I knew I could never confide in Phillip about my cancer scare, though I wanted to badly. He’d tell Jeremy and Jeremy would probably never forgive me for finding out from Phillip.
It had been out of the question to include Phillip when the doctor asked me to bring a friend when I thought the biopsy had shown that I had a cancerous growth in my chest. Just the thought of having breast cancer was enough to fuck with my mind, and I didn’t need Phillip asking me all kinds of fucked-up questions as if he had a medical license, and having Eric hover over me like a specter ready to pull the plug on me, or offer to end my misery.
Yup, those were my alternatives, I’d imagined. But now I’m feeling like my old self and I’m ready to take on anyone because I’m young, hung, and ready to have fun, I thought with a smile on my face.
Before now I’d practiced my speech and wondered how I would break the news to Jeremy, the man I loved and hoped would love me after chemo, after losing all my hair, after becoming nauseous hanging over a toilet with those toxic chemicals coursing through my body... It was a wonder I’d ever gotten hard from those thoughts.
If he still wanted me after all that, my plans were to look in his handsome face, with my bald head and say, “I can still give you a blowjob, Jeremy. Give me a chance and I can still bring you to orgasm.”
And thank God I didn’t have to look him in the eyes, on my knees, and say that to him.
I realized that it was wrong for me to withhold important information from Jeremy the same way he’d done with me. But he might be even angrier when I told him that I took Jack with me instead of him.
I felt Jeremy would be pissed if he’d found out I’d sucked his cock on purpose, but he’d forgive me once he realized how much I had on my mind. Nevertheless, I’d made it harder on the both of us because I didn’t reveal something to him which had set into motion him becoming insanely jealous.
I strutted down that hall a new man—well, almost—when I reached the valet booth. When the guy pulled my Jeep around, I hopped in and drove to my new home.
I PACKED AWAY MY THOUGHTS about the doctors and my missteps with Jeremy as I drove to our new home. By now I had memorized what I’d tell Jeremy, like an actor waiting in the wings for his big moment.
I planned on telling Jeremy what I’d been going through, and I hoped he’d forgive me for being a stupid untrusting ass and give me a second chance to make him happy.
I pulled up to the front entrance where his Range Rover was parked. The pollen had settled on the car meaning he’d been there all night. I wished I’d known. Another day missed for us to be together and to iron out our differences.
As I placed my key in the door, the door opened. “What are you doing here?” Parker insisted, standing facing me as if I was a stranger going door to door selling something and who had the nerve to stop at his door. He reached down for the newspaper, then rose to face me.
“I came to check on my home.”
“That’s news to me. When I spoke to Jeremy he said that you would probably not move in with us.” Parker emphasized us. I picked up on that statement, and I knew right off he was sending me a message.
I raised an eyebrow, tightened my jaw, and furrowed my brow. “I think in your eagerness to see me gone that you’ve underestimated a man who’s in love. Please move aside so I can go in and check on Jacqueline.” Parker stood in my way and didn’t move. He dropped the paper and crossed his arms as he glared at me.
“Don’t get me wrong, and don’t let that gay man shit fool you.” I raised one eyebrow, and locked eyes with him, stepped closer invading his personal space to let him know that I was serious. “I’m sure you’ve heard the adage that it’s not the size of the dog in a fight, but the fight in the dog. And you, Parker, have threatened everything that is dear to me, Jacqueline, and Jeremy, and not to mention my home.”
We stared each other down waiting for the next move, and Parker, a reasonable man, knew the truth when he heard it, moved out of the way. I marched past him with closed eyes releasing a much-needed breath. I didn’t think that would work on him, but it did.
I headed for the kitchen to check the appliances. I felt Parker standing behind me and I saw his reflection in the large double-door fridge. “I have a separate apartment with my own kitchen. Thanks,” Parker said dryly. It didn’t sound like much, but that was his way of apologizing. Well, I took it as an apology.
Turning to Parker, “Where’s Jacqueline?”
