To Boston, With Love Page 19

“I need a nap.” Indigo yawned as she got out of the car and walked into the hotel’s lobby.

She had never been there before but it was nicer than the one that they went to before. Draco and Jaci weren’t lying when they said that it was fancy. Boss wanted the hot tub, but Indigo wanted the bed. She knew that he wasn’t going to let her sleep and she was prepared for it.

When she got off the elevator, she walked down the hall until she got to the room number that Boss had given her. She knocked on the door and he opened it a minute later. Indigo paused when she walked in and saw the massage table and oils that was set up. A lady was standing there wearing black scrubs with a company logo on front.

“Close your mouth. You need this more than anything,” Boss said when he saw the shocked expression on her face.

“Aww, this was so sweet of you, Boston.” Indigo smiled as she kissed him.

The room was huge and smelled like vanilla. The lights were off but it was illuminated by the soft glow of candles. The hot tub was filled with rose petals, and Indigo couldn’t wait to sit in the bubbling hot water. There was a bottle of champagne with two glasses sitting on the edge and she was ready for that too.

“Here, put this on, so she can get started. I’m paying by the hour,” Boss joked while handing her a red silk robe.

Indigo wasted no time rushing to the bathroom to undress. Once she was done, she laid down on the table, ready to be pampered. Boss sat outside on the balcony and smoked while Indigo got the best massage that she’d ever received in her life. Her body felt light as a feather afterwards and she was already looking forward to doing it again. She was happy when Boss gave the masseuse a big tip because she deserved it. Once she left, Indigo dropped her robe and got straight into the hot tub, and Boston joined her.

“Thank you boo. This was so perfect,” Indigo said as she sipped her champagne.

“You deserve it baby. You been in your bag lately, but you need to relax sometimes. Money is good. You don’t have to work so hard,” Boss replied.

“Yeah, I was just thinking about that. I’m gonna miss my tips but I might have to give up one of the bars,” Indigo said.

“Give up both of them. I told you that I’m gonna add your name to the account that Bear gave me and you can do whatever you want with it. Shit, I can’t miss what I never had.” Boss shrugged.

The account that his father gave him had over two hundred thousand dollars in it. Boss wasn’t expecting it to be nearly as much, but he was grateful. He and his father were slowly forming a bond and building a father/son relationship. They were getting to know each other and Boss was surprised to know that they had so much in common. Bear loved to shoot pool too and he had a table set up in his garage. He was also infatuated with motorcycles and he and Boss planned to go riding together sometimes.

“I don’t even want to think about all that right now. This water feels too damn good,” Indigo sighed in contentment.

“Let me make you feel better,” Boss said as he picked her up and sat her on the edge of the hot tub.

He spread her legs wide and got in position right between them. Indigo arched her back as Boss closed his mouth over her clit, sucking it like a piece of hard candy. He spread her legs wider and ate her up like she was his favorite meal.

“Fuck!” Indigo squealed while thrusting her hips forward and riding his tongue like a tidal wave. She grabbed the back of his head and begged him not to stop.

“Look at me,” Boss demanded, prompting her to open her eyes.

Their connection was intense and so was the orgasm that was building in the pit of her belly. Boss had her entire pussy in his mouth and he was doing some strange things with his tongue. A tear slipped from Indigo’s eye as her juices flowed from her middle like a river. Her body quivered and it felt like she would never stop shaking. In that moment, she knew that she was in love and would probably never love another man as much as she loved Boston.

“Boss, stop, please,” Indigo begged when she saw that he still wasn’t done with her.

He lifted his head with the cocky smirk that he always wore when he made her tap out. She had barely caught her breath when he picked her up and sat her down on his dick. They engaged in a sloppy kiss as he bounced Indigo up and down slowly. The warm water splashed all around them as their tongues explored each other’s mouth.

“I love you,” Indigo said when they finally came up for air.

“I love you too, baby. I love your whole fucking life,” Boss said as he started bouncing her faster.

Indigo threw her head back and enjoyed the feel of the warm water, as well as her man. They made good use of the hot tub and every other part of the room, including the balcony, before they finally laid down to take a nap. A few hours later, Indigo was well rested and content. Boss ordered them something to eat and they laid around and chilled for a while. When Justice called her phone, Indigo got depressed. She didn’t answer for him because she wasn’t ready for her night to end.

“This is the part I hate,” Indigo sighed.

  “What part?” Boss asked.

  “Leaving,” Indigo replied.

“Don’t trip baby. There’s always tomorrow,” Boss said while kissing her neck.

“Well, until then, let me give you a little parting gift,” Indigo said as she climbed on top of him.

She kissed his chest and all the way down his body until she got to his erection. Boss was hard as a brick, as she stroked him and kissed the insides of his thighs. He was just about to fuss at her for teasing him until Indigo wrapped her lips around his dick and sucked him in.

“Fuck Indie. You doing your thang,” Boss hissed as he pulled her long hair. He knew that it wasn’t hers but the shit was sewed in tight enough not to come out.

