TAYLOR KER was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 2003. She wanted to watch the Harry Potter movies, but her parents said she had to read the books first—which she did by age seven. Catching the writing bug, she cut her teeth on fanfiction before moving on to develop her own characters. She contributes regularly as author, editor and reviewer at online writing sites, and has attended every Origins since her birth. She is proud to be the first Aaron Allston Scholar recipient at Origins 2018.

DANIEL MYERS is a database programmer, author, dragon slayer, and food historian. Several years back he discovered a secret manuscript which would turn the culinary world upside down. Unfortunately he misinterpreted it as a recipe for clam chowder, left it on a table in a library, and completely forgot about it. He lives in Ohio with his family and an impressive number of Figgy-Fizz bottle caps. Currently he runs MedievalCookery.com, which is where he puts his research notes and recipes from medieval France and England. dmmyers.com