“She’s sleeping and my girlfriend is in the room with her.” He smiled at me and I couldn’t help replying to his admission.
I pulled out a beer because by this time I’d been unnerved and happy about the results of my cancer scare, and that I didn’t have to fight with a soldier where I get my ass kicked. I reached for another beer and handed it to Parker. We sat at the large island, opened the beer, and drank.
Parker laughed, “You know, dude, I thought you were going to kick my ass.”
“You know, dude, if you hadn’t moved and let me into my house, I would have.” We saluted the other by clinging the bottles of Heineken together. It seemed that we’d finally come to an understanding with each other. I wasn’t the enemy, and he just needed to keep his job.
When Parker had guzzled down the last of his drink, and was ready for another where he offered to get them, I declined. He opened one for himself, sitting across from me, then smiled and said, “I thought you were having an affair with Jack. I didn’t want to see Jeremy and Jacqueline get hurt.”
“By your interference we all could have gotten hurt. Promise me that as long as you’re here, you will stay out of my business, and I promise not to interfere when you make suggestions about Jacqueline. And as far as Jeremy’s concerned, he is my business, and if you want to keep your job you will never insert yourself, or give any advice to my partner. You wouldn’t want me interfering with you and your girlfriend now, would you?”
“She doesn’t speak English,” Parker said with a chuckle.
“That’s what they all say.” I winked at him. “If I were you, I’d watch what I said around her.” I pointed my empty bottle at his chest. “Now that statement I just made, is what I call interfering in your business,” I stressed.
“I get it. You know I’m thinking of asking her to marry me,” Parker added with a wide grin. I’d rarely seen a smile like that from him before, except toward Jacqueline. “You can get a two for one if I get married, and I think we can all be happy here. This place is big enough for all of us, and it would be great to have another female in here. We could be a real family. What do you think?”
“Good move,” I answered, raised my hand for a high five, and he met my palm with his. I looked over at Parker and broke the news. “I’m going to accept Jeremy’s proposal of marriage if he still wants me.”
“I know he still wants you.” I raised my eyebrow. “Maybe we can have a double wedding?” Parker questioned not waiting for me to answer after taking another mouthful of beer.
“I’ll let you know. Not so fast. First we have to demonstrate to Jeremy that we can all exist together under one roof.”
“I’ll try my best not to obstruct or be a nuisance,” Parker guaranteed with a bright smile.
“If you do interfere, then you’re fired. And yes that’s a threat,” I assured him.
“I can respect that,” Parker said with a chuckle, before he wandered away to the fridge for another beer and a sandwich.
Chapter 17
Dorian
When I arrive home after speaking to Parker and coming to a much-needed understanding with him, I had every intention of packing some of my things I still had at my apartment. I had a new purpose, a new objective, and that was to take most of my clothes over to our home and leave them there even if Jeremy didn’t want me to.
I didn’t care what Jeremy thought. That home was just as much mine as his. It had been my dream home. I’d sketched it when I’d been a teen, but reality caught up with me when I was greeted at my apa
rtment door by Eric and Phillip.
“What’s the matter this time? I’m not going to be here long in case you’re wondering.” I was trying not to get pissed off. Frankly they were making it hard. Those two would piss off a toy poodle and it took a lot to piss off that breed of dog.
“We just wanted your advice on where we should have our wedding?”
“How the fuck should I know?” I said, pushing past them trying to get to my room. “Ask your mothers for advice,” I barked at them for making my life a living hell. They were so happy and they did look good together, kissing and hugging, and palming each other’s ass.
The happy couple followed me into my room. “I hope you two weren’t fucking inside my bedroom because I want you guys out of my apartment immediately.”
“That’s what we wanted to tell you. Eric’s clinics are beginning to make a profit after he bought ads and did a little remodeling.” Phillip glanced over at Eric who seemed more than attentive and he leaned and kissed Phillip. When they finally broke apart, Phillip continued. “We found an apartment.” They stood smiling and hugging each other. I waited for them to walk out, but it appeared they had more good news, but with those two their good news would be bad news for me.
