“Have you met the rest of the boys in the band?” Irene asked, and I shook my head.
“I hope to. I can see how close they are and might try to plan a band dinner or something. I met Micah before interviewing the band.” Her eyes lit up, and I chuckled.
“They’re wonderful. They’ve all been friends for some time, and they’re so responsible. I think they could become bigger as a band, but they have things here. Ryan has the sweetest baby that I try to see once a week.”
“You’re all like a big family, aren’t you?” She giggled and nodded.
“Yes. They come over on holidays just for a quick visit if they can. Poor Mallory has another group of overprotective brothers that drive her insane. I appreciate that.” I nodded and glanced up as Micah strode into the house, heading to the sink to wash his hands.
“Are you being nice, Mom?” He sat beside me, and I breathed in the refreshing scent that he brought in as well as his body heat.
“Always. He’s a sweet boy.” He sighed and closed his eyes. “What? You’re both young.”
“Mom, you had Mal when you were twenty-three years old. You’re young.” I laughed and reached for my water.
“You are. My mom is fifty, but a very young fifty.” I smiled, and she grinned at me. “My stepmom is forty-four.” She raised a brow, and I shrugged. “She was young when she had twins.”
“You’re sweet for helping her out. What was wrong with her for you to come home?” I didn’t mind her inquisitive nature.
“She has fibromyalgia. It's not the worst form of it, but she is in a lot of pain most of the time. Anything extra like the cold and flu she recently got, only adds to her burdens.” Irene nodded with a serious look in her eyes.
“I can help her with anything she needs as well. She’s close?” I nodded.
“Mom, you have Nana to take care of,” Micah reminded her, and she waved a hand in the air.
“She’s still doing fine. We just wanted her to rest more. I still have a life outside of the house.” Her face was stern, and he smiled. “I’m serious, Keller. I’m here if you need anything. I had teenagers once, and it was not easy.”
“Thank you. I appreciate that.”
Mallory told us that she had a video interview in the morning, and we agreed to leave. Irene loaded us up with bags of food, and we chatted for another fifteen minutes before getting into the car. I smiled and looked at him as we drove toward the main street. “That was great. Thank you.”
“Are you coming for dinner at Ryan’s Tuesday?” Mallory asked, and Micah’s face lit up.
“I forgot about that. Want to? They make a huge meal, and the band comes over if they can make it.”
“Oh, he’s a member? That’s great. Would they talk to me about the band?” I asked, and he nodded.
“This is him and his wife keeping everyone together now that they have Marley. She’s one and a half and keeps them busy.” Mallory sounded weary in the back.
“Your mom told me about her. She sees them.” Micah nodded.
“That’s her granddaughter in her eyes.” He laughed as Mallory groaned in the back.
“Maybe it will keep her from bugging us about it.” I laughed at her complaint.
We arrived back at the houses and split up the bags. Mallory told us that she was going to bed and hugged us. Micah watched her walk to her door and close it, shaking his head. “I worry about her when she gets tired like this.”
“Your mom mentioned an old boyfriend. Not the details, but I got the gist.” He nodded and glanced at me.
“I worry about her. I sometimes think that she’ll see him or let him into the house during a weak moment.” He led me to his door and glanced over as he slid the key in the lock. “Do you want to come in?”
“I would if you’re up for that.” He nodded, and we went inside and put the food away. It looked to be lasagna and dessert. I grabbed a beer from the fridge and handed him one, getting one for myself after he accepted it. I took his hand and brought him to the couch to sit down. “Relax. Your family is amazing.”
“I know they are. I don’t take that for granted.” He sipped his beer and turned his head to gaze at me. “I’d love for you to join me for dinner at Ryan’s house as well.”
“Yeah. That sounds fun.” I smiled and eased closer to kiss him. He responded easily, and I managed to get our bottles to the table. I cupped his cheek and deepened the kiss as he moaned against my mouth. I didn’t want to stop this time and tilted my head. Micah groaned, and I turned to face him, pushing him back to the couch as I moved between his legs.
