“I’m not glass, Ruger! Don’t you dare treat me like I am.” Her voice is so close. I turn to find her standing directly behind me. I look down into her green eyes and smile.

“You are though, Kira. They ruined you. You said it yourself. You haven’t been with a man in years. I can see the way you flinched when I touched you. We are up against the motherfuckers that took you! We are goin’ head first into their lair, and if you can’t handle me touchin’ you, you sure as hell can’t handle them touchin’ you,” I growl in her face.

Kira doesn’t bat a lash. She’s stoic, I’ll give her that much. She can keep her emotions in check to a point, but I’m not them. When we get close, I can’t trust that Kira won’t snap. I can’t trust that she won’t lose herself into that world again and then become useless for anything.

“You don’t get to make that decision, Ruger,” she says with her teeth gritting together.

“I do, sweetheart. Hawk’s puttin’ me on lead on this. I don’t think you can handle it.” I reach up and brush a loose piece of hair behind her ear before turning and walking away from her again.

She doesn’t take the news lightly. I didn’t figure Kira the type to push a man like me. but when I knock on Hawk’s door and Kira slams into me, I know I’ve misjudged her.

“Open,” Hawk yells loud enough for me to hear. I smirk over my shoulder at her before shoving into the room.

“You brought me here for a reason, Hawk! I want to do it!” Kira snaps before I ever get the chance to say a word. Crossing my arms over my chest, I watch the little firecracker as she tells Hawk what she thinks.

“I can handle it. It doesn’t matter what this muscle head thinks. I know who I am!” she continues.

I stand with a smirk on my face as Hawk looks between me and her. He finally raises his hand to stop her from talking, which to my surprise she does.

“Did I miss somethin’? I know what you’re here for,” Hawk says looking at her.

“He doesn’t think I can handle it,” she says, pointing over her shoulder at me. Hawk’s eyes follow her to me. He cocks his head to the side when I decide to prove my point. I walk up next to Kira, grab her around the waist, spinning her to face me. Then I lean in, kiss her roughly, and watch her fight. And she does fight me. She loses control of herself. She hits, kicks, and bites me until I let her loose. Hawk watches it all unravel before him. When Kira steps back, eyes wild, I feel like shit.

“You see? She can’t handle it. She can’t handle bein’ around men who aren’t good, Hawk. One look at her and she’ll end up back where she was. I don’t need that shit on my conscience,” I tell him. Hawk looks to Kira. She looks sick to her stomach but quickly pulls herself together.

“I can handle it. I just don’t like you,” she snaps. Hawk chuckles pulling both of our attention.

“Sexual frustration can be a bitch, kids. Ruger, she’s on. Get the fuck over it. Kira can handle herself, and if she can’t, she will come to me, won’t you Kira?” He grits his teeth when he says that last part. She glances over and nods her head.

  Chapter 4

I run my hand through my hair as I look at the CCTV footage again. I’m sick of it. I’m sick of seeing her being hauled into that van and there is nothing I can do about it.

“Didn’t sleep last night?” Crow asks, slapping a hand on my shoulder.

“No. You?” I ask looking up at him.

“Nope. I need a goddamn beer,” he grumbles before walking toward the kitchen. I huff out a laugh and get back to watching the video. When I can’t possibly take anymore, I slam the laptop closed and rest my head in my hands. If I was a better person, a better brother she wouldn’t be in this situation. She would be home and safe. I hate to think about what’s happening to her or where she might be. It rips me apart inside. Crow taps my shoulder with a beer and I reach over, taking it. Taking a long pull, he blows out a breath and drops into the chair next to me.

“Heard you and the new chick didn’t hit it off too well.” He chuckles. I shake my head, turn and look at him and huff.

“She hasn’t been with a man since she was taken. I fucked with her head and she can’t handle it, Crow. One goddamn man touches her and he will know she’s off.” Crow shakes his head no doubt understanding where I’m coming from. I can’t have her on my mind when I’m in war mode. She can’t be there.

“Would it make you feel better if I fucked one of your boys?” her voice booms behind me. Crow chuckles as I close my eyes and blow out a breath.

