“How is us playing trivia games on deployment important?”
“It gives me insight into you. I know you a little better when I hear stories like that.”
Cage shrugged dismissively. “Well, beam me up, Scotty, because we’re about to head into the Troubles!”
“Aye Aye, Captain. Scott out!” she replied, happy she could now play along.
When he stared at her, open mouthed, she laughed. “Google is my friend.”
“Then I can be assured you’ll catch up with the rest of us mindless idiots fast enough.”
Adie laughed and hugged him. “My turn to congratulate you on a job well done. And maybe a little gratitude thrown in for good measure. I doubt I could have done any of this without you. Not just the Mysteries. My new life. I’m more than grateful!”
Cage hugged her back.
