lowered the sun visor, shielding his face from the bright sun. Gio stared out of the passenger window.
I glanced at him. “Wait, why wouldn’t he want to?”
“Geno runs his business differently than Sergio. A long time ago Geno attempted to ask Tony to assist on a job. Mick intercepted and shut it down. Training his men was all he was allowed to do.”
“Shit!” I massaged my gruff face. “Sounds like Geno and my grand dad don’t see eye to eye.”
“Nope.”
“I miss Uncle Mick. I hate he disappeared. My father will never rest until he finds his brothers killer.”
“You’re right about that. After we clean up this mess, we need to hit the tables and drink until we pass out. I need a fucking break.” His head thudded the cloth headrest.
“Killing always makes me thirsty for top shelf whiskey.”
We laughed.

The subdivision lined with tan and white ranch style houses was a perfect place to watch that slimy son of a bitch Daniel. We parked curbside of a white ranch home at the end of the cul-de-sac. Hints of palm trees graced the middle-income neighborhood. Gio gawked out of the binoculars.
“Well, look at that,” he chuckled.
“Let me take a look. I grabbed the binoculars and peered through the lenses. Two by two six guys hopped out of their cars. Long wallet Chains hung from their jeans as they approached the corner house. I placed the binoculars back in Gio’s grip. We’d sat in the neighborhood since eleven in the morning. The backseat of the car was littered with Red bull cans and fast food.
“His grandmother lives in a nice neighborhood. I wonder how she feels about the degenerates walking in and out of her home.”
His blue eyes darkened. “She won’t have to worry about them much longer.”
We snickered.

Gio shoved his hands in his pockets and kept his baseball cap low over his eyes as he strolled down the street. The street lamps lit his path. He peeked across the street at Daniels house, then bent down next to a van, tying his shoe. He attached a tracker under the van, then continued his walk.
Gio returned to the car fifteen minutes later.
“What did you see in the house?”
“I only noticed the light from the TV in the living room. Daniel and his friends must’ve been in the back of the house.”
“You don’t think they fled on foot out the back door?”
“No.”
We had no way of knowing. Gio had to trust his gut. My father only wanted Gio and I pulling surveillance. Once we reached the casino our other men would assist with the seven man team and a few employees working at the casino.
Chatter and slapping of hands erupted on Daniel’s porch under the porch light an hour later. Sitting up straight, I pressed the power button lowering the driver side window an inch more.
“Gio, you were right. They were inside.”
“Yup and looks like they are on the move,” Gio said, glancing down the dark street.
His eyes fell on his cell. “I just turned on the tracking device. We’ll wait until they are a block away then we will follow.”
“Sounds good.”
Ten minutes later, we turned onto the strip. The three vehicles we followed traveled a mile ahead. These guys weren’t backing down. They planned to rob the Magarelli’s casino.
Craig, they’ve turned onto the side road of the casino. They’re driving toward the back of the building. Keep guys in place business as usual. We’ll park in the parking garage. See you on the first floor.
Gio disconnected the call.
He reached into the dark duffel bag, retrieving the weapons.
I steered the car along the winding ramp, parking on the rooftop deck. Gio placed two Glock’s and muzzles in my hand. I screwed on the silencer’s respectively as I glanced out of the side mirror.
“Gio, let’s move.” We concealed our weapons before exiting the car. Gio slid the duffel bag strap across the side of his body. Securing our caps on our heads, we walked through the packed parking lot toward the staircase.
I peeked over the metal rail from the third floor. One of the men guarded the first-floor door, wearing a security uniform, guns in holsters. Glancing over my shoulder at Gio, I raised one finger, then pointed down. He nodded and halted.
I staggered down the stairs. “I think I drank too much,” I moaned, clutching my stomach.
“Sir, this entrance is closed. You’ll have to return to the second floor and use the elevator,” he ordered, walking toward me.
Stopping on the last step, I lowered my head. “Please, I doubt, I’ll make it.”
“Sir, I’m sorry.”