“Well that might make it easier on you,” I mumble under my breath.

“Fine. You. Come on,” she snaps. Crow and I both snap around to look at her. She stands there looking as sweet as a fucking virgin in her little flowered top.

“Who the hell are you talkin’ to?” Crow asks her, clearly amused by the whole situation. I’m glad someone is.

“You! He wants me to fuck someone, you’re here. Let’s do it.” Kira stands with her arms crossed over her chest in a defiant stance. It’s a little amusing to see her like that. And offering sex? I grab my beer and turn away from her only to have her scream again.

“You think this is a game for me? I lived that shit once, Ruger. If I have to fuck this whole club so that you’ll trust me, then I will. I want nothing more than to bring them down just the same as you.”

Having heard enough, I shove out of my chair and spin on my heel. Heading straight toward her, she stiffens her spine and watches me. She’s nervous and with every right. I’m not one to be fucked with.

“You offerin’ pussy up to the enemy? Do you know what we do to people? To women? Why do you think that we’re any different from those assholes that took you?” I ask her, keeping my tone low and my gaze settled on hers. Kira swallows hard but keeps eye contact. There’s something deep inside that tells me not to push this girl too far, but I can’t find it in myself to stop.

“You aren’t my enemy, Ruger. They are. I’ll do whatever I have to so that you trust me. I want what you want. I want them dead.” Her eyes tell me their own story. One of strength. Taking another pull from my beer, I swallow hard and nod my head.

“Fine. You aren’t my responsibility Kira. You want in? You’re in, but when shit hits the fan, I’ll walk away from you quick as fuck. I’ll leave you to the lions if it means gettin’ my sister home. Get me?” Keeping myself under control is harder than I realized, especially when it comes to hard headed women.

“I got it. You don’t need to worry about me. I can handle myself. First thing I think we should do is check into doctors. They used a lot of fake scripts when they had me. I don’t know why they didn’t go with illegal shit but they didn’t. They would get scripts in the girls’ names,” she says, a sick look crossing her face. Shit.

“Scare tactic. Lettin’ them know that they know who they are and that they have the power to go after their family if need be. Fuck! I don’t like the idea of twisted docs but I’ve seen enough of them over the years. You already looked into them?” I ask her.

Kira shakes her head and says, “I was looking into some in New York but I never got that far before I came here. Those scripts could be coming in from anywhere.” Now it’s my turn to shake my head.

“Local. They wouldn’t risk out of state docs. Not when they couldn’t threaten them face to face. I know a few guys that dabble in street pharm. I’ll hit them up and see what we get.” Turning on my heel, I head toward the door. I can feel her behind me. It shouldn’t surprise me that she’s following along but in a way it does. I don’t want to be the one responsible for this girl getting lost again. I know what we’re up against and dealing with her shit on top of it isn’t going to be helpful.

“I want in, Ruger,” she snaps.

I don’t bother to turn and look at her as I make my way down the road to my house. She can follow if she wants. She can climb her too sexy for her own good ass on my bike and ride out with me but that doesn’t change the fact that there is something bothering me abou
t having her around. Something I can’t fucking place and I don’t like it.

“You’re on, sweetheart. I don’t make any promises about shit that goes down outside these walls. Keep that in mind.” I toss the beer bottle near my porch and grab my helmet off my bike. Passing it to Kira, she slides it on quickly. As soon as I climb on, she’s on behind me. Her thick thighs clamping around me, her heat pressing into me. Thinking all kinds of wrong things at the moment, I reach for her hips and slide her closer. It’s been a while since I’ve had a woman on my bike and fuck does it feel good.

“Hold on tight. I don’t take shit easy,” I tell her over my shoulder. Her hands tighten around my waist so I know she heard me. I rev up the bike, loving the rumble beneath me. Pulling up to the gate, I wait on the prospects to open it before speeding out onto the open road. One mission at hand. Finding my sister and making whoever took her pay.

  Chapter 5

I swerve through traffic like the fucking pro that I am. Kira tenses up when I pull down a back alley. This is where my job gets sticky. They know who I am but they don’t know her. I kill the engine and climb off, Kira not far behind me.

