Catch a Falling Star (The Silver Bridle Book 3) Page 9

by Caroline Akrill

What was it like revisiting your books after a bit of time away from them?

Actually, not as bad as I had imagined it might be. Of course, you tend to itch to improve and modernise certain aspects, but I have to remind myself that they are products of their time and it is better to concentrate on writing something new. Not Quite a Horsewoman, for example, was compiled thirty years ago, but I was quite surprised to find it did not seem particularly dated and is still in print and selling well; probably because the horse has not changed at all.

Finally, do you have any plans for any new books?

I have just finished a book called The Last Baronet and yes, it does feature horses although it is not a horse story, more of an English country novel, and it is general fiction rather than a teen read. I have really enjoyed writing it and I will be writing more – definitely!