I raised my head and smiled. “Me too.” Gripping his shirt, I kneed him in his stomach and tossed him to the ground.
He reached for his gun.
“Not another fucking move,” Gio stated stepping past me, placing the muzzle against the man’s head.
“Your friend Daniel pers
uaded you to rob the wrong people. You never steal from the Magarelli’s. Nessuna pietà.”
The slug released from the Silencer, penetrating his head. Gio placed his gun against the small of his back. I opened the door. Gio walked through the door and I followed. He nodded to a guy to his right. The guy walked past us through the staircase door.
The lights above shined bright. Casino machines lit up, dinged, and rang to our left. Guests shouted and laughed enjoying their drinks. Our eyes landed on the main cash cage.
“That’s where they are, Dom.”
I nodded. Our security guys were in place throughout. Two men hid behind sunglasses, guarding the cash cage door. Gio halted, speaking to Craig. Stepping to the window, I removed cash from my pocket. “Hello, I need five hundred dollars in chips please.”
The woman smiled. I peered over her shoulder. Three guys walked into the vault. I peeked to my right, Gio and Craig held their weapons low, pointing them toward the guards. One of the men opened the door, stepping inside, Gio and Craig followed.
The cashier placed a tray of chips before me. “Thank you.”
“Good luck.”
Keeping my head low, I walked down the long corridor into a special room.
I sat on the long silver table for what felt like forever. My heartbeat thudded my chest. Hopefully, Gio and our men are fine. I didn’t hear any gun shots. That was a good sign.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
DOMINIC
The door flew open and I exhaled. The thieves were pushed through the door one by one. Daniel was the last one inside. They lined up against the wall. I smiled removing my cap from my head.
“Welcome, Daniel.”
He gasped. “Mr. Magarelli. What are you doing here?”
“Daniel, have a seat.”
He visibly swallowed frozen in place.
“Gio, latex gloves please.”
He reached into the bag, tossed me and Craig a pair.
We pulled the gloves over our large hands.
“You heard the boss. Have a seat.” Craig grabbed Daniel by his dealer uniform collar and placed his ass in the chair.
“Craig, thank you. Gio and I can handle it from here.”
“No, disrespect Mr. Magarelli, but I’d like to stay. If you are worried about my hands getting dirty don’t. I’ve put in work for this family for years.”
Gio planted his hand on his broad shoulder. “That’s true, Dom. Since Tony passed Craig has assisted me on a few jobs. Sergio sent him to Vegas to run the Casino security team. He enlightened Serg on what transpired here. He was ordered to stand down until we arrived and assist with cleaning up the mess.”
“Daniel, what the fuck man! You said this was a clean job,” the man gripped his blonde hair.
I raised my gun and pulled the trigger. The bullet slammed into his head and he fell to the floor.
This wasn’t a friendly meeting. I wasn’t here to play nice. Remorse. Fuck remorse. You don’t still from us period.
“Shit, you killed Toby man,” the brown-haired man wailed.
“Craig, looks like you can stay.” His brown face brightened.
I stood, walking toward Daniel. Glock clutched in one hand. “Tell me why you chose to steal from the Magarelli’s.”
He squeezed his eyes shut. “My friend who monitors the surveillance cameras said he could manipulate the footage, if I could put a crew together, we could be in and out without harming anyone. We were supposed to meet later tonight and divide the cash.”
“Craig, how much was in the vault?”
“Three million dollars minus earnings from today.”
“Do we have his friend Toby?” I glanced between Gio and Craig.
“Yes, he’s in the other holding room. I’ll grab him,” Gio stated.
“Daniel, you killed these men.” I leaned forward meeting his scared gaze. “Their blood is on your hands,” I roared.
Tears streamed down his pale face and his lips trembled.
“I just wanted out of my grandmother’s house.”
Gio shoved Toby into the room, then closed and locked the door behind him.
“Good evening, Toby. Happy you could join us.”
“Why am I here? I didn’t do anything wrong. My job is to maintain security.”
I straightened my spine and walked over to Toby.
