Corviticus University: Void Page 14

by J. E. Cluney

The sweet, beautiful, utterly hilarious woman in our midst.

I’d never do anything to hurt her.

My mind quickly jumped to something else, and my body responded.

“I’m still stuck on seeing her with you, as Lucy,” I smirked, the image flashing through my mind. God, that had been a massive turn-on. Too bad the wendigo thing had interrupted it, otherwise I may just have gotten an interesting threesome then.

“I’m surprised she was willing to try it, but it seems our little banshee is open to a few things,” Lucas murmured as he drank his hot milo.

“At least she’s able to protect herself now,” I remarked, trying not to think too much about just what else she was open to. Thinking about her sexually right now was only going to put me in the mood.

“The sonic scream is impressive, but now that she’s awakened her banshee side, she’ll need to learn what other powers she has and how to control them,” Lucas stated, and I could hear the uncertainty in his voice.

“You don’t like not knowing what she’s capable of,” I noted.

“It’s not that, banshees are linked with death. So we don’t know if some of her powers are dangerous or not. She’s got uni tomorrow, and has a free spot Wednesday, so I think she’ll do the banshee class then.”

“I doubt she’s dangerous. Banshees are foretellers, merely a warning of what’s coming. I doubt she’s got some ability to just kill. Few supes do, and it’s not like they just think someone to death. It’s so much more than that,” I said in an attempt to assure him. Sure, there were death curses and then supes who ate others like the wendigo, but powers that killed, sure, they were out there, but it was something that had to be focused on and wielded, not randomly occurring.

“I hope so,” Lucas said, but I knew he was still concerned by it.

“The necklace she’s wearing, you gave that to her. Can it sense a flare in banshee magic?” I asked. I knew he’d infused it with magic to protect her should the wendigo find her.

“No, but I might alter it, thanks for the idea,” Lucas gave me a grateful smile.

I just shrugged as I eyed my textbook. I really needed to keep studying, but I could only think of Allison now.

Of her infectious laughter and sweet smile, of how beautiful she looked first thing in the morning when getting her breakfast, or how I loved seeing her grinning and laughing when she joined us at lunch with Ollie.

Then there were the naughtier thoughts, thoughts of having her, ravishing her body like the true queen she was.

“Want help with that?” Lucas smirked, his eyes twinkling as they darted down to my crotch.

I chewed my lip, narrowing my eyes at him.

It would help me get my mind off Bee Sting, and satisfy the urge.

He read my expression, waving a glowing purple hand as his whole body lit up.

Then Lucy was pushing off of the far lounge, looking quite cute in her baggy navy suit.

She gave me a sultry smile, biting her lip as she moved my textbook off my lap.

“Did you like seeing me with Allison?” she purred as she climbed into my lap.

Fuck, Lucas loved to tease me with her.

I knew that if others knew of our strange relationship, they’d think we were gay. But I only ever did things with him while he was Lucy. Well, no, I’d accepted head from him a few times, but I preferred to be inside a woman.

“Fuck yes,” I moaned as she ground against me, nibbling on my ear.

“I thought you did,” she chuckled as she waved a hand.

Our clothes were instantly gone, instead folded neatly beside us.

“Do you want to know something else?” she purred against my ear as she reached down to stroke my length.

I moaned softly as I gripped her hips, wanting to drive into her and imagine I was with Allison.

“She took both Ollie and I at once, and she loved it. She let her wolf out with a little coaxing, and she was wild,” Lucy breathed into my ear as she rubbed the tip of my cock against her wet folds.

I growled at the thought, imagining her riding me wildly. The image of it was too much, of her crying out my name as I brought her all the pleasure possible, and I slid up into Lucy’s tight walls.

“Fuck me like you want to fuck her,” Lucy growled as she dug her nails into my shoulders.

That was the final push, and I began thrusting into her, driving her down onto me as I slid my hands around to her firm arse.

She moaned and gasped as I fucked her hard and fast, pounding into her.

