Enlightened Hearts: Mastered Hearts Series Book Two Page 14

by Nicole, Angela

With my arms over my head, he begins by kissing me. It’s soft and sweet at first. Since I can’t use my hands to pull him closer to me, I use my tongue to tell him what I want. He moans in response and picks up the pace.

He moves his mouth down to my breast, where he takes my nipple into his mouth. I arch my back, wanting him to take me deeper into his mouth. “Your nipples taste so sweet, Nicole. I’m sure the rest of you is going to taste even sweeter.”

Oh my god, he’s going there.

Daniel licks and kisses his way down my body. He pays special attention to all the spots that make me moan. His tongue is magical as he makes me come again. While it’s frustrating that I can’t use my hands to pull him in deeper, it adds a sense of need for him to control. I like it a lot.

Urging him on by grinding my hips against his face, I feel him smile. “What are you trying to tell me, Nicole?”

“I want you in me before I lose my mind here.”

“Well, I don’t want you to lose your mind, baby.”

With one thrust, Daniel is inside me. My heart, as well as other parts, are happy. Daniel notices my arms start to come down. “Are your arms asleep?” he asks while he relentlessly thrusts in and out of me. Every thrust hitting me deeper and deeper.

“No,” I answer as I try to catch my breath.

He shakes his head. “Then keep them above your head.”

Oh god, this is going to kill me, but what a way to go.

Daniel quickens his pace. I moan his name in response. When I do, he says, “I’m not going to last long. You feel so fucking good.”

“I want to feel you come inside me, Daniel. Make me yours,” I say, and he does.

When we both are sated, Daniel pulls me in close to him. “I love you, Nicole. I think I have since the moment I laid eyes on you.”

Turning my face to his, I finally give in to my apprehension. “I love you too. I’ve known it since I got seasick on your boat and you took care of me.” We both laugh at the memory, although it wasn’t funny when it happened.

“Happy New Year, Nicole,” he says with a kiss to my head.

  “Happy New Year, Daniel.”

  Five months later…

Today is Lucy’s kindergarten graduation. Lucy and I are both excited but for very different reasons. Today, Nicole and I will finally be able to be more than friends with benefits.

Last night, I talked to Lucy about wanting Nicole to be my girlfriend. To say she was excited would be an understatement. She promised to keep it a secret until after the ceremony today.

“Daddy?” she yells as she comes running from her bedroom. “Can I call Miss Russell Nicole when she is your girlfriend?”

“Well, I think you should ask her, but maybe after a few days, OK? Do you have the surprise in your pocket?”

Lucy pats the pocket of her dress. “Yep. It’s right here. I’ll wait for you to tell me when to give it to her, right?”

“Yes, I’ll tell you when to give it to her,” I say as I bop her on her nose with my finger.

I don’t know why I’m so nervous. I’m pretty sure her answer will be yes. I wouldn’t be doing this in front of Lucy if I wasn’t sure. Serena will be there too, but I don’t give a shit. I’ve waited way too long to make Nicole mine. I’m not waiting any longer.

  * * *

The drive over to the school seemed like it took an eternity. Lucy sang along to a CD from one of her favorite movies while I sweated profusely from nerves.

When we arrive at Lucy’s school, Serena is waiting outside for us. The sight of her used to stir up angry feelings, but now I don’t care at all. The woman I love is waiting for me inside, and I’m about to tell the whole world she’s mine.

  “There’s Mommy.”

  Yep, and Dr. Douchebag.

“Remember what I said about keeping the secret.”

“I remember, Daddy. I’m a big girl now, a first grader.”

“Almost, sweetie, almost.” And I can’t fucking wait.

I can sense Daniel before I even see him. He walks in with Lucy, Serena, and her boyfriend. The sight of Serena used to make me cringe, but now she is nothing other than the woman who gave birth to the little girl I love.

Daniel is dressed up in a suit and tie, and it makes my heart race, but truthfully it wouldn’t matter if he was wearing a T-shirt and shorts. He walks over to me as if he is claiming his prize. I love it when he gets that alpha male look on his face. It makes me hot as hell.

Thank God we planned a short graduation ceremony, because when we lock eyes, all I can think about is Daniel naked. These last five months have been difficult but have gone quicker than I thought they would.

Of course, we have seen each other at get-togethers, but it was damn hard not to touch each other. Somehow we made it through, I think in part because we confessed our love to each other. Knowing that neither Daniel nor I would be with someone else during this time eased the worry in my heart.