“Reggie! I know your sorry ass is out here!” I roar into the silent distance. Kira stands closely not saying a word just like I figured she would. I glance around and hear her gasp, which pulls my attention. Spinning around, I see Reggie with a gun pressed to her temple.

I let out a chuckle before he grins at me and says, “You ain’t never, in the ten years I’ve known your ass, bring a piece of ass around here.” Reggie’s dark hair is pulled back at the nape of his neck like it always is. His dark brown eyes dancing with mischief.

“Never had one to ride on my bike. Let her go. Got shit to discuss.”

Reggie leans in closely to Kira’s cheek, letting his breathe sweep over her. Her eyes remain locked with mine. I can’t say this isn’t a little amusing to watch because it is. I wanted to see her reaction to shit like this and there it is. She’s looking to me as a fucking savior and that’s far from what I am.

“But she smells like flowers,” Reggie announces but never shies away from her. I shrug my shoulders and look past Kira to Reggie.

“Hold her. I don’t give a fuck. I need to know about some illegal scripts. I know you get in on that shit.”

Reggie’s lips move closer to Kira’s cheek. There’s a slight panic in her eyes but her body is still.

“So, what do you need to know?”

“Names. Docs in the area that handle that shit,” I tell him. Reggie watches me intently before shoving Kira away from him. I don’t reach out when she stumbles and nearly falls.

“What the hell you need that for? Last I heard Bastards weren’t into that shit.” Reggie shoves his gun into the back of his jeans before crossing his arms over his chest.

“I need info from them. I ain’t into your way of sellin’ nor do I want to be. I solely need some information that the good ole’ docs can provide,” I say crossing my arms to mimic his stance. Reggie watches me, looking me in the eyes trying to gauge me.

“Only one doc in this area. Most of mine come from out of county. I don’t want the blow back of in-county deals, but I do use one. He’s a fucking schmuck. Greasy fuck that I wouldn’t take my dead dog to.”

I chuckle at that. If Reggie wouldn’t take his dead dog there, he’s the one I’m looking for.

  “Who is it?”

“Goes by Grissom Shaw. Smart guy but dumb as fuck if you know what I mean. Has an office over on Bergen. Can’t miss it,” Reggie says pulling a cigarette out and lighting it up.

“What do you want?” I ask knowing damn good and well that Reggie isn’t giving me this information for free. Nothing in this fucking game is free.

“Toss me a pound of your good green next time the prospect runs through.” Weed? All he wants is some weed? I can do that. Extending my hand, he takes it in his.

“Done deal, man. Thanks for this shit.” Reggie nods and pulls his hand away watching me.

“This about Angie?” His tone has changed. It’s lower and a little less hostile. Everyone knows about my sister. It isn’t a surprise that Reggie knows too.

“Yeah. We’re workin’ every lead and then some,” I tell him, my heart beating slightly faster.

“I heard that. If it was my sister, I’d tear this city apart to find her.” Nodding my head, I agree.

“That’s what I’m about to do. Prospects will run through next week sometime. I’ll shoot you a message when they do. Don’t go pullin’ your goddamn gun on them.” I nod toward him.

Reggie chuckles and says, “Yeah. I won’t. Hey, Ruger. Tell that fuck I say hello when you see him. Grissom is a sick motherfucker, if you ask me. I’ve heard he’s into the knock em’ out and fuck em’ type shit.” I shake my head when he says that.

“Guess it’s a good thing I’m the one goin’ in, yeah? Got a pocket full of condoms.” I chuckle. Reggie breaks into a fit of laughter as Kira looks between us.

“You don’t know what you’re gettin’ into with that one,” Reggie tells her pointing over his shoulder at me.

  “She’s about to find out.”

“Goddamn, I heard about that shit up north,” Reggie announces with another laugh.

“That was the best fuck of my life, man! You should have seen his face. He didn’t know what the fuck hit him,” I joke and laugh.

“Fuck that shit. I don’t ever wanna be on the receiving end of you, Ruger. Keep the motherfucking peace, bro!” Reggie laughs.