“Great, now get the fuck out of my room. I’m packing to leave.” I didn’t hear any movement. “What?”
“We’re trying to buy Jeremy’s apartment.”
Turning to meet their happy face with stupid grins plastered over it, I said, “Are you two fucking out of your minds. You said that you couldn’t afford my apartment, and now you think you can afford a million-dollar fucking condo?”
Eric lowered his head and walked out of the room. I knew what that meant. “Phillip have you lost your mind. You’ve gone from one extravagant bullshit to the next. What makes you think that he will sell it to you? If you ask me, it’s a risk, and I don’t think Jeremy is the kind of man that likes risky ventures.”
“He took a risk on you,” Phillip said in a low voice, not expecting me to hear because I’d gone into my walk-in closet pulling down my suits.
With my suits draped across my arm I walked out and met Phillip. “I heard what the fuck you said.”
“I’m sorry, Dorian, but I’ll do anything for Eric.”
“Yes, I know. I had a dog I loved, and I’m out a lot of money, and not to mention the credit hit I’ll take for cosigning your mortgage. And now you want me to ask Jeremy in a market like this, to sell his apartment to you and Eric. He might kick my ass out of his house if I ask him something like that.”
“I don’t think he will. He went to Eric’s clinic and asked him where he could get a dog like the one you lost.”
“I didn’t lose a dog. Eric killed him.” I noticed the calmness of my voice. I hadn’t been as irritated as before, a little less angry as time went on, and I’d begun to accept my dog’s death. “I guessed Eric didn’t mention that he had a hand in that as well?” I tried to maintain my cool, but every time I heard Eric’s name coupled with a dog, it conjured up bad memories for me.
“Eric is a risk and so are you. You can stay here because I’m leaving tonight. I’m going to find Jeremy and live happily ever after. I’ll sell you my apartment, but there is no way in hell I’ll encourage Jeremy to sell his apartment to you or Eric. Now please get out and leave me in peace, Phillip.”
Phillip walked to the door. Then he turned and said, “Eric and I are going to the café downstairs, do you want to come with us? Maybe we can have a drink and food together. I don’t think I’ll see you soon. When you marry Jeremy Westbrook you’ll be traveling in different circles.”
“I have confidence that Eric will find a way to get to the top of the food chain with or without you. Be careful my friend, that man of yours is everything you’ve ever wanted—a money-hungry slut.”
Phillip tightened his jaw, opened the door, and turned to say something to me when my eyes focused on who was standing behind him. “Jeremy?” My words were soft. I couldn’t believe after everything that had happened between us that he’d be here, in my apartment looking gorgeous.
“Hey, Green Eyes. Can I come in?”
Phillip stepped out of the way and when Jeremy entered, Phillip glanced over at me.
“Phillip.”
“Yeah?”
“Don’t disturb me when you leave, nor return,” I said, locking eyes with Jeremy, never seeing anyone but him.
Before Phillip closed the door, he leaned and peeked in the bedroom. “Don’t forget what I asked.” I waved to Phillip that I heard him. Through the silence that lingered in the room, I heard when Eric asked Phillip, “What did he say?” And Phillip’s replied, “I’ll tell you over a pizza and beer.” And then I heard the door to the apartment close.
“They’ve gone.”
“I was hoping they’d leave. For how long?” Jeremy asked.
“I think Phillip said that they would go dancing after beer and pizza. Is that enough time?”
“There’s never enough time for what I want to do to you.” Jeremy smiled. It was so bright, his eyes glowed with an unquestionable gaze. He sat in the nearest chair across from my bed. “First of all,” Jeremy’s voice low and intoxicating as he reached and grabbed my hand, then brought me down to sit on his lap. We looked into each other’s eyes green on blue. We felt each other’s hearts, his beating against my body, mine beating out of my chest.
“I want to make love to you,” he said kissing my neck as I moaned. He palmed my cock when he ran his tongue along my Adam’s apple sending chills covering my skin. I could feel his hard cock pulsating through his slacks as he raised his hips with his cock making a dent in my ass cheeks.