“Keller, you’re killing me,” he murmured as I nibbled on his jaw gently. We were both hard, and he raised his hips to grind against me. Micah dropped his head back, and I kissed down his neck slowly, teasing him as I propped myself over him.
“Tell me if you want me to stop.” I kept kissing his neck, sliding his shirt aside to kiss the skin of his shoulder. I bit down, and he jerked against me, crying out my name.
“Bed. Let’s go to bed.” I pushed myself up and held out my hand to help him up. We hurried to the bedroom, and I stripped off his shirt before tossing mine aside. Micah pushed me to the bed and crawled over me, kissing my stomach up to my chest as I sucked my breath in. We didn’t get this intimate last night, choosing fast relief and sleep. I wasn’t in that kind of hurry tonight.
When he drew my nipple between his teeth, I gasped his name. His hand slid down my stomach and over my pants over my erection, squeezing gently. I moaned, arching into him as I felt his teeth again. Micah pulled away, and I gazed at him as he towered above me. “I want you. I shouldn’t want to move this fast, but everything about tonight makes me want to jump into this, to you.”
He moved his hands to my pants, hesitating for a moment before removing them. I was hard as hell, and he tossed the pants aside before gripping me in his hand. I hissed and arched forward, needing more. Micah moaned as he stroked up and down, gripping me harder. I cried out when he covered me with his mouth, sucking hard. I cried out his name, sliding my hands into his messy hair to hold him closer to me. Micah bobbed over me, wrapping his wet mouth around me until I was telling him how close I was to cumming. He only moved faster, and soon I was crying out his name and filling his throat.
Micah fell beside me as I panted, trying to recover from my explosive orgasm. His hand rested on my stomach as I breathed deeply, causing his heat to shoot right inside me. “Do you…can I make you feel good?”
“I want to bend you over and take you, Keller. I want to cum so deep inside of you that you’ll never forget me.” I moaned at his words, starting to move for him. “What is it about you? Why do I want you so much?”
“I want you the same way. Take me, Micah. Make me yours.” He didn’t need more. Micah turned me to my stomach as I positioned myself on my knees. He reached into a drawer, and I heard the sound of something squirting out of a tube.
“I’m clean, Keller. I check that, particularly after a breakup. I want to feel you bare.”
“I trust you, Micah. Just fuck me.” I felt his hand rub over me with lube before positioning himself. I felt him entering me and moaned as he moved slowly. He allowed me to adjust until I was rocking back into him, needing all of Micah. He cried out my name before he jerked slowly, stilling as he came inside of me.
We dropped to the bed together, and I shivered against Micah’s hold on me. I felt him move after a few minutes, going into the bathroom and running the water. He returned with a warm cloth and cleaned me gently as I closed my eyes. “Will you stay with me tonight?”
“I couldn’t move if I wanted to.” He chuckled and covered us with the blankets before pulling me close. I closed my eyes and let the heat of his bare skin fill me before everything went black.
Chapter Six
Micah
I woke up in the morning, and memories flooded me from the night before. I remained still, feeling Keller’s arms wrapped around me as I smiled. Last night happened quickly,
but that didn’t have to be a bad thing.
I asked him to meet my family last night. I enjoyed seeing them bond and get to know each other and knew they would want him back over. I knew that Mallory would be over to talk about it, but I didn’t want to do that in front of Keller. I didn’t want to talk to Mom with him here, either.
“Morning.” His sleepy voice came from behind me as he stretched.
“Good morning. Did I wake you?” I murmured as he leaned in to kiss my neck.
“No, not at all. I’m not a late sleeper by nature.” He yawned, and I felt his cock brush against my back. “Should I apologize for that?”
“No. I’m not particular about being a top or bottom so that you know.” I smiled as he wrapped his arm tighter around me.
“You seem dominant after last night,” Keller observed, and I chuckled.
