Prince of Vampires Page 6

by Emma Night

She moved her thighs open a fraction, her urgent desire for him overriding her virginal fears about what he was going to do. Ross palmed his throbbing cock in his hand. He ran his hand up and down, smearing his wetness, and hers, all along the hard length of his shaft. Amee dug her heels into the bed, raising her hips up as Ross pressed the head of his cock at her entrance.

She knew that it was going to hurt. She was a virgin and she imagined, tiny. His cock was thick and huge. Impossibly so.

She was about to protest when Ross leaned forward, covering her mouth in a hot, heady kiss. He stole her breath and her wits, at the same time pressing his body forward. She felt the tip of his cock enter her, stretch her. Her body froze but Ross went gently, giving her time to adjust to the feel of him.

Amee braced herself, lifting her hips to take Ross as he plunged in one with swift stroke. She cried out the sound of her mixed pain and pleasure were swallowed by Ross’ kiss. Ross paused for a moment until Amee’s breathing returned back to normal. She opened her mouth to him again, rocking her hips slightly. He began to move, building a sharp, intense pleasure deep within Amee’s body.

Ross moved, thrusting harder, creating a rhythm that built a pounding fire for Amee. He stroked her in long, hot strokes, pulling out before slowly thrusting back in. She opened herself to take him deeper inside. He filled her in an impossible way, in a way Amee had never even hoped to experience with anyone. Her tight, wet sheath closed around him and Ross groaned as he thrust, his breathing quickly growing ragged.

Thrusting deeper, Ross tore his lips from hers, burying his face in the crook of Amee’s neck. The warmth of his breath tickled her inflamed skin. Amee reached up and wrapped her arms around Ross’ neck. She kept one hand there, buried in his hair, the other stroked the hard sinew of his shoulder. His muscles flexed as he held himself over her. Their bodies moved together, slick and passionate, creating a rhythm that felt as natural as they were old lovers.

Amee’s heart beat so furiously she expected it to come out of her chest. Her blood thrummed rapidly in her veins. Her breathing became shallow, matching the rasping breaths of Ross. Her body felt tight, full of incredible tingles and raging nerves. She began to pant, preparing for the climax she knew was close.

Ross moved his hand under Amee’s hip, supporting himself on one arm. He lifted her hips as she bore down on his cock, grinding herself against him. His sweat combined with her own, mingling and glowing in the candlelight.

A sharp burst of pleasure shattered Amee apart. She cried out, screaming Ross’ name as she dug her nails into little crescent marks on his shoulders. The friction he created with his thrusts intensified her climax. It lasted far longer than she had ever experienced before.

Ross groaned, his body shuddering as he pulled out and spilled hot cum over Amee’s stomach and breasts. In a haze of passion she reached out, stroking the warmth, before bringing her finger to her mouth. She tasted the salt of him, the deepest part of his desire. She couldn’t say why but she wanted a part of Ross with her still, in her body.

He groaned when he realized what she had done, moving away. “God… Amee… you would make even a saint want to do that again.”

“We have the rest of the night…”

“Amee… we both know that we were only doing this out of necessity.” Ross got off the bed and searched around for something to wipe her with. Finally he settled on his t-shirt. He passed it to her and she cleaned herself.

Finally she gazed up at Ross, her eyes huge and liquid in the light of the candles which were burning low. “I think we both know that was the intent, necessity, but we found something else. Or at least I did… if you didn’t feel it then I want to thank you for endeavoring to make this special for me.”

“No… Amee… I felt it as well. It was incredible.”

“Do you think Ross, that whatever happens you might visit me again? I mean if our lives were able to return to normal?”

Ross pulled back the blankets and sheets and Amee, growing cold in the room, shifted under the covers as well. Ross immediately extended an arm and she snuggled, naked, against this stranger. He tucked her in against him and they fit as though their bodies had been made for each other. She had just met him but the trouble was he didn’t feel like a stranger. He felt familiar, in an odd way. As though she could trust him. Perhaps the fact he had saved her life engendered a trust all of its own.

“If our lives were able to return to normal, I would like to see you again,” Ross finally whispered into the crook of Amee’s neck.

She smiled into the growing dark. It wasn’t long before she gave herself up to sleep.

  Chapter 14

A knock on the closed bedroom door startled Amee awake. She sat up and glanced around wildly but quickly recalled the events of the night before. Her hopes sank. For a minute she had thought she was waking in her own room, back at her parent’s house.

Ross. Amee glanced beside her, disappointed the bed was empty. She felt suddenly shy, thinking about what had happened the night before. It made her body tingle just to recall what she had done. She shifted, pulling the sheet up to her breast. A sharp pain went through her when she moved her legs and she winced.

  “Come in,” she called.

Ross entered the room. He looked clean and fresh. He had obviously just shaved. The spicy scent of fresh cologne and aftershave He was wearing a faded t-shirt that was just a little too big. One that had probably been borrowed from Nataro. He had donned his jeans from the day before.

“I have some amazing news!” Ross said, smiling. His genuine happiness transformed his face into something that was a marvel to behold.

