"Don't worry. Let Savannah do her job. You said it’s in her genes. Who knows, it could work for you." Easy for her to say. Lira has never had to worry about dating. All through school she had boys falling at her feet. It didn't matter if they were jocks or dorks. They all loved her. It's the way she carries herself and treats others. When she talks to you, she listens and makes you feel special. It's a gift I wish I inherited from my mother. Unfortunately, I'm cute, but very dorky and introverted, like my dad.

Lira’s been with her current boyfriend for a couple of years and I wouldn’t be surprised if he proposed soon. It’s hard not to be envious. I can’t wait to get married and have a family of my own.

"I hope so." I'm afraid if Savannah can't help me, I'll be destined to live a very long, lonely life.

Thank you for reading Evening With The Evening! I hope you enjoyed Lily and Oliver’s story. If you did, why don’t you check out Seeking A Second Chance, Book Two in the #MatchMade Series, Maren and Bennett’s steamy story?

An artist with a bad track record when it comes to dating. An art gallery dealer that’s going through a major dry spell. A set-up that’s doomed from the start.

Helping her best friend, Savannah, build her dream matchmaking business was easy. Savannah needed help with graphic and web design—things that Maren does very well. Now the challenge is on Savannah because she wants to find Maren’s perfect match. Good luck with that. At twenty-seven, Maren has never been any good at dating.

Bennett Parks is suffering from a major dry spell. He can’t seem to get past the first date. He’s not sure if it’s a good idea, but his friend tells him to try #MatchMade, a hot new dating service. Why not? What does he have to lose?

When Maren breaks the seal on the big red envelope, revealing her match, she can’t believe her eyes. It’s Bennett Parks from high school. The one that got away. Could it be the same guy?

Bennett opens the email with his match and wishes he could bleach his eyeballs. There she is: his nemesis from high school. The girl whose art was always leaps and bounds better than his, getting all the accolades and winning all the awards. How the hell did he manage to get paired up with Maren Meyer? And why is he not surprised she is still single?

#MatchMade has a three date rule. You can’t turn down your match until after the third date. Even though Bennett would like to decline his match, he can’t. He decides to get the ball rolling and get the dates over with so he can find someone he might actually want to date. That’s the plan. And it’s so good. Until he sees Maren again. Now he just might want to see her again and again.

  About the Author

Emma Tharp is the USA Today Bestselling Author of The Bluff Harbor Series, The Next Verse, The Rules of the Game Series and the McLoughlin Brother Series. She was raised in upstate New York. Being an only child, she spent a great deal of time alone, dreaming up characters who would keep her company on long family road trips. Putting her writing on the back burner, she went to college and became a chiropractor. After spending twelve years healing patients, Emma decided—with the help of her amazingly supportive husband—to use the creative side of her brain and let her characters come to the page.

If she’s not writing, Emma can be found at the gym, one of her kids sporting events, Starbucks, or a live music event.

A perfect day for Emma would be spent at her lake house with her husband, two ginger-haired children, and Vizsla, reading a book and drinking a large cup of coffee (or wine) with music playing in the background.