“I just needed to be inside of you. I’m open to anything.” I grinned as I felt his eyes on me.
“Are you open to this being something serious?” I looked at him. “I like being with you. I liked having dinner with your family. I like waking up like this.”
“I feel the same way. Last night was incredible, Keller. All of it.” He pressed close to me and felt his bare skin against mine. “I know that I don’t want to see anyone else. That’s not my style. I know that I can’t imagine this with anyone else.” His hand slipped around my waist, and I groaned as he slid it up to my chest. “You enjoyed dinner?”
“It was great. The food was amazing, and your family was wonderful. I felt welcomed there.” His mouth pressed against my back, and I moaned gently. He slipped a finger over my nipple and pinched, making me jerk forward. “I’d like to find a way to thank you.”
“I’m sure we’ll find a way. Let’s think about that.” His hand slid down to grip my cock, and I clawed at the air.
“My mouth on you is a great thought. Your body wrapped around my cock sounds even better. I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of you.” He started to stroke and pushed me to my stomach. “Where was that lube?”
“Drawer on the right,” I grunted as he used his free hand to stretch and get it. He let go of me, and I heard the cap open.
“Do you want me?” He asked as I cried out that I did. He slipped a slick hand over me, and then I heard him stroking his cock. “On your knees.” I complied easily, knowing I’d give this man anything.
He took me slow and deep, making me cry out as I gripped the sheets. I rocked back against him, feeling warmth wash over me. This man was everything. I jerked back before reaching for my boxers to catch my orgasm as he cried out my name. Keller filled me, and I arched against him, breathing heavily.
We dropped to the mattress and recovered together, heavily breathing as we curled up. “You feel so damn good.” I reached back to touch him, and he took my hand. “You’re addictive.”
“Is Mal coming over today?” Keller asked a few minutes later, and I glanced toward the clock.
“She usually does. We work together in the mornings.” I looked at him with a smile. “You should bring your laptop and work with us.”
“That would make it easier to stay the night with you. I could kill two birds with one stone.” I could see that he was pretending to think about it and reached out to smack his ass.
“Let’s make some coffee. You’re welcome to hang out with us.” We rose and cleaned up before getting dressed. I reached the kitchen first and made the coffee while he followed to look in the fridge for breakfast.
“Want to have leftovers for breakfast?” He asked as I laughed.
“There’s enough to eat that all day, isn’t there?”
“Probably. I could make some French toast and cut up some fruit. I think I’m still partially full from last night.” He looked at me, and I raised a brow.
“You’re full after that exercise? I must be doing something wrong.” I laughed, and he rolled his eyes. “I think you should be hungry.”
“Shut up and make coffee.” The doorbell rang, and he went to get it, greeting Mallory as she walked inside. She followed him in to pour some coffee and smiled at me. “It’s almost done.”
“We should make some cold brew. Have you had that?” Mallory asked as I shook my head. “Just pop it in the fridge, and it’s ready. So good. I had it over at Kathy’s house.”
“Buy me one next time we’re out,” I suggested, and she nodded. Keller suggested his breakfast idea to her, and she agreed, asking for about an hour. We were all full from dinner.
We settled at the table with coffee to work, and Keller took the couch. He claimed that he was finished with my article and had planned on Thursday to see another band. They were great and friends of mine, but we played that night. Keller looked at me and frowned when he saw my expression. “You’re playing, aren’t you?”
“Yeah. We are.” Mallory looked at me and then to Keller before glancing back at her computer.
“I’ll come to the bar when I finish if there’s time. Or here.” I smiled and nodded as I wondered what was bothering me about the situation. It was a fucking performance, just like any other performance.
“I’ll come to see you. I don’t do that enough, and I need to get Kathy out of her place. She broke up with Eddie.” I smiled gratefully at my sister as she searched my face.
“I’d like that.” We got back to work, and Keller checked his phone as he had the TV on low. I liked that he was here with us even if I was still thinking about the following night. Keller knew that I didn’t want anyone else. We were fine.