Here we are, finally able to be together as a couple...well, almost. Glancing at the clock, I motion for the students to take their places. The class picked out three songs to sing for their parents. They are seated at their students' desks while the kids are up in front of the room. Daniel looks silly since he is so tall. His knees are almost up to his ears.

I can’t help but watch Lucy as she sings her little heart out. Her smile is bright and contagious. I’ll certainly be lucky to have her in my personal life after she moves to first grade.

Developing a lump in my throat, I focus on the rest of the program. I’m setting out the cookies and juice while my co-teacher hands out certificates. Suddenly, I feel Daniel’s body heat behind me and I freeze at the table.

He’s so close, too close. I know he’s not touching me, but if anyone looks over at us, I won’t be able to hide the desire on my face.

“Daniel,” I whisper without turning around. “You have to move away, or I won’t be able to keep my hands to myself. I’m hanging on by a thread as it is.”

“Me too, baby. Are we about done here?”

I laugh. “Daniel, this is your daughter’s kindergarten graduation. You shouldn’t be rushing it. She’ll never do this again.”

He sighs in my ear, and I shiver. “I know, Nicole, but we are just so close.”

Needing to put some distance between us quickly, I turn to him. “Just a little while longer.” I leave him to the cookies and juice.

I need to rein it in. I’m seriously having one of those sexy teacher fantasies right now. Nicole is wearing a green dress that hugs her curves, curves I want to feel and lick. Jesus, my pants are getting tighter just thinking about her. Nicole’s voice brings me back to reality.

“Alright, everyone. That concludes our official program for today, but please stay and enjoy cookies and juice.”

Cheers from the new first graders can be heard blocks away. I watch my daughter in awe of her free spirit. She’s talking to a few of her friends when Serena approaches her. For the most part, my ex has been cordial when she sees me. Her and Dr. Douchebag have been busy with his practice and attending events, so Lucy has been able to stay with me more and more. I don’t hate it.

Serena says goodbye to Lucy and leaves. My daughter comes bounding over to me with her mischievous grin. I know she’s ready for Nicole’s surprise. Suddenly, my heart is racing, almost like an anxiety attack.

When Lucy looks up at me with her big eyes, calmness comes over me. “Is it time, Daddy? Can I give Miss Russell her surprise?”

Glancing around the room, I want to make sure it’s not full of too many people. Parents and students have been filing out a few at a time. Nicole is talking with a mom and her son, Evan I think.

As she says goodbye to them, I see my opportunity, so I take it. “OK Lucy, go ahead, just like we talked about.”

“OK Daddy, this is going to be fun,” she says with a giggle.

  I hope she’s right.

As soon as I say goodbye to Evan and his mom, I fe
el a tug on my dress. It’s Lucy.

  “Miss Russell?”

I bend down so that I can look at her. “Yes, Lucy?”

“I have a note for you,” she says with a giggle. She looks over at Daniel, and he nods to her.

She hands me the note. It’s folded just like I used to do when I was in school. I can’t help but smile at Daniel, who is still standing across the room. Unfolding the note, I notice it’s in Lucy’s handwriting. He’s pulling out the big guns, I see. I’m actually a little nervous as to what it could say. I look over at Lucy, who has her hands in fists under her chin. She has the biggest smile on her face, and she looks like she is going to burst.

Finally getting the note unfolded all the way, I begin to read.

  Miss Russell,

My daddy loves you. Will you be his girlfriend? Make a check in the box.

  Love,

  Lucy

There are three boxes below the letter: Yes, No, and Maybe.

With my heart melting, I can feel my eyes tear up.

“Thank you, Lucy. Come with me to my desk so I can sit and write my answer, OK?”

Lucy nods her head quickly and grabs my hand. I wink at Daniel as we walk to my desk in the front of the room. Knowing he can still hear us talking, I try to whisper.

“Lucy, I want to talk you about this, OK?

  “OK,” she says, seemingly nervous.

“I know your daddy had you write this for me. Do you know what it means?” I may be overstepping here, but I want to know what she knows.

“My daddy told me that he loves you and he wants you to be his girlfriend. He asked me if I was OK with it first, though,” she says so proudly.

“And what did you tell your daddy? Are you OK with me being your daddy’s girlfriend?” I’m almost scared to hear the answer, but I’m pretty sure she’s excited about it.

“I asked him if it would be OK if I call you Nicole if you aren’t my teacher anymore. I asked Daddy if you could be my mommy. I mean, I love my mommy, but I love you too.”

Crap, cue the waterworks. “Oh sweetie, I love you too. What did your daddy say when you asked him that?” I know I shouldn’t put her on the spot with the question, but I really want to know.

She looks over at Daniel, silently asking if she can continue. “Go ahead, Lucy. It’s OK.”