“What?” Amee asked eagerly. She leaned forward, almost forgetting that she was still naked. “Can it wait until I get dressed?”

“Of course. But hurry and come out.” Ross left, shutting the door firmly behind him.

Amee glanced around seeing only her bra and the wrinkled black dress from the day before. She got up and quickly threw them on. She knew her hair was a disheveled mess and she smelled like sex but nothing could be done for it. She would have to ask if there was a shower or bath.

Opening the door, Amee walked down the hall a short way until she came into the living room they had sat in the night before. Carolina and Nataro were there, sitting on the same couch as before. Ross sat, relaxed on the other couch across from them. Beside him was another vampire. She turned, her dark hair swaying with movement.

“Bettina!” Amee cried out. She rushed forward and Bettina stood, gathering her into a quick hug. “How? Why?” Amee asked, unable to get out a coherent thought.

“Sarali and Svetlana are dead. I suppose that I may have underestimated by own skill before this night. Or perhaps it was they who trusted me too freely.” Bettina hung her head and Amee could tell that the female’s acts didn’t sit well with her, however necessary they were.

“And that means,” Carolina added, face radiant. “That you are free to go!”

“Me?” Amee asked. She gave a sigh of relief then looked at Ross. “What about Ross?”

“Ross has to stay with us for a few days. We fear he will ever be in danger and we want to make sure he is equipped in the future to deal with whatever may come his way.”

“Oh…” Amee said, trying to cover her disappointment.

“Call your parents Amee. Tell them not to worry. We will make arrangements to take you home when it is dark as we cannot go out during the day.”

“Alright. Hey! I know it’s only been one night but did you figure out what was wrong with my blood? Or why it was so strong?”

Carolina glanced at Bettina and both females stared at Ross. He stood, coming over to clutch Amee’s hands in his own. They were arm and strong and she treasured the feel of them.

  “Ross?” She whispered.

“Amee… our connection was so strong last night because, Carolina believes, that you were once a consort of mine.”
r />   “A consort? Like… there were others…”

Ross shrugged. “I suppose there might have been.”

“Well… if we end up… getting together later… there better be only me.”

Laughing, Ross hugged her against his chest. “That, Amee, I can promise. You are more than enough for any man.”

  Epilogue

  Six Months Later

Amee glanced out her parent’s living room window, watching the headlights appear from down the road. Her stomach leaped with anticipation. Ross still had that effect on her whenever she saw him. Which was almost daily.

Consort in a past life or not, Amee and Ross were together now. They had been happily dating since that crazy, fateful night that brought them together.

Their relationship was made more complicated by the fact that sometimes Ross disappeared in the middle of the night. By the way he was always looking over his shoulder. He was now heavily involved in a world that was not quite his own… yet.

Amee feared that day. She feared the day Ross might be asked to go through his transition. Surely it was coming. He was a Prince and the vampire world needed him now, as they faced extinction, more than they ever had before.

The real question was… what would Amee do when that time came? She didn’t know. Ross had been careful to involve her as little as possible in what she preferred to think of as his other life. She knew that he didn’t want her to worry. Yet she sensed a time was coming when he would no longer be able to keep secrets from her. She didn’t know how much time they had and she made sure she swallowed her worries when they were together.

“Ross!” Amee let out a happy squeal as she opened the door. She didn’t even give him time to get halfway up the sidewalk before she threw her arms around his neck.

“You look beautiful tonight,” Ross said. “As you always do.” He swept her up in a tight hug and twirled her around.

“Ross, put me down,” Amee laughed. Secretly she loved the attention he lavished on her. She had curled her sandy tresses into ringlets and taken care with her makeup. She wore a red dress that was tasteful but fit her just right. Her red high heels, a new extravagance Amee had decided to try, clicked on the concrete sidewalk when Ross lowered her back to the ground. “What do you have planned for tonight?”

“I was thinking a nice candlelight dinner at a fancy restaurant. Followed by a long walk in the moonlight followed by a night in… at my place…”

“Or we could just skip to your place,” Amee said, grinning. Ross had a beautiful house. Her parents hadn’t been pleased with Amee’s first boyfriend… a man who was so much older and more experienced than she was but they had eventually been won over by Ross’ charm and by how happy Amee obviously was.

Ross laughed. His eyes sparkled. “What if I was hungry?”

  “You could always eat me…”

“I really like the sound of that. You may have just convinced me.”

Amee grinned. She held out her hand. Ross took it and placed a gentle kiss on her fingers. “Lead the way sir.”

  Description

  The rule follower

Belle Allenna, daughter of the Alpha of the Allenna pack is sure she is a complete failure. Nearing her eighteenth birthday, she still hasn’t transitioned yet which can mean only one thing. She isn’t a Wolf and if she is just human, she can no longer remain with her Pack.

  The rebel

Jesse Anderson is finished with the strict, rigid ways of Pack life. His father, Alpha of the Andersons, imposes rigid rules that Jesse has no interest in following. He’s done with barely surviving, with the raids on their enemy lands.

