  EMMY WATCH 2012

Exclusive: Pre-Nom Ballot Revealed! Deadlines Revisited!

We’re getting closer to the gold: The Emmy pre-nom ballot is in — and should be accessible to voters as early as today. The early deadline for the 2-minute reels was Dec. 22, but most actors and shows were given until Jan. 24 to submit. However, crews (like hair and makeup) will be allowed until Feb. 17 to submit their reels.

Great News: UNCENSORED has exclusively obtained the complete pre-nom ballot — and their submissions! Because we’re like that. Next week, UNCENSORED will reveal the actual reels.

Below is the letter NATAS voting members have received:

Thank you for volunteering your time and expertise during this Performer Pre-Nomination Round of judging. Please review this email and the included judging instructions carefully.

Attached is the ballot for ALL performer categories. It includes your Judging Instructions, 6 pages of ballots, and your Affidavit. As many of you know, we are initiating a new online viewing round this year to replace previous years ‘paper ballot’. You will notice for instance that there are no names included on your ballot. The names of the entrants will not be revealed until you have clicked on the Performer “Control Number” and started video playback. Once you have reviewed a performer’s video submission you may record their name on the blank space provided for future reference.

You are required to choose 10 performers from each of the six categories. This means that you are reviewing and evaluating the quality of work from all drama shows, not just your own show(s). You may make your selections either by clicking on the box to the left of the control number (which will mark the box with an “X”), or by marking the ballot manually.

You may return to your ballot, or to a performer’s submission, at any time, and it’s possible to compare multiple performers at once by keeping multiple viewing tabs open on your internet browser. We recommend using Firefox, Safari, or Google Chrome.

In some cases, on Internet Explorer, your computer may be defaulted to download the video files before playback is offered.

Please contact your show contact or our office for your Judging Id Number.

The Pre-Nomination judging period ends on February 27.

  SOAPILEAKS:

This Week’s Hottest News, Gossip, and Reviews!

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, CBS/CTV — Wagner out!

  • 2012 hasn’t been a good year for Jack Wagner. First he broke up with his superstar other half, Heather Locklear, after a heated, physical altercation that ended in police being called in, and then the popular superstar has been taken off contract at B&B, reports WAGNERWORLD.com. This not-so-shocking news comes on the heels of Wagner’s co-stars, Lesley-Anne Down, Brandon Beemer and Zack Conroy, being taken off contract over the past few weeks and months.

Pundits are already speculating Wagner could return to the role that made him famous: GH’s Frisco Jones. “It’s a possibility,” says a friend close to Wagner. “He’s not happy about B&B taking him off contract, though. For a long time, Jack thought he was king at B&B. [Showrunner] Brad Bell would allow Jack to pitch stories regar
ding his character for years and years. I doubt he’ll continue to recur unless he has to. Jack has a lot of financial obligations. He needs work.”

New GH head writer Ron Carlivati is a longtime Port Charles fans, so there is no doubt he’ll see the appeal — and ratings draw — of having Maxie’s transient father back in town. So, in the end, this could be a good thing. And hey, if B&B isn’t going to tell the story I think it needs to for Wagner to become relevant again —the reunion between soulmates, Brooke and Nick — then maybe this is a good thing after all. Besides, Nick has run out of Logans to romance at this point!

  • Did you catch the remarkable scenes between Emmy winner Scott Clifton and Don Diamont this past week? Beautifully written by Emmy winner and soap icon Patrick Mulcahey, Clifton nailed this poetic yet realistic confrontation between father and son. Mulcahey tells UNCENSORED, “I liked writing that show and Scott Clifton played it wonderfully.” Last week, UNCENSORED reported that Clifton teased the scene contained the best writing he’s received on the show — and boy, was he right! I smell another Emmy for Master Clifton in 2013!

By the way: Did you know that Scott’s real name is Scott Clifton Snyder? He’s changing his name legally because his fiancée prefers Clifton as her married last name. Also, who knew: Scott had a pet wolf named Mist for 12 years. Better than naming it Garin, if you ask me.

Meanwhile, in story 411, Liam chooses Hope over Steffy. But Rick warns the younger Spencer if he hurts his sister, he better watch out. Yep, it’s a little creepy how protective Rick is over Hope. Step away from the incest, Brad!

  • What happens when a soap actor crosses the dramatic street? He gets to Comedy Road! How bad was that? John McCook is going to break a leg on Feb.4 when he performs at ACME Comedy Club!

DAYS OF OUR LIVES, NBC/GLOBAL — Watch out Bope and Jarlena: Jope is back!

  • James E. Reilly is back: Turns out Alice’s latest secret (other than having a sordid affair with Ron Paul back in the day) is the fact that Hope and John are legally married. The couple has to visit Alamania to get a divorce (Jope can’t get an annulment because they consummated their marriage when Hope thought she was Princess Gina), but Bo is worried old feelings might emerge. Besides me, who else craved a real John-Hope pairing, just for shits and giggles? A Hope/Bo/Marlena/John quad could really get people talking. Moreover, I thought sexy Drake Hogestyn and gorgeous Kristian Alfonso shared a lot of chemistry.

  • Move over, Sami: Looks like Abby and Carrie are Salem’s new interlopers! Next week, a betrayed Sami throws Rafe out when she catches