“Daddy said someday he wants to marry you, then we can be a real family.”

Now my heart is racing. Glancing over at Daniel, he winks at me. It's as if I’m living someone else’s life. Never in my wildest dreams did I think Daniel and I would get to this place.

Lucy brings me back to reality. She leans over my desk. “So which box are you going to check?”

“Hmm. What do you think I should do?”

Nicole jumps up and down in place. “You should say yes,” she yells.

  “You sure?”

“Miss Russell, I’m soooo sure you should be my daddy’s girlfriend.”

I take a moment to re-read the note, just to make Daniel squirm a little. Looking over at Lucy, her eyebrows are raised, questioning what I’m going to do.

“OK, Lucy. Let’s mark the box that says yes.” I smile at her.

“Daddy, Miss Russell says she wants to be your girlfriend,” she yells so anyone around can hear.

Daniel stalks over to me, and I swallow hard. “It’s about damn time sweetheart!”

  Alexandra

How did I end up here? Not Florida, I mean my life. Six months ago I was at the top of my game as my county’s Public Defender. Unfortunately for my client’s next victim, I did my job a little too well.

I was basically forced out of my hometown in New York so I made the decision to move to Florida where my sister, Nicole lives. I wasn’t supposed to arrive until tomorrow but I drove straight through wanting to leave my former life behind.

Nicole doesn’t know I’m here yet. Needing to get my bearings, I’m staying at a hotel for the night. Lucky for me there’s a bar across the street. Throwing a baseball hat on, I head over. It’s a biker bar. No one will judge me in there.

Opening the door, I’m greeted by some southern rock and the smell of whiskey. It’s just what I need tonight. Making my way to the bar, I sit at the only stool open. This isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve been around bikers both in my personal and professional life.

The bartender is talking to some guy at the other end of the bar so I settle in for a wait. But I don’t have to wait too long because the guy next to me calls him. “Hey Viper, can you get this lady a drink?”

“Thanks,” I say to my barstool neighbor.

“No problem darlin’,” he says without looking at me.

The bartender makes his way over and I order a boilermaker. While I wait for my drink I start to feel guilty about not telling Nic I’m in town. I take my phone out of my pocket to call her just as my drink arrives. Telling myself I still need some time, I put it away.

Lowering the shot of whiskey into my beer, I wait a few seconds before chugging it. I slam the glass on the bar louder than I mean too. I look out the corner of my eye to see if the guy next to me noticed but he acts like I don’t exist. Thank God.

I swirl the empty glass on the bar blowing out a sigh. Rubbing the back of my neck with one hand, I signal for another drink with the other.

“You seem to be doing some hard thinking darlin’. Wanna talk about it?” Mister Tattooed Beefcake asks.

  “Nope.”

Beefcake laughs. “OK, but if you change your mind, I’ve been told I’m a good listener.”

Neither of us looks at each other. We both just stare ahead. Still I can sense the alpha pheromones he’s emitting.

“Unless you can erase the last year of my life, there’s no sense talking about it,” I blurt out before I can stop myself. Shit.

“Sweetheart, if I could erase time, I’d erase the last four years.”

We both lay eyes on each other at the same time. I knew he was damn sexy but when his eyes meet mine, well let’s just say this night could get interesting.

  Colton

I don’t know who this angel is sitting next to me but damn if she doesn’t have something on her mind. She is sexy as fuck and perhaps just the distraction I need tonight.

“You aren’t from around here are you, Goldie?” I ask and it sounds like a lame pick up line.

  That gets her attention. Good.

“Goldie?” She says with a laugh.

“Yeah, your hair is the color of gold. I like it. Unless you prefer me to use your real name?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

“Nope. Goldie works for me Beefcake.”

Now it’s my turn to laugh. “Beefcake huh?”

“Well since we are going by appearances and no names, you’re Beefcake.”

“OK Goldie, nice to meet you.” I extend my hand to her and she takes it. The minute her small hand is in mine, my dick stirs.

“You really weren’t trying to pick me up with the line about being new here were you?”

“That depends darlin’. Did it work?”

  “Not yet,” I say.

“Hmm, I guess I better work on my delivery then.”

We sit in silence for a few minutes but it doesn’t take away from the sexual tension that I’m feeling. “You know how to play pool Goldie?”

Goldie turns to face me and smirks. “Yeah, I know how to play with the stick and balls.”

  Fuck me.

“Wow, that was quite a pick-up line. Maybe you could give me some lessons sweetheart.”

Goldie finishes her boilermaker. “Alright Beefcake, let’s see whatcha got.”
