When the ceremony ended, Griffin spoke again. “Izzy, I have a gift for you.”
Izzy tilted her head. “Griffin, you have given me your love, and now your name. What more could I need?”
Griffin reached into his pocket and pulled out a small gold item. He placed it in Izzy’s palm.
Tears filled her eyes. It was the rose brooch.
“Oh, Griffin!”
“This brooch brought us together, Izzy. I want you to have it as a reminder of my love for you, forever.”
