My Boss’s Husband: A Forbidden Romance Page 7

by Cassandra Dee

“Oh shit!” I cream. “Shit shit shit!”

“Mmm, baby you like getting butt-fucked don’t you? And in my office too.”

With that, Marcus pulls out again, his eyes glowing with lust and love as he moves above me. I look up at him adoringly even as he slides himself into my welcoming anus again.

  “Yes,” I sigh. “Oh yeeesssss.”

And then it happens. I come hard, my pussy and asshole contracting violently. The pressure is too much and Marcus comes too, letting out a roar as he ejaculates into my bowels. There’s so much come that it seeps out between where we’re joined, the white fluid dripping down my ass and onto his desk.

But in the middle of our passion, suddenly the door bangs open.

“What the fuck?” comes a outraged scream.

Marcus’s ex-wife stands in the doorway, her hands on her hips with an accusatory glare on her face. Unfortunately, neither of us can stop coming. Marcus continues to ejaculate into my ass, balls pumping, as I writhe and scream below him, accepting his semen like a hungry whore.

“What the FUCK?” Marissa screams again. This time, the two of us manage to pull apart for a moment, even if our eyes are still glazed with lust. Marcus pulls out, his tip dripping even as cream rises up from within my asshole to spill out onto my thighs. I hurriedly pull my blouse down and try to smooth my skirt over my exposed privates, even if it’s far too late to actually conceal anything.

But that’s where we’ve underestimated Marissa. The crazed woman pushes into the office and charges towards me like a raging bull. She literally barrels into me, and we go down onto the floor in a mess of tangled limbs and flying hair. How she accomplishes this, I don’t know because Marissa is incredibly skinny and I’m not exactly small. But she’s got momentum on her side, and I tumble to the floor with a thunk, banging my head on the edge of the desk on the way.

There’s a loud scream, and when I reach up to touch my head, my fingers come away warm and wet. The last thing I see before I pass out is Marcus kneeling before me, a horrified expression on his face.

  * * *

This is my worst nightmare. The heart monitor beats at a steady pace, letting me know Addy is still with me, even though her eyes are closed. She’s still and silent in the hospital bed, and I curse myself. The sound of her head hitting the hard metal edge of my desk will never leave my brain. It’s etched there like a nightmare I’ll re-live for the rest of my life.

  I squeeze Addy’s small hand.

“You’re going to be okay, baby,” I whisper. Tears pool in my eyes. How could I have let this happen?

I’m the only one to blame for this. I should have locked my office door. Why the fuck wasn’t it locked, anyways? I should have told the building security guards to bar Marissa from entering, now that she no longer works for the House of Steele.

Instead, I thought only with my dick. I was so caught up in enjoying anal sex with my girl, that I let my guard down. And now, Addy’s pale and injured, and it’s my fault.

  “Mr. Steele?”

Addy’s doctor walks in with a reassuring smile. I try to smile back, even though it comes out more like a grimace.

“She’s fine,” Dr. Lester assures me. “She’s just sleeping. She’ll wake up in no time.”

I nod, my heart still pounding.

“But still, it’s been hours. When?”

  He shakes his head.

“I’m sorry, sir, but I can’t tell you that. Rest assured, however, that her vitals are normal. We’ll get the results of the CT scan soon.”

  “But things look fine, right?”

  He nods.

“For the most part, yes. We won’t know for sure if there’s any damage until we get the CT results, but right now, everything looks fine.”

I breathe a sigh of relief.

  “Thank you.”

“Sure thing,” he nods. “You know, feel free to get food or coffee in the cafeteria if you’d like. If anything changes, I’ll have the nurse give you a call.”

I shake my head, eyes dark.

  “Thanks, but I’d rather stay.”

  “Of course. I understand.”

Dr. Lester leaves to check on his other patients, and I squeeze Addy’s hand a little harder.

“Please wake up, baby,” I beg hoarsely. “Please. I need you so much.”

To my surprise, her lashes begin to flutter, and within a minute, the beautiful girl is looking at me.

“Marcus?” she asks in a hoarse voice. “What happened?”

Tears spill from my eyes, and I bring her hand up to my mouth for a kiss.

“What’s going on? Marcus? Where am I?” she asks again.

I press another kiss to her hand.

  “What do you remember, honey?”

Addy squints and blinks slowly a few times.

“We were in your office. We were …”

Her voice trails off and I smile despite myself.

“I’m glad you remember the best parts.”

She shakes her head, wincing when the movement causes her pain.

“But what happened after that? How long has it been?”

“Just a few hours now. You were out like a light, but the doc said you’d wake up.”

She shakes her head again, squinting like she can’t remember.

“But Marcus, what happened? Why does my head hurt like this?”

  I take a deep breath.

“While we were making love, my ex barged into my office. I have no idea how Marissa got into the building, much less my office, but she pushed you, and you hit your head on the edge of my desk. It’s metal, and you were knocked out.”

Addy pulls her hand from mine and experimentally touches her forehead, where of course, there’s a big white bandage.

