Aiden: I don’t want to be that controlling guy, but please don’t have anything else to drink. I’m not there to help you, and I’m worried about you. If you don’t stop drinking, I’ll have to catch an early plane, so I can look after you. xoxo
I squint, trying to read the message through my blurry eyes. Controlling much? I can’t have another drink? Well, watch this! I stumble my way over to the bar. The bartender looks at me while I am trying my best to pretend I’m not drunk.
“What would you like?”
“Another Pina,” hiccup “Colada, thanks.” He makes my drink, and I grab hold of the glass and walk toward the dance floor. I pick my straw out and throw it over my shoulder—don’t need that.
“Hey, watch it!” I hear someone call out. I giggle and keep walking, more like stumbling, while I down my drink in one go.
There! I will drink whatever I want.
I hand my empty glass to some random guy, and he looks at me, furrowing his eyebrows, then I try to find Sarah and Chris. I know I’m stumbling around, but I don’t care. I’m having fun. I walk up behind Sarah and wrap my arms around her and Chris, resting my head on her shoulder. I can feel her giggling while Chris smiles at me.
“Hey, Jeni.”
“Hey, Chris.”
I let go of a swaying Sarah and Chris and take out my phone to message Aiden back.
Jenifer: Babay im noT eveen drinking anymoore3. Nope need to worries but I do mwiss yo.
I hit Send but don’t check my message before I send it. I go to put it away, but it vibrates almost instantly. I giggle and hiccup as I squint to read the message.
Aiden: That’s it! I’m getting on the next plane. See you soon.
My eyes open wide at the message, and then I squint to read it again.
He can’t be serious, can he? He’s not actually coming home because I’m wasted?
Fuck!
Shit!
Crap!
I look at Sarah and Chris, and they’re oblivious to the fact that Aiden’s coming home. Niall will be so pissed with me that he’s coming home early from a business trip because I can’t handle my liquor. I don’t know what to do.
A pair of hands wrap around from behind, resting on my tits and then squeezing them. My breasts are kind of tender at the moment which indicates I must be getting my period soon. I stand there in shock that someone is manhandling me, and for a minute, I do nothing, but then my brain kicks in, and I turn around to slap the guy across the face.
“Fuck off. I’m spoken for…” I squint and blink, then almost cry when I realize who it is. “Aiden?”
He rubs his cheek, and a wicked grin appears on his face.
“Oh my God, what are you doing here?” I blurt out in my drunken emotional state.
“I missed you, too.” He pulls me to him. “I thought I’d trick you by telling you I was coming back later than I actually was. That’s why I haven’t talked to you today because I was on a flight home. After Chris dropped you girls here, he came to the airport and picked me up. I wanted to surprise you. So, surprise!”
“Wait… so Sarah and Chris both knew you were coming home today?” I ask as they make their way over to us.
Aiden nods, and Chris chuckles at my expense. I lean into Aiden and hug him tightly, suddenly feeling very sober. “God, I missed you.”
“I missed you, too. Now kiss me.”
I lean up on my toes and kiss him with all the passion I can muster, which is a little hard considering the state I’m currently in.
Leaning in, I kiss Aiden gently, he exhales, and rolls onto his back, and I nuzzle my head into his chest.
“Why do we have to go to work?” he asks.
“We don’t,” I reply cheekily.
“Oh, and what should we do instead?”
“How about this?” I slowly kiss his neck.
He moans. “Yes, loving that.”
“And, what about this?” I move my hand down his chiseled abdomen to his cock, gently stroking its hard length.
“Mmm… yes.”
Turning on his side facing me, I continue to play with him. He moves in and places his finger on my clit, gently caressing me. Suddenly, his fingers are inside me, and I roll onto my back in pleasure while he deeply kisses me, moving in and out of me with his fingers. I moan with pleasure as the heat rises, and as quickly as he started, he stops. He kisses me on the forehead and gets up out of bed leaving me panting and wanting more.
I huff as he makes his way to the closet. “Tease,” I call out.
“Payback’s a bitch, isn’t it?”
