The operative word here is trust. By heeding your intuition in little ways, you begin to gain the confidence to trust it in more pressing life matters.
Getting in better touch with your intuition and following it in nonthreatening ways trains your ego to step back and invites your Spirit to take the reins. In this way the two aspects of self—ego mind and Divine mind—learn to cooperate with each other and become friends. The ego is calmed by the positive benefits that following intuition brings. And your Spirit is at ease as it assumes its proper role as the guiding light of your life.
This is the simplest way of all to live, with head and heart in alignment. Following your intuition won’t necessarily eliminate all of your woes, but it will ease a lot of them. And it will also better allow you to navigate through life’s more difficult passages.
Your intuition is the guiding voice of your life. It’s the light in the dark and the best authority in all matters. Trusting and acting on it affirms that you are a Divine Being, guided by Source, and not a victim of random chaos in a crazy world. You leave the world of fear—or at least it greatly recedes. With your increased peace and clarity, you begin to understand that the answer is simple: The way to love yourself is to live your Spirit. And the way to live your Spirit is to always and in all ways trust your vibes.
Epilogue
Last week as I was bringing this book to its conclusion, I asked my Spirit what she thought was the simplest way to love yourself and live your Spirit. I listened for a moment, and this is what I heard:
Sonia, life’s a theater. As souls, we come here to learn to live, love, create, and forgive. Each lifetime is like a play. We each take on various roles in it: Some are heroes; others, heroines . . . some, villains and victims; others, clowns and fools. It doesn’t matter which role we play, because by the end, we’ve played them all. The only thing that really matters after all is said and done is that we remember that it’s all a Divine play and we, as Spirit, are the creative writers, directors, and actors in every scene.
The point of the play is to remember that we are here to create as Divine Beings—and to forgive all the bad plays we’ve ever written and starred in, and try again. There will always be another scene, another chance, another opportunity to get it right, because we have free will and can do it all over another way if we choose. And the right play, the best play, is the one in which we love with abandon, laugh at everything, forget and forgive quickly and completely, and are eternally grateful for the chance we’ve been given to play in this Divine theater called life in the first place.
For all I’ve said in this book, I think that my Spirit—the Spirit we all share—summarizes it best and makes it very simple. . . . Don’t you?