I knew the second head had grown and was pleasuring her g-spot as she bounced.

She gasped and mewed as she waved a glowing blue hand, touching her head gently before gripping my shoulders once.

I wondered what she was doing, but I ignored it as I focused on my impending climax.

When I had Allison, I’d take my time with her, but right now, I wanted to finish, I wanted that desperate orgasm.

Lucy arched, her walls tightening around me as she cried out, and I moaned loudly as her walls began milking me.

A few more deep thrusts and I exploded, shuddering as I lolled my head back on the lounge.

“You’re so lucky I blocked our bond, or they would’ve been going at it hard upstairs,” Lucy rasped into my ear as she caught her breath.

I moaned at the thought of Allison getting turned on when I did. So the bond had that effect.

How did any of them get anything done?

“Someone’s looking good today,” Skip remarked as he watched Ollie and I join them under the fig tree for lunch. I was wearing one of my new dresses, which was a floral print summer dress, and he was eyeing my bare legs before his eyes shifted to my cleavage. He finally met my eyes, and I could see the mischief and delight glinting in them.

“Thanks, you’re not so bad yourself,” I stated as I eyed his standard singlet and shorts. At least he wasn’t wearing thongs today, he had on a pair of joggers.

“This gorgeousness needs no extra effort,” he said as he waved a hand around his face. I just laughed and shook my head as Lucas sat against the trunk of the tree, giving me a nice once over as well.

I positioned myself with my laptop bag in my lap so I could sit cross-legged, sipping my chocolate milk before lifting my chicken wrap to my mouth.

“Don’t you have prac? How are they allowing a dress?” Lucas frowned as he pulled the skin off his orange for lunch.

“The only requirement was closed-in shoes. They give us coats or clothes to wear in there, rather than bringing our own,” I stated as I indicated at my joggers. I didn’t care if they didn’t suit the dress overly well, it was too hot today for anything else. I wanted my light dress.

“Huh,” Lucas shrugged before tossing back a piece of orange.

“I’ve arranged to do a banshee class tomorrow morning too,” I added after I’d swallowed my first bite of the crispy chicken wrap.

“That’s exciting,” Skip said as he sipped his can of coke.

“Yeah, she’s glad I’ve awoken my banshee side and wants to see my sonic scream in action,” I grinned, proud of my feat.

Skip asked about our prac session, and we discussed the work we were doing with cats and dogs, before telling us about his day so far.

Lucas got up just as I finished my chocolate milk, having devoured an orange and a sandwich for his lunch.

“I have to head back, but you guys have a good rest of the day. Let me know before the end if you want a lift home,” Lucas said as he bent over to give me a kiss on the forehead.

I was a little taken aback at his show of affection in public, and both Ollie and Skip looked surprised too.

‘We’re mates now, love. No need to hide anything,’ Lucas said mentally, and I looked up at those dark emerald eyes as he remained bent over.

His forefinger and thumb caught my chin, tilting my head back more so he could plant a kiss on my lips.

Not just a soft ‘goodbye’ k
iss either. No, he was giving me a proper kiss, and I sighed as the electrical spark tingled through me and heated me up.

“See you later,” he murmured as he broke away, a knowing look in his eye as he winked at me.

“Damn,” Skip growled softly, and I turned to see the hungry look in his eye. Ollie’s eyes had darkened too, his nostrils flaring as he held his caramello koala up, having been distracted from his next bite.

That little shit did it on purpose.

‘I suggest against a threesome on the university grounds, they have this whole place magicked, you’ll be caught,’ Lucas chuckled.

‘You’re an arse,’ Ollie growled back, and I dropped my eyes to the arousal evident in his shorts.

  Great.

We were all turned on now, even Skip, who could scent my arousal.

“All right, we all need to take a breather and chill,” I said as I held up my hands.

“I think a breather will make things worse, I can smell you from here,” Skip said, his voice lower than usual.

I caught the hungry look in his eye and bit my lip.

Nope. I couldn’t stay here, not with the pair of them looking at me like that. And feeling Ollie’s arousal was not helping.

