Trixie Provoked Page 24

by Viktor Redreich

It was turning out to be a sad day for everyone because everyone was feeling Rick’s ire about the fallout.

Instead of answering her question, Jake fell into one of the guest chairs – the same one his dad had used the night he’d stopped by her office.

Trixie forcibly moved her thoughts away from the traitorous road she’d headed down.

Jake slouched down in the chair and ran his hand through his already disheveled hair with a tired sigh.

He closed his eyes and said, “I screwed up.”

She knelt before him and took his hand. She moved gracefully though she was dressed in her staple work outfit of high heels and a tight pencil skirt.

There was a long silence as he gathered his thoughts then continued, “I just had a very long discussion with my dad. Well, more like, he yelled, and I listened.”

Ahh. Trixie had imagined that such a meeting would have been inevitable and couldn’t possibly have gone well. Clearly, she’d been correct.

Rick had been livid when the Japanese man walked out of the party.

A lot of other prominent figures in their business world had followed the man when Jake continued to act out, eventually passing out drunk in the middle of the festivities.

Once the family and staff were the only ones left on the estate, Rick had cursed up a storm and ordered one of the more muscular men to carry Jake out of his sight before he caused him bodily harm.

She’d hoped he would have calmed down by the morning, but that apparently had not been the case.

Jake confirmed Rick’s emotional state when he said, “Saying he’s pissed is an understatement. He chewed my ass out real good about how I embarrassed everyone in front of such an important business partner. This was a business deal worth millions, and now, I have stupidly gone and thrown it all away. Fuck. I can not believe I messed up so bad. I don’t know what came over me?”

He ended his speech with a groan.

His eyes were tortured with his self-bashing, and Trixie felt terrible for him. She’d heard rumors about Rick’s wrath and knew the meeting couldn’t have been easy for the younger man.

“I’m so sorry, babe. I’m sure he’ll forget about it soon,” she offered in an attempt at comforting him.

Jake laughed bitterly, “I’m not so sure. He almost fired me, Trixie.”

  Trixie gasped.

“In fact, the only reason he didn’t was because I damn near groveled at his feet for a second chance. It was so embarrassing,” he continued. “He’s sending me to China, Trixie.“

Trixie thought she heard wrong and it took her a moment to process the question, “What?”

“He is taking away everything that I know, all the comforts I love in this city and sending me to live in one of the industrial parts of China to oversee the company’s supply chain.”

More silence spread out between the couple. The clock ticked on the wall mocking them. The muted noise of the employees outside joined the clock, and for a time, those were the only things heard.

Then Trixie said the first thing that emerged from the jumble inside her head.

  “What about the wedding?”

They hadn’t yet set a date but hadn’tt planned on a long engagement either.

“Dad wants me to leave by the end of the month, so we're going to have to get married quickly,” he said. “Sorry, babe, we won't be able to have that fancy, elaborate wedding you wanted. Not unless we can pull off a miracle.”

Trixie mourned internally for a few seconds because she’d been looking forward to planning the wedding of her dreams, but there was a more pressing issue.

“Jake, I’m not sure I can live in some remote part of China with you. I love living in the city. I’m happy here. I really can’t imagine living anywhere else.” she told him.

His hand grew cold in hers, and he sat up straight to look directly at her for the first time since he’d entered the room.

“What are you saying? What’s more important? Living in the city or living with me?” he asked.

Trixie looked away from his intense gaze, but she felt his hand tremble in hers despite the strength in his voice.

She’d committed to being with this man for better or worse. She was staying at his side. She would continue to work at the Chinese office and was sure they would make their way back to living in the city eventually. She was sure this whole situation would blow over soon. It had to.

She looked back at Jake and offered a small smile.

“Of course, I’d choose you over the city any day. I would go to the ends of the earth for you, you know that” she said finally. “We’ll just have to make the best of our new living conditions, that’s all.”

Jake returned her smile and looked relieved.

He stood and pulled her up with him.

“Let’s take the rest of the day off and go somewhere,” he said. “I need to take everything that’s happened within the last twenty-four hours off my mind. And bring stuck in this building ain’t helping.”

“But it’s a Monday. I have a ton of work to do,” she protested.

Jake pulled her close and kissed her neck.

“Screw it. We’re both moving to China soon. Let’s just skip work and go have some fun while we still can.”

  It was reckless and irresponsible.

It appealed to the side of Trixie’s personality that loved risk and even though she knew she should have gotten back to work, she grabbed her jacket then grabbed Jake’s hand and said, “Let’s get out of here.”

She’d deal with the consequences later.

Thirty minutes later, the two were speeding away from the city, buoyant with laughter.

Jake had gotten one of his dad's expensive sports cars from the basement garage. The top of the convertible was down, and they were driving upstate.

High on rebellion and in need of a good time, the two threw caution to the wind quite literally as the car zoomed along the side of a cliff overlooking the ocean.