“But why would Marissa do this? I don’t understand. You’re divorced. And why did she come looking for you?”

  I shake my head.

  “I don’t know, sweetheart.”

  Addy’s confused.

“Is it because she’s jealous? I mean, I have her old office and her old job now.”

  I sigh.

“Yes, I think it’s jealousy. But I think it’s more than that. I think there’s a difference between psychologically knowing that you’re divorced and actually seeing your former spouse with a new partner. And we weren’t just kissing and holding hands, sweetheart. I was buried inside of you, coating you with my come.”

  She nods.

“Yes, but she knew it was going to happen at some point, right? I mean, you’re divorced. Not even separated, but divorced.”

I shrug, relaxing a bit now that it’s clear Addy’s going to make it out of the woods.

“Yes, but we moved on with each other pretty fast, Ads. I mean, I had you in my bed within how long? One week? Two weeks?”

She nods and flushes a bit then, smiling.

“I think it was one week.”

“Exactly,” I say, taking her hand again. “I needed you so much that I basically went wild when it came to claiming you. This wasn’t a slow courtship. I had you in my bed, screaming my name, as soon as I could.”

  She nods.

“Well, what’s going to happen to Marissa now?”

  My expression is grim.

“She’s sitting in a jail cell at this moment. It was battery, sweetheart. She assaulted you, and caused physical injury. Of course they were going to arrest her.”

Addy gasps, her eyes going wide.

  “Oh my god, jail?”

“She deserves it,” I say in a tight voice.

Addy merely shakes her head again.

“I don’t know if I should press charges.”

  I shake my head slowly.

“Well, you don’t have to decide now, but Marissa was way out of line. No one does that to the woman I love, and gets away with it.”

Suddenly, Addy’s eyes become teary and she squeezes my hand gently.

  “Is that
how you feel about me, Marcus?” she asks in a quiet voice.

I look at her, my blue eyes intense.

“Yes,” I say fiercely. “Seeing you like that, knocked out? It killed me, sweetheart. Suddenly, I knew. I know that I love you, Addison Maplethorpe, and you mean the world to me.”

Her eyes begin to tear, and I lean forward to kiss her again. Her voice is so quiet that I almost don’t hear, but then she repeats the words.

“I love you too, Marcus. With everything that I have.”

I merely kiss her harder, pulling her close, when suddenly there’s a knock on the door. Dr. Lester stands there, a clipboard in his hand.

  “I’m sorry, am I interrupting?”

We pull away from each other.

“No, Doc, it’s okay,” I growl. “Why, what’s up?”

The elderly man looks mirthful as he turns to Addy.

“Well, Miss Maplethorpe, everything checked out except I think you have some news to share.”

I look at my curvy girl even as her cheeks blush. Clearly, she and the doctor have a secret that’s been kept from me.

“What is it, Ads?” I ask. “Your health is of the utmost importance to me. Is there something that I should know?”

The beautiful girl blushes, and turns to me again. Meanwhile, the doctor steps out with a wink, and we’re alone once more. Addy takes my hand and then inhales deeply, her eyes sparkling.

“Marcus,” she says quietly. “I’m pregnant. You’re going to be a father.”

The entire world grinds to a halt as I stare at this woman.

“Are you serious?” I stammer, falling to my knees beside her hospital bed. “Oh my god!”

“Are you happy?” she asks, tears in her eyes again.

“More than happy,” I confirm, leaning forward to seize her mouth with my own. “Absolutely ecstatic.”

After all, this is the culmination of my dreams. This woman, this job, this business, and now, this baby as well. I adore Addison Maplethorpe, and intend on claiming her as mine, forever.

  Two years later.

Marcus sits on the floor, playing with our beautiful daughter as she squeals. He laughs and turns to me.

“She looks just like you,” he marvels. Carmella grabs a block and bangs it up and down on the floor, as sixteen-month-olds are wont to do.

I stroke our daughter’s cheek and giggle.

“Yes, but with your blue eyes.”

After all, Carmella is the perfect blend of both of us. She has my curly brown hair, and sometimes I see my nose in hers. But she also has Marcus’s bright blue eyes and stubborn, yet charming, personality.

“She’s perfect,” Marcus says, beaming at his daughter.

I lean over and kiss him.

  “You’re right.”

Marcus’s phone dings with an email, but he ignores it. After all, we have a rule at home: no shop talk after eight p.m., come hell or high water. After all, we still work at the House of Steele, so it’s easy to bring work home. But that’s not what we want, nor is it what we need. After two years, our plus-size line has taken off, and it’s so popular that the House of Steele is now a global brand. We’ve become billionaires from our success, and we have a wonderful staff to run the business even when we’re not there.

But then my face falls slightly as Carmella pounds her brick against the floor again.

“Have you heard from Marissa’s institution?”

Marcus’s expression is grim and he jerks his head in a nod.

“They sent me an update last weekend. She’s doing really well there, Adds. You don’t have to worry. Now that we know she’s bi-polar, they’ve got her on a strict drug regimen, and are watching her closely. I’m glad she’s finally getting the help she needs.”