He knew that he sounded like a bitch but he didn’t give a damn. Indigo had the tip of his dick touching her tonsils as she bobbed her head up and down his shaft. She was giving sloppy head, the kind that she knew he liked. She was sucking and stroking him while she used her free hand to massage his balls. Boss didn’t know what she was trying to prove, but she made her point. Indigo was going dumb on the dick and he didn’t think it was possible for him to fall any deeper in love with her. He was trying to be patient but he wanted Justice out of the picture.

“Shit Indie! I’m bout to cum!” he yelled out while gripping the sheets tight in his fist.

Boss felt his stomach tighten right before he shot a few of his babies down her throat. He felt lightheaded, as Indigo sucked him until his dick went limp in her mouth. Boss felt weak when she finally got up and looked at him.

“Stop acting like you’re the only one that can make a bitch tap out,” Indigo smirked as she got up and went to the bathroom.

She and Boss took a quick shower before they got dressed and ready to leave. It was getting harder for her to leave him and she knew that she had to make a decision soon. Truthfully, the decision was already made. She just had to come clean and break the bad news to Justice.

“Why you looking so sad?” Boss asked as they walked to the door.

“No reason. I’m okay,” Indigo replied.

“Stop looking like that Indie. We’ll see each other tomorrow,” he said when she opened the door.

“I know,” Indigo replied with a forced smile.

Boss hated to see her look so sad, but there was only so much that he could do. He grabbed her chin and lifted her head up so that he could look into her eyes. Words didn’t always have to be spoken between them and their eyes often said what their lips didn’t. Boss used his tongue to part her lips for a kiss. He hated to part ways with her too but he didn’t want to make things harder than they already were. He wanted their kiss to last forever, but time wasn’t on their side.

“The fuck! Indigo!” someone yelled, startling them both.

A huge lump formed in Indigo’s throat when she saw Justice standing there scowling at them. She had to be dreaming. She prayed that she was dreaming. As much as she
wanted to end things with him to be with Boston, she didn’t want him to find out that way. He looked crushed and she felt like shit for being the one to make him feel that way. She wondered what he was even doing there. He was supposed to be out with his brother. Not at the same hotel that she was in with her side nigga. As crazy as it sounded, Indigo would have been relieved if Justice was cheating on her. That would have given her a way out to be with the man that she really loved.

“What are you doing here?” Indigo asked, for lack of anything better to say.

“Are you serious right now? That’s a question that I should be asking you. How long have you been fucking your best friend?” Justice yelled as he walked up on her. His expression was a mask of anger and hurt as he got in Indigo’s face.

“Nah fam, that’s not even about to happen,” Boss said as he got in between them.

Justice had the entire game fucked up if he thought that he was about to put his hands on her. Boss would put a bullet in his head and bury his body before he let that happen. Justice wasn’t the violent type but he didn’t underestimate anyone when feelings were involved.

“I can’t believe this shit. All this time you’ve been having me around this nigga knowing that you were fucking him. He’s been to our house Indigo. I welcomed him in because you swore that he was like a brother to you. That’s fucked up on a whole new level.”

“It wasn’t even like that,” Indigo swore.

“How was it then? It all makes sense to me now though. I was wondering why you stopped complaining about me working so much. Your time was occupied with another nigga, so you no longer cared,” Justice fumed.

“You good baby. I’m about to head out. I’ll see you tomorrow,” Boss said as he looked at Indigo.

He was trying to refrain from telling Justice anything, but it was getting too hard. Justice was lame as fuck. There was no way in hell there would have been that much talking if the shoe was on the other foot. Boss would have started shooting the minute he saw his girl with her tongue in another nigga’s mouth. No explanation would be needed.

“Yeah, I’m good,” Indigo assured him. “See you later.”

“Is this a fucking joke? No, you will not be seeing him tomorrow or any other day. You need to make a decision Indigo. Right here, right now. It’s either me or him,” Justice said.

“You don’t even have to do all that love. I’m not going nowhere and you already know that,” Boss replied.

“You can’t have us both. As far as I’m concerned, you can’t even be his friend anymore,” Justice argued.

“Don’t stress baby. You already know what it is with me.” Boss shrugged.

Justice felt like he was losing his mind. Indigo actually looked torn. He wanted her to choose but he was scared about the decision that she would make. He had finally gotten with Lacey to get him and Indigo a hotel room. He spent all day with his brother and sister-in-law looking for her the perfect gifts. Lacey got the room but she didn’t have time to help him do anything else. He was thankful that his family came through for him though. They had the room decorated and he was ready to spend a romantic night with his woman before he popped the question. Justice forgot the ring in his car and he went back downstairs to get it. He wondered if he would have ever found out about them if he hadn’t. He had called Indigo at least five times and now he knew why she didn’t answer. Justice had to do something and he had to do it quick. He didn’t care how desperate he looked. He loved Indigo enough to make a fool of himself for her. He pulled the ring box from his pocket and dropped down to one knee.

“Baby, I love you. I love you more than anything in this world. I know that I didn’t always show it but I promise to change all that starting today. I know that my absence is what pushed you away but I love you enough to forgive you. Will you marry me, Indigo?” Justice asked in an almost pleading tone.

