The Horned Mage: Books 1-5 Page 44

by Hayden Harper

She trailed off and a moment later we were both asleep, sitting together against the wall. We woke up sore from that position and showered together, our fingers massaging out whatever aches the hot water didn’t manage. There was no temptation to attempt another round of lovemaking, only a deep appreciation for each other’s bodies.

Fortunately most of our fluids were easily cleaned from her costume and she was redressed in it shortly after getting out of the shower with me. When I started putting on a clean shirt though, she stopped me, and fished a t-shirt out of her bag, tossing it into my chest.

Unfolding it, I found a graphic of Jabba the Hutt looking smug with a drink in his hand and his pet monkey-lizard on his shoulder. I raised an eyebrow at her.

  She grinned. “Now we match.”

I slid the shirt on. “Is this really how you see me?”

“Please.” She laughed, then stopped when she realized I was serious.

I had four girlfriends, all of them magically bound to me, two sons, one of whom was conceived with two of my girlfriends’ mother-slash-stepmother, and despite being together for as long as we had, I couldn’t help but feel like, despite the blessing all of them were, that I was an absolute pig.

The familiar feel of Jadeite’s slave Leia costume slide around my neck. “I love you, Caleb Marshal. I loved you even before all this magic stuff happened and all of us love you now. And you know what? I know that you love us.” Her loving expression suddenly turned mischievous and the chain tightened. “Besides, I know how to handle you if you ever do become a Hutt.”

We kissed then, a slow kiss that somehow still managed to hold all the passion we had just expressed together in bed. “I love you, Jadeite Rush.”

She let the chain slide from my neck and placed the end in my hand before leading me to the door. Opening it, she turned to wink at me over my shoulder. “I know.”
