I folded my arms, hiding as much of myself as I could. Tommy no longer got access to these goods. Even with his stare.

“You need to leave,” I was trying to be forceful, commanding. It just didn’t have the same effect without my wolf behind it. Without the threat of fire in my eyes.

The absence of both was quickly causing me to panic, I wasn’t about to run away crying. That Ivy was long gone. I would, however, rip his eyes out with my bare hands.

“Well, some things haven’t changed. Again, it’s all about Ivy. All the fucking time. Think about me for once,” Tommy stepped toward me like he was going to swoop me up and whisk me away.

I was going to be sick.

“You are not welcome here,” I finished, putting as much of a growl into my human voice as I could.

“I’m welcome wherever you are, baby,” he crooned, leaning toward me and I stepped back. If he could make me feel like this from breathing me in, I had no intention of letting him touch me--not one fucking finger. “You’re mine.”

“Nope.” I was firm. The bastard was smiling again, pulling out another cigarette like the chain smoker he had always been. “You need to leave.”

“Leave? I risked everything to get here. I chanced being around the bastards that took you from me. I miss you, Ivy. I’ve missed you. I’ve missed all the parts of me inside of all the parts of you.”

I almost gagged. “Don’t make me hurl, you vile bag of dicks. The last time I saw you, you were done with me. Told me never to speak to you again. You know what? I like it that way.”

I tried to make each word slow, deliberate. He wasn’t even fazed.

“What about us, baby? You don’t get to walk away from us.”

“Oh, yes, I do. There is no us,” I spat back at him, taking two more huge steps away. “You need to leave. You are not welcome here.”

“I’m not leaving, Ivy. I belong with you. You’ve stepped up. I’m stepping up, too. Besides, these are nice digs. Here I was trying to promise you a double-wide. We sure did rock that van though. You have to admit that.”

  I would admit nothing.

“Don’t know how you could have rocked anything with that needle dick,” Howl interjected from beside me. Tommy froze, glaring at Howl as the match he’d taken out to light his cigarette burned and extinguished itself against his fingers.

  Demon boy didn’t even flinch.

  “Excuse me.”

“I was there that night you ran away in the forest, screaming like a fucking pussy with your needle dick flailing all around. You couldn’t face us then,” Howl teased, forcing out a single laugh. “I doubt you have the balls to face us now. In fact, I know you don’t.”

Tommy’s eyes flashed with flame, but I had a feeling with the way Howl stiffened, with the way the dirt shifted around him, that something far more nefarious was happening.

Something that I couldn’t perceive thanks to whatever he had sucked from me.

“Say that again,” Tommy sneered as another plume of dust exploded from behind us, Saxon appeared out of nowhere to stand between Tommy and us, his fangs already bared and glistening.

“Demon.” Saxon hissed, the two now circling each other so fast that for a second they were only dust and smoke.

“Ivy,” Finn gasped, appearing on the other side of me as Howl swept his arm around me. I nearly collapsed against my Fae mate. I hadn’t realized how weak I was. “What happened?”

“That demon bastard fed from her,” Howl said, moving my hair to the side and staring at me with great intensity. It was clear he was trying to speak to me. I couldn’t hear anything over the dull ringing in my ears.

“Demons feed off people? How?” I mumbled, looking from Finn to Howl to Saxon, who was still snarling and chomping at the Demon like he was the one who was going to do the feeding.

“Demons feed off emotions and energy,” Finn said quickly as Tommy swore. Guess Saxon was winning. “Stress, anxiety, rage, indignation, lust, envy, revenge. Think the seven deadly sins. They absorb that energy into themselves. They live off of it. I’m sure your trailer park was simply teeming with that kind of energy--most places on this earth are these days.”

Maybe that’s why he was always pissing me off. Between that and wanting to fuck nonstop I was like a free buffet for this rat bastard.

  In every way.

“Can you do anything, Finn? Shield her or something?”