Jeremy palmed my stiff length, dry-fucking me with his steel cock, holding me down with his hand as I dry-fucked it. I turned my head upward, opened my mouth, and let his tongue slide through my parting lips. His kiss was hard as he bit down on my lip, after placing his hand behind my neck, and gripping me where I couldn’t move. I didn’t want to go anywhere. I wanted to stay on Jeremy’s lap forever because I longed for him to be inside me.
I’d been sucking Jeremy’s sweeping tongue, tasting my mouth, licking my lips as he fucked my jean-covered ass. He pried open my jeans with his fingers. I forced open his shirt, fingered his nipples, he threw his head back and let out a moan releasing my mouth. I nuzzled my nose in his hair, brushed my face against his rough stubble.
“You need a shave,” I said, kissing along his jawline, then running my palm up and down one side of his chiseled face.
“After I’ve opened up that tight hole of yours, which belongs to me now,” he said running his tongue around his lips. “I’m too hot to stop now.” I lowered my head, licking and pinching his nipple.
“I’d die if you were to stop. I think I want you inside me more than you could imagine,” I said, flexing the muscles of my ass on top of his cock.
Jeremy placed his hand down my pants, and gazed up at me, his blue eyes dominating my greens.
“Damn, Green Eyes, but you’re wet. You waited for me, baby,” Jeremy said breathless against my ear. “You’re so hot, and you look so cute curled up in my arms,” he said his voice low and sexy. “I want to taste your sweet cock. This cock belongs to me doesn’t it?” he asked, palming my length, then caressing it as if it was a precious jewel, then he gathered me in his arms.
“Put me down, I’m not as light as I used to be,” I said, remembering that all I had been doing was eating and not exercising because I’d been so damned depressed.
“But I want to carry you,” he said, his forehead against mine with our eyes locking. “Did I ever tell you that you have amazing green eyes?”
“Every day. Well, I think you missed one,” I added, sliding my finger across his lower lip.
“That’s not enough. I want to tell you every minute.”
“Save it for when you’re lying over me in our bed at our home.”
“So that means you’ll marry me?”
“Whenev
er and however you want,” I said, leaning, wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him softly.
Jeremy pulled back. “None of that, Green Eyes. When we marry, I want my sex hot and dirty,” Jeremy confided as he met my eyes, and I raised my eyebrow.
“You got it.” Then Jeremy conceded, setting me on my feet. I walked the few inches to the bed and toed off my shoes still locking eyes with him. He went to his knees with that mysterious smile covering his face reaching each corner of his mouth. The brightness shown in his blue eyes only matched my own.
With that same sexy smile trained on me like a laser, he helped me drag off my tight jeans leaving only my jockstrap that he immediately confiscated, and threw across the room. “Now that’s done,” Jeremy joked, sucking in a secure breath. Looking at me, his face heated and my need for him intensified. With one hand he palmed his cock, and with my help he reached for the hem of my shirt, and we pulled it over my head quickly.
“I want to see you like this whenever I come home from work. I want you to be waiting for me hot and hard.” I didn’t know what he meant. I hadn’t said anything about retiring. Didn’t he know that I had my work as well? But we had a daughter and perhaps we’d make some kind of arrangement, but that wasn’t for me to think about today. Now Jeremy Westbrook wanted me to marry him, and he declared that he liked his sex hot and dirty.
I’d do whatever it took to give him what he wanted, and now had to be the best time to show him that I could give him what he’d asked for.
Naked with my body trembling for his touch and begging for his cock, I lay back and watched my beautiful man. I palmed my cock, drew it back from the base to the tip. Pre-cum dripping from the slit as Jeremy undressed and stood with his amazing length aiming it at me.
Jeremy climbed into the bed and I felt the mattress dip as he leaned over me, and whispered in my ear when he nuzzled his nose against my neck. “If I get too hard, tell me to stop, baby.”