Mom stopped by around lunchtime, pleased to see Keller. She hugged us and explained that she got a chance to leave her house. I suggested the breakfast we never made, and she agreed, telling us she’d cook. Keller joined her in the small kitchen to cut up the fruit, and they chatted about his article.
Everything was great when we sat around to eat since Mom always brightened up any room. It was a nice break from work, and Mallory told her she’d stop by the following day to have lunch over there. When Mom left, she gave us all hugs and disappeared through the door.
“I told Larissa that I’d help her plan one of her freelance meetings today, so I am off.” Mallory shut down her computer and stretched a few minutes later. “I think I might take tomorrow off.”
“What?” I asked as she shot me a glare. “Kidding. You’ve worked hard, Mal.” I smiled.
“It’ll give you two some time alone.” She laughed as Keller blushed.
“We won’t complain about that.” I winked at him, and he turned his face toward the TV.
“Have a good night, you two.” Mallory stood and grinned at me. “Mind if I leave this here?” She gestured toward her laptop, and I nodded. “Thanks. Bye, Keller!”
“We have the place to ourselves for a whole night. What should we do?” I asked as I moved to join Keller on the couch.
“You’re such an ass.” His voice was low, and I laughed.
“I know I like your ass.” I kissed Keller’s shoulder, and he dropped his head back. “I think that we should go out to dinner for one. I don’t want you to think I’m using you for your body.” Keller laughed, and I kissed his cheek. “We can get your laptop after and come back here and stay up late.”
“That does sound fun. Is it a date?” He teased me as he turned his face toward mine. I kissed him, and he leaned into me.
“Yes, it’s a date. I want you for much more than just this.” We kissed again and lingered there, getting lost in the moment. We watched a movie for a while and chatted through it, holding hands and laughing. I liked being with him for so many reasons and glanced at my phone when the movie ended. “I should make a reservation. Where would you like to go?”
“I’m not picky. I guess I like seafood the best.” Keller shrugged, and I grinned.
“I know just the place.” I found the number to the restaurant that Mom liked and called for a seven o’clock reservation.
“I think I’ll need to at least change into something else.”
>
“We can stop by your place. It’s okay that you’re here, right? I know you want to help with the twins.” I gazed at him, and he smiled.
“They have been asking where I’m at. Stopping by would be a great idea, and they could meet you. I think all of them want to meet you.” He blushed, and I squeezed his hand.
“I’d like that.” This was moving so fast, but I was helpless to stop it. We hung out for a bit longer before taking a shower. He put on the jeans and shirt that he’d been wearing with plans to change when he arrived home. We were good and didn’t end up in bed, but I had plans for that later.
I drove us, following Keller’s directions to a modest ranch house on the edge of the city. It was well taken care of, and I suspected that Keller had a lot to do with that. I knew that his stepmom was sick recently, and the girls were at a busy part of their lives. He invited me inside, and I accepted, following him to the front door. Keller unlocked it and pushed the door open, calling out as we walked inside. I took an appreciative look around as someone called back to him. The door opened to a foyer, then into an open living room. A woman with brown hair walked around the corner with a smile on her face. She was a beautiful woman but looked tired.
“Oh, my. You must be Micah.” She paused to lean against a couch, and I walked to her, accepting her hug.
“I am, and you must be Evelyn.” She was frail as I embraced her.
“I am. It’s good to meet you.” I pulled away to look at her as she smiled. I told her that I felt the same way and told her to have a seat, asking if she needed anything. Keller was beside us at this point, and he helped her down to the couch.
“I was going to figure out some dinner for the girls. I’m just tired from that cold.” She smiled weakly, and I shared a look with Keller.
“They’re home soon?” He asked as he looked at the clock.
“An hour. They’re studying with friends.”
“Why don’t we order some take out for everyone? What do you ladies like?” I offered as Keller stared at me.