“Of course, let me take her,” Finn was already scooping me up from Howl’s grip. “Go help Saxon. I do not think that even he can take this one on his own. The Demon smells foul.”

Finn held me against his chest, that liquid warmth of his magic flooding through me as I watched Saxon and Howl corral Tommy against the porch of the house while Scarlet, Owen, and Evan nipped at his legs.

“Such a warm welcome!” Tommy sarcastically yelled, gaining the attention from a few of the other pack members who were arriving back from school. “After all I did for your girl, this is the thanks I get.”

“Did for me?” I snapped, still leaning against Finn. My voice sounded far away. “You sucked my powers away!”

“I kept you safe,” Tommy spat, trying to kick one of the cats. I had no idea which twin it was, but he stealthily dodged the blow while his other half clamped onto the opposite pant leg. “Do you know how many wolves and witches showed up every chance they got to take you away, to take your blood? If it wasn’t for me you’d already be dead. If it wasn’t for this bastard, I would still be keeping you safe.”

Tommy swiped at Howl, his hand doing that smoke thing again. Now that Finn’s shield was wrapped around me, the heat of my magic was returning, the reality of the fight I was watching starting to cement itself in my mind. The tendrils of what once was an arm wound everywhere as Howl dodged, snarling and biting while Saxon moved behind Tommy in what he thought was a good position.

But even I could see that Finn was right. They weren’t going to be able to take the demon down.

“Stop!” I roared, trying to push myself away from Finn who held firm. Without me rushing them, however, they all stopped and turned, Tommy already smug with his supposed win.

“Stop,” I repeated, staring at all of them while my heart tensed, my wolf making a growling return. Thank God.

I was starting to worry that she wouldn’t come back.

“I don’t want anyone to get hurt.”

“No one is going to get hurt but this guy,” Howl said, taking another swipe at the demon who turned that part of his body to inky smoke.

“You don’t want to do that, trust me,” Tommy mused, leaning casually against the wooden railing as though he hadn’t been trapped there. “My daddy may not like me, but I doubt he would be happy if I was killed by a vampire-nobody and son of a weak Alpha.”

“I doubt your daddy will care, whoever he is,” Saxon laughed, his blood-red eyes twisting to meet mine for a second. “He is not very powerful, but his scent is richer than most demons. What is dear old dad? A noble to the underworld?”

All of my mates laughed, but Tommy’s smile was unnerving, his teeth as white as his eyes were dark.

My own smile faded, my gut feeling twisted and knotted and uptight.

“Oh no,” Tommy said sweetly, firing up another cigarette. “He is the ruler of it.”

“A demon prince,” Howl scoffed, somewhere between laughing and growling. The humorless sound battled against Tommy’s grin. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”

“Not at all. My father is Gorath. I’m sure you’ve heard of him.” I hadn’t but everyone else looked horrified, even Scarlet had come out of her shift to stand next to me, as though I needed extra protection.

“King of the Demons,” Tommy tacked on with a nod to me.

“The king of the Demons, Gorath,” I could barely stifle my chuckle, “had a son and named him… Tommy. Are you sure you’re not high?”

“Very sure,” he smirked, letting his body shift to smoke before snapping back into pl
ace. “And he didn’t name me Tommy. He named me Talmund. I doubted that was a name you’d accept where you came from.”

I did my best to growl intimidatingly at him. He winked at me and blew me a kiss as he continued.

“He wasn’t too pleased that I fucked one of his many concubines so he threw me out. I had plenty of brothers to take my place in the kingdom, anyway. He doesn’t take kindly to sharing. Big dramatic mess.”

“Fine,” I snapped. Everyone else might be pissing themselves, but Gorath sounded like the name of a puppet. I wasn’t going to start shivering in my shoes just yet. “What does that have to do with me? You went from prince to trailer park? That’s quite a fall from grace.”

“It just so happened I found something I very much liked in that trailer park. At first, I was passing through. Then I found you--so damned tasty and addicting. I could never get enough. You were simply engorged with every emotion, every power. I made plenty of plans to leave but couldn’t do it. You were and are too irresistible.”