Jake’s foot was on the accelerator, and he was shifting into high gear. He had no intention of slowing down any time soon even as the car screeched around the edges of the steep cliff.

His smile was manic as he looked at the passenger seat next to him where Trixie screamed in excitement.

Adrenaline pumped through her veins making her feel so high she could have exploded.

Even if she were to get in trouble for ditching work she’d have few regrets, she thought as the wind blew her loose hair all around her face. The strands stung where they lashed her, yet she found even that exciting.

Her hands were in the air, and she let the soundwaves slide through her fingers as she danced along to the music booming from the speakers.

The car shook from the bass vibrations working their way into her limbs and settling in her pussy.

A devious look crossed Jake’s face then, and he said, “Take your top off. I want to see your tits.”

Trixie giggled. “Someone’s gonna see us.”

Though the traffic was light that time of day, they had passed a few other vehicles since the start of their wild excursion.

“So? Do you care?” he returned.

She thought about it then replied, “No I don't.”

“Then what are you waiting for? Ditch the top, babe.”

And that was precisely what Trixie did.

First, she unbuttoned the formal top, then she took things up a notch by holding the top up and letting it fly away with the wind.

“You’re wild!” Jake shouted as the fabric flew away. “You’re really doing it.”

“You haven’t seen anything yet,” she told him cheekily.

Reaching behind her, she undid the hooks of her lacy, green bra and let the straps fall off her shoulders.

She kept the cups over her breasts and shook her shoulders asking, “Should I let this go too?”

“Come on, don’t be a tease. Let me see them.” Jake yelled over a gust of wind.

  A car came arou
nd a corner, and he served at the last second to avoid a collision. He’d been driving in the center of the road and continually glancing over at Trixie.

“Whoo-hoo,” Trixie shouted as she let the bra go.

It followed the path the shirt had taken a few moments ago.

She laughed when she noticed the shocked looks on the faces of the other car’s occupants. She jiggled her titties to give them a show.

“That’s why I fuckin’ love you!” Jake shouted over the wind with fierce affection in his eyes. “You’re always up for anything. You have no inhibitions. Like, I know that if I asked you to suck my cock right now, you’d do it without any of that coy, innocent bullshit.”

She cupped his cock and found that he was already hard.

“Aww baby, is that your sneaky way of asking for a blowjob?” she teased.

“You know it,” he replied with a toothy grin.

“Keep your eyes on the road,” she instructed as she unbuckled his pants and pulled his throbbing shaft out.

He was so excited, either from arousal or from the thrill of their recklessness, that he was already leaking precum.

She licked it up and did a few fancy tricks with her tongue around the head of his dick.

“Oh yeah, baby, that’s it.” Jake groaned and took one hand off the wheel to put pressure on the back of her head.

“Suck me,” he demanded, and she opened her mouth wide to take him inside.

The car swerved when she did, and she laughed around his thick erection.

She was unbelievably aroused and gushing between her legs. She pulled him deep into her throat.

Jake was driving like a madman, and Trixie was loving that she was driving him crazy.

Jake tensed, and she knew he was about to cum.

“Oh fuck!” he shouted, but his voice wasn’t filled with the sexual need she’d expected.

Panic laced his words, and she understood why when she heard the loud honk-honk-honk of an oncoming Mack truck.

She didn’t have time to pull her mouth from Jake’s cock before the crash.

The impact jarred her and threw her away from her fiancé.

Then she heard, saw and felt nothing more as she fell into a sea of darkness and lost consciousness.

  Chapter 9

  Don’t get cocky

“I am absolutely fine! There is no reason for me to be confined to this bed. I’m perfectly capable of walking around.”

Trixie had been trying to reason with the hospital staff all morning, enunciating and pronouncing each syllable loudly and clearly to show them that there was nothing wrong with her.

She reclined on the metal-framed bed, nurses wafting in and out of the sunlit hospital room. Two days had passed since the accident that totaled Rick’s car and almost took her life as well as Jake’s.

Trixie had finally come to, disoriented and confused, a few hours ago. It took the doctor a good ten minutes to bring her up to speed with the events that had transpired.

She was embarrassed now at her reckless behavior and didn’t want to be reminded that she had, yet again, gotten herself into a terrible situation that could have been avoided if she’d been able to control her need for excitement.

Luckily, she’d been left only with minor bruises and a few stitches off to the side of her forehead.

Fortunately, her head had been under the steering wheel when the impact occurred. Otherwise, things may have been far worse.

She blushed every time she thought about the compromising position she and Jake had been found in. She’d been delivered to the hospital without a shirt and now only had a hospital gown to preserve her modesty.

She’d heard a few of the nurses talking and giggling about it what she and Jake must have been doing when the accident occurred. Determined to ignore their curious looks and veiled whispers, Trixie climbed out of the hospital bed, intending to walk to the room door to close it. It was none of their business what she did with her man, and she felt no need to explain herself to any of them.

