Love Undercover Page 19

“Don’t let me stop you.” His hand came to rest on my cheek. “I can’t wait to see my cock in your mouth again.”

I opened my mouth and swallowed him down, savoring his loud moans as I licked and sucked and hollowed my cheeks. I’d only done this once before, but this time was much easier. I found a rhythm that kept me from choking, and I rocked back and forth. I got one hand on his ass, holding his firm cheek as he tensed each time I enveloped his cock with my mouth.

“You look so good sucking my cock,” he said.

His words sent heat straight to my core. My pussy pulsed, getting wet as it ached for him. I clamped my legs together to ease the ache and focused on his cock.

I gripped the base with one hand, trying to find the right amount of pressure. It seemed like it was working, because a glance up at Owen showed that his face was slack with pleasure. He began to rock his hips, thrusting his cock in and out of my mouth gently.

“You can go harder,” I told him.

He brushed his hand over my cheek and then moved it up to my head. “Just shove me if it’s too much.”

I nodded and got his big cock back in my mouth. I held still as he began to thrust.

“You sucking my cock is amazing. And you letting me fuck your mouth is even more amazing.”

I kept my mouth open and my tongue flat, and as he pushed his cock in and out, my core grew wetter, dripping onto the ground.

He slowed his thrusts and pulled back. “I’m too close. And I want to come buried in your pussy.” He took his pants off the rest of the way and pulled a condom from his pocket. “Thank God these safehouses are well-stocked,” he said as he rolled the condom on. “I know you just got clean, but I’m going to get you all dirty again,” he said. He grabbed one of the few towels we’d found in the cabin, and threw it on the ground. He picked me up, mostly with his good arm, and laid me flat on the ground on top of the towel. He pushed my legs apart, exposing my pussy to the open air. “I need to be inside you.”

“I’m ready.” I pulled on his shoulders. “Don’t make me wait.” He knelt between my legs and slid his cock over my opening, teasing my entrance. “I’m wet for you.”

“I can feel that.” He pressed forward, filling me up with his cock. “You’re dripping.”

“I got that way from sucking your cock.”

He closed his eyes. “My once-virginal Kate is a tiger in bed,” he said.

“Just wait until I’ve had some more practice.” I lifted my hips and clenched down until my walls hugged his cock.

“As long as that practice is only with me,” he said.

“Of course. I don’t want your ego to get any bigger, but you are truly the only guy I’ve ever been into. Anyone that knows me can vouch for that.”

“I don’t need anyone else’s word for it,” he said. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”. I tossed my head back and pulled Owen closer as he thrust his cock in and out of my body.

There was something about making love under the open sky that was freeing, and I hoped we’d get to do it again.

Owen bent to lick at my nipple as he picked up the pace of his thrusts. My core tightened, ready for release. “I’m there.”

  “Touch yourself,” he said.

I did as he said, and slid my fingers down to rub my clit.

“If I watch, I’ll explode into a thousand pieces,” Owen said.

I couldn’t speak. I was too busy coming, finding my release with him.

He followed me over the cliff, and we lay together on the ground, snuggling until our skin grew clammy.

  A thought struck me.

“I do want to know your real name now, if you’ll tell me.”

“It’s Scott Michael Alexander. It’s a pretty average name.”

“It’s nice.” I put my hand on his arm. “But I’ll always think of you as Owen. It’s going to take me a while to make the change.”

He shrugged. “You can call me whatever you like.”

Afterward, we rinsed off in the creek again. The weather was really nice outside, but we were already sunburned all over. We went into the cabin to relax on a twin-bed-sized cot. It wasn’t nice at all, but we didn’t mind one bit.

I was back in the United States. Florida, to be exact, although the only scenery I’d seen was the inside of a concrete barracks and a meeting room.

“I’ve been desperate to visit Florida for my entire life, but my first trip here involved arriving via Air Force Base.”

He laughed. “I’ll be happy to show you around Florida if I’m allowed to leave the base.”

“I do have one favor to ask. Could you check on Mrs. Laurent and Gabriel? I know you said she spoke out in your favor to your supervisors, but I’d like to know where she is, and how Gabriel’s doing.”

“I’m not exactly high on anyone’s list of priorities right now, but I’ll see what I can do.”

“Thank you.” I looked around the bare room. “Is this how it usually goes when you come back into the country?”

“No. I usually fly back on a commercial flight. I’d have my passport and driver’s license stored somewhere safe, and once the assignment was over, I’d go get it, call my supervisor, and get a flight booked. It’s usually crowded airports, TSA lines, and fast food for me.”

“So you’re saying it’s not all fast cars and private jets. I tapped my cheek. “You know, I’ve worked for a millionaire crime boss, and been whisked away by a CIA agent, but I’ve yet to fly on a private jet.”

“I’ll see if I can make that happen,” he said. “The next time I pick up a job with an international terrorist.”

I was glad he was able to see some humor in the situation. I was on pins and needles waiting here, and I wasn’t even in trouble, although I was optimistic that Owen would eventually be cleared of any wrongdoing.

Owen’s satellite phone had been confiscated when we entered the base, but he used the phone in the room to call his supervisor. I tried not to eavesdrop as they talked. Eventually Owen asked him about Mrs. Laurent and Gabriel. For that part, I did watch Owen’s expression. He nodded a few times, and then thanked his supervisor before getting off the phone.

“Good news. Mrs. Laurent and the baby are fine. They’re already back at her family home in France. Apparently the uncle pulled some pretty powerful strings. She’d even left a phone number with him. She wants you to call her as soon as you’re able so Gabriel can see you on a video call.”

This delighted me, but I was still worried about Owen’s career.

“Did he say anything about your situation?”