I could care less about Gorath or the fact that Tommy was some kind of fucked-up royalty, but the way he was looking at me now was one step away from vile.

“So, you came back because you wanted to bleed me dry?” Even my voice curled at that. Tommy laughed joylessly and pushed himself off the rail.

It was clear he intended to strut his way over, but Howl and Saxon blocked his path. Stupid Tommy.

“Mostly, yes. But, I also have news.”

“News about how big of a dickwad you are?”

“Your mom is missing,” Tommy said the words and my stomach sunk right into my shoes, leaving me with an empty hole in my torso and a tear in my eye that I quickly swept away.

  “What?”

“Noticed a couple of weeks ago. Place was trashed, door broken off the hinges. No one has seen her since. Left everything she owned, even a purse on the table with a stack of cash hanging out.”

I closed my eyes and breathed out. This was the woman who had sold me off to this place in the name of a check and an education she didn’t think I deserved. I didn’t think I would care. I shouldn’t care, except that I knew all of that was wrong. She wasn’t some stoner. She had been something else once. She had known something about me, about my dad.

  She’d given birth to me.

I had an inkling of why and how she had gone. That rock in my gut was turning into a boulder and I sunk to my knees.

  Chapter 17

“Is he still there?” I asked only minutes after waking up. The cold waves of Saxon’s body temperature whisked over my exposed cheek. He looked up from his book to glance out the window.

“He is,” he whispered, leaning down to press his cold lips to my cheek. I shuddered.

“I guess I was a fool for thinking that he was going to be anything other than a stalker.” I sighed, rolling onto my back and stifling a yawn. If it wasn’t for school and the irritating alarm I had already slammed off, I would still be asleep. I was spent from head to toe.

“I have never met a demon who is good,” Saxon mused, his eyes flitting over a few sentences before he turned the page. “But I have also never met a demon who is quite as persistent as he is. They usually have nothing invested in their...food.”

“You say that like you have known a lot of demons.” I rolled into him or rather rolled into the blanket that surrounded me. I was too sleepy, warm, and happy for that level of chill in the morning.

“Vampires were birthed from demons, my rose,” Saxon said, giving me a quick glance before returning to his book, his fingers twisting through my hair. “We have something big in common.”

  Well, damn.

It had been a while since I had been reminded how little I knew about this world, but that little fact came out of left field.

“Birthed? Like you were born?” I sat up and stared at him. He only smiled and gave me a glance before returning to his book. “I always thought it was a bite and creator scenario.”

Which now that I was thinking about it, didn’t make much sense. He had bitten me how many times now? Damn, all those cheesy vampire romances had gotten it wrong.

“It is for mortals,” he turned the page as he stared at me, hunger dripping from his eyes. Clearly, his mind had gone the same place mine had. “The first vampire that was created from a demon. The demon who fell in love with the mortal. He fed from her, much like I feed from you… much like you and your Tommy, I suppose.”

“Ew. He is not in love with me, and I am not a mortal.” Now I was really going to be sick. Those words should have never been uttered, let alone by my vampire mate.

“Only one of those is correct.” He didn’t even look at me that time. His focus was only on his book and the smirk he was trying to hide.

“Is that some type of vampire romance novel you are reading?” I teased, poking him in the arm and pulling the book down. He was all smiles and gifted me with a chuckle.

“Howl and I could have easily killed him, my rose. He knows the danger he is in--the threat he faces. Yet, he stands outside of the house that his love enters.”

“Knock it off,” I grumbled, jumping out of bed and hustling my bare ass to the bathroom and the toilet that I needed desperately.

“I do not mean to disturb you, Ivy,” Saxon whispered, appearing in the doorway as I finished. “You know that was not my intent. I’m only sharing my observations.”

“I know,” I murmured, leaning against the bathroom sink to face him. “I don’t know why he’s here.”

