Sierra emerged from the shadows. While she was supposed to be out of town for the mayor, she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to attend the wedding. Emily and she weren’t close. In fact, there remained some animosity between them. Before her turn to fighting evil, instead of being a part of it, she had done some despicable acts. In fact, she was the one who had hired Abby’s attacker. It was still something her friend and partner didn’t know she had done.
It wasn’t long before Sierra had made her way to her fiancée. The joke now was betting on who would be the next to marry. Would it be Sierra and Desiree or would it be Max and Peter? Right now, all that mattered was the fact everyone was with their families. That everyone was celebrating life. That finally, for a moment in time, there was peace and happiness in the city of Middletown.

Mitch was on his knees. He’d never, in all the years of combat and bounty hunting, ever been in this position before. Lena was good. She was scarily good. But it wasn’t the cook who had him down on his knees. It was the woman he had saved Sam and Abby from. Saved might be too strong of a word. But it was not far from the truth. And he knew the woman would want revenge. Or worse, she would want to use him to hurt them. In a way, he hoped it was to use him. Or else he would die here and now.
“Relax.” The woman wore a mask to cover her features. It wasn’t because she was afraid of Mitch discovering who she was. In fact, she knew he had discovered her name. That was why Sam and Abby were now walking free and the vengeance she had sought eluded her still. In a way, it made things more interesting. It made the journey of life that much more interesting. “I’m not going to kill you. I should. If only to send a message. But that’s not my style. When I want something done, I do it myself.”
“That’s why there is at least one detective caught on tape with you.” Mitch waited. There was no striking. There was no flinching in the woman’s cobalt eyes. If there had been, Mitch would have been shocked. He would have been more than shocked. He would have been stunned into inaction. Now, he was biding his time. Waiting to see if he could make an escape or if the woman would grant him his freedom.
“It took all of you long enough to find my little pieces of the puzzle.” The woman in black came towards her captive. His hands were tied behind his back using a plastic tie. His ankles were as well. Mitch wasn’t badly beaten, but enough so that it was noticeable and he was in a very weakened state. The woman knew how to torture, without leaving a mark. “I’ve been leaving clues ever since…”
When she trailed off, Mitch knew she had nearly revealed too much. This woman wasn’t Jenny. This woman wasn’t Wild Bill. This woman wasn’t Anthony. It was scary, but she was like all of them wrapped into one. And there was another important ingredient. It was as if there was a part of Sam in her. That wasn’t possible, was it?
“It doesn’t matter how long. All that matters is the fact I’ve been outplaying the lot of you.” The woman removed her mask. After shaking her head, her raven, silky hair that appeared to be windblown even though they were inside some dark warehouse or something similar was revealed. Her cobalt eyes were eerily familiar, yet cold and unforgiving. “The fact is the name Senneca will become a name whispered throughout eternity. It will be the sign of the devil. And those that oppose me shall feel the eternal flames I am capable of.”
