Herobrine Saves Christmas Page 5

by Zack Zombie

I walked toward the door, took a deep breath and then faced the enemy.

The heavily set woman blocked out almost all the sunlight as her large frame filled the porch.

“Ah, ha! Herobrine, young man,” she said. “I want to show you something.”

It seemed she had brought some of the children to our doorstep. I gritted my teeth and prepared for the onslaught of crying faces. I wondered what I would say.

However, as the woman stepped to the side, the sea of faces that greeted me were happy. Not only that, but each of the children were holding a one foot tall robot soldier that looked like me, with glowing red eyes.

“It seems you have somehow saved the day,” Mr. Windup said, stepping into view. “Did you manage to get back into the workshop and make all of these last night? It seems like an impossible task!”

“Ah! That would explain why he was so tired this morning,” Mr. Lurker said.

“Is it true, Herobrine?” Mrs. Lurker asked. “Are all these children holding these toys because of you?”

I didn’t know what to say. Yes, I had had something to do with it. After all, if Lucy and I hadn’t saved Santa then Christmas would never have arrived for any of us. However, I didn’t want to take the credit for delivering all those robot soldiers.

“Santa must have brought them,” I said.

The children cheered and the woman and Mr. Windup laughed.

“Well, wherever they’ve come from, the children and I want to truly thank you,” the woman said. Then, she leaned forwards and kissed me on the cheek.

Now, even though a kiss on the cheek from that creepy lady wasn’t really the Christmas present I had been after, seeing those happy children meant more to me than anything.

Then, suddenly in the distance we heard a faint noise.

  “Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas!”

We looked up to the sky and many miles away we could see a moving object. Suddenly, it shot across the sky at a rapid speed and vanished out of sight, leaving an arc of glittering dust behind it.

This had been my first Christmas in the human world, and it would be one that I would never forget.

  The End

  And Merry Christmas!