Boss was waiting for her to say something, but she never did. The uncertain look on her face was what had him baffled. It was almost as if she was actually considering marrying that clown. His heart broke when Justice slipped the ring on her finger and she didn’t stop him. He got his answer and she didn’t even have to open her mouth.

“Fuck you, Indie, straight up,” Boss said as he shook his head in disgust.

“What?” Indigo whispered, shocked by his words.

“You weak as fuck man,” Boss replied as he walked away. Boss loathed weak women. Hearing him refer to her that way tore her up inside.

“Boss!” she yelled as she tried to go after him.

“Are you seriously about to chase after him?” Justice asked as he pulled her back.

All the fight left Indigo once Boss left. She dropped to her knees before erupting in tears. Her entire body shook, as Justice picked her up and carried her down the hall to the room that he had rented for them. Indigo didn’t even notice the decorations or the gifts that he had strategically placed around the room for her. Her vision was blurry with the tears that couldn’t stop falling.

“Don’t cry baby. We’re gonna get through this together, I promise,” Justice said as he laid her down in the bed and got in behind her.

  “I’m sorry Justice,” Indigo sobbed.

“It’s okay baby. I owe you an apology too. I’m sorry for not being there like I should have been, but that’s all over with now. I promise to do a better job of being there for you, even if I have to find another job. I just want us to get married and put all of this behind us.”

“I just got caught cheating with my best friend Justice. Marriage should be the last thing on your mind at this point. Here, I can’t even wear this right now,” Indigo said as she took the ring off and shoved it into his hand.

“Indigo, please. You made a mistake but I don’t want that to tear us apart. I forgive you baby,” Justice assured her.

“Maybe you do but I don’t forgive myself. Just keep it. If it’s meant to be, it’ll happen,” Indigo replied.

“Just promise me that you’ll stay away from him, Indigo,” Justice begged.

He knew that he couldn’t compete with the bond that Boston and Indigo had. Now that he knew that they were more than best friends, his insecurity was at an all-time high.

“Don’t do this to me right now Justice. I can’t even think straight,” Indigo sniffled.

“It’s okay baby. We don’t have to talk about it right now,” Justice said as he kissed her forehead.

Indigo cried herself to sleep that night while Justice held her close. The words to Jazmine Sullivan’s song ‘In love with another man’ kept playing on repeat in her head. She was grieving over another man while he comforted her and whispered words of love in her ear.

“F uck!” Boss hissed as he jumped up from the bed and lit his blunt.

He was trying but he didn’t think that he could do it. His heart was racing and his thoughts were trying to consume him. It took everything in him not to call Lacey and tell her to come over, just so he could get some sleep. He needed a distraction but nothing seemed to work. He couldn’t focus on the tv and the radio only made things worse. He’d heard the song ‘Heart Attack’ by Trey Songz a million times, but the words took on a new meaning now that things weren’t right between him and Indigo. Dr. Everette challenged him to sleep by himself for just one night and he really was trying. Lacey had been there for the past few days but she was starting to annoy him. It was a problem when he started to hate the sound of her voice. Lacey hadn’t done anything wrong. She just wasn’t who he wanted to be around.

It had been five days since he last saw Indigo and Boss hadn’t been himself. Besides when she went to Florida with Justice, he couldn’t remember a time that he didn’t see Indigo every day. Even then, he would still talk to her. Now, all communication had ceased but it wasn’t that she didn’t try. Indigo called him all day, multiple times a day, but he never answered for her. He was too afraid of what she might say. Rejection was a part of life, but a rebuff from Indigo would be the end of him. He already felt lik
e he couldn’t breathe without her. His days and nights were getting harder and he had reverted back to some of his old ways. Indigo would be so disappointed in him for not being strong enough without her. She was his crutch and he wasn’t ashamed or afraid to admit that. Watching all the videos of her that he had in his phone wasn’t enough. He needed her just as much as he needed his next breath. When his phone rang, it took everything in him not to answer it. His hand hovered over it as he battled with himself on what he should do.

“Damn Indie. I need you, baby. I need you so fucking bad right now,” Boss said as he looked at the picture of her that flashed across his screen.

He wanted her to leave a message or text him to let him know where they stood. He couldn’t risk picking up the phone, only for her to crush his heart all over again. Indigo running off and marrying Justice was something that he just couldn’t fathom. His mind kept trying to make him believe that that’s what she was calling to say.

He had Draco and his father looking out for her to make sure that she was straight. He still hadn’t caught up with West yet and he didn’t trust his shady ass. Besides driving the bus every day, Boss really didn’t do anything else. It was almost midnight on a Friday and he was trying hard to run away from his thoughts. Sadly, that was the one thing that always followed, no matter where he went.

“One, two, three,” Boss counted as he did pushups on his bedroom floor.

Once he got to fifty, he jumped up and grabbed his weights from the closet. After working up a sweat, Boss took a shower and turned on the tv. His anxiety wouldn’t let him be still, so he paced his living room floor. He lit up another blunt and went out back to smoke it. Nothing seemed to work and Boss felt like the walls were closing in on him once he went back inside.