“You’re right. Correction. Your job is to keep the Casino safe. Not just watch surveillance footage and not report when a crime is being carried out. Right?”
“Yes, Mr. Magarelli.”
His eyes cut over to Craig. “Damn bro, you gone just let them kill a brother.”
Craig stepped closer and aimed the Glock at his knee.
“Nessuna pietà.”
The bullet released from the chamber shattering Toby’s knee. He fell to the floor, gripping his knee, screaming.
I glanced at Gio. “Shit, that’s got to hurt.”
“What the fuck man?”
“Your skin color doesn’t matter. When you steal from the Magarelli’s you have to pay.”
“Oh, my God.”
“Shit, we’re going to die!” The other five men,” groaned.
I patted Craig’s shoulder. “My father does know how to pick good men.”
Gio smiled.
“Craig, line the remaining men on their knees.”
He waved his gun in their faces. “You heard him. On your knees.”
Slowly, they staggered to their knees. “Please man, don’t do this?” One of the men cried. “We had no idea who you were.”
“Doesn’t excuse stealing from the Magarelli’s. Toby, Daniel. Which one of your friends should die first?”
“Come on man please, forgive us,” Daniel wept.
I slapped his face with my Glock. “Can’t decide no problem.”
I turned facing the row of men. Raising my gun, I pulled the trigger and the bullet released, penetrating the skull of the first man. I glared into the eyes of each man. “Nessuna pietà,” I growled, as I shot them one by one.
“I don’t want to die!” Toby cried rocking back and forth on the floor.
“To late. Gio, toss the bag of goodies on the table,” I snickered.
“Daniel, we’ll kill you last. You’ll watch everyone die before you. After all it was your idea to rob our casino.”
I motioned my gun toward Gio and Craig. “Toss Toby on the table and hold him down.”
“No! No! Please, no.”
This is a panic room,” I said strolling around the table.
“You can scream as loud as you want. No one will hear you,” I laughed like a mad man. Hell, I was a mad man. I placed my Glock in my jeans against the small of my back. Rummaging through the duffel bag, my eyes met my tool of choice. I retrieved the circular saw and a rag.
Toby’s wide, scared, shitless eyes followed my every move.
I shoved a rag in his mouth. “Strap him to the table fellas.”
Daniel’s eyes shot toward the door.
“Not a chance of you getting out of this room, Daniel. Gio has the key,” I chuckled. “You can try and tackle the brut for the key. I’ll watch him fling your lanky ass across the room,” I laughed.
He clenched his eyes shut.
“Nope, nope. Watch me Daniel, or I can cut your arm off and make you watch.”
His eyes opened wide.
I powered on the saw and lowered it above Toby’s busted knee.
Muffled sounds escaped Toby’s mouth around the rag. Lowering the blade, I cut through his thigh, flesh, muscle, and bone. Blood seeped onto the metal table.
I stepped back chest heaving. “Torturing you both is in order since you two created the plan to rob my family.”
Toby’s body convulsed probably due to the amount of blood loss. While he screamed I hovered over his face.
“This will only hurt a little bit.”
The blade severed through his neck as he gurgled blood, his head detached from his lower body.
Gio laid a plastic
sheet beside the table.
“Craig, I’ll help you wrap the other bodies,” Gio stated.
Daniel shook his head. “You people are trained killers.” His eyes bulged.
I clapped my hands. “Very good, Daniel.” I unbuckled Toby’s body from the restraints then threw his body onto the plastic sheet.
I glanced at Daniel. “Your turn.”
Stalking toward him, I grabbed him up by his shirt then tossed him onto the table.
He cried like a baby. I guess begging me to stop was out.
“Daniel, I am going to make your torture a little more painful. No electric saw for you,” I stated, strapping him to the table.
I retrieved a hand saw from the duffel bag. “I want to hear you scream at the top of your lungs.” I closed my eyes and inhaled. “It gives me solace to torture you.”
My lips curled. “I was trained to kill by the best. My grandfather. I am going to cut off each of your limbs then I’ll carve out your heart.”