I scrambled to my feet, rolling my eyes as my cheeks flushed.

“I’ll meet you at class Ollie, I need to go to the bathroom,” I said quickly as I strode off, not giving them a chance to respond.

I needed to tidy up my dampening underwear for sure.

“Wow, a sonic scream, that’s wicked,” Natalie grinned as I stood with her on the back verandah.

Lucas had lugged the bbq out from the garage, and Dixon had an esky of beer and the meats ready to cook later on.

Right now, we were watching them play a game of volleyball in the backyard.

Skip and Lucas had dragged out the volleyball net, and Lucas had magicked the ball back to life since it was deflated and apparently popped.

Now Skip and Lucas were versing my uncle and Ollie, while us girls enjoyed some lime water I’d made as soon as I got home, having picked some fresh limes just for it.

“When are you going to claim that handsome devil?” my grandmother nudged me gently in the side with a wink as she grinned wickedly at Skip. “Take too long, and I’ll claim him.”

“Mom!” Natalie gaped, and my grandmother just chortled as she took her glasses off and let them fall to her neck, held up by a beaded cord around her neck.

“It’s fine,” I laughed, glancing back at Marcus who was sitting at the outdoor table working on his game design.

“It’s good that they already get along so well, have things been okay between them all?” Natalie asked as she leaned on the railing of the verandah.

“Yeah, they’re getting along well,” I said.

“It’s quite interesting, this whole bonding. And your powers. Tomorrow morning will be interesting, promise me you’ll call and tell us everything?” Natalie turned to me, her eyes lit up with excitement for me.

  “Of course!”

“Already animating dead bugs though, I wonder if she’ll have you practicing that. It’s good to know the council doesn’t deem it as necromancy,” my grandmother said as she sipped her glass of lime water.

“Oh, I added Hayley on Facebook too, she just accepted today and we spoke a little. She seems pretty busy though,” I said as I remembered the few messages I’d exchanged with her right after prac.

“Yeah, she’s got college and her boyfriend. They’re still in the honeymoon stage,” Trish chuckled. “Can’t get enough of one another.”

“Mother, please, can you try to keep things PG?” Natalie groaned.

“Relax, she’s an adult,” my grandmother rolled her eyes. “Hell, she’s sleeping with three guys at once!”

Natalie just facepalmed as my face reddened, and my grandmother just laughed at my embarrassment.

Even Marcus was chuckling behind me, and I shot him a look, which he only smiled back at me for.

“You should come visit us one time,” Natalie said once she’d given her mother a stern look. “Back in Maryborough. If you guys are free sometime.”

“Sure, sounds good,” I smiled, loving the invitation to see them in their own home. And she’d made it sound like we were all welcome, which pleased me.

“That big lump better get the barbecue started soon, I’m getting hungry,” Trish said, making sure to make her voice louder at the end.

Dixon glanced over at her and gave her a sheepish look, causing him to miss the incoming volleyball.

The afternoon was one filled with laughs and shared stories all around, and by the time night fell, the guys had gathered up branches and wood from a pile at the back of the garage to create a bonfire, and we all sat in camp chairs around the flames.

Marcus was with us too now, no longer needing to hide in the shade.

“So, do you think you guys will hang around Maple Grove when you finish your studies?” Natalie asked.

“Probably, for a while at least. Besides, this house is mine now, so I doubt I’ll be wanting to move anywhere else, too much history here,” Lucas answered, and Skip and Marcus spoke in agreement.

“That’s good,” my grandmother smiled, holding the can of Woodstock that Skip had grabbed for her. The boys were limiting themselves with their drinking due to Uni tomorrow, and I had stuck with a can of lemonade instead.

“So, Allison, I’ve been told you have your license but no car?” Dixon said from his seat beside me. Marcus was on my other side, and the boys were conversing with my grandmother about some plans they had for once they finished uni. It sounded like they were reconsidering what to do now that they were bound to me, which made guilt stir in me.