Laying there dissatisfied and completely and utterly aroused, I shout, “You’re mean.”
Aiden walks out of the closet holding a suit for himself and a skirt and top for me. “Like I said, payback.” He raises his eyebrows.
“I’m going to be turned on all day.”
He pulls me up from the bed to get dressed. “Now you’ll know what it’s like.” A giant satisfied smirk spreads over his face.
We have our usual toast and coffee breakfast, then head to the parking garage to greet Mike, who’s waiting.
“Morning, Miss Taylor, Mr. O’Connell.” Mike opens the door, and Aiden and I scoot in. I sit next to him feeling clingy as I cuddle into his side. He wraps his arm around me, nuzzling into my hair.
We finally arrive at work and make our way to the main foyer.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Mr. O’Connell,” Josie calls out from behind the desk.
“Thank you, Josie.”
I roll my eyes at her and her desperation. On our way to the elevators, I’m hoping Aiden will give me some relief. To my utter disappointment, his only response to my fidgeting the whole way up is to stare at me with a crooked smile. Adding, “It’s almost painful, isn’t it?” Looking at him, my brows crease in confusion. “Being turned on and not being able to do anything about it. It’s painful.”
“Yes, it is!” I give him the evil eye.
The doors open, and Brielle’s sitting at her desk as Niall walks out and spots Aiden. “Good, you’re finally here.”
“We’re not late.”
“Details, details. The Tokyo manager is coming in today to talk about the last phase of our acquisition. We need to get this organized.” Niall strides toward him, taking him by the arm and walks them back to his office.
Aiden looks back at me and winks, the cocky asshole. I saunter over to my desk and turn on my computer. I can’t help but shuffle in my seat feeling very uncomfortable, almost unbearably so. I may have to relieve myself in the bathroom if this feeling doesn’t calm down soon.
“What romantic plans do you guys have for tonight?” Brielle asks, breaking me from my internal dilemma.
I shrug. “No idea. I don’t think we’re doing anything. Not that I know of, anyway.”
“If the most romantic couple I know isn’t doing anything for Valentine’s Day, then there’s absolutely no hope of Logan taking me anywhere, then.”
“Oh, I’m sure Logan has something planned.”
She exhales. “I hope so. Valentine’s Day without romance is like a fish without gills, like a camel with no humps, and a building without windows.”
“A building without windows?”
She shrugs. “It was all I could think of at the time.”
The elevator dings, and the Tokyo Manager, Mr. Kaito Takahashi, comes in with his entourage. They meet in the boardroom for hours finalizing the O’Connell Finance acquisition of one of Tokyo’s largest financial institutions. I stare at Aiden in the boardroom, imagining all the downright sinful things I could be doing with him right now, which is counter-productive because it’s only making me worse and my panties drenched.
“Jeni… Jeni, do you have the Anderson file?” Brielle distracts me from thoughts.
I shake my head out of my trance. “Yeah, of course, it’s right here.” I pull the file out of my filing cabinet as Aiden and the men head out of the boardroom toward the elevators. The Japanese men bo
w, and Aiden and Niall put out their hands for Mr. Takahashi to shake. Aiden and Niall head back to their respective offices and just like that, another O’Connell deal is struck.
Biting my bottom lip, I have an idea. Standing, I walk to Aiden’s office, knocking on the door.
“Come in,” he calls out.
Opening the door, I walk in and close it behind me, discreetly turning the lock.
“Hey, baby,” Aiden chimes.
“How did it go with Mr. Taka-hash-brown or whatever his name is?”
He laughs loudly. “Great. It’s full steam ahead. Father and Brielle will go over there in a couple of months to help, and we’ll have the office to ourselves.”
Smiling, I make my way over and around his desk to sit in front of him, hitching my skirt up enough for him to get a glimpse of my panties.
“Why, Miss Taylor, that’s not very ladylike.”
“A lady wouldn’t try to seduce you, now would she?” I lean forward pulling on his tie.
His eyebrow raises, and a crooked smile appears on his face. “Jeni, I love you but not here.”
