He would be instilled with microchips of high-level intelligence and instilled with programs even he was still trying to comprehend.
He studied world maps daily and knew by heart all the various locations that the Corporation looked after so dearly. He also knew about those on the brink of defiance.
Galax became his best friend; the magnificent billion-dollar robot of the Corporation taught him how to fight and how to stand tall in this crazy world. He didn't particularly like the other super robot, Omagus. That one seemed to keep to himself and was often rather preoccupied.
Although he and Omagus hadn't been able to form any type of good relationship so far, he hoped they might be able to one day.
As for President Purcell, he wasn't really much of a father figure; he was more like Trevor's strict and watchful instructor. He expected the boy to work hard and become something more than just a little snot that lived on the streets. This is pretty much what Trevor knew of himself and his past; he was a street kid years ago, constantly going from place to place trying to survive.
Today's final lesson was a quick fight with the pesky showerheads. Trevor had but a mere staff in his grasp, and as the thing slithered at him, Galax spoke out. "Wait for the right moment and smash the thing to pieces."
Trevor thought that was easier said than done, especially given that this thing would chew his leg off if he messed up. He then ran right and whipped his stick down on the metal fanged part of the worm thing. His stick banged it good, but it was not enough. The showerhead reeled about and starting zipping fast towards Trevor. The boy ran to Galax screaming, "Ahhhhhh! Help me, help me!"

Dr. Jansa Carver had nerves of steel. The sight of blood or a damaged body never gave her any reason to turn away. She was simply fascinated with human anatomy. She was a healer, a new-age medical specialist, skilled in both eastern and western medicines. Jansa was a medical genius.
Jansa's main field became apparent when she was one of a team of specialists studying advanced nanotechnology. She helped develop a small pill filled with thousands of tiny robots, which in turn, once in the body, would move about fighting everything from blood clots to even cancer. The science of building on a very tiny scale was something the Mystical Slayer took great pride in. It was a medical breakthrough, yet also an environmental accomplishment to take this training and make a huge difference in the world, namely curing cancer. When the class she was teaching had finished, she rounded up all the main house kids and headed back.
The competition between the three young girls had become heated already. Jansa knew it was time for another workout.
The girls saw that their teacher was full of extra energy today as she called out their warmup commands.
She had a little more pep in her step and a smile on her face. One would have to wonder why she seemed so giddy. The girls had little time to contemplate the possibilities.
Victory was still more of an outsider, so the two others picked on her verbally and goofed around with her as their target. Yet when it came to physical play, Victory could hold her own, even against both of them at once. Today, they were made to work as a team, and Jansa had planned this to make them bond.
As soon as training finished, Sun and Karma came up with another plan. With access to more of the off-limits sections of the homestead, the two girls dared Victory into going where she shouldn't.
Jansa had to keep an eye on them from the get go. She called them "the three little wild ones."
Before they had chance to stride off to raise the dickens, Jansa stopped them in their tracks. "Listen, you rascals, I will say these words day in and day out if I have to. It's a motto we as the sisterhood believe in and go by. We are only as strong as we are united, and we are as weak as we are divided. Watch each other's backs, always. Okay?"
The youngsters always worked hard in their martial arts training, prayers, and chores, pretty much daily, but again, too much free time later led to discovery and boredom.
With Jansa out of the way, it would begin again. She had promised a fun event, but Jansa became too busy so they were now all pouting and missing something fun to do.
The pair taunted the newbie and dared her to do what was not allowed whenever they could.
Karma was the worst of the two. She egged Victory on. "In that building, they keep the cyborg girl. Her brain is encased in liquid, and wires and pipes keep her alive. I bet you don't dare to go ahead and try to speak with her," she said to Victory as the three of them walked past the building.
Sun was next. She motioned to another off-limits section of the compound. "And over there, in the special lab, that's where they keep the drugs…the ones that you don't even get to have," she teased.
Victory pushed Sun aside and said, "Well, it just so happens that I'm getting the same thing as you are, girlies. Ha!"
Karma replied, "I doubt it. You're lying. We would know if you were getting the Starigen 6280. It's only for the lead trainees."
Victory smiled. "I get the stuff, so trust me, I am just as good as you are. Mahira injects me all the time."
The three of them went around a corner of the complex and entered a barn. It was there that they tended to the horses and other animals before eventually making their way up to the loft above.
They wrestled and did jiujitsu for fun. During one of their grappling sessions in the hay rolls, they unexpectedly found a long wooden box buried in the hay.
Karma pulled it out and the three all gathered around it with excitement. She undid the latch to open the box. The three girls giggled, happy to have discovered a secret treasure.
They found within it a magnificent battle-axe with the head of a robot. It was a cool but nasty looking, double-bladed weapon. Each of them marveled at its neat craftsmanship. They were about to take it out of the box when they heard a noise from below.