Saxon stood there, his powerfully built physique leaning against the door frame as he smiled tenderly at me. Sometimes, when he was calm like this, it was hard to see the self-assured vampire who would sneak in to feed on me every night.

That would fuck me until I screamed.

  Like he had last night.

I was still sore, but staring at him with his cock twitching like that was making me squirmy.

Normally all three would sleep with me, all of us curled together like kittens. Neither Finn nor Howl had trusted the demon out there alone unfortunately. So, logically, leaving the vampire that doesn’t sleep with me while they took turns guarding the door was the only choice.

  Men.

“All will be well, Ivy,” He said, his face serious as he strolled over to me, his hands reaching for mine.

“I think I’ll believe that once we figure out why he’s here and what Pater has done with my mom.” His face blanched at my words, as though he had not figured that out quite yet, but everything was clicking now, his eyes widening as the door to my room swung open.

“Ivy?” Howl’s voice carried into the bathroom a second before he did, the guy stopping in place at the scene he walked in on--me, leaned against the sink, Saxon inches from me, his almost-fully erect penis pointing at me, not a scrap of clothes in sight.

“Good morning, Howl,” I said, moving from Saxon to the massive shower and quickly turning on the water. “What's up?”

The bathroom in the estate was large, but nothing like the erotic dungeon of Saxon’s Keep. I would have to convince him to take me back there at some point. I had enjoyed him tying me up with neckties and bedsheets over the past few weeks, but I had a feeling the five of us could get in more trouble in the massive room and bathroom or straps and furniture meant for fucking.

  Wait. Five?

  No.

  Four.

What the fuck was wrong with me?

I stood, still waiting for Howl to respond. I clearly wasn’t getting a response any time soon. Saxon was leaning casually against the sink and chuckling at Howl who had ripped his clothes off in his haste. There were a few popped buttons on the floor.

“My, my, isn’t this a surprise,” I mused, a smile taking over my face as heat fanned over my skin, beating through my veins. Who needed a shower? I was already getting wet. Sweaty. Needy. Moist.

  I licked my lips.

“Two boys, ripe for the taking.” They both grinned, Saxon pushing off the sink as
they stepped closer to me. “But which one should I take first?”

“First?” Howl chuckled, his fingers running over his hard staff as he lifted it towards me. “I am pretty sure we are the ones taking you.”

“Are you?” I teased, I could have sworn that Saxon’s smile spread. “Because I am the one with the pussy,” I said, running my finger down the groove of my core, “with the ass.” I moved my hands over my hips, turning as I spread my cheeks and revealed the desperate hole that I happened to know they loved fucking as much as I loved feeling when they rammed into me.

“Oh,” I added on when Saxon moaned at the appearance of my ass. “And the mouth to pleasure you.” He loved fucking my throat, sure enough that mention was his undoing. He groaned and collapsed against the counter, a tiny drop of cum appearing on the head of his cock.

God, I wanted to lick that up.

But I had bigger plans right now.

“I get to say what you fuck and when.”

The two were so hard now that their cocks were twitching. Howl reached down as if to stroke himself, but I held a finger out as if to stop him.

“Your Alpha says no,” I growled, the purr of my wolf following right behind. “Your Alpha says that I am the only one that gets to touch you. To stroke you. To ride you. You don’t cum until I say so.”

  Saxon chuckled darkly, “Not fair.”

I turned on him, “You think so? On your knees.”

Saxon was hungrier than I had ever seen him as he dropped to his knees, his tongue darting out of his mouth as he eyed the mound between my legs and the fang marks that I was sure were permanent with how much he loved to bite me there.

  Not today.

“Howl, on the toilet,” I said, pointing as I circled around Saxon trying to decide what I wanted them to do to me. Or rather what I wanted to do to them.

Howl sat, his hands constantly going to the throbbing cock that sprung from his lap, desperate for me to sit atop him, to slide up and down, and force Saxon to watch.