I frown while jumping off his desk and turn his desk chair around so he’s facing me. Quickly I sit on his lap, one leg either side of him.
“Jeni.” His eyes firmly lock in on my breasts.
“Mmm?” I murmur, pushing my breasts toward his face, smothering him in my cleavage.
“We’re at work.” His voice is muffled by my cleavage.
I groan in annoyance and sit up. “Don’t say I didn’t try.”
Aiden taps the desk for me to sit. So, I do. It seems he can sense my shift in mood and stands in front of me. “You’ll be all right.”
Completely annoyed by his lack of enthusiasm, I go to stand. He stops and kisses me, stepping between my legs and takes hold of my ass, pulling me toward him. I wrap my legs around his body and kiss him feverishly, my tongue on his.
He lets go and pulls his lips from mine softly. “There, that should tide you over till tonight.”
Frustration fills me as I groan. It won’t tide me over, but I move to get down, knowing he’s not going to budge. “Fine,” I murmur, but he stops me from getting off the desk.
This time Aiden leans in and kisses me, it’s heated as his hands grab my ass and he pulls me back into his groin. He takes my weight and yanks me off the desk as he walks to the sofa, carrying me while we are locked in a steamy kiss. His tongue collides with mine roughly, letting me know he means business as he lays me on the sofa and undoes his belt.
I give myself a well-earned pat on the back, knowing I’ve won.
Thank God.
I don’t know that I could’ve waited until tonight to have him.
Aiden quickly undoes his zipper, freeing his rock-hard cock. He lowers his pants to just below his ass. He swiftly pulls off my panties, and then he hovers on top of me. I’m panting with want, and I’m soaking wet for him.
“This has to be quick, and try to be quiet,” he whispers.
“Mm-hmm.”
He slowly enters me, and I exhale as the feeling I’ve needed all day finally overcomes me.
“Oh God,” I murmur when he starts to move inside me. My breathing is instantly fast as he pulls out and enters me again harder this time. His breathing escalates while I claw at his suit. I can’t help it, I start to moan while finally receiving the pleasure I’ve been craving.
“Shh, baby.” He slows, bringing the fever down a notch.
The pleasure is pulsating through my very core, ready to erupt. I exhale again with a moan. Aiden covers my mouth with his hand, trying to muffle my sounds as he thrusts relentlessly into me.
“Jeni,” he whispers. His face starts to clench as he removes his hand and kisses me to stop any noise I might make. We kiss frantically while we fuck on his sofa. This is so hot. The feeling of being caught is exhilarating, while he continues to thrust inside me.
“Baby…” I hear it, but it’s spoken very softly.
To muffle my moans, I move my hand back to my mouth. The pleasure is almost too much to bear. Aiden looks into my eyes, and the heat rises instantly. I arch my back, my teeth lock onto his shoulder when I’m overcome with pleasure, and he growls in response. Bliss overwhelms my body as my skin prickles in goosebumps and my muscles clench and tighten, then release as I reach for my desperately needed climax. And that’s it, my breathing hitches, and I fall apart beneath him.
Aiden keeps moving while I hold onto him tightly. His face crunches, and he does the same. He pushes his mouth into my shoulder moaning, then he explodes inside of me.
Both panting for breath, he slumps on top of me and relaxes as we lay on the sofa to recover.
“I’ve created a monster.” Aiden pulls out, and I giggle as he leans over, pulling some tissues from the box to clean us both.
“Well, this was entirely your fault,” I jest, standing to find my panties.
He smirks. “Feel better now?”
“Much. Thank you. Don’t think I could have lasted the day. Was I loud? I tried so hard not to be.”
“I fucking hope not.”
“Guess we’ll know when I go back out there.” He stands, and I straighten his tie while he tucks himself back into his pants, then walks over to his desk drawer. He pulls out his men’s body cologne and sprays. I stand from the sofa and stumble a little, my legs now feeling like Jell-O. Stepping over to his desk, I gently kiss him again.
“Now, get back to work.” He puts on his bossy, demanding voice.
I laugh and make my way to the door, unlocking it, hoping there’s no audience on the other side. He winks when I look back at him, and I open the door and walk out.