I grab Kira’s arm and yank her toward the bike before calling out over my shoulder, “Keep shit good on your end and you won’t be.”

  Chapter 6

“What was that all about?” Kira asks as we walk down the road.

I didn’t want to park too close to the office and possibly be spotted by someone. I glance down at her and say, “Life. My life. You’ll see some things when you’re with me that you might not like. Some you might. I don’t fuckin’ know, but you say one word, I’ll fuck you until you can’t stand. Got it?” Her eyes widen before looking straight again. I don’t need to hear the words; she got me.

“This is it,” she finally says as I glance up at the sign for family medicine. I bet he’s a real family man alright. Pulling the door open, I usher her inside, following closely behind her. I bypass the front desk and walk into the back like I own the goddamn place. I don’t feel much like chasing a motherfucker today, but I will.

“Which room is Doc in?” I growl at a nurse that walks toward me. Her eyes widen when I move in and grab her around the throat.

“I’m gonna have a chat with the doc. You ain’t gonna tell anyone, right?”

“No. Room two,” she says nervously. I let her go and head toward room two with Kira right behind me. Shoving the door open, I step inside and smile.

“Doc! Nice to fuckin’ see you, man. You can step out.” I point at the worried looking woman sitting on the table in front him. Fuck, she almost looks relieved that I told her to go.

“Who the hell are you?” Grissom snaps as his eyes find mine.

“You don’t know me? Shame. Damn shame. Let me introduce myself. I’m Ruger.” I extend my hand. Grissom looks at it, then to Kira, and finally back to me. When he grabs my extended hand, I jerk his body into mine.

“Hey, sweetheart? Do me a favor and stand in front of that door. Make sure no one comes in.” Kira moves behind me, and without even looking, I know she did what she was told to do. Grissom looks at me but doesn’t have a clue what to say.

“I hear you’re into sellin’ scripts. I want some info on who you sell them to,” I tell him. His eyes stay on mine, but when he tries to pull away, I lose it. I want answers and I know one sure fire way to get them.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Grissom says quickly.

Although I know he does, this won’t be my only visit to him. In fact, this is just round one. Spinning him around, I shove him against the exam table, his ch
est hitting hard.

“What are you doing?” he screams a little louder as I hold him down with one hand and jerk his khakis down with the other. Reaching into my pocket I grab a condom and rip it open with my teeth before using my free hand to roll it on quickly.

“See, Doc, I don’t like assholes like you. You’re all kinds of bullshit that I don’t fuckin’ need.” As he fights me and tries to get free, I grab my dick. Shoving into his ass, he screams out in pain. I lean over his body and whisper, “Scream louder and I fuck harder.” Grissom tries to calm himself but with my big dick shoved up his ass, that isn’t happening. I fuck him until I know he’s bleeding, I can feel it. What startles me though is glancing to my left and seeing Kira standing there in shock. Her mouth is parted, her eyes wild as she looks at what I’m doing to him and then to my eyes.

“You see, sweetheart, there are just some things I like to take my aggression out on,” I grunt as I thrust harder.

“You’re gay?” she asks, confused by what I’m saying. I chuckle and shake my head.

“No. A tight hole is a tight hole, darlin’. I could fuck him up or I could fuck him. Which do you think he will remember longer?”

Kira steps closer, lust dancing in those eyes. She hasn’t been fucked in a long time, I have no doubt this is turning her on.

“Ruger.” She says my name softly. The look in her eyes is killing me. My dick hardens inside of the good ole’ doc before I come hard. Slipping my dick out quickly, he falls to the floor in a heap. I kick the crying fuck to the side before grabbing Kira around the waist and setting her on the same table I just fucked him on.

“Get the pants off,” I growl as I roll the bloody condom off. Kira watches me like a hawk but doesn’t move. “I’m not fuckin’ you, baby but I’ll make that need go away.” Kira snaps her eyes around the room before wiggling out of her pants. I pull my jeans up and drop next to the sobbing doctor stuffing the used, bloody come-filled condom into his mouth.