Night was settling in and they had left the barn doors open. Peering down from the loft, they saw a pack of wolves rousing the horses. They had to move fast. All three of the girls bolted for the loft ladder and jumped the last rungs to get at the wolves. These were not ordinary creatures; they were lusting for a fight. The girls noticed that these wolves had bloodshot red eyes.
The wolves' mouths were dripping in spittle and their fang-like teeth glistened in the light of the setting sun. These beasts were looking for their next meal.
Six large wolves on these three young girls would be a certain fight to the death. But the girls were not afraid; that was the danger of it.
The beasts were not about to run. The girls gathered together and formed a circle to keep the rabid things from overwhelming them. "Stay together," insisted Sun. "We can take 'em!"
None of the girls had weapons, so they would have to rely on hand-to-hand fighting to defeat these wild animals.
Sensing the brewing commotion, the horses span around and went crazy in their stalls, and the pack of wolves growled to mark the start of the fight.
Sun was first to scrap with one of the mad wolves. It leaped at her and they wrestled about on the barn floor. With good skill, she was able to get behind the thing and wrap her arms around its throat. From there, she squeezed and squeezed as the wolf thrashed to get free. Next, she wrapped her legs around the wolf's body and crossed her ankles so it couldn't escape. Eventually, the creature passed out. Another wolf had jumped on her and bit her arm during the struggle, and she was definitely hurt.
The third and fourth wolves attacked the Asian girl, and Karma tried to move about them and kick them in the face while staying away from their chomping maws. Despite being clawed about her legs, she didn't hesitate to fight on.
Victory had two wolves on her as well. She was able to roundhouse kick one directly in the jaw and knock it out, but the other leaped and grabbed at her side and bit a chunk out of her flesh.
Knowing they were in serious trouble, they all fought for their lives. Suddenly, Doctor Jansa appeared in the doorway. She
steadied a large laser rifle and fired multiple shots into the wolves fighting the young girls. Two more fell as the others bolted by her to escape.
She rushed to the young girls and hugged them tight before helping them to the house so she could tend to their wounds.
Shaking and crying, they were all visibly upset by the fight.
The master healer did her best to comfort them while patching up their wounds. She used some of the sisterhood's instant healing formula to spray over the worst of the injuries, which healed them immediately. The panic slowly subsided and eventually, she had all of them calmed down.
Jansa smiled to herself. It was just another fun night in the family compound.
Chapter Fifteen
Meanwhile, it had been a good break for the goatee brandishing bounty hunter with the long black hair. He was incognito, hiding within a one-time Native American reservation. His location was very much off the grid and not easily found on anyone's map these days. That's the way he liked it!
With the toppling of President Arn Marcou, his main employer, this much-needed break gave J- Rail a chance to reflect on life as a whole. He was actually calmed by the culture of these American Indians. They were still in seclusion and preferred to live off the land, but having the ability to make it out here like this was not so bad.
It was hard work, and it took the whole community to gather together and do the things needed for survival. It was by chance that he ended up here. In time, he discovered that having two or three lovely wives in this culture was not so far-fetched, even in today's world. He now lived the life of what he thought to be that of a hippie. He was not against helping out and doing work, so the whole situation was good for his soul. A killer finds it hard to relax, but it was okay out here. He had finally found some peace.
He'd never had so much sex in his life; these wilderness women, his multiple wives, were as giving as can be. The sex gave him a much needed workout.
He was enjoying it.
J-Rail, however, often found himself reflecting back on the days when he was dealing with the freedom fighting sisterhood known as the Mystical Slayers. He had a lot of respect for that crazy crew; shit, they almost spanked the entire Corporation.
They gave it a good shot, but it was an attempt that just didn't quite work out. The lot of them had probably let it go by now, which he thought was for the best.
There was one young Indian girl that always got his attention. Her name was Naiera, which meant "lil flower" in his clan. However, that was far from the reality of what she was.
The long black-haired girl was full of it; she would out-wrestle the boys in the community, out-throw them with spears, and out-shoot them with her bow. She had the spirit of a bear, not a flower. J-Rail could see her as part of that sisterhood he'd met years ago. Yep, he truly could; she would fit right in with those crazy women.
Losing that thought, he settled back like most days and considered which wife he would bed tonight. He soon decided he'd take all three. Especially when he was exhausted, he enjoyed seeing them make love to one another while he lounged back and relaxed. It was more fun that way.
This fresh air living had truly given the one-time bounty hunter a different life indeed.
Little did he know, the sisterhood he'd just been thinking about was closer than he imagined.

Rumors began flourishing as soon as the Y-Corporation began releasing the Bloom Bars. The meal replacements were popular for their health benefits, but now with the possibility of finding a golden ticket and a chance to be high up in the government of the Y-Corporation, these things were flying off the shelves, even at the extortionate price the Y-Corporation had placed on them. Omagus had gotten the ball rolling without looking back.
The actual ingredients were being sold as green tea, lots of fiber, protein, low sugar, many vitamins and minerals, and a special black elderberry formula imported from Europe; organic, mega healthy, and quite filling. They were a big hit!