I nod because we decided not to press charges after Marissa was evaluated by a psychiatrist and given her diagnosis. More than anything, I felt bad for her because she was obviously suffering, and had no anchor, the way that I have Marcus. Fortunately, she has a wonderful team of doctors and social workers, and with the medication, she seems to be thriving. Plus, my boyfriend’s ex has started painting, and we even have one of Marissa’s pieces hung in the guest bedroom. Despite everything, I wish her well.

“I’m glad to hear that. Next time you talk to her, tell her I say hello.”

“I always do,” Marcus says. He’s still listed as Marissa’s emergency contact because honestly, she doesn’t have anyone else. She’s managed to alienate all of her family and friends over the years, and now her ex-husband is the only person who was willing to take on power of attorney. It’s a huge responsibility, but I’m proud of my boyfriend for handling it.

But then Marcus smiles at me and takes my hand.

“Enough of that sad talk. Everything I have is because of you, Addy.”

  I smile back.

“You mean, the business? Lots of people want to get into plus-size now. I think we were just one of the first prestige brands to do it.”

  He shakes his head.

“No, not just that, Addison. I have you, and I have our family. You mean more to me than the House of Steele because I could rebuild the fashion line if I wanted to, but I could never re-create what I have with you.”

Tears come to my eyes and I lean forward to press my lips against his tenderly.

“Then, I hope you’ll be happy to hear my news,” I whisper. “Because I’m pregnant again. You’re going to be a daddy, and Carmella’s going to have a little brother or sister in about six months.”

Marcus’s eyes go wide and to my surprise, his eyes begin to tear as well. He kisses my hand feverishly.

“Really, sweetheart? Are you really pregnant?” he asks while pressing a reverent hand against my belly, as if saying hello to the child within. I nod, and then he drops to one knee before me. Carmella squeals at this display and I go still with shock. Is this really happening?

Sure enough, Marcus procures a huge diamond from his pocket and holds it before me, his eyes filled with love and support.

“Addison Maplethorpe, you are everything I’ve dreamed of in a woman. You’re smart, sharp, beautiful, a wonderful mother, and an even better partner. I love you more than words can say. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”

I clap my hands with pleasure, and Carmella copies me, squealing with glee.

“Oh my God, yes! Of course! Yes!”

Marcus stands up and seizes my mouth in a kiss. Of their own accord, my arms wind around his neck, pulling him close in adoration as our daughter watches. After all, I couldn’t ask for a more perfect life. We have everything, including a beautiful daughter, a thriving business, and another baby on the way.

Sneak Peek: My Dad’s Business Partner

  Harlow

Harlow decides to be a bad girl her first day on the job.

Jane went shopping with me last week for work clothes because she said I had nothing appropriate. I’m thankful, because my friend is right. All my so-called “work clothes” were shabby and too tight. I put on the freshman fifteen and then the sophomore twenty, so I’m a bigger girl now. New clothes were definitely needed.

Now, I pull up to Kombuchaid headquarters in a pale gray skirt suit and white lace blouse. My leather messenger is by my side, and I swing it over one shoulder while getting out of my car. I’m still awkward in heels, mincing across the parking lot, but at least they make me feel taller and more confident.

As I enter the glass doors, I hear a sharp voice call out across the marble waiting area.

“Miss Marshall?” A severe woman in an eggplant suit stal
ks over to me in stilettos. She has far too much makeup on and one of those “I want to speak to your manager” hairstyles. I’m immediately intimidated.

  “Yes?”

She gives me a perfunctory nod.

“I’m Karen, and I’m here to show you around on your first day. Follow me.” And with that, she spins on her heel and walks away, her mouth pursed like she’s just bitten into a lemon. Clearly, Karen doesn’t want to be doing this, and wishes I were dead. I instantly do not like her. She’s skinny and rude and reminds me far too much of my mother but what choice do I have?

Silently, I follow her through the labyrinth of Kombuchaid headquarters and end up completely lost by the time we arrive at my desk. It’s my own little gray corner of office hell, and I wonder if I’m being punished for something. There are probably shackles under the desk, come to think of it, although I force myself not to look.

  “Um, thanks,” I mutter.

“Only the best for Brent’s daughter,” Karen says with an ugly twist to her mouth. “There’s nothing for you to do right now, but I’m sure you can occupy your time with your phone or something.”

  I nod tightly.

“I’m happy to do whatever is needed, Karen. I can run copies or go get coffee if you like.”

Her sharp laugh is more like a bark. I turn to see if anyone heard, but there’s no one in the office yet.

“No, it’s fine. I’m sure you’ll find something to do. Just sit here, okay? That’s it. That’s the job.”

God, why is this woman such a bitch? I didn’t ask to be the boss’s daughter.

“Thanks,” I say tightly. “I’ll keep you updated.”

“Great,” she says coldly before disappearing down a hallway.

I’m pretty shocked at how openly hostile Karen is. I mean, who acts like that straight off the bat? Clearly, she’s got a chip on her shoulder from something or other.