“Yeah, got my manual license, but I’m saving up for a car,” I informed him. I was getting there, slowly.

“Any idea what you’ll get?” he asked, genuinely interested in my life.

His soft, friendly expression calmed me, and I found that I’d enjoyed his company tonight so far. He was a cheery man, loving to throw out his dad jokes and laugh.

“Just some sort of sedan probably,” I shrugged.

He chuckled and shook his head at this. “Not a car person, huh?”

“Nah. As long as it gets me around, I’m happy. Besides, I walk to uni mostly, it’s just work that can take a little longer, and if it’s raining, I’d rather the car,” I said. The walk wasn’t too far to work, I’d done it a few times now. But I couldn’t just pop down to the coast for a day out or shopping without my own vehicle.

“Will you get a manual or auto?” Dixon asked, leaning on the arm of his chair to talk easier to me since Skip and Lucas were laughing with my grandmother about something. Natalie was talking to Ollie too about our classes together, and he seemed quite enthralled chatting to her.

“Not too fussed really,” I said. Manual was what I’d had last time, and I didn’t care what the next one was. Something cheap but reliable was all I wanted.

  “What about color?”

I frowned at this. Color didn’t matter. And why was he so interested?

“Her favorite color is blue, sky blue,” Marcus spoke up from my other side, having been listening in.

  Dixon just nodded, smiling softly.

“So, you want to be a veterinarian still?” he changed the subject as he reached for his own can of Woodstock. Natalie was drinking soft drink like me, since she was the designated driver tonight.

“Of course,” I said instantly. “Why wouldn’t I?”

“Well, you’ve got new powers now, and Lucas told me that it can be used to sense illness in people. I was just wondering if you were leaning more towards something else,” he shrugged harmlessly.

I couldn’t do what Sasha did. The dread that came with knowing someone was going to die was too much to live with on basis like she did.

“Nah, I don’t have it in me,” I admitted.

“Don’t be hard on yourself,” he said firmly. “You
can do anything you put your mind to, if you want to. And if helping animals is what you really want to do, then that’s what you should do.”

I nodded, grateful for his easy going personality.

He turned to talk to Natalie, and I settled into my chair, turning to look over at Marcus, and finding him smiling tenderly at me.

  “What?” I asked softly.

“Nothing, you just look happy,” he said as he reached over to take my hand.

His cool skin made me shiver at first, but it was a welcome relief from the warm night air.

  Happy.

I definitely was happy, surrounded by people I loved.

‘Aw, Ally loves us,’ Ollie teased mentally, and I spied those amber eyes across the fire.

  Love.

A strong word that I didn’t throw around lightly.

But right now, in this moment, it was exactly what I felt.

“So, you figured out your sonic scream and accepted your truth,” Sasha beamed as I straightened, my chest heaving after screaming and knocking back an attacking dummy. Even Mr Brady looked thoroughly impressed as we all stood in the soundproof room.

“I have to admit, it is an interesting power,” Mr Brady said as he strode over.

“Any luck with the wendigo?” I instantly asked, unable to shake it from my mind. I’d been doing my best to not think about Derek, but last night, images of his body had plagued my dreams. I’d woken up sweating and in desperate need of a shower.

“Not yet. We are using all possible resources though,” he stated as he clasped his hands behind his back. He reminded me only a little of Lucas, considering he was wearing a grey suit. He always stuck to bland colors though, unlike some of the bright suits Lucas wore.

“Well, I feel you’ve learned it well enough to defend yourself with it, I’ll allow Mr Brady to get back to his other duties and we can work on some other abilities. I’d like you to still practice it when you can though, maybe get Lucas to assist you,” Sasha said as she turned and smiled at Mr Brady.

He looked relieved, and gave her a nod before those dull ocean blue eyes rested on me for a moment.

“If you see it again, have Lucas contact me immediately. We need to be done with this monster. If we don’t find it soon, we may need to alert the community to its presence to assist in finding it. I’d rather avoid the panic that may bring if possible,” he sighed.