Chapter Sixteen
The women finally arrived in L.A. The public parking was random and at one's own risk. They found a spot behind an abandoned restaurant that seemed to be good enough place to leave their vehicle while they made the rest of their way on foot. Raegan ushered the women down the road, cautious to always remain alert of their surroundings.
"Whatever we do," she noted, "we have to keep a low profile. There are a lot of watching eyes in Los Angeles." She motioned down to her right. "Look, police bots already!"
Just to be safe, Raegan cut down an alleyway to avoid the patrol.
The long alley stretched down the back of a giant building on one side and several other smaller structures on the other side.
The girls came upon a strange woman, who now stepped out of a doorway and stared at them. She beckoned them all inside, calling out, "Come here, ladies, enter within. I shall tell you a tale of your future."
The women all looked at each other and debated whether or not they should follow the odd woman. At least being inside would offer some amount of cover if the police bots came by.
The old woman's clothes consisted of dirty layers of browns and blues. She wore a torn green headscarf and her neck was hidden under a series of beaded necklaces and other jewelry.
The woman again called to them, "Come quickly, you must come in."
Her long, almost white hair trailed down her back, and Raegan noticed she wore a pair of rusty colored earrings, each set with blue stones. The sound of monotone voices coming from around the corner suggested the arrival police bots. "Down there," one of the bots instructed. "Go. I saw them move down this way, down there…go, move on!"
The Slayers huddled into the woman's small apartment to escape the danger of the open streets. Zaey shut the door behind them.
The gypsy gathered the women together and began. "One of you shall sit and represent all. Listen close and hear my tale of what's to come."
Raegan was the first to sit down in front of the fortune teller. There were no digital devices here, just a small table, a deck of tarot cards, and the white haired woman before them. The others all gathered around behind their leader.
The mysterious lady fumbled about with her cards and shuffled them with great concentration. Straightening the deck in her palm, she then flipped one face up, thus showing an old tattered card with drawings of the world in pictures.
She announced, "You are all destined to be part of this land's biggest hour." She flipped another card over. When the fool card came up, she shook her head slightly and stared up at the faces of the sisterhood with her dilated hazel eyes.
The crone moved her head to the side as her eyes rolled about in their sockets. Raegan glanced over her shoulder at her sisters and couldn't help but smile at their confused expressions. Making Raegan spin back round with a start, the old woman suddenly barked out in a scratchy voice, "Why do you think you can make such a difference, girls?"
Each of the Slayers stifled a giggle at her crazy screech and gave one another goofy looks. The creepy setting was perhaps making them laugh as a sort of defense mechanism.
Next, the old woman pulled another card from the table, and her lips smooched together as she rolled her neck and said, "Ahhhh, the hanged man. There is so much before you. This death, lingering and calling…"
As a seer in her own right, Raegan seemed frustrated; this woman was playing a game with them.
The crone went to flip her last card over, but before she could flip the card upright, Raegan placed her hand on top of the woman's and said, "Wait right there. I do not wish to see any more of your cards. I see your witchery for what it is. Tell us now of glorious success; one where we reach peace on Earth and where we can live together in a world we can be proud of."
The crone peered up as Raegan stood. "If this is what you feel to be your greatest hope, so be it, mystical woman. Your destiny awaits you!"
The sisters headed over to the doorway and peered outside;
the coast was clear.
Chaya reached into her pocket and dropped a green gem before the fortune teller. "For your time, old woman."
The white-haired woman looked up and smiled, showing very few teeth. "Thank you, my dear. Oh, how I love your diamond cheek studs."
The girls left the teller of fortunes behind and exited back onto the boulevard. It wasn't long before they began to hear the sounds of explosions and gun fire. Someone must have broken some serious laws.
The police bots had evidently found what they were looking for. Whatever resistance they'd come up against had obviously failed in stopping them from acting out, presumably in the name of the Y-Corporation. Bully tactics were commonplace in such big cities.
The women kept moving; it was too late to save those they passed by.
According to their navigation maps, the women had finally reached their destination; that being a series of well constructed buildings far in the southern sector of the city. They hurried inside and found themselves standing in the middle of a long hallway.
On a large wall-mounted TV, a news update came on.
Here at the Y-Corporation, we have heard the call of the people. Our newly created, professionally crafted nutritional bars are finally available. The announced golden tickets, six of them, can be found in any of our fabulous Bloom Bars. The growing excitement is amazing. This ticket is your chance to be the vice president of the Y-Corporation; to be the voice of the people in the thirty-first century. Times are changing, and we're reaching out to make the world better. Good luck to all!
Chaya frowned and looked about. "Where are the guards?"
Zaey replied, "There are no guards!"
Both Mahira and Raegan searched the entire hallway but only spotted a single elevator and a stairway. They also pointed out some small, weird looking spaceships down to the left. Mahira then motioned over to the elevator and stairs. "Those have to be protected. Everyone, be careful."