Brielle is busy typing, and Niall is nowhere to be seen.
Wow, I think we got away with it.
Quickly making my way back to my desk, I continue with my work feeling completely satisfied.
My needs now fulfilled.
Thank you, Aiden.
Logan’s picking Brielle up and taking her out for dinner. The elevator chimes, and Brielle looks up, waiting for Logan to come through. The doors open to a very large bunch of flowers and Logan. He steps out of the elevator, and Bree reacts with squeals of excitement while I smile at the two of them. Aiden walks out of his office, and he looks at Logan and Brielle, then he hugs me from behind as Niall walks out of his office.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Bree,” Logan announces.
“What a crock of shit!” Niall grunts as he makes his way grumpily to the elevator.
I roll my eyes behind Niall’s back as we walk to the elevator, leaving Logan and Bree alone in the office. The doors open, and Aiden holds my hand. Aiden and I might not be doing anything in particular for Valentine’s Day, but at least we managed some special time today at the office. I feel far more relaxed now than I did this morning.
After our drive home, we make our way up to the apartment. When the doors open, I hear soft music playing. Immediately I notice our living room has been transformed. It’s decorated with red roses and they are everywhere with a path of rose petals that lead to the balcony. Sporadically placed candles glisten, flickering in the slight breeze as they light up the beautiful room. The whole apartment smells divine. Excitement instantly ripples through me as I suck in a quick breath taking in the beauty surrounding me.
“Oh my God. This is beautiful, Aiden,” I gush.
Aiden guides me with his hand at the small of my back to the balcony where I see petals spread all over the tiles. The table, which is set for two, has a bottle of Bollinger champagne sitting in the middle. Little tiny love hearts and xoxo confetti is sprinkled all over the tablecloth, giving it a romantic flare. I walk to the edge of the balcony and take it all in.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Jeni,” Aiden whispers in my ear.
“Happy Valentine’s Day.” I hold him tightly, utterly elated that he did all this for me.
Walking over to the table, he pulls out my chair before taking his seat. He looks toward the kitche
n and waves his hand at Marissa, our maid.
“Good evening, Miss Taylor, Mr. O’Connell. Dinner’s nearly ready.”
“Thank you,” we both say in unison.
She turns and disappears into the kitchen as I shake my head in awe. “This is amazing and much more than I expected.” Reaching across the table, I take hold of his hand.
He pulls my hand up to his mouth and kisses it tenderly as Marissa walks out and places two plates of bruschetta in front of us.
“Thanks, Marissa.”
She dips her head and goes back inside. We eat in silence, enjoying the food too much to talk.
Once finished, Aiden holds up his champagne flute. “To us!”
“To us!”
We both take a drink of the crisp, bubbly champagne to his toast, then dinner is served. The meal is mouth-wateringly sumptuous. I can’t believe how lucky I am. “This has been the best Valentine’s Day ever. Well, except for you withholding sex from me for so long.”
He chuckles and takes a sip of his champagne.
“No, honestly, every Valentine’s Day with Jason was terrible. I know I don’t talk about him much, and that’s how it should be, but Valentine’s Day was … well, we would never celebrate it. He told me basically every year I wasn’t worthy of any kind of celebration. He’d get drunk and then take it out on me with a full-on argument about how useless I was... All I can say is thank God I’m no longer with him, and that I found you.”
Aiden looks deeply into my eyes. “I’d never talk to you like that. He sounds like a douchebag.”
“He is a douchebag.” I laugh as Marissa comes out with a decadent dessert which I thoroughly enjoy.
After we finish our meals, Aiden pulls me close to him, wrapping one arm around my waist and holds the other hand tight to his chest as he leads us in a slow dance. I relax against him, smiling as we sway while the sun sets over the city.
Could there be a more perfect end to a simply perfect day?
We make our way back to our seats, and he pulls a box from his jacket pocket.
“I know we didn’t talk about presents, but I couldn’t resist this when I saw it.” He hands me a little blue box which I know instantly is another gift from Tiffany’s.
