“Not before time.” added Bryson checking the sensors. “I’m going to be fighting off a boarding party if we don’t get a move on.”
Ford turned to the crewman manning the pilot’s console “Let’s do it then, looks like you have the honour of making the Themis’s first jump.”
“It’s a pleasure, sir.”
“I can’t believe Lucy missed the opportunity to do that! She’s been in love with this ship since she first saw it, if not the AI”. Bryn was shaking his head in disbelief.

Ford caught their glance. “Everyone’s entitled to a little R&R now and again, talking of which how many did we lose? Because if we don’t have a crew, no one’s getting any R&R any time soon.”