“I’m sorry, ma’am. You’re not allowed to get out of bed just yet. Doctor’s orders,” a nurse said without taking her eyes off the numbers on a screen she as recorded data onto her clipboard.

Trixie flopped back into bed sighing in frustration and instantly regretted the rash movement when pain shot through every part of her body. The pain was especially sharp in her head, and for a moment she saw stars.

The nurse gave her a knowing look before saying, “I’ll be back in a few minutes with your pain medication. Stay put,” before she disappeared out of the room.

Trixie was left staring up at the ceiling contemplating the irony that was her life.

Her phone buzzed on the stand next to the bed, and she grabbed it, needing the distraction from her thoughts and the growing pain spreading throughout her body.

The notification indicated that it was an email from work.

Tapping in the number to her department, she talked with one of the associates about fulfilling the requirements of that email.

Then she explained that she’d been in an accident--leaving out the embarrassing details, of course--but that she would try to come into work that afternoon or as soon as she could get the hell out of that goddamned hospital.

The man she was talking to informed her that Rick had already appraised her supervisor of the situation and she was officially on sick leave with permission to take the entire week off.

  That fact gave Trixie pause.

Rick had stopped by the hospital briefly, and the words they exchanged were short before he rushed off to see to Jake’s condition.

She’d not been able to look him in the eye, and he had not mentioned the activities she and Jake had been engaged in when they’d destroyed his car. She was sure he knew though. Everyone knew.

Luckily, she hadn’t faced Sandra yet. The woman had gone on a vineyard tour in France with a few of her friends and didn’t want to be bothered, “just because Jake wants to act like a child and get himself hurt.”

“I have important work to do. To hell with this stupid sick leave,” Trixie told her coworker.

She couldn’t afford to miss work, not after the humiliating situation she now found herself in. She’d lost sight of her goals and ambitions for a second and made a bad decision.

Damage control was required and staying away from work was not the way to fix things.

She hung up before her coworker could say anything more.

The nurse came back in and injected a clear substance into Trixie’s IV.

She assumed it was the pain medication and she was grateful though she refused to express her gratitude. She didn’t want the medical staff knowing just how much she really hurt lest they keep her bedridden even longer.

She inquired about Jake yet again.

“Where is he? If you guys aren’t going to let me out of bed, at least give me a room closer to his. I need to know how he’s doing.” she insisted.

The nurse, a dark-skinned woman with curly hair twisted up into a wild bun, finally seemed to take pity on Trixie and answered her for the first time.

“Your fiancé is fine, although he is still unconscious. He’ll be out for at least the next few days. His collarbone was completely shattered in the crash, and he had surgery to fix it. With care and rest, it should heal nicely.”

The nurse looked away and coughed before continuing awkwardly, “He also needed an operation to fix his penis after you apparently bit through it when the two vehicles impacted. A blood vessel was severed, and he now has limited sensation to that particular part of his anatomy.” The woman tried to mask a wince but failed. “The doctor will have to give you more details on the way forward in that regard.”

Trixie’s eyes grew wide, and she gasped.

The silence that followed was heavy, and the nurse turned away without saying anything else to a stunned Trixie.

Dimly, Trixie became aware that the medication was doing its job and the physical pain had b
egun to face.

Now her head hurt for an entirely different reason.

Three days later, Jake remained unconscious.

Trixie was sitting at his bedside stroking his hair and face while she spoke quietly to his still body.

He looked battered and bruised. There were scores of scratches on his face from the windshield glass smashing in his direction.

His skin was pale, his hair limp and greasy. No matter how much he was poked and prodded by the hospital staff, he wouldn’t wake up.

She never thought a day would come when she’d see him like this. As long as she’d known Jake, he’d always been so full of life and energy. To see him unconscious felt so surreal.

Trixie tried quelching her concerns and focused instead on the fact that the doctor was positive that Jake would pull through in due course.

“You’re going to be better soon,” she told him, sure he could hear her despite what the nurses and doctors said. “And once you get out of here, we’re going to make a few changes so that life can be a whole lot better for both of us. You need to grow up, babe. No more wild partying, drinking or reckless driving for you. You’re not a crazy university student anymore. You need to be more responsible at work, and about life in general. We’re adults now, and need to take stuff seriously. I just wish I would’ve said this to you before...” The words fell away as emotion overtook her.

She was affirming this not only to him but to herself as well. No more irrational behavior for her. The consequences just were not worth it.

His fingers twitched where they rested on the white sheets and his brow furrowed before smoothing back into place, but still, he didn’t wake up.

She sighed, continued to stroke him and moved onto talking about stuff happening at work.

Although Trixie had not been allowed to leave the hospital as soon as she’d hoped, she was finally settling back into her normal routine.

She’d marched out of the hospital as soon as she could and was back at work in record time, disregarding the doctor’s order of one week’s bed rest. She’d ignored the whispers and rumors circulating the office about the accident. She gave work her complete focus.