“That’s a kind way to put it. My situation.” He pressed his hands against his eyes for a second. “Yes. He did. He said I’m going to be investigated, so until that time, I’m on mandatory leave. But I’m cleared to leave the base as long as I stay in the country.”

“Oh, Owen. I’m sorry about the investigation.”

“I knew it would happen. Now that I can leave, how would you feel about introducing me to your sister?”

“Oh my God! Are you serious?” I didn’t think I’d get to see my sister anytime soon, much less introduce her to Owen.

“Yes. Of course,” he said. “I’ll rent us a car and we’ll drive to Alabama tomorrow.”

“I would love nothing more than to take you to meet my sister. Thank you for offering.”

Because it seemed appropriate after all we’d been through, I took Owen to the lake I’d visited as a teen. It didn’t have the Andes mountains looming in the distance, and we had to douse ourselves in bug spray to sit outside in the evening, but it was home.

We’d packed a picnic, and picked up my sister so she could meet Owen.

We’d been sitting by the lake for two hours when the fireflies came out. Owen and I chased a few of them together, holding hands the whole time.

“I never thought I’d see the day.” Ashley laughed at our joined hands.

I pointed a finger at her. “Don’t start.”

“I want to hear this,” Owen said.

“She was the most anti-man person you’d ever met!”

  “I was not anti-man. I was anti-relationship,” I corrected.

My sister rolled her eyes. “Same no difference.”

“There is a really big difference,” I said.

Owen watched us with an amused smile on his face.

“Aren’t you going to defend me?” I asked.

Owen held his hands up, palms out. “Oh no, I’m not getting in between two sisters. I know better.”

  “He’s a keeper,” Ashley said.

I happened to agree. I walked over and hugged my sister tight.

  “What’s that for?” she asked.

“Just glad to see you.” I couldn’t tell my sister much of what happened, which sucked because I usually shared so much of my life with her.

As far as she knew, Owen really was a corporate accountant that I’d met in Santiago. I figured if we stayed together, we’d make up a story about him applying for a government job. Assuming he still had his job. We didn’t have any official news about the investigation into his actions on the mission, but we were hopeful. He’d heard from several sources that he’d get a slap on the wrist and be able to move on.

But even with all the worry, I was so grateful we were home, and that we had each other. And now I had Ashley too.

When I moved away from our embrace, Owen was facing us.

“Kate, I wouldn’t usually do this with an audience, but I know how special your sister is to you, and I’ve already talked to her about this.”

Then to my shock, Owen got down on one knee.

“We met just a few months ago, but I feel like we’ve lived several lifetimes together.” He pulled a small box from his pocket. “Kate Elizabeth Alcott, will you marry me?”

“Yes!” I rushed forward and knelt in front of him. I’d found it impossible to start thinking of Owen as Scott, but he didn’t seem to mind at all. “Owen Scott Michael Alexander, I would love to marry you!”

Behind us, my sister was filming the whole thing on her phone and trying to clap at the same time.

I kissed Owen, making sure she got it on video and then I rushed toward her. “You knew about this?”

Ashley laughed. “Yes. And you may be a world traveler now, but you are not allowed to elope. I want to give you away, and be the maid of honor.”

“That sounds perfect,” I said. And I rushed back to Owen and threw my arms around him.

  Epilogue

  Owen

  Two years later...

“Hi, honey, I’m home,” I called out. It was cheesy as hell, but saying it never got old. Not when I walked into the home I shared with Kate.

I heard her laugh from the bedroom.

When she came out, she was dressed in a white sundress that looked amazing with her tan skin. Even after all the craziness of the mission in Chile, she’d kept the elegant style that she’d adopted there, even when her classmates teased her.

“I have big news,” she said.

  “Yeah?” I asked.

  “Do you want to guess?”

“Um. You finished your thesis?” Kate was due to graduate in August with her master’s degree in social work, just like she’d always planned. She’d been working non-stop on her paper.

“Almost,” she said. “I have about two more days’ worth of work.”

“You won the lottery? You’re certainly grinning big enough.” I moved in to wrap my arm around her and kiss her on the cheek. “How much was it? Are we millionaires?”

She leaned in for another kiss. “Even better than both of those things.”

“Better than the lottery?” I tugged my tie off. I wasn’t working undercover these days, but I was still a field agent for the CIA. I’d spent the whole day interviewing a group from Ireland that we’d apprehended at the airport.

  “Yes, it is definitely better!”

  “So tell me.”

She opened a drawer and pulled a stick out. She shoved it into my hands.

  “What is this?”

  “Look closer.”

EPT? Where have I heard that before? And there were two lines… “You’re pregnant?”

She nodded her head up and down. “Yes!”

I dropped the test on the couch and picked her up, spinning her around. I stopped suddenly. “Oh, wait,” I said. Isn’t spinning bad for babies? Or is that something else? I had a lot of reading to do. “Maybe I shouldn’t do that.”

“It’s fine. I don’t have morning sickness just yet.”

“Wow.” I was still trying to wrap my head around it. “When’s the due date?”

“I don’t have a doctor’s appointment yet, but it should be around March or April.”

“A spring baby.” I put my hand over her flat stomach. “Hi, baby. I’m excited to meet you,” I said.

“I need to text my sister, and Mrs. Laurent.”

Even after two years had passed, Kate kept in touch with Mrs. Laurent who was living in Paris with Gabriel, who was three now.

“At least you’ll know something about babies,” I said. “I’ll be starting from scratch.”

“Gabriel was nine months old when I met him. I’ll have to learn about newborns too.”

I sat down on the couch and pulled her onto my lap. “I think we’ll be able to learn together,” I said. “Two years ago when we were hiking through Argentina, who ever thought we’d end up here?”

“I had a pretty good feeling about us,” she said. She smiled down at me, and leaned in for a kiss.