  One night of incredible discovery

When Jesse first lays eyes on Belle, he knows that she’s a Wolf, even if she doesn’t. He knows he has to help her find her transition and shift for the first time. The two share one amazing night of incredible chemistry, so much so that it almost seems like they were fated to be mates. The only problem… Belle still doesn’t know who Jesse really is. Will she ever be able to move past the fact that he’s the son of her enemy or are they fated to remain apart forever?

  Chapter 1

It was a good day. At least it had been until Belle Allenna walked in the front door of her parent’s small bungalow and found them waiting for her in the tiny living room. Her father was perched on the edge of the faded, floral print love seat and her mother sat beside him. She waited pensively with her hands folded in her lap. Her eyes darted nervously around the room, refusing to meet Belle’s face.

“What happened?” Bell stammered. Her stomach dropped out at the sight of her mother’s ashen face, sure something terrible had occurred.

She took a hesitant step into the living room, dropping the tote she took with her to work at her job at the library. The job was in Boulder, a short twenty minute drive from their tight, close knit community of Allenna. The Pack was of course, named after their Alpha, Belle’s father.

Howard, Belle’s father, was the son of John who was the son of Henry who founded the Pack. Howard had no son to carry on after him and Belle suspected in a couple years, if she did not marry or if she did and her mate was not worthy of the Alpha, there would be a challenge amongst the younger male Wolves to determine who would be their new leader.

“Nothing happened,” Howard said steadily. “Come here Belle. We just want to talk to you for a few minutes.” His grave face belied his calm words.

Belle began to tremble as she took slow, hesitant steps into the room. She sat down heavily in the armchair beside the loveseat.

“What is it?” She finally asked when the silence became oppressive. She wished her parents would just spit it out.

Mary Anne, Belle’s mother, grew even more agitated. It would have been easy to miss the signs but Belle knew her mother well. Even something as simple as a quickly indrawn breath and a set of white knuckles gave her away.

Belle’s mother was a small female. Barely topping five feet, she was far fiercer than her blonde haired, blue eyed, innocent visage led her to be. She was a strong Wolf, a tremendous hunter and the backbone of the Allenna family. Belle’s father was the exact opposite. He was dark haired with pale green eyes and topped six feet. For his great size he was a gentleman and she could tell whatever he was going to say truly painted him.

Howard frowned. His dark eyes looked uncertain, making Belle feel even more uncomfortable. She’d never seen such a look on her father’s face before and she was frightened. She could only describe his expression as something painfully close to grief.

“You’re almost eighteen now Belle. You’re finished school. You have a good job. You’ve taken on all the responsibilities of an adult and we couldn’t be prouder of you, I want you to know that.”

Howard paused and Belle braced herself for the huge but coming her way.

“But?” She asked when the silence hung heavy in the room again.

“But you haven’t been able to shift. You know our rules Belle. It breaks my heart to tell you that it’s no different for any member of our Pack, even if you are my own daughter.”

Belle glanced quickly between her father and her mother. Mary Anne’s blue eyes had filled with tears. Her lips were pressed together in a firm, straight line. Howard’s eyes flashed with sorrow and Belle could tell he was trying very hard to keep his emotion out of his face.

“So you’re going to kick me out or what?”

“No! Not that!” Mary Anne blurted.

Howard put a restraining hand on his wife’s knee and her lips pressed back into the same hard line.

“We have to obey the rules of our Pack. For your own safety Belle, if you can’t shift, you can’t stay here. You know that the raids are increasing. Our situation with the Anderson Pack is ever precarious. They are constantly fighting us, raiding us, attacking to extend their l
ands. We’ve kept you safe so far but as these raids are becoming more frequent, it leaves you in a vulnerable position if you can’t shift to protect yourself. Your mother and I have decided that you would be much safer in Boulder, in the city amongst humans.”

“But I’m not just a human,” Belle protested. The tremor that had started when she walked in the house grew steadily worse until she felt like her whole body was shaking.

At that moment she hated anyone who belonged to the Anderson Pack and their constant desire to take the lands that belonged to the Allenna’s. The Andersons were growing ever more powerful. They had been fighting with her father’s Pack for decades for control of the territory surrounding Boulder.

Howard and Mary Anne stared back at her sadly. “You are if you can’t shift,” Mary Anne finally whispered. Her eyes filled with tears and she made no effort to blink them away.

“We would find you a good apartment Belle. You already have a great job and a reliable vehicle. When you want to go to college, we’ll help with everything. You know that we don’t love you any less, you just can’t be here any longer, for all of our safety and mostly for your own. We want you to have the best life has to offer and you know that if you aren’t a Wolf then you can’t be with the Pack. You know how the others view humans.” Howard said sadly.

“Mostly with fear and distrust,” Belle admitted. She had gone to school in Boulder her whole life as well as being educated in the Pack and she had never had the same view of humans as most of the other Wolves.

Howard nodded. “There are many here who never venture into the outside world. You are my daughter so you’ve had the advantage of being raised in both worlds. You needed that knowledge to survive or to one day choose a mate and lead this Pack.”

“Except now I’ll never choose a mate. What a disappointment you must think me.” Belle’s stomach clenched hard. Her chest felt like it was going to explode.
